AN: I don't own LWD

Buzz Buzz! was the sound Casey first heard when she entered Kingston Regional Prison. She headed to the main office where she waited for a short time in line. When she reached the front of the line, the man blandly asked, "Name?" The man looked bored out of his mind in his office which was dull and plain, "C-C-Casey Ven-Venturi" She mumbled nervously. He handed her a badge and waved her on. She then got scanned by a guard and was then sent to a room full of hard, plastic chairs and dividers between each chair for "privacy". Then there was a glass wall, and on the other side was an exact reflection of the side Casey was on.

She waddled to the seat the officer instructed her and she sat down. A few minutes later a guard on the other side of the wall came in and a chain of men clad in orange pantsuits came walking in slowly. Casey's eyes shot up, looking for her man, and soon enough she saw the familiar auburn hair. His hair was full on top but buzzed at the sides, and she felt the urge to be able to touch him, but she knew she couldn't. He sat down slowly and looked at her up and down, her self consciously putting her hands on her protruding stomach. Both picked up their phones and stared at each other.

"Hi." he said in an uncharacteristically shy voice. "Hi." she replied quietly. "How are things?" She asked him, playing with her wedding ring nervously. "Ehh. Disgusting food, hard beds, no beautiful wife with me. But okay, only three more months left before I'm home." He smiled with slight happiness. She gave him a forced smile, and he leaned in, "What about you?" He asked. "Things are good." She asked, part lying, part trying to convince herself. "Baby.." He said gently, but with force. She took a deep breath, and wearily rubbed her forehead. "I'm trying you know, I'm really trying." She said shakily and he nodded understandingly, "but this is just so damn hard." She said, a tear finally rolling down her cheek.

Derek felt like he had just been punched in the stomach and like his heart had broken. She rubbed her stomach gently and when she looked back up, there were more tears running down her face. "I need you right now, and you're not there you're in here! I want you to come to doctor's appointments, ultrasounds, La Maz, baby shopping, I just want you home! And you're not." She finished quietly, now into full out sobs. Derek put his hand against the glass, "Casey. I miss you too. I wish I was out there with you, and I can promise you that I hate myself everyday for missing out on your life and your pregnancy. I love you and it's killing me to be in here, without you." Derek said sadly. "I'm due in two months Derek, and I'm so sad that you're going to miss it." She said. "Casey… please" He said sadly. "No, I'm sorry Derek, that wasn't what I meant. Baby, really what I meant was that I- we will be waiting for you when you come home. Your daughter and I will be ready for you to come home and I promise baby it will be like you never were gone. I love you." She said and stood up, knowing that if she didn't leave now, then she would never go.
