Carmon watched his mother close the cage door. "Now," she said, turning to her son. "I want neither of them to escape. I'm going to make sure that the Caesarian section is ready. Soon you might have a new little brother or sister. Unless, of course, the child dies," Tiana chuckled darkly and stomped up the stairs of the basement.

Nodding, Carmon instructed two Prawns to guard the doors and followed Tiana up the stairs, trying to copy her heavy footwork. As he entered the Caesarian room, Carmom heard the voices of his mother and the surgeon.

"I don't care if she dies, I want the child!" Tiana was screaming. "Do whatever you want! Re-write time if you have to!"

Carmon's forehead scrunched up in confusion. Tiana had said that Smith, Rachel, would survive the operation so that she could have more children in the case of the child dying. Carmon opened the door just a crack to see his mother and the surgeon.

The surgeon was starting to get angry with Tiana. "The child has to survive or I won't be able to harness the proper energy it possesses. And if, for some reason, the child does die, I need the girl to live or Project TM/Smith will be over and the boy..."

Tiana grabbed the doctor by his neck and screamed in his face, "His name is Carmon! Carmon Kyles! And he is my son!" she threw him down and watched as the man scurried to his feet and brushed down his lab coat.

"Right... I'll get right to it." The surgeon cautiously turned to some Prawns standing next to the operating table and nodded to them in silent communication. "Remember, I want her alive. Be careful with her; sedate her if you have to."

The Prawns bowed robotically and began marching in a line out of the room. Carmon's eyes grew wide as the Prawns came nearer and nearer. If Tiana found out that he had been snooping then he would be in big trouble. The door flew open and Carmon hid behind it. The Prawns marched past him and disappeared down the basement steps.

Tiana came out next. She gave a quick survey if the surroundings, failing to spot Carmon with her lack of awareness, and stomped off. The surgeon's assistant, who had been hiding in the corner of the room, poked his head out of the room and threw the door open, revealing Carmon hiding behind it. "Hey, Carmon, snooping again?" the assistant was about the same age as Carmon, maybe older, and was also am experiment that Tiana had done. But instead of getting the power they wanted, the project had failed and the assistant had gotten super intelligence.

Carmon chuckled and followed the assistant into a side room. He offered the boy a seat and started to speak, "Hey Sam."

SAM was the name of the experiment, same as his name. SAM stood for Speed Animation Man, or SAM. Sam was supposed to get the ability to run computers really fast, but an idiotic scientist had mixed up the chemicals. Tiana had 'discharged' him, meaning she either fired him, or, most likely, had him killed or tortured, maybe even experimented on. Anyway, Sam was the supposed first of Tiana's experiments and the others the continued helped around the facility, sometimes disappearing with no explanation other than they had 'served their purpose'.

Carmon's own name apparently stood for Charge Animation Right Man and Of Name, which Carmon found to be very confusing. Then again, his mother was never very good with names.

Sam smiled and replied, "Hello Carmon. Now tell me, what is Smith like?"

"She's rather brave and very protective of the child inside her." Carmon's expression fell. "To be honest, I feel sorry for her. And TM. Also we have a bit of a problem."

Sam nodded, wondering what it was. "What happened? Is she gone already?"

"No," Carmon shook his head, "it's just...apparently, TM, his brother and the wife of the purple one's teenage selves have come from the past."

Sam's jaw nearly hit the floor, "What! How?"

Carmon shrugged. "Don't know, but the teenage Project TM is in the holding cell with Smith. He is nothing like TM. I think Smith said his name was Mikey."

"Right." Sam sighed. A beep went off on Sam's arm. He pulled up the sleeve on his lab coat and opened a compartment in his arm. "Right, Doctor Sir needs me in the operating theatre. Smith is sedated and ready to deliver the child."

Carmon nodded and waved his hand in the vague direction of the door. Sam bowed to Carmon and ran out of the side room and towards the theatre. Carmon sighed once more and checked the compartment in his own arm. Tiana had sent a message saying, Smith is in labour. Go to check on the turtle. Do not go into theatre.

Carmon got out of the chair he had found himself sitting in and left the side room. Even though this was the only way for his mother and army to go forwards...he was still having second thoughts.
