A/N: Hey everyone! Sorry I haven't updated, i've not been the greatest. It's occurred to me that some of y'all think that i'm done with the story when I don't update after awhile. Well, I don't post a story and leave it unfinished. One way or another I will finish a good majority of stories I post, it may take a year or so, but I will finish it. If I ever feel like I won't be able to finish the story, I will put it on hold until I can find time to finish it or I will delete it, but that rarely happens. If at any point during this story...or even after the story is done, if you have any questions, feel free to PM me or leave a review and I will get back to you in either a PM or an authors note even if you don't want me to reply! So, without further adieu, here's this chapter! Enjoy!

The three Agents left the bus in the SUV a little after two-thirty in the morning, assuring everyone that if things went well, they'd be back by six or seven that morning, and if they weren't back by then, to come find them.; but Maria couldn't help but feel something would go wrong.

"Hey, we're going to get your sister back, don't worry." Grant said, trying to reassure her, looking at her with a look of not only sympathy, but also jealousy.

Part of him was jealous because the other agent had a relationship with her brother and sister that Grant never had with his own brothers. Grant had an older brother who was constantly mean to him and his younger brother, often beating the crap out of them, his mother often trying to get their older brother to stop, but was helpless. Maria had two siblings that loved her; her older brother often trying to protect her, and she in turn would protect Emily. The other part of Grant felt sympathy for her because the brunette deeply cared for Danny and Emily, and if she lost either one of them, she'd be crushed and John would undoubtedly start drinking again and Anna would be inconsolable and probably wouldn't be able to continue raising Ryder.

Maria sighed and finally looked at Grant, "I know. I just feel as though something's going to go wrong. I know it's possible with any mission, but it's just..." She said, trailing off as she fought to describe the feeling in the pit of her stomach, and it wasn't the growing nausea and dizziness she was trying to describe.

"A strong gut feeling?" Grant asked, raising an eye brow at her.

Maria nodded, "Yes. I strongly feel something will go wrong. Maybe not while we're getting Emily, but possibly afterwards. I can't explain it." She answered, pinching the bridge of her nose and briefly closing her eyes tightly, before opening them once more and looking at Agent May.

"Agent Hill is right. I feel it too, but we can't let that stop us from getting Emily." She said, looking at them in the rearview mirror before stopping the car and putting it in park as she added, "We can't drive the rest of the way, Marco will hear us. So we should continue on foot."

The other two agents nodded and got out of the car, following Melinda, trying their best to walk in the snow.

"Again...why the Arctic?" Grant asked, almost regretting not taking up Skye's suggestion to bring a coat with him.

"This is HYDRA we're talking about. Always expect the unexpected...or in this case, the completely expected." Maria answered as they continued to follow the older woman through the deep snow.

"Where is Emily being held again?" Melinda asked, briefly stopping to allow them to catch up before nodding and continuing on.

"According to Skye, it's almost like a cave or something at the base of a mountain. How far away are we?" Agent Ward asked, looking at the two women.

"About a mile or two. Hard to say, I can barely see a damn thing." Agent May explained, sighing.

It was true, the amount of fog was so thick that the three of them could barely see a foot in front of their faces.

"I just want to get their before we get frostbite." Maria said, crossing her arms as they walked, already losing her patience and beginning to get cold as they continued walking.

The three of them continued walking through the fluffy, deep snow, already their lips beginning to turn blue from the eight below weather.

In every other place it's nice and warm, but it's the arctic and i'm freezing my ass off just to go save a seventeen-year-old girl. Grant thought, hugging his arms around him in an effort to maintain his body heat as the cold breeze bit at his skin, shivers wracking through his body as frost started to form on everyone's hair.

All of them breathed a sigh of relief as they arrived at the cave in question, two guards standing at the entrance, seemingly unaware of their presence...

Meanwhile, Emily sat in a room all by herself. From the outside, it looked like an ordinary cave when she first arrived, but upon entering found that it was much more high tech than just a cave. Directly above them was what seemed like a control room where they conducted all types of...experiments, if she could even call them that. Marco would occasionally come back to the room every so often to interrogate her, mainly about SHIELD, their secrets, anything that would be useful to him, but the teen wouldn't give him any information.

Whenever she gave him an answer that he didn't like, he would leave and then come back to torture her. So far, she had been beaten, including hit, kicked, and punched, sporting bruises on her face, a split lip, and she was pretty sure she had a couple broken ribs and a broken wrist. A broken wrist she got when she struggled as Marco water boarded her, and it was a lot worse than it sounded, and he had whipped her. After she had had enough, she'd come up with completely false or useless information, making things up on the spot. The truth is, all she knew was the information that wasn't classified, and that was very little.

All she knew was what Maria had been allowed to tell her, mainly what part SHIELD played in the Battle of New York, and how last year Loki had come back and was working with the Red Room, but was stopped before another battle took place. Her sister never gave the specifics because she wasn't allowed, and Emily never asked, certain she'd most likely learn about it when she would train to be an agent...once she got more experienced of course, and aside from any of that, she knew nothing.

She looked up as Marco came back in, pulling her out of her thoughts.

"Ready to start talking?"

Emily scoffed, "I'll tell you nothing. I wouldn't betray SHIELD like that...or my sister. And you're asking me for information that could possibly hurt her and those that she works with and therefore, you won't get anything from me!" She snapped, irritated and exhausted after being interrogated and tortured for almost three days straight.

"You're not even an agent, so what does SHIELD matter to you?"

"My sister works for SHIELD, and I have friends who have parents that work at SHIELD as well. Not to mention the fact that Director Fury threatened to ship us all down to Siberia where we'd never be heard from ever again." She answered, struggling to get free of the metal restraints, ignoring the pain in her left wrist.

"Well, you aren't going to get out of here until you start telling the truth, so you better start talking."

Emily rolled her eyes, "Oh please! You and I both know that you're going to kill me as soon as you find out what I know."

Marco leaned back in the chair he was sitting in and crossed his arms, grinning at her.

"Smart girl, but you know what will happen if you don't talk."

Emily shrugged, "Well, maybe if you weren't such a God damn asshole, I would! No wonder why Skye left you. You're no better than my mother or father were!"

Marco had lost his patience; he stood up and grabbed her roughly be the shoulders, shaking her violently before back handing her across the face.

"Why do you keep doing this you insufferable little bitch!? No one will find you!" He yelled, slapping her again and heading to the door, stopping when Emily spoke once more.

"That's where you're wrong. My sister will find me and she's going to bring backup too."

Marco turned to her and smirked, "Yeah? Well where's your beloved sister now?"

Before either of them could say anything else, a loud explosion was heard from above, seemingly coming from the hide outs entrance.

Emily smirked, "There's my sister."

A/N: Let me know what y'all think! Please review :)

P.S. I'd also like to make one thing clear, Maria isn't pregnant, although she will be at some point, but most likely not in this story. It will probably be in one of my Avengers stories, or maybe by the end of this one she will be, i'm not sure yet. Just thought i'd make that clear.
