#54 Or Forever Hold Your Peace
"Derek Venturi and Raquelle Hynes to be married on August 21 at the Angelwood Church, Ontario." There is was, in thick, black, blocky script, making it truly official. Casey was in denial about the whole thing, she hadn't even met the girl and he was marrying her?
First, that was a red flag, next she asked the family, and none of them seemed to particularly like Derek's fiancée.
The day had finally come, and Casey knew there was only one thing to do, save the man she loved. She drove to the church and took a deep breath, slowly walking in to the grand church.
She quickly ran to the dressing room and barged right in. "Derek don't do this!" She begged bluntly. Derek whipped around, completely startled, "Casey… what are you doing here?" He asked quietly. Casey walked closer to him, "I'm here to stop you. To save you from making a huge mistake." Casey replied honestly. "What d you mean? You think getting married is a mistake?" He asked quietly. "Marriage? No. Getting married to Raquelle? Yes. Derek I still love you, and I know you feel the same way. So call it off and meet me in the back of the church," She walked closer to him, 'I'll be waiting." She kissed him on the cheek and slowly headed out the door.
Don't say yes, run away now, I'll meet you when you're out, of the church at the back door
She slowly slid in to the aisle where she saw Racquelle slowly walking down the aisle, looking insane in a tiara and a dress so poofy that Casey wondered how she could even walk. She spotted Derek at the end of the aisle, looking handsome in a classic black tux.

Anxiously she waited for his fiancée to finally reach the alter. She gave him one last fleeting look and then quietly slipped out the door.
She waited outside for a while, nervous to see if Derek would come.
After 15 minutes, Casey was starting to get nervous, where was he? Finally she started to give up and open her car door when she heard the loud sound of a throat clearing, she turned around and saw Derek, with his jacket in his hand, slung over his shoulder, bow tie undone, and the top three buttons on his dress shirt undone. She smiled, and ran to him, and he lifted her up pulling her into a big kiss.
Oh baby, I didn't say my vow,
So glad you were around when they said 'Speak Now'.
