Severide and Shay's Apartment- 6.30am
"Morning," Shay mumbled, as she padded into the kitchen where Kelly was pouring his first cup of coffee.
"Morning, how was Gabby last night? I heard her scream a few times." Severide asked, sitting at the breakfast bar.
"A few nightmares, but other than that she was good." Shay replied, also pouring a cup of coffee for herself and Gabby.
"Morning," Gabby said quietly, walking into the kitchen and sitting next to Severide.
"How did you sleep?" Shay asked, handing her the mug full of warm liquid.
"Okay, what time is shift today?" She asked, looking confused between them both as they both had work today.
"Boden has given us all a couple of days off," Severide explained, leaning forward to lean on the bench.
"I'm fine, I just want everything to go back to normal." Dawson said, sighing deeply.
"Your brother and sister-in-law are coming around sometime this morning." Leslie said, sitting next to her.
"Okay, I'm going to go and shower and get ready for the day." Gabby said, standing up and walking off towards the spiral staircase.
Antonio and Laura's Household-7.30am
"Diego! Let's go! Your mother is waiting!" Antonio yelled up the stairs, as Eva came running down with her backpack on her back.
"I can't find my reading book!" Diego yelled back, as he also ran down the stairs.
"What does Mom always tell you?" Eva asked, turning to face her younger brother.
"Pack my bag the night before." Diego mumbled, as Laura handed him his reading book which was in the kitchen. "Thanks Momma,"
"You're welcome, now out to the car. Go." She said, pointing towards the front door.
"I don't know how you do it," Antonio said, taking the car keys from her hand and kissing her cheek as they walked out the front door.
Shay and Severide's Apartment-8.30am
"Hey guys, is Gabby up?" Laura asked, as they walked into the apartment after their doctors appointment.
"Yeah, she is upstairs reading. She should be down in a minute. How did the appoinment go?" Shay asked, walking with them into the kitchen where Severide was preparing coffee for everyone and tea for Laura.
"Appointment went great, we can find out the gender if we want at the 20 week appointment." Laura said, smiling at as they sat down at the breakfast bar.
"How is she doing?" Antonio asked, accepting the mug from Kelly and sitting down at the breakfast bar.
"Nightmares last night, she is still nervous around Severide, we will see how she goes today." Kelly said, as Gabby walked down the stairs and into the open planned kitchen/loungeroom/dining room.
"Hey Gabs," Laura said, getting up and hugging her tightly.
"Hey," she replied, hugging her back and smiling lightly at Antonio who smiled back.
"How you feeling?" Antonio asked, deciding not to push her.
"Better," she replied, sitting down next to Shay and taking the mug offered from Kelly.
"So I was thinking did you want to stay with us tonight? Come and see the kids. They miss you." Laura said, breaking the silence between them all.
"Sounds like a great plan," Shay said, trying to encourage Gabby to go.
"Sounds good to me." Antonio said, seeing that Shay was trying to encourage her.
"Yeah sounds great," She said, finally giving in after much thought about it.
1 hour later- Antonio and Laura's Household
"How you doin?" Gabby asked Antonio quietly as they sat on the sofa watching last night's Blackhawks game that they missed.
"Good, how about you?" Antonio replied, a little stunned that Gabby was talking to him.
"I'm okay, I'm just not ready to talk to anyone yet." She said, leaning back in the chair and looking at him out of the corner of her eye.
"I have an idea," Antonio said, looking at her as well before pitching the idea.
"Is it a smart one or a dumb one?" Gabby asked, turning fully to look at him, Laura snorted with laughter from where she was sitting on the armchair with a book.
"We both go and see a therapist together. We talk to the same person at the same time," Antonio said, glaring at Laura before looking towards Gabby for her reaction.
"Good idea," Laura said, looking up and putting her 5 cents worth in to the conversation.
"I think that will work," Gabby said, agreeing with her brother and sister-in-law.
"Great, we have an appointment tomorrow at 10.20am." Antonio said, as both Laura and Gabby shot him an exasperated look.
"You're an ass," Gabby laughed, as both Laura and Gabby threw a cushion at him.
"There's the smile I've missed," Antonio said quietly, as they all laughed together.
"You're still an ass," Gabby laughed, leaning back in her seat as they continued to watch the Blackhawks game.
Shay and Severide's Apartment
"Can you get the door Shay?" Kelly yelled from upstairs where he was getting ready for a date with the one and only Detective Erin Lindsay.
"Hey Casey, Severide is upstairs getting ready for a date." Shay said, letting Matt into the apartment and closing the door behind him.
"Hey Shay, I'm actually here to see Gabby. Is she here?" Matt asked, looking around for her.
"No sorry, she went home with Laura and Antonio for tonight." Shay said, with an apologetic look on her face as they stood in the kitchen.
"Oh thats okay, I will catch up with her there. Has she spoken about what happened?" He asked, leaning against the breakfast bar.
"No, she has had nightmares, but we are hoping that she opens up to Antonio and Laura." Shay said, as they walked towards the front door together.
"Thanks Shay, I will catch up with you later. And tell Severide, we know who he is going out with." Casey said, laughing before leaving and heading towards Antonio and Laura's house.
Laura and Antonio's House
"I'm going upstairs to lay down for a little while. Let me know when the kids are home for school." Gabby said, standing up and heading towards the stairs.
"Okay Gabs," They replied, watching her leave the room and go up the stairs.
"I'm glad she is talking to you again," Laura said, looking up at her husband as he watched the rest of the game.
"So am I, I just hope she talks tomorrow at the therapist appointment." Antonio said, leaning back and looking at her.
"So do I babe, so do I." Laura said, before turning back to book and he watched the rest of the Blackhawks game just as there was a knock on the door.
"I'll get it babe," Antonio said, standing up and kissing her before walking out in the front hall and opening the front door to find Matt standing on there. "Matt, what are you doing here?"
"Antonio, I've come to see how Gabby is. Is she here?" Matt asked, looking at the older man.
"She is. She is resting at the moment. Can I take a message?" He asked, not letting the firefighter into the house.
"Can you just tell her I stopped by. It'd be appreciated." Matt said, walking backwards towards the front steps.
"Sure." Antonio said, closing the door behind the retreating fireman's back and turning back to walk into the lounge room where he saw Laura standing in the door way.
"You could of at lease invited him in babe," Laura said, turning around and walking towards the kitchen to put a pot of coffee on.
"He scared her in the hospital, the way he came running at her." Antonio argued back, following her into the kitchen and leaning against the breakfast bar.
"Baby, she was also scared of you. Just give them some time together and she will open up to him." Laura said, leaning on the counter across from him with her arms crossed in front of her.
"You're right. And I'm sorry." Antonio said, wrapping his arms around her and kissing her cheek.
"Stop sucking up," Laura laughed, wrapping her arms around his waist and resting her head on his chest.
"I love you too." Antonio chuckled quietly as they enjoyed each other's presence.

"Mom! We're home!" Eva called as they both walked through the door that afternoon after school to find their aunt walking down the stairs with a smile.
"Hey guys," Gabby said, smiling at her niece and nephew as they ran towards her.
"Aunt Gabby!" They yelled, wrapping their arms around her waist and hugging her tightly but gently.
"Oh I've missed you guys so much." Gabby said, hugging them tightly.
"We've missed you too. Where is Mom and Dad?" They asked, looking around for them but not finding them.
"They're asleep on the lounge. How about you come help me find something to cook for dinner and we will wake them when it's ready." Gabby suggested as they walked through the family room where they were sleeping.
"Awesome!" They both exclaimed, as they followed their aunt into the kitchen.
Hiya guys, the next chapter. Will Antonio and Gabby open up to each other and to the therapist? Will Antonio let Matt near her?
