"Lovin' you is easy cause you're beautiful …Lovin' you is more than just a dream come true
And everything that I do is out of lovin' you…Stay with me while we grow old…Cause lovin' you has made my life so beautiful"-Minnie Riperton
Joss sat on the bed while she flooded laundry. She felt truly content and happy. She had long since retired from being a cop after she decided that it would be too dangerous for both her and John. So now she was a lawyer again.
She moved over to the dresser and placed Johns folded white t-shirts next to his socks and underwear.
It was odd living out in the suburbs it was always so quite after 7:00PM.A smile spread across her face who knew that she and John would be living the suburban life.
After she put away all the laundry she went to head back down stairs to finish making dinner with Bear following behind her.
She chuckled as he walked next to her between John and Bear she had two guard dogs. Ever since John told Bear she was pregnant the dog had permanently attached himself to her legs. As she closed their bedroom door she paused and looked at the door next to their room.
She changed her direction and went into the room. She stopped and smiled as she looked at the recently painted lavender walls that John and Taylor had spent last weekend painting before Taylor went back to college.
She moved further into the room and touched the hand painted and carved double baby cribs. She had never known that John was a carpenter. A smile spread across her face John had spent 4 months building and assembling the cribs.
When she found out she was pregnant with twins at 41 she was ready to dig out her gun and bust a cap in John's ass.
She giggled although John tried to hid it she could tell he was nervous and scared to be a father. But after awhile he got the hang of it. She loved when he would talk to their girls through her stomach. When he first felt them kick he almost broke down.
She rubbed her protruding belly, their little girls were going to be so spoiled. As soon as they were born she knew she was going to have to be the tough parent she could already tell John was going to be warped around their little fingers.
God she loved him with every fiber of her body, heart, and soul. Whenever she looked into his eyes she saw his beautiful soul and just how amazing he was in all of his glory, loving him came so easy to her.
It was ironic how life worked out she would have never imagined that she would met her soul mate in lockup.
Joss turned around and headed for the kitchen to finish making dinner.
