"I needed the shelter of someone's arms…I needed someone to understand my ups and downs...With sweet love and devotion, deeply touching my emotion, I want to stop and thank you baby…How sweet it is to be loved by you"-James Taylor
John sat in the kitchen as he silently watched as Joss moved about his kitchen. John looked down at his arm cast; he was on bed rest until his arm healed one of their numbers stabbed him through the arm with a hunting knife.
Had it been two years ago he would be antsy at having to sit around and heal but two years ago he didn't have an amazing girlfriend to nurse him back to health.
John smiled as he watched Joss make him dinner while she was still dressed in one of his shirts. It still amazed him to this day that she was with him. He never saw himself as the needy type but when it came to Joss he needed her as much as a person needed air to breathe. When he first met her he never would have guessed that he would find his shelter in her arms.
He cherished her passion devotion towards him, he sometimes felt like she was touching his very soul whenever she was around. Sometimes he would close his eyes and try to imagine his life without her and every time he failed, he couldn't make it 30 seconds without envisioning her face or a reminiscing on a memory of them together.
John slowly got up and made his way into the kitchen to stand behind her. He gently wrapped his good arm around her waist and kissed her cheek. When she turned her head towards him he kissed her lips and thanked her for taking care of him and loving him.
