John's arms were tired and his feet hurt, he knew they had only been at the mall a few hours but it felt like centuries. He asked Joss to be his date so he could stop an ambassador from potentially getting killed. Joss said she needed a new dress so she dragged him to the mall to get one.
Finding one new dress turned into a manhunt at 6 different stores. When she finally found the one she liked he thought they were done but he was mistaken, a new dress apparently required new shoes. So two different malls later she found the perfect shoes. Along the way she did some other shopping for herself, Taylor and her mother and now he couldn't feel his arms. His hands and arms going numb but it was his own fault because he insisted that he carry all the bags.
Luckily for him she gave him a break and let him sit on one of the benches while she picked up one more thing. As he was sitting down he saw a family walk by. The man was carrying twice as many bags as his wife dragged him into a shoe store.
John let a small smile moved across his face; he and Joss had been officially dating one another for 3 weeks. When he had kissed her in the morgue he was acting on impulse. She brought out a side of him that he thought he had buried and he realized that she was more than just a friend. At first he wanted to break things off before they started but he couldn't help himself he just wanted to be around her anyway he could. John shook his head and let out a small laugh she turned him into a fool in love and all she had to do was smile at him.
John was brought out of his thoughts when Joss walked back up to him. He raised his eyebrow as he stared at her dark and light pink striped bag and smirked. He asked her what she got as he reached out to grab the Victoria's Secret bag. She moved the bag out of his reach, winked at him and said it was a secret and he'd find out later. He grabbed the rest of the bags and followed her out of the mall.
As they made their way to the car he smiled, yea he was in love with Joss and nobody else and he'd do anything she asked him to.
