Chapter 28: Burnt Eggs
The next day I was woken up by the smell of something burning, I sat up in alarm and ran to the kitchen seeing the pan on fire.
"BLAINE! I THOUGHT WE AGREED THAT YOU COOK NOTHING!" I yelled in distress grabbing a blanket and tossing it over the fire as Blaine was looking at the fire frozen.
After the fire was put out I went to Blaine.
"Blaine are you okay?" I ask taking his head in my hands.
"I'm fine, just didn't know that my cooking skills were that bad." Blaine says still looking at the place where the fire was a minute ago.
"Well this is a bit worse than the pancakes from last time." I say laughing making him laugh too.
"Yeah tell me about it." Blaine says.
"I don't think we'll be able to eat this." I say poking the charted pieces of the egg.
"It's a nice effort, thank you." I say kissing Blaine on his cheek.
"Can you make something?" Blaine asks looking sheepishly at me.
"Sure." I say grabbing four fresh eggs and cracking them in a new pan making them sizzle.
"Here you go Blaine." I say as I lay two of the eggs on his plate.
"Thank you." He says as he kisses me on the mouth.
I sit down on the opposite side of the table and dig into my own eggs devouring them as if I hadn't eaten in years.
"You hungry?" Blaine asks seeing this.
"The little one is making me hungry." I say rubbing my belly.
"Well you have an excuse to eat for two." Blaine said smiling.
"I don't need an excuse." I say kissing him over the table.
After breakfast I sat down on the back porch facing the lake in the mountain.
As Blaine joined me on the bench and then he wrapped his arm around me.
"Can we go swim?" I asked seeing the clear water.
"Sure we can, me and my parents went on vacation here on time and it's really refreshing." Blaine said as he walked inside to make the duffel bag to change.
"Relax little one." I say as I feel the baby kick my belly really hard, I put my hand on my belly, rubbing it.
"Kurt, sweetheart are you ready to go." Blaine said as he opened the sliding door the bag over his shoulders.
"I am." I say as I stand up and kiss Blaine full on the lips.
We started walking the path leading to the lake arms interlinked, halfway there I suddenly grabbed my stomach.
"Kurt, you okay?" Blaine asked seeing me grabbing my stomach and grimacing.
"I need to sit down for a while." I say as Blaine eases me down to the ground.
"What's happening." Blaine asked.
"I, I don't know, the baby just moving so much." I say.
"Maybe we should go back." Blaine suggested.
"No, no, I wanna go swimming." I say and lean on Blaine shoulder to stand up and walk forward.
"Are you coming?" I ask seeing him still sitting there.
Blaine stood up sighing.
"I still don't think this is a good idea." Blaine said pulling my waist closer.
"Well, if I can't swim I'm gonna sunbath, we only have one honeymoon." I say trying to get Blaine to understand.
Finally he gave in a we finished our walk to the lake and once there we pulled on our swimming and held hands as we slowly made our way deeper in the water.
"Oh, Blaine why didn't you tell me there was a waterfall here." I say as I swim towards the waterfall coming out of the mountain and dunked my head under it.
"It's so beautiful here." I say as Blaine joins me behind the waterfall.
"I know I wanted to keep the waterfall a surprise." Blaine said as he kissed my wet hair.
"I love you so much." I say as I let myself float in Blaine's arms.
"I love you too." Blaine said as he hugged me closer.
