"Mike?" They called out.

Mike quickly stood to his feet and walked up to the woman.

"Your dog is going to be fine..." She sighed.

"Do you have any idea what animal could have possibly done this?" She asked.

Mike couldn't believe it... Violet was alright... She was going to be alright.

Coming back to reality, he looked at the woman and shook his head.

"N-No. She ran into the woods and came limping back bloody." He replied still overwhelmed by

the joy that his beloved pet was going to be fine.

"Well the tooth marks in her don't belong to any animal we know of. There wasn't any DNA on her either... Whatever the animal was it was

big and didn't struggle to overpower her."

"I have no clue what it could've been..." He admitted.

"Anyway, you can come by in a couple days to get her."

Mike nodded. "Thank you."

Later that day he was lying in bed.

He needed sleep before going back to work...

The storm had grown worse and the rain was coming down hard.

As Mike fell asleep to the sound of rain, he remembered his childhood memories.

His memories carried over into his dreams.

He saw himself running outside, jumping over logs and stones.

Mike ran through the woods without a care in the world.

Jumping over a log, he fell down and tumbled into a creek.

He lifted his head out of the muddy water and laughed.

Sure he had gotten some scrapes and cuts on the way down, but he wasn't the type of kid to cry over that.

Sure it hurt, yeah. But he wasn't going to cry over it.

"Mike?" A voice called out from behind him.

He turned to see a little girl his age run up to him.

Her brown hair was frizzy and her brown eyes locked with his.

"Mike?" She called out smiling.

"Emily?" He smiled and stood to his feet.

"Hey Mikey!" She giggled and walked up to him.

"I thought you were going out of town for the weekend?" Mike asked as he wiped some mud off his face.

"My parents are. But they left me with my aunt." Emily explained as she sat down on a rock.

"Cool!" Mike giggled.

"Wanna play a game?" Emily asked, jumping to her feet.

"Sure! What game?"

"Tag! You're it!" She laughed and tapped him on his arm.

Mike chased her through the woods and back into his yard.

The two ran around for a minute before Mike tackled her to the ground.

Emily pushed him off of her and giggled. "You cheated!"

"No I didn't! " Mike smiled and sat up.

"Sure." Emily teased.

Mike rolled his eyes and stood up. "What do you want to do now?"

"I-"

"EMILY!" A woman called out running up to her. "What are you doing here?!" She asked grabbing onto her arm.

Emily pulled away from her aunt. "I told you I was going over to a friend's-"

"I didn't know you meant Mike!" She yelled and grabbed onto her arm and started to walk off.

Emily looked back and Mike sadly and waved by.

Mike smiled a bit and waved goodbye as Emily walked off.

Waking up, he sat up and rubbed his eyes.

He turned and looked at the clock.

It was 10:35 pm.

Almost time to head back to Freddy's...

Mike got up and walked downstairs.

He sat down on the couch and was thinking about his dream.

His friend... His childhood friend... Emily...

He remembered when one day Emily never showed up for school... His parents never told him what happened to her...

Her parents had moved right after she dissappeared...

Mike had always wondered what had happened to her...

If she was still alive... What happened all those years ago...

He turned and looked at the clock.

"11:30!?" He gasped. How long had he been sitting there?!

Quickly he jumped up and ran out to his truck.

He was going to be late.

What would the Puppet do?

It didn't matter. He had to get there and quick.

Meanwhile Mangle walked into a empty party room.

In her paws, she held a child's drawing.

She wandered over to the corner and sat down.

She looked at the drawing and shivered.

The child's drawing showed her being torn apart...

Mangle sighed and hung the drawing back onto the wall.

She hated the memories of the past restaurant...

The memories of her being torn apart...

The pain of being ripped apart and put back together incorrectly by the children...

She lost a eye...She lost most of her body...

Being scrapped was most of the animatronic's number one fear...

For her it was a nightmare...

She knew what it felt like to be torn apart...

She knew how badly it hurt.

What if it happened again? What if the children tore her apart again?

She shouldn't be thinking about that...

Mangle... She got that name because of what happened to her.

Her original name was Foxet, being Foxy's replacement and all...

She looked up and saw Toy Bonnie standing in the doorway smiling.

"Heya Mangle!" He cheerfully called out as he walked in and sat down beside her. "Somethin wrong?" He asked.

"No...Just...Thinking..." She sighed and smiled a bit.

"About?"

"The past...The future..."

"Mangle..." He smiled, putting his paw on her shoulder. "The past is in the past... The future is what we need to worry about..."

"I know...But it's just...I'm ashamed of my past... And it's just... How much time do we really have left?"

"What do you mean?" Toy Bonnie asked, his smile fading.

"Well...I mean...after everything went down... The bite... The..." Her ears drooped and she turned away and sighed.

"The kids..."

Toy Bonnie turned away and sighed, his ears dropping down.

"Again Mangle...The past is in the past..."

"But the kids...I mean...The others know that they are dead kids..." Mangle trembled a bit.

"...And?"

"Are we kids?" Mangle asked turning to him, tears in her eyes.

"I...I don't know..." He admitted. "But either way...Kids or not...We still have souls..."

"How do we know that for a fact?"

"Well...We aren't AI...We have something more...I think...I think we do have souls..."

Mangle was silent for a moment. "And if we don't?"

"Then when the party's over... It'll be over..." Toy Bonnie sighed.

Mangle's ears perked up.

Mike was here...

Toy Bonnie stood up and sighed.

"If we don't have souls... Then..." He stopped and looked away from her.

"Then it's over when it's over..." Mangle sighed.

"Y...Yeah..." He stuttered.

He stood there for a couple moments in silence before turning and leaving.

Mangle sat there wondering...

"Are we AI's? Or...are we more than that?"
