Chapter 35: News
The next day Kurt was woken up by the sun shining in his face, and hearing a knock on the door.
"Blaine." Catherine said as she peaked her head in the door.
"He's not awake yet." Kurt whispered.
"Oh, well if he wakes up tell him to find me." Catherine said as she closed the door again and Kurt turned around pressing his chest to Blaine's back.
"If only I could wake up like this everyday." Blaine said as he turned around so they were nose to nose.
"We'll just have to make sure that we do." Kurt said as he pecked Blaine's lips and Blaine kissed back before sitting up.
"Your mother was looking for you before." Kurt said as he sat up too and then took one of the syringes on the bedside table and pushed it into his arm.
"I'll go look for her then. You going to be okay for a while?" Blaine asked.
"I'm sick not dying." Kurt said and then went to the bathroom to take a shower.
"I won't be long." Blaine said as he pulled on a tunic and then walked towards his mothers room.
As he arrived there he knocked on the door and not long after the door opened to show his mother.
"Blaine, I didn't think I'd see you so soon." Catherine said.
"Yeah, Kurt told me you wanted to see me." Blaine said as Catherine let him into the room and gesturing to sit down on the couch.
"We need to talk about the crown." Catherine started.
"You're of age and you know what that means." She continued.
"I have to take over." Blaine said.
"I didn't want to bother you while Kurt was in a coma but the country has been without a king for too long. If it stays like this for long there's going to be an invasion." Catherine said.
"When is the coronation ?" Blaine asked.
"In two days." Catherine said.
"Okay." Blaine said and then asked to be excused.
"How was the talk?" Kurt said as he looked up from the book he was reading.
"Good, it was about the coronation." Blaine said.
"Coronation?" Kurt asked as he stood up looking confused.
"What about your father?" Kurt said walking closer to Blaine.
"My father died in combat when you where in the coma." Blaine said and Kurt stumbled back into the chair shocked and on the verge of crying.
"I have to replace my father." Blaine said as he sat down next to Kurt.
"I understand, but how will we raise him." Kurt said putting his hand on his stomach.
"We'll figure it out." Blaine said kissing him.
"We'll have to figure it out quickly because if you haven't noticed I'm 8 months pregnant, and I've talked to the doctor and he told me that the poison might cause me to go into early labor." Kurt said.
"We don't know how long we have." Kurt said.
"I know, I won't let this get into the way of our little family." Blaine said as he hugged Kurt.
