AN: just because i still kinda of feel that Carter always went above an beyond for John,Fusco, and Finch and i still find it a little strange that Joss can move a dead body for Fusco and break into an FBI lab and get rid of evidence for John... but when it came to clearing Joss's name for a bad shooting none of them could lift a finger to help her get her job back...but i digress.
"I'm super girl and I'm here to save the world…and I wanna know who's gonna save me?..I'm super girl and I'm here to save the world …and I wanna know why I feel so alone"-Krystal Harris
Joss was tired, sore and she had a killer headache. It took her 2 hours to find Detective Stills body and it took her another 2 hours to transport the decaying, rotten and falling apart corpse to another location.
When she left the station she barely made it to her car before she broke down. She didn't know what she was doing anymore, she felt like she was losing herself every day. She didn't know what made her cry more, the fact that she just moved a dead body or the fact that, the one person she thought she could rely on, had basically snapped at her over the phone and left her to clean up by herself.
Until today she hadn't even realized how far off the path she traveled, although she condemned Fusco for being a dirty cop, she was no better. No matter how she tried to justify it to herself, she was still breaking the law, and for what, three men who left her in the dark but expected her to be there when they needed her.
Joss was brought out of her thoughts as she heard Bear whine. She turned to him and scratched behind his ear and told him she was fine. She almost laughed at the look Bear gave her; she couldn't even fool a dog into believing she was okay.
If she was being honest with herself, she was falling apart on the inside. She was waging a private war against herself, she had half a mind to turn her badge in and quit. But a part of her felt that she needed to stay.
What if another night like this happened, who would be there to save them and keep the walls from caving in. Who would be there to make sure the T's were crossed and the I's dotted.
Joss wiped her eyes, she had to needed to stay. They needed her to help keep the world from falling apart, even if her own world was silently crumbling around her.
