Hey guys moonrose221 here. In this chapter you guys meet my OC Cyan Tenshino. And you meet her mom. I have a piece of trivia and a funny little trope I found on the net. Barbra Goodson played the Mystic Mother on Power Rangers Mystic Force. But the Mystic Mother wasn't always good. As Udonna put it, "She was known as Rita in the dark days." Yep Empress of Evil is Queen of good Magic. So what does she say when the villians are storming her castle? "Your giving me a headache!" And for the funny trope. In Power Rangers Dino Thunder when Elsa reveals her identity, she and Tommy are kung-fu fighting on the school lawn. How many kids would go to school just to watch their principal and their science teacher go all Bruce Lee and Jackie Chan on one another? Without further ado enjoy the next chapter.

Chapter 10 Shadow Storm Part 2: Phantom Ranger Appears, Rangers On Eltar?!
Takato groans as he come to. "Ugh my head. Huh where in the world am I? Why am I de-morphed? Shit where the hell is my morpher?!" Another voice is complaining of the same thing, "Dammit my morphers gone. Haven't even had it a full month and it goes M.I.A." Takato looks over and sees a boy who looked like he was fourteen. He was 5 foot 4. He had shoulder length midnight black hair, twin bangs, and hazel eyes. He wore a red shirt, a black leather biker jacket, dark jeans, and black tennis shoes.
"Is that what you look like out of the suit Shadow?" The boy looks over and says, "My name is Geo Matarashi. I suggest you stop asking those sort of questions Red." Sighing Takato replies, "I'm Takato Matsuki. You could explain why you weren't working with us these last couple weeks." Geo sighed, "I was worried. I heard the villians of past rangers liked to control other rangers as well as use the friends and families of the rangers." Takato understood. "I see. You were worried about your family?" Geo shook his head, "My little sister. My parents are often traveling the world due to being archeologists." Smiling in a comforting way Takato replies, "I may not have siblings, but my friends are a lot like my family. If something happened to them I don't know what I'd do."
A male voice said, "I'd worry more about no being able to fight without your rangers powers." The monster looked like a werewolf. Only it was a digimon. "Who the hell are you?" Geo snarls. Takato growls, "Give us back our morphers you walking shag carpet." The werewolf creature chuckles, "Walking shag carpet? Never heard that one before. As for who I am you pathetic humans, I am ShadowWereGarurumon. These morphers will be coming with me." A distinctly female voice states, "Like hell they are Fido!" Both boys look up to see a girl with light blonde hair and warm light teal eyes. She is wearing a mostly black uniform with silver trim. The most noticable thing was on her right wrist was a device that resembled a transmorpher with a silver dial and a red gem in it. "The only ones entitled to those morphers are their rightful owners furball. Now hand them over." Her voice had a commanding tone to it. Needless to say Takato was intrigued. Geo was gobsmacked. "And what are you going to do about it little girl?"
The girl grinned as she she raised the device she wore on her wrist up to her face and shouted, "Phantom Power!"
Morph Sequence:
The girl channled black energy like the Jungle Fury Rangers would bofore leaping from the pillar she was standing on. Landing on her feet a black cybernetic suit materializes on her. A red ruby in the center of her chest. Her black and siver helmet snaps into place.

Takato and Geo were stunned. She was a Ranger? ShadowWereGarurumon was dumbstruck as well, "Who in the name of evil are you?" Underneath her helmet the girl smirked, "Guardian of Eltar. Phantom Ranger!" On her left hip there was a laser pistol. On her right hip was a sword. Geo and Takato were a little on edge. The Phantom Ranger began to fight ShadowWereGarurumon.

"Finally Zordon's Legacy will be completely destroyed!"[ShadowWereGarurumon]
Phantom Ranger draws her weapon.
"It's time to live up to my families history."[Phantom Ranger]
ShadowWereGarurumon charges the Phantom Ranger.
Go go Power Rangers
Phantom Ranger charges and hits ShadowWereGarurumon and hits him not only with her sword but laser pistol in rapid succession.

ShadowWereGarurumon hits the Phantom Ranger with his, "Shadow Wolf Claw."

Phantom Ranger is flung backwards but still gets back up.
Mighty Morphin Power Rangers
In a display of agility which would make the original pink ranger proud, the Phantom Ranger sails over ShadowWereGarurumon and nails him with a bicycle kick.

ShadowWereGarurumon goes in for close quarters combat.

Phantom Ranger matches ShadowWereGarurumon blow for blow.

ShadowWereGarurumon hits her right in the stomach and forces her to her knees.

ShadowWereGarurumon goes in for what he believes is the final blow but is blocked by the Phantom Rangers sword.
In a world ful of strife
The Phantom Ranger performs a sweep kick and flips on to her hands performing a spin and kicking ShadowWereGarurumon away from her.
We must fight to survive
The Phantom Ranger sheathes her sword and charges in true ranger form.
Try to break the chains that divide
ShadowWereGarurumon finds himself hard pressed to keep up with the female ranger.
There is only chance
The Phantom Ranger delivers a flying spin kick to knock the dark werewolf into the air.
To take the right stance
Unsheathing her sword the Phantom Ranger hits ShadowWereGarurumon multiple times in rapid succession with her sword. All while in mid air.
Hold tight, keep our Power alive
Rolling to the balls of her feet. The Phantom Ranger takes her laser pistol from its holster.
Go go Power Rangers
Leaping at ShadowWereGarurumon she Fires a massive barrage of lasers.
Don't you ever stop
The Phantom Ranger holsters her gun and brings her sword back out.
Go go Power Rangers
ShadowWereGarurumon starts to charge at her.
You will rise up to the top
The Phantom Rangers sword start glowing with a black-silver energy as she charges ShadowWereGarurumon.
Rangers forever
"Manga Saber Phantom Wave!" The Phantom Ranger calls.
Dino Charge! All together
The Phantom Ranger slashes her sword through ShadowWereGarurumon.

ShadowWereGarurumon explodes into data particles.

"Power Down."

The girl walks over and picks up Takato and Geo's morphers. Spinning on her heel she walks over and hands the morphers to the boys. "I believe these belong to you." She said. Takato takes his and straps it on to his wrist. Geo does the same. Takato says, "Thank you for getting our morphers back. I'm Takato Matsuki. And this is Geo Matarashi. What's your name?" The girl smiles, "My name is Cyan Tenshino. It was no problem getting your morphers back. What are you two doing on Eltar?" Geo says, "All I remember is getting hit with a laser." Cyan shakes her head. "Well that answers that question. Come with me. If anyone can figure out how to get you both back to earth it would be my parents."
As they are walking Takato realizes something, "Hey Cyan, how did you get your powers?" Geo had told them how he had gotten his(A/N see chapter 8) so the boys were curious how she got hers. "I inherited them on my tweflth birthday. Being the Phantom Ranger is a long family only difference is the Power Ruby isn't connected to my life force like it was for all the other Phantom Rangers. Namely that's because it latches onto the life force of a male. I'm the first female Phantom Ranger in my entire family history." Geo was stunned silent. Takato replies, "Wow, it's really a long standing tradition?"
Cyan smiles, "Yep. Originally my cousin Shouta was going to be the Phantom Ranger. However the Power Ruby rejected him. I was only five at the time. When a new Phantom Ranger is chosen there is a huge celebration. All of Eltar is in attendance. Imagine the surprise of the Eltarian Council of Elders when the Phantom Ranger morpher started to float and flew into my hands. They had always believed that the powers could only be wielded by a male. The reason I was chosen over my cousin was because Shouta had plans to take over Eltar with the Powers. I on the other hand only wanted to be a ranger to protect innocents. So the spirit of the ruby knew what it was doing during the ceremony I guess. I spent seven years away from my parents training with the elders. I wasn't allowed to see my family until the ceremony to offically declare me the new Phantom Ranger."
Geo asked, "What happened to Shouta?" Cyan sighed, "He grew jealous and hateful. Over the seven years I speant training, he trained to forcibly take the Phantom Ranger powers from me. On the day of my ceremony I was dressed in the uniform I'm in right now. As I was being led to where the ceremony would take place Shouta's underlings attacked. They had attempted to slay the elders when I had interceeded. They fled and we were not interupted for the rest of the journey. The ceremony was in full swing when Shouta in black armor appeaered and said, 'Interloper Cyan. As the rightful owner of the Phatom Ranger powers I order you to stand down.' I refused to and he and I engeged in battle. I was apalled to see what happened to my dear cousin. I was forced to kill him. As he was dying he said, 'I give my strength to King Drasil. May he wreak havoc on the earthlings.' After he said that his body disolved into black and blood red energy before flying off."
Takato placed his hand on Cyan's shoulder as he said, "Cyan it isn't your fault. Shouta made his choice and you made yours. You didn't have choice. If you hadn't done what you did millions of innocents would have died because of Shouta."
Cyan looked at the Red Ranger and smiled, "Thanks Takato. I was always blaming myself for what Shouta did. But thinking back on it your right. Millions would have died. So thank you."
The rest of their journey was mostly engaging in war stories. Takato giving them the details of the D-Reapers invasion and giving them some rather interesting images. Cyan was telling them about the battles she had over the two years she had her powers. "So anyways, There was creature who called himself Rotten Stien and boy oh boy did his name ever fit. The guy reaked like month old decaying garbage. His 'power' was to spew out a toxic gas that made someone sick. Gross, but wasn't needed with his bad BO." Geo laughed.
Takato chuckling asked, "How did you beat him?" Laughing Cyan replied, "A fire hose and a truck load of soap. Quite literally I might add." The three rangers were laughing at the image. Geo still laughing said, "Seriously? Man can't say I had any battles quite as funny."
Grinning Cyan replied, "Believe you me, there's some funny comic relief villians. Every nasty villan circle has at least one. Kind of like Rito Revolto. That dude could never do anything right after the Ninjetti powers came into play. He constantly called Zedd 'Ed' and was babbling on with Goldar about the most rediculous things. In fact one year Zedd and Rita tried to take over christmas so they sent Goldar and Rito to the North Pole to do that. But they were defeated by the rangers who couldn't even use their ranger powers at the time. The rangers were flinging snowballs at them. Then some of the elves dropped some marbles on the floor. That is why if you ever fight on a holiday you have a back up measure in case your ranger powers don't work where you need to go."
Arriving at the Tenshino home the three rangers walked in to see a man with the same blonde hair and teal eyes as Cyan. "Takato and Geo, may I introduce my father Cyranos. He was the Phantom Ranger before me. Dad, may I introduce Geo Matarashi and Takato Matsuki. Takato is the current Red Ranger and Geo is the Shadow Ranger of the current team." Cyranos nodded, "It's a pleasure to meet you both. Sweetheart come in here we have earth rangers in the house." An asian woman dressed in a long sleeve pink shirt, blue jeans, Pink shoes, and a white apron walks in. "Hello. It's so nice to finally meet two of the Digital Rangers. I'm Cassie Tenshino formerly known as Cassie Chan. Second Pink Turbo Ranger and the Pink Space Ranger."
Takato and Geo had explained their situation to Cassie and Cyranos. The two veteran rangers were looking over everything they had and discovered that they could be teleported once the found the Fusion Daggers. Problem was there had to be three Rangers. Cyan had been talking to the Eltarian Council of Elders. She had been given the go ahead to go to Earth to fight with the Rangers.
"Mom, dad I'll go with Takato and Geo to retrieve the Daggers. The council gave me an approval to accompany them to earth to help fight Master Vile and Daemon anyhow."
The three Ranger were told to go straight through Celestial Valley and go five miles through the Forest of Ancient Rangers. There they would reach the Temple of Power to find the Daggers. However they had to be willing to go through the three trials with in the temple.
Celestial Valley was easy enough but once they got to the forest, "Are you kidding me?!" Takato screamed. A zombie of a former ranger walked towards them. Cyan the proceeded to slice through the opposition. "Takato in times like these, either get your point across or get brutal." The three rangers fought through the zombie's which Cyan revealed, "Their solid manifistations of spirit energy. So they can't really hurt us. It's a test like the ones at the temple." Geo just looked at her, "Sounds like you've done this before." Cyan shrugged, "It's something every Phantom Ranger learns. Whether we are sent this way or not."
Once they arrived at the Temple of Power Cyan said, "Either of you backing out? If you are, don't try to come back here. This place doesn't give second chances to those who willingly walk off." Takato and Geo look at each other before starting up the steps. Cyan grinned, "Their too much like Andros and Zhane." She said before heading up with the boys.
Inside the Temple was amazing. Geo asked, "What sort of artifacts are kept here anyways Cyan?" Cyan replied, " A wide variety of things actually. What we have been sent to retrieve is the Fusion Daggers. Their powers were what had originally created the Digivices many millenia ago. It's also what was able to allow both Tai Kamiya's WarGreymon and Matt Ishida's MetalGarurumon to DNA digivolve into Omnimon when they first battled Diaboromon." Takato was astounded that she knew all of this. "How do you know that?"
Cyan shrugged, "My grand father created the temple in his youth. In one of his journals he gave a detailed description of what each mystical artifact could do. While I was training to become the Phantom Ranger I witnessed the battle against Diaboromon. The guardian of the Temple informed me of the Daggers reacting to the digimon fighting Diaboromon and granting them their power." The first door was glowing with the symbol for gluttony. Geo sighed "Well it looks like the first test is mine."
He enterd the room and saw what he desired most. It was an illusion of his parents, Vanessa, and Himself along with Dorumon and Lalamon just playing around in their front yard. A voice spoke, "Geo Matarashi. You can have this very image made real if you give up your ranger powers." That made Geo think. Could he do it? Give up helping others for his own happiness. He wanted this but he knew he couldn't. "No deal on that. I may want this bad. But I want to protect others even more than I want my family together." The image faded as a male who had blue-grey hair and was dressed in all grey clothing stepped up, "Hello, I am the human form of Alphamon. Congratulations Shadow Ranger. This the first key to open the door that holds the Fusion Daggers."
The door opens again as Takato and Cyan walk in. The three rangers walk through to the next level. The door lights up with the Digital Hazard symbol. "This test is mine guys." Takato says.
He walks in and sees something he always wished for. His parents and him were in the yard of a really nice house. There outside with them was Guilmon, a dog, and two little kids. A boy and girl. He wanted to be a regular kid with a pet and siblings very bad. A voice then speaks, "Takato Matsuki. All that you see before you can be made real. All you must do is give up your ranger powers." Takato is shocked. While he wanted what he saw he wanted to be a ranger even more. It taught him what it meant to be a true leader and helped him grow as an individual. "Sorry no dice. I'm never giving up my ranger powers. The only thing that would take them from me is if when the final battle happens they are completely drained or the morphers are destroyed ending Master Vile and Daemon." A male with red hair and dressed in red and white clothing appears, "Congratulations Takato. I am the human form of Gallantmon. Geo has the first key and you have the second key. There is still one test left. It will be the toughest yet as this will test the very core of the Phantom Ranger's being."
The door opens as Cyan and Geo walk in. The trio walks up to the third and final door. The Symbol of the Power Rangers glows in black. Cyan steels herself, "Let's get it on."
Cyan enters the room and sees the one thing she only ever wished for. She and her grand father Zordon spending time together. There was something Cyan knew, Zordon had a new body as Bagramon's data had been puified by Animus. A voice spoke, "Cyan Tenshino. This can be made real if that is what you want. All you must do is give up your ranger powers." Cyan smirked, "Why would I give up my powers for something that will happen anyways? Zordon was given a new body and I will be staying with him while on earth. So I have no reason to give up my powers." A young woman in rabbit themed armor and snow white hair appears alongside a bunny with moon markings appeared. "As to be expeted of Zordon's decendant. I am the human form of Dianamon. This is the third key for the part of the temple that holds the Fusion Daggers. Also this is Lunamon. She is your digimon partner." A silver device floated in front of her. It looked like a mix of a microphone and an mp3 player. Cyan took the device as it changed to a black color with silver trim.
The three rangers walked up to a door made of intricate silver. On the middle of the door was a symbol Takato knew. "The crytal matrix." Each ranger looked at the keys in their hands. First Geo placed his key on the bottom left. Then Takato placed his key on the bottom right. Cyan saw there was already a top part but remember the grid was like the center so she placed her key in the center of the symbol. The crystal matrix symbol glowed as the door opened. The guardian of the temple was a woman who looked to be in her late teens early twenties. Cyan bowed, "Lady Dimitria." The woman Dinitria smiled, "Welcome rangers." She stepped forward and produced a box with nine daggers in it. "Nine? Shouldn't there only be eight?" Dimitria smiled, "The final Dagger is Cyan's. Hidden within the digital world is a special Digi-zord her grand father created for her." (A/N The daggers look like the crystal sabers from Wild Force. The crystals are already there inside.) Cyan grinned. "I'll be sure to give him my thanks."
The three Rangers teleported to Earth with the Daggers. All three in civillian form. Henry saw Takato and said, "Thank goodness your okay. Who are your friends?" Once everyone was in the room and were told everything. Justin stared at Cyan in shock. "You're Zordon's grand daughter?!" Laughing Cyan replied, "Yes. The Phantom Ranger the Turbo rangers and Space Rangers fought along side of was my father Cyranos. Now if you don't mind I have to get going."
Cyan boarded a train to Shinonome. Arriving at the station she started to walk around. She bumped into a boy who was wearing a half red half white t-shirt, brown shorts, red and blue wrist bands, dark red shoes, and green goggles. "Ouch! I'm so sorry about that." She said. The boy replied, "It's okay. I wasn't paying attention to anything so no harm done. I'm Mikey Kudo by the way. Who are you?" Cyan smiled, " Hello. My name is Cyan Tenshino. It's nice to meet you Mikey. Maybe you could help me." She pulled out her new black device. Mikey asked, "You have a Fusion Loader?" Cyan blinked, "That's what this is called? A digimon named Dianamon gave it to me along with my partner Lunamon. I'm trying to find the owner of the clock shop where the hunters get these." A group of teenagers show up. "Oi Mikey!" Mikey looks over. "Hey guys. I want you to meet Cyan Tenshino. She's a new hunter. Cyan I want you to meet Ryouma Mogami, Airu Suzaki, Christopher Aonuma, Nene Amano, Ewan Amano, Angie Hinomoto, Jeremy Tsurugi, and Tagiru Akashi. Their my friends and our fellow hunters Cyan." An elderly man walks up to them. Ewan is about to say something when Cyan walks over and hugs him saying, "I've missed you grandpa Zordon."
The hunters were shocked. Ryouma asked with a look of pure disbelief, "Grandpa? He's your grand father?!" Cyan grins at him. "Yep. I live pretty far away and my parents sent me to stay with my grand father for a while. My family moved away from this area long before I was born. So I only ever saw pictures of my Grandpa. Staying with him for a while is a dream come true for me."
Once Cyan is settled in her new room her grand father sits on her bed and asks, "What will you do when the rangers defeat their enemy my dear?" Cyan sighed, "I don't know. I want to stay here with the others. I really like them. Their all very nice and it would be great just to be a regular kid for once. But in my heart I know I'll have to go back to Eltar eventually."
