"Sometimes late at night I lie awake and watch her sleeping and the thought crosses my mind if I never wake up in the morning. Would she ever doubt the way I feel about her in my heart If tomorrow never comes Will she know how much I loved her"-Ronan Keating
John stared at Joss's sleeping form as he lay in bed next to her in the dark as the light of the full moon streamed through his apartment cast a heavenly glow. His eyes drifted to the green light of their alarm clock. It was 11:00PM.
They had officially started seeing each other 3 months ago. They did the things that normal couples did. They went on dates, to the movies, she dragged him shopping with her, they talked all the time about random things and important things, he was evening in the beginning stages of carving out some sort of relationship with her son, but often at times like this he wondered if he was doing enough.
He wondered if she knew that she made his heart flutter, that her smile made him happy, that her voice calmed his soul, that he was trying to be a better man then he was yesterday for her. He had told her that he loved her before but he wondered if she understood that when he said those three words to her that they weren't just words.
John reached out and gently pulled her closer and watched as she wrapped herself around him and snuggled her head and face into the crook of his neck.
John felt his eyelids getting heavy. His eyes slowly drifted over to the clock. It was 11:54PM; it was getting closer to tomorrow.
He gently kissed her forehead as he drifted to sleep and his thoughts wondered if she would have any doubts that he loved her if he didn't wake up in the morning.
