"That's not good." Coulson said.

"Is that what I think it is?" Skye asked, paling a little.

"It certainly looks like it." Simmons said, voice shaking slightly.

"What is it?" Kain asked. When every member of the team got worried it made him nervous. Nothing good ever came of it.

"It looks like a compound we have seen before. It's called Gravitonium. It's almost as rare as the Eridine that makes up the cage." Simmons explained.

"It also happens that the man who has the world's supply of Gravitonium is a lunatic." Fitz added.

"Skye. You ok?" Coulson asked. She had now gone slightly green.

"I'm ok. It's just a shock." She answered.

Coulson eyed her suspiciously, looking for evidence to the contrary.

"First things first. We need to figure out how Gravitonium interacts with Eridine which then causes the hyper excitement of water molecules and how to stop it."

"Then we need to find the next target." May said, also looking at Skye.

"So let's get on it." Skye said, pulling her laptop towards her.

May headed to the workout room with the two interns.

"So what was all that about?" Amber asked, putting boxing gloves on her hands.

"We have encountered Gravitonium before. It has the ability to alter the gravitational pull of an object." May explained.

"So why was Skye scared." Kain asked. He had seen the funny colour Skye had turned.

"The man who has it shot her. Twice."

"So we know the chemical composition of Gravitonium, do we know the chemical composition of Eridine?" Simmons asked. The two scientists were a little stuck on where to start.

"We haven't had a chance to test it."

"Let's start there." Simmons suggested getting the cage out of its box.

They used the dwarves to assess the chemical composition of the cage. While Fitz was flying the dwarves, Simmons was pinning up blank paper to the Lab wall so they could jot down ideas. Skye was pulling up the information they had collected on the Gravitonium. She showed the data to Simmons who wrote it on the wall. When Fitz and the dwarves had analysed the cage Simmons added the chemical composition of Eridine to the wall.

The three of them looked at the wall.

"Aaand I think I'm going to go back to my laptop!" Skye said, knowing as a high school dropout she would get lost faster than she had lost new hairbrush (which she had lost within ten minutes of buying!). She turned to look into the video footage again.

"Coulson. To what do I owe this pleasure?" Fury asked over the video conference.

"This mission, Sir. It's got a little more complicated. I have had to kick Ward off the 'bus already, now I may have to do the same to Skye."

"Why have you kicked Ward off the 'bus?"

"His knee was reacting to the compound that is responsible and was threatening to cause significant damage."

"And the girl. Why do you have to get rid of her?"

"It may be the case that Ian Quinn is behind this attack. We have found evidence there may be Gravitonium in play somehow. He was the last one known to have possession of the stuff, Sir."

"And this is a problem because?"

"He was the one who shot Skye, Sir."

"If you catch up to him and he is behind this do me one favour?"

"What would you like me to do, Sir."

"Strike him off."

"With pleasure, Sir."

"We've got it. We've actually got it." Simmons exclaimed happily.

Skye looked up from her laptop. The wall was covered in arrows, diagrams, words and symbols she didn't understand. She tapped on the partitioning glass between the Lab and the workout room. May and the interns came through the door. Both interns had bright red patches randomly positioned on their bodies. They would develop into some nice looking bruises.

"What's up?" May asked.

"Fitz-Simmons got something!" Skye said.

May looked from Simmons excited face to Fitz who was finishing off the formula he was writing.

"Right. If we..."

"Wait one second. We need to let Coulson know you have something." May interrupted.

She left the room and returned five minutes later with Coulson hot on her heels.

"Everyone here?" Simmons asked.

"Yeah, go for it."

"We have figured out that the Gravitonium makes a minute change to the elemental composition or the Eridine, which then triggers the Eridine to heat and cause a wave of energy that excites the water molecules." Simmons said, very excited. She had never seen anything like this before.

"The reason we didn't find any Gravitonium is that it is absorbed into the Eridine, which causes a delayed reaction, which is how the person that planted the device got out of there."

"Great. We know how it all works. Now how the hell do we stop it?"
