I hope you enjoy this one i had fun writing it, although i have been told i write Hibari a bit OOC i will try to fix that as i go along. But honestly im a big 1896 shipper and its difficult for me to not at least try to progress a ship i like in a story i write. Like it will never be official but itd be cool if they were friends

I do not own Katekyo Hitman Reborn

While Mukuro had human drones to let him access information about his town, Hibari had Hibirds. They were small, fast and loyal and were able to get the point quickly. Hibari's birds came in for daily reports and at least one was always tracking an exuberant character that associated themselves with the mafia. If anything strange was happening to them Hibari Kyoya would hear it within minutes; he had even heard the Varia were in town through his little yellow companions.

Hibari had been lying on the couch of his office when he heard familiar chirping coming close to his location. He saw a Hibird fly through the open window and he watched it make violent figure-eights and 360 spins above his position. The bird was chirping wildly, meaning it could not speak its information properly. Deciding to sit up, Hibari called the little avian creature to his finger where it snuggled up against his hand.

"What have you found, little one?" His voice, still sharp, was toned softer towards his fluffy friend.

"Chrome! Chrome! Chrome!" The bird chirped like a song and Hibari merely propped his elbow on one of the side arms of the couch looking uninterested at the feathered creature's excitement.

"What about that small animal?" Chrome probably started feeding his birds treats again, he didn't mind much but it made some of the birds who were not used to her come in to report it as strange behaviour.

"Kokuyo! Kokuyo!" Was Chrome going to Kokuyo? Did Mukuro suddenly summon her so late in the night? Somehow that made Hibari shudder and he tried not to think about the special relationship the small animal had with the heterochromatic illusionist.

"Varia! Vari-CHEEEEP!" That word made Hibari stand up so abruptly Hibird had to fly off his hand.

The Varia? What business does that girl have with the Varia? And Mukuro?

Hibari thought of all the situations where the Varia, the Kokuyo gang, and Chrome had to be in the same place at once and acknowledge each other's existence. All of which would probably led to property decimation. While Hibari hated crowds as a way of life, he tolerated Chrome's presence to a certain degree. She was well mannered, quiet and had no qualms against his violent nature.

After his first real encounter with her, he was surprised she had begun to open up to him. Not in the way that made people spill their problems to another like whining toddlers but in the way that she expressed more of her emotions. Quietly and carefully she did so, but much more expressively than Hibari had ever known someone to do, especially towards him.

He really did not appreciate the attention but he couldn't quite hate the kindness either. Chrome had stopped looking so fidgety around him and she could speak normally with him as well – No stutters or murmurs, just her regular voice.

She had also become quite helpful. She did not give him anymore illusion-filled naps, because god knows that will surely be her final act. But she could easily handle paperwork and complaints, Chrome's excellent observation skills and unassuming appearance had even made her a perfect spy. She gathered information, organized it all, and helped hide any evidence that she, or Hibari, had any sort of intelligence at all. While Chrome did not do this often, it made Hibari see her in a different light.

A dangerous light.

How Chrome got information so easily was still under investigation. How she hides it… well, there would be an investigation of Chrome didn't hide things so well. Chrome was quite terrifying with her unassuming powers. She was the opposite of every herbivore by Sawada's side. They were widely known; they shone with strength and resolution. But Chrome, she was barely noticeable around such radiant people; even he would have a hard time picking her out from an average person. She was like a ghost: invisible, unnoticeable, and quite disturbing if Hibari was bothered by such precarious things.

He was not, of course. The prefect loved danger, and he craved challenges. He noticed Chrome's danger not only lied in her information gathering or illusions but something else, something in her kindness. She was generous, caring, empathetic, shy, and had a need to be a part of a crowd. While he had no patience for the latter point, her other qualities made her curiously like Sawada Tsunayoshi, except while the small herbivore's traits made him like a reluctant hero, Chrome was more like a soldier, more obedient than Sawada, quiet, and honest. She had too much heart to lie, but no qualms in any other action.

These traits were also what made Chrome a puzzle. She had every trait to be a part of Sawada's pack, but she also had the qualifications to be one of Mukuro's minions. Shy and frail as she looked, it only added to the hidden danger she had presented. The danger only inherited by Mist users.

Hibari Kyoya hated Mist users; he hated them to the core of any of his rages. If he was truly angry, it was probably an illusionist's fault. But no matter how much Hibari hated Chrome's abilities, her powers, her damned illusions. He could not bring himself to hate her as an entire person. The skylark didn't like her of course; those types of relationships were useless and held no gain. However, Hibari could say he respected her to a degree, similar to that of Yamamoto Takeshi or probably the small animal she calls a Boss. And maybe, he held just a little appreciation for what she had done.

The prefect looked back at his Hibird, still chirping madly "Chrome! Mukuro! Varia! Squalo! Baby! Kakipi!" as it flew in frantic circles in his office. The bird seemed worried.

must've been one of the birds Chrome had fed. Hibari thought to himself as he stood up.

Normally, Hibari would have just left this to the actions and consequences of the people creating them, but all this contemplation of Chrome had gotten him curious.

If she is with the Varia and the Kokuyo gang there is 1000% chance they are fighting. I have never seen the herbivore fight; it would do well on the investigation on her to collect such information. Not to mention some annoying people are already there, biting them to death would be refreshing. And tomorrow the girl has school; if she misses a day in my middle school because of this it would be unforgivable. She's a student of Namimori now; going to other districts would be disturbing the peace. All of these people fighting would be disturbing the peace…

Continuous thoughts flurried through the prefects mind as he walked out the school doors. He was determined to bring discipline onto the disturbers of the peace.

Chrome could say she had been in a lot of difficult situations. Lambo and I-Pin's shenanigans had surely made her quite adept in locating the two in dangerous and crowded areas as well as getting them out. Gokudera Hayato's short temper and infinite supply of bombs had made her reflexes quicker and reaction time sharper. Even the hit man and home tutor Reborn had taken the time to train her in the subtle art of strategizing, since she had no gumption for head-on brawling like some of the other guardians.

Some of these skills had even made a small name for her in the under-workings of Namimori. Gangs that openly abused the weak have certainly paled when some sort of wraith had cut off all of their back-ups and help-lines leaving only their resolve to be corrupted by a small girl with an eye patch.

The fact that Chrome's illusions tear apart people's minds so intensely that her victims do not remember her face, was the sole reason her actions have not been alerting the main mafia-ring. Illegal and morbid her affairs were, the crimes committed by Chrome's victims were almost ten times as worse. However, Chrome will not deny that she had caused much greater and crueler pain to people than her victims would ever hope to accomplish.

However, Chrome's only difference between a cold-blooded mafioso and herself was the sorrow she had felt for the lives that had been unintentionally or even intentionally ruined because of her. Mental torture is not something she enjoyed doing to others, it made her see the slow transition from a strong man to a puppet of a man who has no strength to sit up; a man with no more resolve to even attempt to do so.

However, Chrome had felt no regrets for her actions. She knew all her decisions and fighting and corrupting will end up protecting the only thing she has ever truly treasured in her life. Her friends.

All of those people who had taken the time to know her. Not just the Vongola familiga but Kyoko, Haru, I-Pin, Fuuta, The Shimon, even the Tomaso familiga. So many people who had become immense pieces to her heart, Chrome had decided long ago she was going to protect them with her dying will.

This as well included to now. As needle and knives made contact, as swords and claws fought for an opening, as microwave radiation melted the floors, and as illusions – so many illusions – grew from any crevice or open space in the area.

The carnage blew up the second Chrome decided to help Mukuro and everyone escape from Mammon's intense illusion. She really didn't mean to start a battle; she just wanted everyone to be safe and calm. Although, considering the people she had affiliated herself with, safety and calm had never been an option to begin with.

She realized this much clearer when she had to make an illusionary dummy to take the impact of Belphegor's knives and Squalo's hostage attempt. Chrome was even a little dumbstruck at how quickly each group had assembled to begin their volatile battle; the girl didn't think she could keep up. But there she was, not necessarily in combat but her illusions were spread around like wheat in the prairies. Chrome didn't really want to hurt anyone so she only used her illusions to keep the Varia from making any spectacular moves that could seriously harm her friends and she also kept her flames around everyone in the room to at least sedate most of their violent tendencies. She hoped they could at least tire each other out before causing a severe injury.

"VOI! WOMAN WHY DON'T YOU ACTUALLY FIGHT INSTEAD OF STANDING THERE LIKE A FUCKING WEED!" Squalo's scream snapped Chrome's attention to him. He was standing on some sort of iceberg that seemed to almost have frozen him. Despite the atmosphere of a guerrilla fight going on Chrome could only look at him curiously. Ever since the beginning of the battle it seemed the white-haired man had only been aiming for Chrome. Of course, the Kokuyo gang had realized this and had thoroughly separated the two from any kind of proximity.

"Why don't you worry about your own situation? Byon!" Ken mocked the swordsman as he was swatting off multiple Mammons that were blocking his eyesight.

"Oi! Ken! Rollover out of there or be roasted by my vibrato!" M.M had situated herself right behind Ken hoping to pop the eyes out of the Varia second-in-command while he was still immobile due to Mukuro and Fran's illusion. As M.M was about to take a breath into her clarinet, irregular knives slashed the air between her and her instrument.

"HEY!"

"Shishi~ Why don't you play an actual song with that thing if you really have talent, shrew." Belphegor chuckled as he was spiralling more of his Storm Flames into his next throw. He had however ceased his step as Chikusa began to barrage the blonde with yo-yos and poison needles. The smiling teenager had easily blocked them and was ready to pierce holes into the bespectacled mans' chest.

"If you can't sew, don't use needles!" knives were headed straight for the lanky teen at an unreal speed. Chikusa was saved only by an illusionary wall that had quickly appeared as a shield. The wall slowly distorted to reveal Rokudo Mukuro and Flan stepping in between the two teenagers.

"What stupid-looking utensils, I mean they look like overpriced butter knives." Fran's blunt statement instigated more of the "butter knives" to pierce his apple hat. "Look, they can't even pierce the whole way! They belong at a breakfast table."

"Shut up you Fruit Loop!" Belphegor's only responses to Fran's words were several knives aimed to his face. Unfortunately, the giant apple on the boy's head only made his knives miss a couple centimetres from his forehead.

"Nevermind him Bel, just get Squalo out of that illusion." Mammon scolded coolly as he was taking aim at Mukuro and Fran.

"Don't tell me what to do baby~!" The blonde teen's knives flew from his hand to the illusionary ice that had climbed up to Squalo's knees. The disintegration property of Belphegor's Storm flame had easily carved through the weak flickers of the Mist flames.

"TOOK YOU LONG ENOUGH YOU BRAT!" Squalo screamed as he kicked his foot free from the ice. The white haired man jumped from the illusion and glided toward the direction of Chrome Dokuro – but not before using Ken's face as a platform to extend his jump. He landed in front of the 14-year old girl who was standing calmly on the stage of the room. She was looking at Squalo with a surprised and slightly impressed eye, yet it held no intention of fighting. It was annoying but only made her more interesting.

He heard the cries of her fellow Kokuyo gang telling her to start to do something and the swordsman actually wondered if she was listening to them at all. But she remained passive and Squalo took this moment to swipe his sword towards her and graze her cheek. Maybe he could get her to fight through fear or surprise.

As he slashed his sword towards the eye-patched girl's face she took a step back. This only allowed Squalo to lunge forward to stab her good eye, but before the tip of the sword could even brush Chrome's eyelash, a great force swept Squalo away from the girl.

A chain had pushed Squalo's sword from its side, propelling the weapon and weapon wielder to the floor of the stage. The perpetrator of the action was obvious, only one man used chains in Namimori and it sure as hell was not the Vindice.

Hibari Kyoya stood at the entrance door to the room retracting the chains that came from his infamous tonfas. Everyone looked confused and irritated at the new arrival; the sudden action had ceased their own movements and everyone had suddenly become tired. It was late at night and the Varia and Kokuyo members had been fighting for a good 3-4 hours in an endless stalemate.

"Herbivore." The word Hibari calls almost everyone rang inside the room.

"Yes." Chrome answered. Everyone in the room was now sleepily wondering how Chrome knew Hibari had called her. Even Squalo had lost the will to scream when the adrenaline had been rushed out of him with one swift hit.

"You have school tomorrow. If you are absent I will bite you to death." Hibari's statement held many questionable notions that people would have inquired on if they were not so tired. Chrome responded to this by looking to Hibari curiously for one second, then hopping off the stage to follow where he was.

It was quite odd, no one objected to the idea of Chrome so trustingly and fearlessly going towards the prefect nor did anyone react to her as she was walking past them. However, it then dawned to the sleepy minds of the Kokuyo and Varia what was happening. The rush of serenity and peace had washed through their senses and they knew only one person had that sort of effect.

"OI! WOMAN WHAR THE HELL DI' YOU DO! BYaaaawww…!" Ken yawned and growled as he groggily stepped towards the petite female.

Chrome stopped mid-step and turned towards him in an almost apologetic manner. "Sorry…" she began shyly "I didn't expect the effects to be so delayed… or… strong…" The calmness and sincerity in her voice was shocking, especially when she had admitted her action.

"What…did you…do…exactly…" Mammon had tried to keep himself awake but his infant form was a troublesome one in such situations.

"It was a small sedation that I used to keep your movements from becoming too…violent." Chrome answered, slowly stepping back from the intense killing intent coming from the tired people.

"And why my dear Na-Chrome, would you do that?" Mukuro almost slipped out Chrome's name, it would not do well if so many people found out her actual identity.

"I… just did not want to see anyone get hurt-"

"ARE YOU UNDERESTIMATING US BYON!" Ken's roar was full of life and vigor that Chrome took a full step back as if to distance herself from a lion inside a cage.

"N-n-no I ju-just…" It was so difficult to put into words. Chrome knew very well they were strong, stronger than her and most of the mafia in general. She was also sure she did not put the sedation up for a god-like control over the battle. She was in real trouble if she did not answer them properly.

Hibari on the other hand was quite confused at the suddenly drowsy states of all his opponents. He just saw Superbi Squalo try to lunge at Dokuro's head and now he could barely stand up anymore. Apparently it was Chrome Dokuro's fault and he cursed at the loss of opportunity to see what she had done. Although, it seemed like no one saw what she had done in the first place, like she fought without fighting. Interesting.

"You are all disturbing the peace." The prefect stated with hint of amusement marked in his voice.

"SHUT UP BIRD!.. YOU'RE NOT EVEN A PART OF THIS! BYON!" Ken was desperately trying hard to stay awake, howling his sentences like a wolf in moonlight.

"How… did you… even find us… shi…shi~?" Belphegor asked, being forced to be lazy was a new feeling for him, he had never tried to stay awake before.

Then, as if on cue, a Hibird flew into the room and landed in Chrome's tuft of hair. It preened and chirped "Treats! Chrome! Food!"

"Kufufu… So you bugged my little Nagi did you skylark." Mukuro now didn't care he was saying Chrome's name, the Varia probably knew it, and it's not like its useful information to Hibari Kyoya. The illusionist was angry, bugging Chrome was like bugging himself for God's sakes!

"Hn." was Hibari's only response. He was about to step forward to start a fight but the Kokuyo gang and Varia could only stare at him blankly. Chrome had already taken care of them and fighting them now would be unamusing. The prefect looked to Chrome who was giving worried glances toward the people in front of her. He had caught her eye and she turned toward him.

"Hibari-san, I will be on time to school tomorrow and I will deal with all the complaints coming forward about the illicit situations around Namimori. But I would like to stay and clear things up."

Hibari was almost surprised with her fearless attitude. She was even sly enough to offer her services for his assurance just so she could face the bloodthirsty victims of her flames

Hibari gave the petite girl one last glare before walking out to the hall, his Hibird following his master.

Chrome then turned towards her drowsy audience. Most of them were fighting the urge to pass out, while only Fran was the one to fully sleep. The pineapple-haired girl sighed nervously, she saw the vengeful looks on everyone and she was feeling quite guilty for her actions. She only wanted to keep them calm.

With one step forward, Chrome summoned her spear. She held it with one hand and then tapped the bottom of it on the room floor. A dispersion of Mist flames burst from that point and phased through the people in the room. Chrome watched as all of them regained their strength and finally had the momentum to stand up. Their faces turned from vengeful, to confused, to relieved, to disbelieving in one swift moment. Chrome felt relaxed seeing them look like normal but was too quick to let her guard down.

A quick shove to the wall was all they needed to subdue her. Belphegor had already tied her hands in wires while Squalo had his spatha pinned to her forehead; blood dripped from the point and ran down Chrome's nose.

Chrome was terrified as she stared into their eyes. But while Chrome could feel terror from the pain she knew this was to be expected, she acted out of line and this was the consequence. Chrome looked around with her eye being the only thing moving while in her position. The Varia and the Kokuyo were surrounding her with incredulous looks. Even Rokudo Mukuro was looking at her with a vague suspicion.

"Well Chrome, care to explain." Mammon had suddenly floated on eye level near Chrome's face. She blinked at the nearness but that pause only allowed Squalo to slowly dig his sword into her flesh. Chrome winced and then decided to give them an answer. Mentally sighing, knowing she'll blush about this for weeks if they actually let her live, she made sure she looked them straight in the eye.

"I wanted all of you to be safe." The wires tightened as she said this but she decided to continue without missing a beat.

"Even the Varia, I wanted all of you to be safe. Not because I do not think you are all strong, I know for a fact you are stronger than me. It is just that no one here needs to get hurt, it's not necessary, it is not –"

"Why the hell would you know what's necessary for us!" Squalo's voice came as a hiss as he looked angrier through each word.

A pause came as Chrome contemplated.

"I… do not" Chrome's eye became guilty as she answered the long haired man's question. If not for the sword Chrome would have surely looked down in shame.

"Then do not fucking say you think it's NECESSARY, when you don't even know!" Squalo's voice began to break back into its usual volume.

"But… it was necessary."

"FOR FUCKING WHO?"

"For me."

There was another silence as Chrome's words echoed on the aged walls of the Theatre room. Squalo had practically stuck half his sword through what was supposed to be Chrome Dokuro's skull but it was absorbed by a Mist curtain similar to the one the illusionist used to save that civilian earlier that night. Everyone knew what to ask next but no one knew what type of answer Chrome would give. This was the first actual declaration that the small girl had the ability to do something for herself.

"And why is it necessary for you, Chrome?" Mukuro decided to step up, he half knew her answer but was also quite curious himself.

Chrome looked to everyone; she wondered briefly why they all looked so intrigued to hear her answer. It shouldn't be too hard to guess. She then took a breath and she made sure her voice was absolutely clear.

"Because it is my dying will to protect my allies." Her gaze was honest, no qualms, no regrets, no fear. If people believed hard enough her eye could have been mistaken for a glare. But glaring at what? The people she just said were her allies? Glaring at the doubts people had at her character?

Wouldn't that make sense?

But this girl did not make sense. This girl was powerful, deceiving, intelligent, and worst of all, kind. She did not belong in the mafia world but she really did. Superbi Squalo had to blink once as he pulled out his spatha from Chrome's Mist curtain. He looked her over and just sighed.

"Well if that's all, why didn't you fucking say so?" Squalo decided then and there to leave the Chrome Dokuro mystery for a rainy day. He knew if he even attempted to pursue this mystery head-on it would just end up in more awkward situations. The best way to face these situations was to just let them display themselves as they progress, and the way Chrome progressed Squalo was sure he would get information soon. Belphegor and Mammon seemed to have made the same conclusion and just moved away from Chrome as well.

As Squalo looked at the Kokuyo gang he found that they all looked…sheepish. Only Mukuro seemed calm and smug, damned bastard. Then, just at the name Mukuro had hit him, Squalo remembered something important.

He raised his sword once more but to the direction of Mukuro Rokudo instead. "Voi! You still have information we need, trash."

Mukuro raised an eye brow at the Varia Rain Guardian's colourful wording. Honestly, after a 4 hour battle and a forced sleeping spell Mukuro had forgotten about the reason behind the brawl in the first place. The blue-haired man had to applaud Squalo for his memory; the Varia weren't the best for nothing.

"Oh, that." Mukuro stated quite nonchalantly.

"Yes. THAT~ Shi shi." Belphegor buzzed as he turned his head to a much less confusing illusionist. He swore if he even looked at Chrome again he just might vomit from her sincerity.

"Well, if I don't tell you we would probably have to fight again and we'd end with Chrome sedating us again probably."Mukuro glanced at Chrome as she blushed to hide her embarrassment. He inwardly smiled and then continued "I suppose I have no choice but to give you what I know."

"Finally." Mammon was sitting on Belphegor's shoulder, relieved for the final answer he would receive.

"But honestly, I do not know that much myself."

"What." Mammon jolted up.

"When we went to Russia we found a gang that had been interrupting some of my own pawns' work. When we found them I had done an interrogation of them and only found they were just a normal street gang. The only form of interesting information was that the Noviello Famliga is involved and they are sending large metal parts into Italy. I still have no idea what those parts do or why such a huge familiga are using such small workers." Mukuro finished leaving no spaces for interruptions. He eyed the Varia as they were contemplating.

"The Noviello Familiga?" Squalo inquired to himself.

"Aren't they just an army famliliga?" Belphegor stated. "They are only used for blatant attacks on other districts don't they? They don't make weapons."

"Do they make drugs?" A chill climbed everyone's spine as the sharp voice of Hibari Kyoya pierced through their ears.

"Drugs? The Noviello doesn-"

"Actually, they have been creating factories for unknown reasons on the outskirts of Florence." Mammon interrupted Squalo as he was also thinking out loud.

"How do you know about this skylark?" Mukuro asked with a cautious glance.

"Some vermin were selling some sort of drug on my school, when I finally got them pinned down Noviello was stitched to their shirts." Hibari answered bluntly, never looking Mukuro in the eye but instead found something interesting on some wall.

"Here in Namimori? No wonder Verde was here, the Noviello's are here too." Mammon exclaimed, ecstatic that he finally has an answer. "Hibari Kyoya, do you know where they are?"

"No."

"What?"

"I only find them when they enter my school so I can beat them to a bloody lump." Hibari explained dully, still looking at the wall.

"Then you have no idea where they are?" Mammon inquired hoping to get at least a hint to their location. The Noviello may have been known for their brute force but their ability to hide their locations in any area made their battle plans flawless. Mukuro finding that gang in Russia was probably due to Mukuro's overwhelming control on his pawns.

The teen paused as he was eyeing the baby. "No."

"You're lying." Mammon interjected the second Hibari pronounced the first sound. He thought to threaten Hibari, make him talk. Illusions were beginning to swirl in the room once more.

"Take a step back, herbivore." Mammon stopped as he heard the prefects voice, he then saw Chrome take an anxious step backwards, eyeing Hibari Kyoya with worry. Mammon would have just taken it as a normal action from the girl until she pursed her lips and tried to remove eye contact from anybody. Mammon also noted that Hibari stiffened and glared at this action, like he was silently telling her to shut up.

"Do you know something, Chrome?" The baby illusionist knew he got something when she stiffened and attempted to move back, unfortunately Squalo and that glasses-wearing teen; Kakimoto Chikusa had already blocked her pathway.

Chrome looked around her only to see she was surrounded by killing intent once again, they were not seething like before but they seemed suspicious. She knew Hibari would get her for this but she was already caught and she knew she couldn't lie to save her life.

"I may know where they are." Chrome tested as both the Varia and Kokuyo gang listened intently. She found it a bit funny seeing as they fought each other just a few moments ago, for four hours and twenty-four minutes if she recalled.

"Anything else, Chrome?" Mukuro seemed to have caught her withholding her information and quickly dove forward to get her to say everything. He was not used to having such little material on bloody affairs; he had to wonder how Chrome ever got it. The purple-haired girl took one glance at Hibari's face before deciding to continue.

"I may know what type of drug they are selling…" She paused for a moment then hesitantly, she said "And…what their…purpose…is…" Chrome could feel the Hibari's anger vibrating from, the only reason he had not already incapacitated Chrome Dokuro was because Mammon and Mukuro had jointly subdued him from moving any further.

"I see." Mammon said as he glided onto Chrome's head. While she was quite annoying in battle, she held some pretty decent information, more than decent really. Her purpose for life was expected and he was surprised to see she wasn't all talk when referring to her dying will; she acted upon it as well.

"Do you update Hibari Kyoya on all of these affairs?" Mammon inquired calmly, trying to get Chrome to calm down as well.

Chrome glanced up and took relief from the change in tension. "Only when it involves things affecting the school district." She seemed to have piqued interest from Hibari as he now looked at her with a more incredulous expression rather than one of rage.

"So you know more?" Chikusa interrupted from behind her, curious like the rest he actually wanted to end this conversation quickly, Fran was still asleep and he knew if they didn't put him on a bed he would conjure some dream illusions from his uncomfortable rest.

"Yes." Chrome actually knew quite a few things really. The gangs around Namimori knew a lot more then they let on with their power-hungry attitudes. And Chrome found that illusions did not need to be so torturous to obtain that information.

"Do you report these to anybody?" Squalo, a man who was easily one of the most loyal followers to Xanxus – besides Levi who was just a zealous hound – was a little curious as to how Chrome could have such information with no one from the mafia being informed about it.

Chrome then looked up at Squalo almost questioningly until she safely said "Reborn."

"Wait! Does that bastard already know about this!" Mammon interjected angrily. If Reborn already knew about this then why did he send the Varia to do something he could do? Making Mammon spend time in a place not worth the blood on his boots, the former Sun Arcobaleno was going to pay.

"N-no, I-uh give him monthly reports every so often. I haven't given him this month's report yet so I don't think he knows that what is happening here is related to your mission." Chrome was surprised at the sudden outburst she heard from baby and attempted to explain things more clearly.

"Does the Arcobaleno make you do this?" Mukuro asked, seeing that another person was using Chrome again was starting to piss him off. Maybe he should keep closer eyes on his dear Chrome this time around.

"No." she responded effortlessly, making some of the people watching quirk an eye brow, "He asks me sometimes, but it is purely my choice." She stated finally. It was a suspicious statement knowing how Reborn was but most of them did know that the fedora-wearing toddler would never abuse someone with a personality like Chrome's. And with her confident statement, it was obvious she was not forced into it.

This new information began to give everyone headaches again. Chrome's talent and personality clashed so badly with each other it seemed to physically hurt but at the same time, it was like a phenomenon. It was mesmerizing to see her be things she couldn't possibly be and still be as peaceful as a meadow.

It was 3:00AM , or maybe four… the lateness of the night had gotten everyone to lose track of their mental clocks. There were so many things to ask Chrome – like how she had gotten all this information. What does she know? Why does the main mafia-ring not know? Everyone knew they needed to ask but they just did not feel like it.

"Oi." Mammon finally said. "Chrome, tomorrow you are going to give us any piece of information you have, okay." It was not a question or a request, Mammon would not take no for an answer.

"That goes for me as well, Chrome." Mukuro added making sure to add a disappointed edge to his voice so he could be assured she would tell him everything. The look of guilt from her eye told him that she would and he mentally smirked.

"Herbivore." Hibari finally interjected. He was quite angry that she told so much of his information to these people but that was overruled by the new curiosity he had about Chrome's actual knowledge. He knew she had information gathering skills, but he did not know they extended to her actually collecting more than just his data.

Chrome took a final look at everyone's faces; she had no excuse to say no. She wouldn't know why she would say no either. If she helped them they would all just be accomplishing their missions and satisfying any sort of curiosity they had. Keeping secrets are not really in Chrome's nature, not purposefully anyway. Besides, it may have not looked like it but Chrome was extremely tired as well. Just today she had dispersed Mammon's illusions, protected Hiroshi from the Varia, she had temporarily sedated incredibly powerful people and snapped them out of it moments later. She was used to the occasional Mist curtain for defense, but she really had no energy left.

"Alright." She said finally. Tension finally washed off of the backs of everyone in the room. Being assured answers was extremely satisfying after such a hectic day. No one won and no one lost, it was not anybody's style at all.

"Alright then, meet us at the hotel by that convenience store we met at earlier today. 9:00AM. Skip school. If you do not come we will hunt you down." Mammon was not just referring to Chrome but he also sent warning to Hibari as well.

"Sounds great. We will meet you there as well, my dear Chrome." Mukuro added, making sure the Varia knew he was joining them. He was settling back, his posture returning to a relaxed and confident state. He even signaled Chikusa to carry Fran back into his bed to rest.

"Shi shi shi~ If you're late, the prince will give you one cut for every wasted second." Belphegor wasn't very comfortable around Chrome, but she did make for an interesting human being. She didn't really disgust him, he just didn't understand her. And really, what kind of genius would he be if he didn't try to at least understand things he doesn't know about.

"Then it's settled. Don't any of you fuckers be late!" Squalo finished the conversation as he strode through the doors, Bel and Mammon behind him.

"Get out too you ugly bitch!" M.M spat as she strutted past Chrome so she could return to her room.

"Yeah! We have to see you tomorrow anyway. Byon." Ken leapt from his position to go back to his favourite spot on the floor.

Chrome turned to Mukuro who was looking at her with amusement. "Goodbye Mukuro-sama." She bowed with a tired smile.

"Arrivederci Chrome. Please remember I would like to know everything by tomorrow." seriousness took over his expression and Chrome could only nod.

"Let's go, herbivore" Hibari called out and Chrome immediately followed, turning away from her former master and letting Hibari take lead. Once they reached the outside of the Kokuyo Health Land building, Hibari broke the silence.

"You haven't told me things, Dokuro." The prefect was finally showing an irritated expression toward Chrome. "Do you not trust me?" Of course it would be reasonable to say she didn't but hearing a verbal answer would let him know where he stood on Chrome's list of allies and whether he could use that to his advantage.

She was surprised to hear the man ask this as she jerked her head up. "Of course not –" Hibari frowned, "–You just…didn't ask." Chrome looked forward a little blankly; not letting Hibari read her thoughts

Chrome's logic was irritating.

But now, Hibari knew what type of person she was.

It was really long but i hoped you liked it. I might post an extra next, something funny maybe.
