The two woman's laugher echo's around the room. After the passionate love making, Elenya and Bellona moved to the kitchen, Bellona turned to make supper, after 30 minutes in the kitchen they both sat down for supper.

"Mm-m, Rose this is excellent! Where did you learn to cook? You have a talent for it."

"Believe me or not, but I learned it by myself."

"You know, you should open a restaurant here, Omega might be a shit hole, but if you talk with Aria she can make sure you're protected. But…I'm sure, you don't need much protection do you?"

Bellona laughed. "Ha! No thanks. So tell me about yourself?"

Elenya smiled as she took a sip of her wine her eyes sparkling. "About me? I was born here on Omega. My father was a big businessman; my mother is a commando captain on Thesia."

"Now I see where you got this accent of yours."

"Mm…We lived on Thesia for 20 years. After my father died, when he was 40, we moved to Citadel, lived there for 75 years. As soon as I turned 110, I ran away and came here, to start new life. So here I am." She winked at Bellona and crossed her legs.

"Why did you run away?"

"There...were problems after my father died between me and my mother. I wanted to be more independent on her, just wanted a new life. My mother was not angry, more like disappointed probably. She said that she understands. When she was my age she also rebelled in front of her family. She's still helping me, sometimes she writes to me when she is not busy with missions. Tell me Rose, why did you come here?"

Bellona, smiled at her, she hated lying to her, since she feels like something is going to happen between them. Something good. She likes Eleyna, she was her type, bossy, knows what she want in life, sweet, and independent. She could feel the pull inside of her, which is pulling her towards this lovely goddess that is sitting in her kitchen, and drinking her wine.

Bellona looked deep inside her red wine glass. "I'm here searching."

Elenya looked at the woman who looked so sad and melancholy in front of her, she felt her heart ache for her. "What are you searching?"

Bellona gaze looked with Elenya's as she whispered. "I think I already found what I was searching for."

Elenya laid her hand on top of Bellona's who in turn squeezed it in her own.

They talked, laughed, joked, flirted and kissed. Bellona was happy, sure there was a suicide mission she needs to go to, but for a moment she didn't care. Sure Miranda might look for her, but she didn't care, and the time will come when they would talk. Right now what she wanted was to feel the warm that was spreading in her heart. A heart that beats faster each time she kissed Elenya. Maybe when this is all over, when she will come back from the suicide mission, they will talk, and then she will tell Elenya everything. For now, she will have to lie; she just hoped that Elenya will forgive her in time.

They toasted for new beginning and new life and new friendship. Bellona told her what she could without much of lying. While Elenya told her about Thesia.

But too soon, their date was interrupted by a beeping from Bellona's Omni-tool. Bellona sighed as she read the message from Miranda asking her to return back to the ship.

"Do you have to go?" Elenya squeezed her hand gently.

Bellona turned towards her bedroom to get her bag with her stuff in it, before turning around towards her new friend? Lover? What are we to each other? She walked closer to Elenya and hugged her close, before kissing her on the side of her head.

"I'm sorry. I have to go. I'll keep in touch. " She then left her apartment without looking back. She didn't want to see the tears she knows Elenya had. She never could stand crying woman, it always broke her heart.

She walked toward Normandy, her mood sour, she just hoped they would be back soon. But first she needs to talk with Miranda. She had enough of her mood swings.

Miranda's office: after leaving the Omega.

Bellona walked through the doors into Miranda office and as usual Miranda was sitting at her place before the terminal.

Bellona's face hardened, her eyes turned icily cold. "We need to talk."

Miranda calmly looked at Bellona, and saw her serious face, nodded her head. "About what Agent?"

Bellona eyes narrowed in anger; again, she was talking to her as if she was some kind of lackey, like she was some kind of stranger instead of her friend. This will end.

"What the hell is wrong with you Miranda?! Why are you treating me like this?"

Miranda looked at her confused, her face showing no sign of any emotion. "I'm treating you like I always have."

Bellona slammed her palms on the desk. Loud Smack sound echoes around the office. "Bull! You treat me as if I'm a stranger to you! When I try to bring up past, you give me a cold shoulder! When I try to be friendly, you ignore me; you don't listen to me when I need you to do so. But when you need me, I'm always there! Always ready to listen to you, to care for you. You don't talk to me anymore! It's only about missions with you. About humanity, Illusive Men."

"It has nothing do to with Illusive Men-|"

"Damn it Miranda, why can't you see what is in front of you all this time? Why are you so hung up on this 'humanity deserves the best' moto?! Tell me Miranda where was the last time you ever asked me how I feel? Where was the last time you spend some time with me? For fuck sake Miranda do you even remember me?!"

"Of course I do—"

"Well it doesn't look like you do! Damn it Miranda, sometimes I feel like I'm talking with a stranger instead of my best friend. As if you not the same person I used to know."

"Time change people Bell. You know that."

"It has nothing to do with time Miri. Don't you see you're so deep into Cerberus, into TIM that you losing sight in front of you? Is Cerberus that important to you? Is humanity so important that you will lose yourself in the process? That you would follow his ideas over yours?"

"Illusive man has a high hope for humanity, and you know –"

"Damn it! Miri why are you so freaking blind? Why are you….why!" Bellona could help herself as she felt tears blur in her eyes, but she didn't let them drop.

"Why can't you see that you're just a tool to him, nothing more, nothing less, he can replace you at any time. You live only once, and I don't want to lose you. I care about you…" she whispered softly, "sometimes, I wonder if you ever cared about me…"

Miranda was silent, not saying a word. Bellona didn't know what was going inside of her head. Bellona saw something pass in her deep blue eyes, before it disappeared as quickly as it came. Bellona watched in horror how her best friend turned to a stranger right in front of her eyes.

"Are you done?" Miranda's cold voice stabbed her heart, right in front of her, all their years of friendship turned to dust. Bellona was choked; she couldn't believe this was happening to them. All this time, all those years and all for nothing. Bellona's features turned hard, eyes, empty, hard as ice glaring into the lovely blues.

"Yes."

Miranda nodded her head, and turned back to her terminal. "You're dismissed."

"Yes ma'am." Burning with anger, Bellona turned, taking her bag, and leaving Miranda's office, without looking back.

Bellona walked toward the elevator, pushing the button up to CIC, she stood her eyes flashing in anger as the doors closed.
