hollla it's me! sorry it's been so long for me to update it's been hectic and I've been thinking about few plans for the story.
and thank you all for your following and favoring my story it really means a lot :)
and now without farther ado.. laa chapter. Enjoy my lovely readers !
"Sis! Sis wake up!" not exactly how I wanted to be woken up in the morning but that's Luke "Come on I want pancakes!" yup hes very demanding too. "Give me 10" I murmured stretching and kicking him out of the bed hearing a thump meaning he fell "Ow!". Yup Success.
After breakfast I drove Luke to school and headed to work, Gloria passed me my apron before hurrying back to serving people. I looked around the diner seeing many people, I guess it's going to be rush day today "Beth! Get moving!" Lisa, one of waitresses snapped waking me up from my daydream "Sorry..". I quickly tied my apron grabbing a notepad hurrying over at one of the tables taking their orders.
"Everything okay with you today sweetheart?" Gloria's asked softly while we were sitting outside the diner at our brake. "I talked to my dad yesterday" I answered glancing at her, it was no secret that my relationship with my dad was strained.
she lifted her eyebrow as a sign for me to continue "He read about the Anderson project in our area and called me, Said that Luke and I are welcomed to go live with him". I shrugged my shoulders taking another glance at her "Have you talked with Luke about it?" exactly the question I didn't want to hear "No, Luke isn't really a big fan of our dad". It was true, Dad was never there for him and I don't think he could forgive him for that, all the missed birthday, school plays, Christmas's and the list goes on and on. "So what are you going to do?" Gloria asked looking at me sympathetically and reached over putting her hand on top of mine squeezing my hand "I honestly don't know" I answered already imaging Luke's reaction.
After finally finishing my shift I headed over to school to pick up Luke. I was leaning against the side of my car waiting for him. After waiting a few minutes I saw him walking over talking to few of his friends, when he saw me he parted from them walking over to me. "Feel like getting some ice-cream?" I asked while we were getting in the car "You already know the answer" he replied giving me his 'obviously' face making me laugh.
"Here, chocolate ice-cream" I said handing him his own which he quickly started licking "let's go sit over there" I pointed to one of the empty benches.
"Everything's not okay isn't it?" Luke stated after a few minutes of silence "What makes you say that?" I asked looking in his eyes "I heard you on the phone a few days ago… with dad, my friends also told me about this building project, that It was going to be where we live" he answered shrugging his shoulder licking his ice-cream bringing his gaze back to me "Are we gonna have to go live with.. him?" he finally asked the question he was dreading to ask "I don't know that yet buddy.. I been saving up some money and I'm looking for another job, hopefully we won't have to" I answered pulling him over to me giving him side hug but he quickly turned over dropping his ice-cream giving me a firm hug. Well, this conversation went a whole lot better than I expected.
To say the group was gloomy Is an understatement, everyone was In a gloomy mood. "Hey, you okay?" Eddy's voice made me snap back to realty "Not really" I answered softly giving him a half smile that he returned "Wanna talk about it?" he asked holding my hand squeezing it comfortably "It's this whole Anderson thing, it's messing everything up" I answered slumping in my seat. "I hear ya" he murmurer's lifting my hand kissing it softly and I couldn't help but smile cheekily at him "Come here" I said grabbing his face pulling him in for a kiss. "How about dinner later?" he asked pulling away from the kiss "Definitely" I answered pulling him in for another kiss. "Calm it down you two" Jason teased making Eddy roll his but before he threw back a snarky remark we saw Emily and Sean approaching us. "Where have you been?" Eddy asked looking over at them as did everyone else, Sean and Emily shared a glance before turning back to us. "Emily's got an idea for the next Mob" Sean explained walking over closer to us while Emily stayed where she was standing, Eddy let out an annoyed sigh. "Look man, I don't really need Cinderella coming in here and messing with the program alright? We need to be working on the next Mob, We already got over 4 million hits" Eddy stated but Emily cut him off "So you get a lot of hits on YouTube, that's great maybe you'll win this thing, win some money, but it's not gonna change anything, believe me. I mean you have 4 million listening but you're not saying anything that actually matters, you know it's not okay to make art for fun anymore, it's not okay to make trouble either" she explained making everyone listen "So what are you suggesting exactly?" I asked the question that was clearly on everyone's mind "I saying enough with performance art, it's time for protest art!". I like this girl. "Anderson Global Property is presenting the project to the city counsel in a week, they have to have the counsel's approval to move forward, I think we should join them". Everyone were nodding their heads agreeing with everything she said "So we're gonna Mob the meeting" Pam jumped in enthusiastically "I'm down" Jason added taking a step forward "How do you know all this?" Eddy asked half-heatedly. "City councils meeting, their public records, and their this space aged device called the internet now" she replied with a little sarcasm making everyone laugh. "Think about it, instead of just getting hits we could make a statement" Sean added looking at Eddy who let out a sigh of defeat "alright I'm listening" making everyone cheer. He looked over at Emily asking "What's the plan?". She gave us a smile and pulled out a hat from her purse "Well, we're gonna need some more dancers". She dropped the hat in front of Eddy and he picked it up looking over at me and than at her and I couldn't help but smile, I have a good feeling about Emily's plan.
