Shepard POV:
Okay, I probably shouldn't get involved in this, but I think those two need to get it over with. Okay, I don't know what they problem is, but I'm planning on figuring it out.
"EDI where is Agent Rose and Miranda?"
EDI: Agent Rose right now at the bar, with Miss Lawson.
Okay, what happened now? "Thanks EDI." Shepard sighed as she walked out of her room, walking inside the elevator and pushing the button to CREW DECK.
As the doors opened Shepard walked out of them and moved toward the Observation Deck. As she walked closer she could hear the voices inside the room, arguing. As she walked in she saw Miranda standing behind Bellona with a data pad, in her hand, while Bellona was ignoring her and trying to drink her whiskey.
"How long are you going to sit on your butt and drink Whiskey instead of working?"
Spoke Miranda angrily while Bellona only shrugged her shoulders and waved one hand in the air. Just how much did Bellona drink? And How long are these two been in here arguing?
"Don't you see? I'm taking a break, and enjoying my whiskey. Maybe you should do the same, you been cranky since this morning Miranda, not good for you. Why don't you just relax!"
Bellona took a shot of her drink and turned to look at Miranda and pointed a finger at her.
"And I'm not lazy!"
Miranda rolled her eyes and crossed her arms. "I have a lot of work and report to finish, and I still don't have your report, the one you told me you will do when we get back to the ship! Did you finish it yet? I need to send the report to Illusive Men soon."
Bellona snorted and said angrily. "I'm Sure that TIMY has nothing better to do the read your stupid reports about what I eat for breakfast or how many people I killed in Purgatory! Why can't you just stop for once coming to me with Illusive Men's demands?"
Miranda glared at her. "Will you stop calling him that? Have you forgotten who you work for? He is the one pays you remember? All I want you to do is to write a report and send it to me."
Bellona spat out. "Oh, I haven't forgotten who I work for! I haven't forgotten why I am here in the first place; maybe it's you who forgot Miranda! Maybe it's you who forgot who you are talking to? Who I am? Do you even remember my name? Huh?"
Miranda flinched a little until her eyes narrowed, as she laid down the data pad on the table. "I want you to fill on report as soon as you can. Then send it to me." She finished saying with cold tone in her voice before turning away and walking out, nodding at Shepard as she went by.
Damn it, Bellona couldn't take it anymore, they heated quarrel still continues, both of them at each other throats like savage hungry dogs fighting over dominance. Bellona slammed her clenched fist down onto the table. Every time Miranda mention that bastard name she would feel her anger boiling up inside. It was…making her lose her temper and then she would feel like a jerk.
She felt like she couldn't breathe, fighting with Miranda was taking a toll on her, it was too much, yet somehow she keep on moving. Looking at Miranda and seeing that mask on her face, fell the wall around her, that fake armor she always wear inside. It pisses her off. Yet I never said a word before until now. Why?
Bellona looked at the data pad on the table and sighed before turning back to her whiskey.
"Hey, got a minute?" A voice spoke behind her, she turned to look and saw Shepard.
"Sure, take a sit." Shepard sat down to her right, "Drink?" Shepard smirked, "No thanks."
"Suit yourself!" She drank her whiskey in one shot, before turning to Shepard.
"What up?"
"What up between you two?"
Bellona snorted before getting another drink, "I get it that you saw our little show huh?"
Shepard arched an eyebrow, "I won't say it was a show, but it looked like you two were trying to rip each other throats out." Bellona snorted, looking down at her glass.
"It's nothing, just, she changed, it's like I can't understand her anymore. It's like she seems more focused on results. She never was like that before we joined Cerberus."
Shepard looked at Bellona and saw her hazel eyes sad and unfocused, probably whiskey already taking effect on her. "You two know each other long?"
Bellona took a deep breath and slowly let it out. "I know her since we were both kids. My guardian worked close with her father."
"So what happen?"
Bellona looked at the data pad before taking another shot of her whiskey. "Her asshole of a father."
"What did her father do?"
"Sorry Shepard, but I'm not telling you that, if you want to know, ask Miranda. All I'm saying is that he's a sick man who after legacy of his own."
"I see."
"Sometimes I wish I could have done something more for her. Now that I look back at it and see that she was already changed, maybe not fully, but a little because of her father and his legacy.''
"Life is like water, not stone. People change with circumstances. You can't blame yourself for someone else's choices. Bellona." Shepard said softly watching as Bellona frowned.
"Maybe, I don't know. I need to think about this. But, thanks Shepard. For the talk."
Bellona smiled softly at her. Shepard nodded her head,
"Anytime, Bellona."
Bellona finished her drink and took the data pad before walking away. "I'm better finish the report, before Miranda bites my head off. Again."
Shepard just smirked, before making her own drink. She was sure she would need one before going for another mission with those two again.
Normandy: DECK 4 : Cargo Hold: Agent Rose quarters.
Mission Report 24-C.
This mission took place at the Purgatory a prison for dangerous criminals. Who the hell would buy a criminal for their missions? Crazy people probably. Wait—does that make me one too? Nice. Thanks A lot Miranda.
Anyway, our task was to get a criminal Jack for our mission. Needless to say, we got problem in our way.
The one in charge of the prison, Warden –yes Miri you know his name you were there – was not cooperating as he should have and choose to lock Shepard and her squad in a block cell. As he said –Sell her and he would live like a king- What an asshole!
Since the start of this mission I felt something was going to go wrong, but who listen to me?
So we had to fight our way through the guard to get to Jack and free her. –Yes Her! Not Him!- Let's just say that woman is a biotic killer machine, she destroyed two Mech with just her biotic, without wearing any armor!
We had to fallow her as she escaped, the Warden had no other choice but to let lose the other criminals but they along the guard were killed on our way to Jack. The ship was going in flame, so we had to hurry and get out of there.
In the end Jack joined the group, with getting a deal for the databases Cerberus had on her, for her cooperation for this mission.
Bellona finished typing on her terminal her report. Before sending it to Miranda.
Bellona couldn't help but sight, as she relaxed in her chair. How had something like their friendship come to this? The sound of her voice used to warm her and made her smile, the scent of her perfume had made her heart race. Now, they started to argue, snap at each other, and hurt each other with words.
This was not how it was supposed to go. Now they passed each other like they didn't even know one another. It wasn't right. They used to be close, now they both don't care of one another as they used to.
EDI: Agent Rose, Shepard asked me to tell you that you have a mission, and should suit up and met her at the shuttle.
Bellona blinked, her eyes before answering. "Thanks EDI. What the mission?"
EDI: You are going to Tuchanka to recruit Krogan by the name of Warlord Okeer.
Bellona stood up and shut off her terminal. Before going to freshen up. "Who else is going?"
EDI: Miranda Lawson.
Bellona snapped her eyes open and narrowed her eyes. "I see. Thank EDI."
Bellona cursed under her breath; this was not going to be pretty. But it was a long time since she was on Tuchanka. Might as well enjoy the trip while she still could. Let's just hope this mission will go with out too much trouble.
AN: Sorry, for taking so long with this chap, but please read and review, next is Tuchanka! XD
