Chapter 33 – Homecoming

Heidi closed her eyes and re-opened them once more as she stared at the house in front of her. During those dark days trapped in that God-awful warehouse, she remembered wondering if she was ever going to see her house ever again.

She didn't know why she was surprised that the house hadn't changed at all. She thought that it was maybe because it had felt like a lifetime since she'd been gone, and more than a lifetime since she'd been in the house that she grew up in. Lita had moved in with Randy in Louisville, in the suburb of Prospect, soon after Heidi was born. The Ortons then moved again when when Heidi was 5 and Lita officially retired from wrestling. The move from Randy's home in Prospect to the new home in Anchorage was so that Heidi could be closer to the elementary and high schools and Lita could be closer to her job at Louisville Gymnastics. The red brick path was still there leading from the sidewalk to the chestnut brown double wooden front door. The perfectly pruned red roses lining the path were still as beautiful as ever. Heidi remembered, while she was growing up, how every spring those same red roses would be everywhere in the house. On the coffee table in the middle of the living room, on the kitchen counter next to the microwave, in the middle of the dining table in the family room, and even on all the vanities in all the bathrooms. She had seen photos from her parents wedding 17 years ago and it was clear to see how much her mother loved red roses. The red roses along the path out front were an anniversary gift from her father to her mother when they had moved to Anchorage. Those roses were her mother's pride and joy and she tended to them all year round. It was a beautiful reminder to Heidi of how love like the love that existed between her parents was real and very possible. Those roses were also the reminder that the Orton house was a house a love and because of that her heart wanted to explode at that moment from the feeling of being back and seeing it all in real life.

"Coming sweetheart?" Lita suddenly spoke, breaking Heidi out of her thoughts.

Heidi's eyes were drawn to her mother, who was standing outside the car looking in at Heidi through the car window. It was funny how after being away from her for so long, Heidi now noticed the little things about her mother that she hadn't even given a second thought to before. The freckles on her mother's nose. The way she'd always stand with one arm by her side and the other folded at the elbow and holding the forearm of her other arm. The fadings of a scar across her right cheek. It was like she was looking at her mother for the very first time. Like she was a child again - idolizing and fascinated by the woman that her mother was.

It was almost like she was trying to memorise every feature of her mother just in case it all happened again. No matter how much everyone kept telling her she was safe and it was over and that she would never have to go through that again, Heidi couldn't help but let the paranoia overtake her at moments. The psychologists said it was normal, but it felt like anything but that. In the grand scheme of things, and as far as kidnapping cases go, she hadn't been kept away from her life and her family and friends for that long, but it had been long enough. It had been long enough for her to feel like she didn't quite yet belong back in her life. It had been long enough for her to feel like she'd missed so much, and it had been long enough for her to feel like she needed to memorise everything about everyone she loved and everything she loved just in case it happened again.

"Coming," Heidi suddenly nodded, realizing she hadn't actually given her mother an answer.

Heidi opened the car door and stepped out onto the paved Orton driveway. The Keds on her feet felt so foreign still as she wriggled her toes inside the shoes. She'd spent 40 days in that warehouse being barefoot and then another week or so in the hospital also barefoot and in scrubs. It wasn't until her release this morning that Heidi was actually given the opportunity to wear some kind of footwear. Lita had grabbed something simple for Heidi to start with – Keds and a short floral printed romper. It was one of Heidi's favourites to wear for the summer and it was obvious to her that Lita had chosen it for that reason. Heidi smoothed out the cotton fabric of the romper as she closed the car door behind her. Her dad had made his way from his side of the car and passed Heidi with a wink as he headed for the front door.

"So, what has changed since I left?" Heidi spoke, shoving her hands in the pockets of her romper as she walked briskly to catch up to her mother who was following her father to the front door.

"Not much really, except the place is probably cleaner because it's all I could do to keep my mind off things when me and your father were back here from Atlanta," Lita spoke honestly as she turned to face Heidi "But I guess you'll see that for yourself when you get inside."

Heidi simply nodded as she reached a hand to run through her bright red hair. She closed her eyes at the feeling of being able to run her hands through clean, soft hair. She had always wanted to know what it would be like to not wash your hair for a month, but after 40 days living that reality she definitely did not want to experience that again.

Heidi had almost jumped out of her skin in excitement when her mother had brought her favourite Cocoa Butter scented shampoo to the hospital in her care package. The body wash, the face wash, the exfoliating scrub, the moisturing cream and razors in the care package had all been luxuries she had only been dreaming of, but she would have definitely given her left arm to wash her hair with that liquid Cocoa Butter as soon as she first woke up in the Sanford Hospital.

Lita stepped aside and let Heidi enter the house first once Randy had opened the front door. Heidi didn't hesitate for a moment as she walked straight into the foyer of the house and then straight into the living room. Heidi turned around in circles looking at every inch of the room and realized that absolutely nothing had changed, and it made her feel like she was truly home. Everything she remembered was there and they were all the way she remembered it too. Familiarity was what she craved right now. If only to lessen the feeling she had that she had missed so much while she had been gone.

Ruff!

Heidi jumped as her ears caught the noise suddenly and she immediately spun around to see what it was. Her eyes fell on one of the smallest dogs she'd ever seen. The dog was looking up at her with its wide brown eyes, big smile and panting tongue. Its mass of tan fur was beautiful and shiny and formed a small mane that framed the dog's head perfectly. Heidi cocked her head in confusion.

"Mom, is this our dog?" Heidi called out to her mother who had made her way into the kitchen with her father.

Heidi turned in the direction of the kitchen as Lita and Randy appeared.

"Well actually I believe she's your dog," Lita replied with a smile.

"And she's clearly just as attention seeking as you," Randy added with a half laugh.

Heidi turned her attention back to the small dog who was now jumping up and down in front of her in a striving effort to be picked up. Heidi smiled as she crouched down and extended her arms towards the small dog. Without a moment of hesitation the dog jumped into Heidi's arms and cuddled into her forearm as Heidi wrapped her arms around its small body.

"What do you mean this is my dog?" Heidi asked as she turned to face her parents again as she straightened herself up, adjusting the small dog comfortably in her arms.

"As in this was one of your birthday presents that you haven't had the chance to see yet," Lita replied.

Heidi just stood there and looked down at the dog in her arms again before looking back at her parents.

"Look honey she's speechless," Randy commented "Can we please keep her like this or at least document it that Miss Heidi Maree Orton for the first time in her life had absolutely nothing to say."

"Whatever Dad," Heidi said with a small smile and rolling her eyes before her attention turned back to the puppy.

Its big brown eyes looked up at her again as it panted happily in her arms; its pink tongue lolling out of the side of its mouth. Heidi took one of her hands and softly ran her fingers through its long tan fur before she took hold of the heart shaped tag attached to the purple collar around the dog's neck. "Honey?" Heidi asked as she turned back to her parents.

Lita simply nodded and smiled at her daughter.

"Thanks guys," Heidi replied with a smile of her own as she nuzzled her cheek into Honey's soft fur "She's beautiful. I love her."

"So now that you've met your puppy," Randy said, changing the subject "Can we please show you to your new room?"

"My new room? What?" Heidi said, furrowing her brow in confusion "You guys do know that I have a room in this house right? I haven't been gone that long have I?"

"Yes we know," Lita said shaking her head with a small laugh "But we thought with the baby and the pregnancy that it was going to be better for you to be downstairs. Less stairs to climb and you'll be closer to the kitchen and the living room."

Heidi nodded.

"Well I guess that does make sense," Heidi replied "I hadn't even thought about that yet."

"And that's totally OK sweetheart," Lita said, immediately moving to her daughters side to wrap an arm around her "It's still early days and we still have a lot to talk about."

Heidi simply nodded as she looked down at her belly. She wasn't showing yet so it almost felt like it wasn't real yet. Heidi found herself at moments completely forgetting about it altogether since she found out. It was surreal. She was carrying and growing a whole new life inside her. There was a tiny baby inside her. Her tiny baby.

"Your mum is going to be here with you all the time when the baby is born and I'll be here as often as I can," Randy added "We're going to be here to help you with all this. I'll be home from the road as often as possible."

"In saying that we both know how much you love being on the road so as long as you feel up to it we'll all go back to being on the road together for the summer," Lita added "Just like we planned."

"Exactly," Randy said with a nod "It's completely your choice Heids."

"Just know that whatever you decide me and your father will be here for you OK?' Lita added "We are here for you."

Heidi nodded again and sent a small smile in her parent's direction.

It had been, to say the least, hard for her to tell her parents about her decision to keep the baby she was pregnant with. It had been absolutely terrifying anticipating what kind of reaction they were going to have and whether or not they were going to support her decision to keep the baby. It wasn't until the day before she was about to be discharged that she finally found the courage to tell her parents that she had made her decision. Her mother hadn't even let the room be silent for a moment before she immediately told Heidi that she was proud of her for making the decision she did and that she and Heidi's dad were going to support her through all of it. Her dad had been just as comforting and supportive and it made Heidi feel like such a fool for really believing that her parents weren't going to be there for her. Her parents had always been there for her and supported her in whatever what she wanted to do. This time was no different.

"So do you want to see it then?" Lita spoke, breaking Heidi out of her thoughts.

Heidi smiled as she cuddled Honey further into her chest.

"I do," Heidi nodded "I want to see it!"

"So," Randy started as he lead the two ladies from the living room and into the foyer at the entrance of the house "We decided the best location for your new room would be the guest room."

"That part was pretty obvious Dad," Heidi laughed as she followed her father "Considering it's the only bedroom downstairs."

"OK then smart ass," Randy said rolling his eyes at his daughter "Do you still want to see it then?"

"Yeah!" Heidi exclaimed as she pushed in front of her father and headed towards the guest room behind the staircase in the foyer.

The foyer of the Orton home had a very unique arrangement, especially if you were someone that was entering the house for the first time. As soon as you walked in the front door you found yourself in the tiled foyer with the main staircase directly in front of you – tiled stairs and wooden balustrade. Up the stairs were the 2 regular bedrooms and the 1 master bedroom. There was also 1 main bathroom upstairs as well as an ensuite that connected onto the master bedroom. To the right of the staircase were two arch doorways. The first one lead you directly into the kitchen and the second one lead you into the living room. The guest bedroom was almost a secret treasure of the house as the main entrance was tucked away underneath the staircase. Heidi led the way as she adjusted Honey in her arms so she could free up one of her hands to grasp the door handle to open the door.

"How the hell did you manage to move my bed down here?!" Heidi exclaimed as soon as she opened the door.

"That's the first thing you notice when you open the door?!" Randy exclaimed in reply "Not the super nice yellow paintjob I did on the walls, or the nice new curtains I put in that your mother I insisted I buy so they'd match your bed?"

"Well mum was right, the curtains go awesome with the bed," Heidi cheekily replied, "Just kidding Dad."

Heidi walked into the centre of the room and looked around at everything that was her new bedroom. The yellow colour draped across all 4 walls, teamed with the sunlight streaming in through the sliding door, lit up the room and made it feel warm and cosy. Her white four-poster was sitting up against the left wall with her two white bedside tables on either side. The guest room's original inbuilt wardrobe with floor length mirrors for doors was closest to the entry door. Her white dresser was sitting on the opposite wall with her circle mirror, surrounded by a border of white, hanging above it. All her perfumes and jewelry were all sitting on top of her dresser just the way she'd left them.

Heidi looked over every inch of the room and had to control herself from letting the tears flow. It was the most overwhelming feeling to be back in her own home. 40 days she had been gone and for 40 days she never thought that she'd be coming back. She never thought she'd set foot again in this house. She never thought she'd be able to sleep in her bed again. As the first tear fell Heidi took a couple of steps across the room and placed Honey down in what she assumed was Honey's brown and beige paw printed fluffy bed. The puppy immediately started walking in circles in the bed before flopping down on the fluffy fabric and resting her tiny head in her even tinier paws.

"Thank you," Heidi finally spoke as she brushed away her tears and turned to face her parents.

Her mum and dad were still standing in the doorway as they watched her. Her dad's arm wrapped around her mum's shoulders.

"So you like it?" Lita asked, a genuine look of concern on her face.

Heidi smiled.

"It's perfect," Heidi replied as she turned around and looked over the room once more "I love the colour. I love where everything is. I love it."

"Well we're very glad you do," Randy replied "Because it was a bitch getting your bed down here."

Heidi laughed as Lita rolled her eyes at Randy's comment.

"You should have seen your father and the guys trying to get it down here," Lita laughed "They were hopeless!"

Heidi laughed as she turned to face her father.

"Who helped you Dad?" Heidi asked.

"The usual idiots," Lita replied.

"We are not idiots!" Randy exclaimed in his own defense.

"So I'm guessing Dave, Cena, Christian and Jeff?" Heidi replied.

"Whilst Cena is an idiot, he was unavailable that weekend," Lita replied "So just the other idiots you mentioned."

"I'm going to tell the guys you think they're idiots," Randy commented, crossing his arms and turning his back towards his wife.

"Pretty sure they already know Dad," Heidi laughed at the antics of her mother and father.

She had missed their crazy antics and the picking on each other they did all the time.

Her mother and father were those parents that never really fought, which was weird for Heidi when she was growing up with friends who had normal fighting parents. Lita and Randy would argue, like normal people, but before anything ever escalated into a fight one of them would make the other laugh and the next thing Heidi knew they'd be cuddling or kissing or, in the worst case scenario for Heidi, making out on the kitchen bench. Thankfully they refrained from the kitchen bench antics when Heidi had friends around.

Her friends would always tell her how their parents would scream and yell at each other and they'd have to seek refuge in their rooms with the TV up on full volume. Heidi never once experienced that and she was grateful for it. It gave her a great insight into what a good relationship between two people looked like. It gave her a relationship to look up to and it gave her something to strive towards. It may have been the reason why she never really dated in high school. Maybe if she hadn't been so picky, she would have gone on more dates than she had, but she knew that she wanted to find someone that gave her a relationship like the one between her parents and she found that that was hard to find. Occasionally in the past she had decided to be a little less picky, like she had with her only high school boyfriend and like she had with that jerk Tyler Hadson who hadn't once come and visited her while she was in the hospital, but other than that she didn't really see the point in wasting her time. She was like every other girl, and as cheezy as it was, she wanted to find real love. She wanted to find something meaningful and beautiful and functional, just like the love her parents shared.

"So, that is pretty much as crazy as your mum and I got while you were away," Randy spoke, bringing Heidi once again out of her thoughts "Other than that, every other room in the house is exactly the same. Except that now the guest room and all its contents are upstairs."

"Your father and the idiots had fun with that move too," Lita replied, smiling at Heidi.

"Whatever wife," Randy replied, playfully holding his head up head.

"You guys are just as weird as ever," Heidi replied with a small laugh "I'm glad that hasn't changed either."

"Right, so," Lita said clapping her hands together and looking at Heidi and then at Randy "Hungry?"

"Definitely," Randy said as he turned around and started leading his girls out of Heidi's room and into the foyer towards the kitchen.

"Sandwiches?" Lita asked over her shoulder in Heidi's direction as they entered the kitchen.

"Well actually…" Heidi started.

Heidi was then distracted by the small ball of fur that all of a sudden flew through the air as Honey came rushing into the kitchen and jumped up onto one of the white swivel bar stools arranged around the marble top kitchen counter. Heidi couldn't help but laugh as she watched Honey freak out as the bar stool started turning. Her little paws and claws trying desperately to hang on until the turning stopped and the chair finally came to a stop. Honey then curled up into a ball again, as she had before in Heidi's room, and closed her eyes ready for another sleep.

"Does this dog do anything else apart from sleep?" Heidi laughed as she pointed to Honey and turned to face her parents.

"Sleepy dog is your mother's fault," Randy replied as he retrieved a can of Diet Coke from the fridge "I wanted to get you a Rottweiler."

Lita rolled her eyes in Heidi's direction at Randy's comment.

"That's a great story Randy, but how about you tell Heidi the real story of how you wanted to get yourself a kitten?" Lita said, turning to face her husband with a cocked eyebrow.

Randy's face went bright red and he all of a sudden stormed out of the kitchen with his Diet Coke and a very pouty look on his face.

"Kittens are cute alright!" he called out as he disappeared into the living room, which was separated from the kitchen by the archway Randy had just left through and a large open window.

Heidi and Lita erupted into laughter as Heidi took a seat on the bar stool next to Honey and started stroking the dog's tanned fur, much to Honey's delight as she started leaning into Heidi's touch.

"So now Mr Dramatic has left," Lita said, leaning over the kitchen counter in Heidi's direction, as her laugher subsided "What were you doing to say?"

"Oh yeah!" Heidi exclaimed, realizing she never finished her prior sentence "I was going to say that I can't stay for lunch."

"Why not?" Lita asked, confusion spreading across her face.

"Ash is coming over," Heidi said with a wide smile "He wanted to take me out for lunch in the park."

Heidi then turned to look at Honey.

"And I guess that means that I can take Honey with us too," Heidi finished as she turned back to face her mother.

"OK," Lita simply nodded.

"I'll be OK Mum," Heidi spoke up, her hand reaching out to touch her mother's forearm resting on the marble surface in front of them "Ash will be with me the whole time. He'll look after me."

Lita nodded again.

"I know you'll be fine," Lita explained "But I still worry."

"I get it," Heidi sighed "I worry too, but I'll be OK with Ash and he promised he'd bring me home before dark."

Lita took a deep breath and looked Heidi in the eyes. It was still a surreal feeling to know that Heidi was right there in front of her. It almost made Lita feel like maybe part of her had accepted, in those 40 days, that Heidi was gone and she was never going to see her again. The bigger part of her kept strong and kept hope that Heidi was strong, that she was alive, and that one day she was going to come home, but it felt like that smaller part of her had slowly come to accept that Heidi was maybe gone forever. So now that she was back, alive and well, Lita just wanted to wrap her daughter in cotton wool and never let her out of her sight again. Unfortunately it was no way for an 18 year old girl to live, and neither was it a good way for a mother to live either. So as much as she was worried, she nodded her head. Heidi lunged forward and hugged her mum before the doorbell to the front door rang.

"I got it!" Randy called out.

"That'll be Ash," Heidi commented as she broke away from Lita and turned back around to Honey, who was still curled up on the bar stool "Coming Honey girl?"

Honey started wagging her tail furiously at the mention of her name and stood up in anticipation of being picked up. Heidi let out a small laugh as she scooped up the small dog and cradled her in her arms.

"Her leash is hanging on the side of the pantry," Lita spoke, as she took Heidi's seat on the kitchen barstool.

"Thanks mum!" Heidi exclaimed with a big smile as she carried Honey over to retrieve the dog's matching purple leash as Ash and Randy entered the kitchen.

"Afternoon Mrs Orton," Ash said, removing his cap and nodding in Lita's direction.

"Hi Ash," Lita said with a small laugh as she caught sight of Heidi rolling her eyes as Ash put his cap back on.

"You are seriously such a dork Ash," Heidi said as she clipped Honey's leash on and placed the small dog on the floor.

"Look after her Ash," Lita instructed as she pointed at Heidi and then to Ash.

"Don't worry Mrs Orton, I won't let her out of my sight," Ash said, ever so politely "And we'll be home well before dark."

"Aye aye captain!" Heidi exclaimed jokingly as she saluted Ash and smiled at her mother before heading for the front door "Bye mommy, I love you."

"Bye Heidi," Lita replied rolling her eyes.

"Bye Dad," Heidi said as she slapped Randy playfully on the chest on her way through the doorway.

"Bye Mr and Mrs Orton," Ash quickly spoke as he hurried out of the kitchen, hot on Heidi's heels.

Randy turned to his wife as soon as the front door slammed. Lita, in turn, turned to look out the kitchen window as Ash, Heidi and Honey all got into Ash's Range Rover and started driving down the road into the distance.

"She'll be just fine you know," Randy commented as he walked across the kitchen to come and stand behind his wife, his arms wrapping around her waist as she remained seated in the bar stool "And you know that Ash will look after her."

"I know," Lita sighed "I just don't think I can live through something like that happening again."

"And you won't have to," Randy replied as he placed a kiss on Lita's exposed shoulder "No one is going to ever let that happen again."

Lita sighed as she turned around to face her husband, a smile breaking out across her face.

"You know that they remind me of me and you when we just got together," Lita spoke, breaking the silence as she wrapped her arms around Randy's waist.

"Ash and Heidi?" Randy asked, clarifying what his wife was talking about.

Lita simply nodded.

"Except that they're not together my dear," Randy commented.

"They will be one day," Lita stated, matter of factly.

"Oh really?" Randy asked, cocking an eyebrow "And what makes you think that? Maybe she doesn't feel that way about him. Or maybe he doesn't feel that way about her."

"Pft!" Lita scoffed before she started laughing.

"And what exactly is so funny?" Randy asked, not being to stop himself smiling at the sound of his wife's laugh.

He hadn't heard that laugh in a long time. It had been forever.

"Oh sweetheart," Lita said, the smile still playing on her lips as she looked Randy in the eyes "You must be blind if you don't see it."

"See what?" Randy half exclaimed, genuinely confused as to what Lita was talking about.

Lita sighed as she pat Randy on the shoulder.

"He's clearly crazy about her," Lita explained.

"And how do you know that?" Randy asked.

"I can see it in the way he looks at her," Lita answered.

"And how is that?" Randy asked, half trying to be a smart ass as usual and half because he was genuinely interested in this topic of Ash and his daughter.

"It's the same way that you used to look at me," Lita replied with a smile.

"Oh yeah, 'used to'," Randy commented with a cheeky grin on his face "Now I just can't stand you and your smart ass comments."

Lita replied by punching him in the arm. Randy cocked at eyebrow at his wife before he moved so swiftly she didn't even have the chance to defend herself. The next thing she knew Randy had picked her up, thrown her over his shoulder and was running with her out of the kitchen and into the living room.

"Oh my god Randy stop it!" Lita screamed through her laughter.

Before she could utter another word though Randy threw her back over his shoulder and she landed softly on one of the blue couches in the living room. As soon as her head landed on one of the couch cushions she felt Randy's weight on top of her and then his lips as they descended onto hers.

Lita and Randy let out a simultaneous breath as they connected in a kiss. A kiss that had been a long time coming. A kiss that felt real for the first time in 40 days. Sure there had been other kisses, but needless to say the real kisses had almost disappeared since Heidi went missing. Every waking hour of the day they had been thinking about, worrying about, and praying about their daughter. Sleep had been rare, and the ability to have a full night's sleep had completely escaped them. All that was on their minds was Heidi. They had been there for each other and loved each other to help each other through it all, but the contact that they had shared had been purely to comfort the other out of love.

Lita closed her eyes and savoured in the feeling of Randy's lips on her skin. On her neck. On her shoulder. Along her jawline. It had felt like an eternity since she had felt alive from the feeling of his hands on her body, his fingers on her flesh. She let the groans and the heavy breaths liberally leave her mouth as she just indulged herself in the feeling, and let herself relax into how good it all felt. It had been so long since she had let herself relax and let herself feel good. She hadn't felt like it was right to feel good without knowing exactly what was going on with Heidi. She hadn't felt like she had a right to be happy at any point during the last 40 days because she knew her daughter wasn't. Her daughter had been taken and had been held against her will.

Randy let out a low groan as he felt Lita respond to his touch. He just couldn't help himself as he desperately tried to pull her closer and feel the warmth of her body against his. He could feel her heart racing against his chest as he held her tightly; her hands held him against her just as tightly in between her fingers furiously grabbing at his T-shirt in order to toss it across the room. He attacked her neck with his lips again and he felt her lips on his collarbone in response. Her lips were so soft, her breath was warm, and her fingertips were like fire on his skin.

For the last 40 days they had held each other more so than they had in their entire lives. Nights were spent on the couch in silence, sometimes with the TV playing in the background and other times not. They'd just sit there in each other's arms, their minds a million miles away. Days were spent going through the motions in their own home or at Jeff and Dawn's in Atlanta. Any opportunity they had they were by each other's sides in silence. Their arms wrapped around each other almost to stop each other from crumbling in a heap under the pressure and stress of the whole situation. In this moment, though, it wasn't about holding each other; it was about physically loving each other. Releasing every ounce of pressure and stress that had come with Heidi's disappearance. It was about reassuring each other that their lives were finally back to the way they were supposed to be. It was about reassuring each other that their love and their passion were still there despite everything. Situations like this have an ability to either make or break a relationship, but Randy and Lita knew in this moment that nothing was stronger than the love and the bond that they shared, and now that their daughter was home and she was safe, there was nothing stopping them from reigniting their passion. Finally letting out that breath they'd been holding for 40 days. It was about finding their way back to each other and back to the beautiful life they had made with each other.

Randy hadn't realized how truly fast his hands could work until he felt Lita's naked upper body pressed against him as he threw her top and bra over the back of the couch. Her flesh was so warm against his. The feeling caused his eyes to flutter shut. Goosebumps spreading like wildfire across his skin. All over his body.

"I love you more than anything in the world," Randy whispered in her ear as he held her close to him, his lips leaving feather light kisses on any exposed part of her skin he could find "You and Heidi are my world and there is nothing I wouldn't do for you."

Lita sighed as she wrapped her legs around Randy's midsection in an attempt to bring him closer towards her. Her breaths became ragged as she breathed deeply. Her body shivered in anticipation as she felt every part of her husband pressed against her in a familiar feeling. A feeling that he loved her and that he was never going to let her go. A feeling that he would protect her and keep her safe within an inch of his own life. Every time he held her like this she could feel it all, and it had been so long since she had felt everything.

"I love you Randy," Lita replied as her eyes fluttered shut, her body and mind savouring this beautiful moment "I love you."
