The front door opened and closed, followed by a female voice shouting "Ward?"

Seconds later Romanov entered the kitchen, closely followed by three black clad agents.

"What the hell have you guys been up to?" she demanded when she saw Rob and Ward boarding up the window.

"This chap here decided to make it easy for us to catch him." Coulson told her, tapping Matterson around the back of the head.

"Riiiiggghhtt."

"He broke in at three am and it turns out he's wanted by S.H.I.E.L.D" Skye explained.

"Well that was stupid, wasn't it?" Romanov asked Matterson.

"Mhwhaysm" he replied through his gag.

"I didn't quite get that?" Romanov teased, waving her hands at the agents who took him into custody and escorted him, in handcuffs to their car.

"Are you staying Nat or is this a flying visit?" Rob asked Romanov.

"Just a flying visit. I'm headed to Venice in a couple of hours. I'm only here because Maria asked me to drop these by. She also said Fury wanted it to be Blue?" She replied, slightly confused by the blue comment and handed Coulson a large brown envelope.

Coulson opened it and partially brought the contained documents out; he examined them, pushed them back into the envelope and passed it to Ward, who mimicked Coulson's actions and nodded to Coulson before going to the hallway and placing them in the dresser drawer and locking it.

Ward made his way back into the kitchen and was presented with a full English breakfast, courtesy of Coulson. After the night they had just had Rob reasoned they needed food for energy and Coulson had offered to cook.

When Skye left to use the bathroom Romanov rounded on Ward.

"So why does Skye need ID documents?"

"She doesn't have any."

"Why does she need them now?"

"So they can get married." Rob told her.

"Didn't you two already get married?" Romanov asked taking a bite out of the toast she stole off Ward's plate, but when she saw the look on Rob's face with Coulson making cut throat gestures behind him she knew she had just dropped Ward into a hole.

"Is it true?" Rob asked Ward when they had finished breakfast and he had extracted Ward from the others and frog marched him into the garden.

"Yeah. Well, kind of."

"Kind of?"

"We found ourselves in Asgard and we got talked into some marital binding ritual."

"Asgard."

"It's another world where Thor lives. He actually performed the ritual for us."

"And how did you end up in another world?"

"We accidentally walked through a portal. It's a long story."

"So why did Tilly introduce her as your fiancée?"

"She's pissed she wasn't there and she wanted to give me Gramz' ring."

"Why didn't you just tell us?"

"You saw Sue's reaction to the engagement. Can you imagine if she had found out I got married without inviting her?"

Rob nodded his head smiling. He knew exactly what Sue's reaction would be.

Amber stuck her head out of the door and called for Ward. She was taking them around some of the venues they had found so they could make a decision and book one.

Amber has a list of the venues she had found and had ranked them in the order she thought Ward and Skye might like them. She planned on showing them the lowest ranked one first and working the way up the list to her favourite. It was now midday and they were trudging around the second venue Amber had found.

"Of course the tables can be set out in any arrangement you wish, seating up to ten per table." Their guide said.

Amber sneaked a look at Ward and Skye. As she expected, Ward looked impassive and Skye looked as though she hated it.

"What's that?" Skye asked, noticing a nook in the wall and went to investigate.

Ward took the opportunity to pull Amber to the other side of the room.

"I need your help." He said to her in a low voice.

"After last night, what makes you think I'll help any more than finding you a wedding venue?"

"I'll lay off the pranks on you for a whole month if you help."

"And the others?"

"I can't promise they won't, but seen as though I am the main culprit you should have a relatively easy life!"

"What do you need?" Amber asked.

Skye had gone to investigate what looked like a hole in the wall. She was horrified to realise it was the passage to the only toilet anywhere near the room. She hurried back into the room and saw Ward and Amber talking in low voices. She brushed it off. He was probably asking how many more they had to visit, because if they were all as bad as this one then they may just both have to shoot her.

"Sure I can do that." Skye heard Amber tell Ward as she approached the two of them.

"What do you think?" Ward asked Skye, mainly to change the subject and partially to get out of there.

"No."

Ward just laughed and Skye knew he didn't like it either. So they made their excuses to their guide and left for the next venue possibility.

An hour later they were walking around a room that was a decent size, but it seemed a little too impersonal to Ward, even though it had just been set up for a wedding they were hosting the next day. Then he saw Skye shiver, so he walked up to her and put his arms around her.

"You don't like it do you?" he asked in a soft voice.

"No. It feels kind of cold." Skye responded. She was going to KILL Amber.

"Let's make our excuses and leave."

So they did and headed to the fourth venue Amber had chosen. Again it was a hotel, but they didn't make it to their function room. They actually ran out of the hotel before they were shown the room when all three of them realised the hotel thought they were in a committed threesome. They didn't need that kind of presumption.

Amber drove them to the fifth and final venue she had discovered. On the approach she asked Ward and Skye to put blindfolds over their eyes. Of course Ward objected, but one look from Amber that said 'do you want my help or not?' and he conceded to put it on.

Ward and Skye felt Amber stop the car. The only thing Ward knew was that she had driven over gravel to where ever it was they were.

She opened the car door and led them out, one by one to the front of the building, except she turned them both around so they had their backs to it.

The result was that when Amber told them to take off their blindfolds they were facing open countryside.

"Turn around!" she ordered.

The two of them turned to be faced with, not a hotel like the previous four had been, but a stately home. Skye let out an audible gasp.

"Mr Ward, Miss?" An immaculately dressed woman said, holding her hands out to shake.

"Collins" Ward answered, shaking the woman's hand. Collins was the surname Fury had given Skye on the documentation.

"Miss Collins. I am Anabelle, I will be showing you around and discussing your preferences for the upcoming nuptials."

"Nice to meet you Anabelle." Ward said, flashing her a winning smile.

"Shall we start?" Anabelle asked.
