"You are all nuts." Rob told them as they made their way back to the house.

"Not nuts, we just bore easily." Ward told him while Coulson gave a snort that indicated that they were, in fact, all nuts.

"We are called the crazy plane at the Hub." Simmons pointed out.

"That's Ward and Nat. For some reason Fury thinks I'm the only one who can control both of them together." Coulson added.

"Not that you're any good at it." May said with a smile, remembering the Russian Roulette incident.

"They aren't that bad when they are together." Rob said.

"You've only seen the investment banker side of them. You haven't seen the S.H.I.E.L.D side of them." Amber added, remembering the game of beetledrive.

"That's true." Rob conceded.

Skye however was watching May. She was stealing glances at Coulson, clearly this issue between them wasn't going to go away. When May tripped over a tree root in the dark because her eyes were elsewhere Skye realised she had had enough.

"That's it. I'm calling an emergency girl's night!" She shouted so everyone could hear.

"I'm keeping my bed." Ward said to them while Simmons and Amber cheered.

"Emergency girl's night?" Rob asked.

"Skye obviously feels the need to talk to the girls about something. I'm going to guess it has something to do with us males." Ward explained, glancing at Coulson, for he had also seen May watching him.

"Why would you need to keep your bed?"

"They usually kick me out of it."

Skye poured everyone another glass of Champagne and settled into the bed Simmons and May had been sharing.

"Skye. Not that I mind, but why are we up yet again drinking alcohol, having a girls night?" May asked.

"Because you nearly killed yourself walking back from the woods tonight because your eyes were, yet again, on Coulson." Skye told her. There was no point in lying to her, May knew she had been busted. "We also have the issue of Simmons kissing Fitz to cover."

Amber, May and Tilly all looked at Simmons. This was the first time that they had heard about this.

"Skye!" Simmons nearly shouted, before lowering her voice and continuing "I think May's concentration issues are more important than anything to do with me." She replied, looking at the floor.

"No, I think the fact that you kissed a guy you have flatly denied having feelings for for the past two years is a bigger thing to discuss." May said, glad the focus had shifted off her, even if it was only temporary.

"When did this happen?" Amber asked.

"When we were working with the Eridine and we had placed the freezing device. When we realised it had worked I don't know why, but I kissed him."

"On the lips?" Tilly asked

"No, on the pancreas. Of course it was on the lips." Simmons said sarcastically.

"You worried that Fitz is going to read too much into it?" Skye asked her.

"He keeps trying to talk to me about it."

"And you keep avoiding it." May suggested.

"Why?" Amber asked.

"I don't know." Simmons admitted.

"Well if it was just an innocent gesture what's the problem?" Tilly asked.

"Fitz has been in love with Simmons for like ever, but Simmons has flatly denied any feeling of the same." Skye explained.

"I get the problem now." Tilly replied.

"Are you worried that Fitz thinks that the kiss meant more or are you worried it meant more to you?" May asked, catching onto why Simmons was avoiding discussing it with Fitz.

"I, well it, but I.."

"Simmons."

"It was kind of nice." Simmons admitted, her entire face turning bright pink.

"You could tell him that." Skye suggested.

"And then what happens? We start with the kissing and realise we weren't meant to be together? Then we find we can't work together and one of us has to leave the team." Simmons rambled, her concern showing more than usual.

She was clearly scared of being in relationship that could jeopardise everything she had.

"You won't know unless you try it." Tilly said.

"But what happens if it all goes wrong?"

"Isn't that a risk you run in any relationship?" May added.

"You don't usually lose everything you have, including your best friend, as well as everything you have ever worked for if it all goes wrong."

"Oh, honey! Trust me. You do." May said.

"May, you point blank refuse to make a move on Coulson." Skye said.

"Doesn't I have never lost everything before."

Four pairs of eyes turned to look at May.

"I used to be married." May admitted.

"Was he that guy you shot?" Simmons asked with all the tact of a blunt axe. May glared at her.

"Yes, it was. He was my best friend and also my S.H.I.E.L.D partner.

"Ouch. That must have stung when he betrayed you." Amber said.

Tact seemed to have gone out of the window.

"Yes it did. It's why I transferred into Administration. But that's not the point."

"What is the point?" Simmons asked her.

"You'll get over it and eventually rebuild your life. So you should just go for it. You won't know unless you try."

"Maybe. It doesn't make the thought any easier. I'm not even sure if I want it."

"So, May. Have you ever thought about taking your own advice and just going for it to see what happens?" Skye asked, swinging the conversation back to the reason why she had shouted for a girls night in the first place.

"It's completely different situations and you know it." May protested.

"How? You are completely into Coulson and becoming clumsy when you can't take your eyes on off him. That is a problem." Simmons told her.

"It's completely different because Fitz into you. Coulson is still in love with Audrey." May said helplessly.

"He refuses to tell her he's alive. Claims its better she not know. I think that kind of makes dating her off the table." Simmons replied.

Realising that May was not going to break and make a move on Coulson, Simmons changed the topic of conversation again.

"Anyone else think Kain has a thing for Tilly?" She asked. May, Skye and Amber looked at her. Tilly looked out of the window, which didn't go unnoticed by May.

"Tilly?" she said in a inquisitively manner, which shifted the focus from Simmons to Tilly.

"Oh my God! Something happened didn't it?"

"He asked me out." Tilly admitted, blushing on the top of her ears.

Amber choked on her Champagne and while Simmons slapped her on the back, Skye prodded her for more details.

"When, what did you say?"

"Right after we rescued you from that guy. I said no. He's doesn't exactly float my boat."
