In my new glacier shell I closed my eyes. I just wanted it to end. I could feel my body slowing down, and I drifted off into a dream.

I see a room. The walls were covered in pink wallpaper and also had little crayon drawings. I'm sitting on a tiny bed with plain sheets and metal headboards. It looks like a hospital bed for a child. I turn my head to the left. I see a small mirror. I am a little girl again. My hair is down; my ribbon is on the floor next to the mirror. My expression is somber, and I have bruises on my arms and legs. I am wearing a small white nightgown, and my feet are bare. I stare at the mirror, then I hear a door open. I turn my head to the right. I see Mrs. Tenenbaum. She speaks.

"Mein child. You cannot go running off like zhat. If you need somezhing, you must tell me. Please, speak. You must tell me if you vant somezhing.I'm here to help you. I vant to help you. "

I sit quietly, just staring at her.

"Faith, vhat is it zhat you vant?"

I widened my eyes slightly. Then I talk.

"I want to see Jack."

And then I wake up.

My head is now spinning from the dream. Faith? Who is Faith? Who is this little girl? What am I seeing? What does it all mean? How does she know Jack? Maybe the little girl is—before I finish the thought a man in a bird mask appears in front of me. That familiar, grizzly voice speaks to me.

"OOOOOooooohhhhhh, and it seeeeeeeeeeemmmmmsss he sent not oooooooooooooonnneeee, but twooooooooooooooo….! Hmmmmmmm…weeeeeeeeeell, I can ceeerrrrrtainlyyyyyy woooooooork with thaaaAAaaat…..! Heee thiiiiiiiiiiinks he can kiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiill The Iiiiiiiiiicemaaaaan Finnegaaaaaaaaaaan, weeeeeeeeell he's got anotheeeeeeer thiiiiiiiiiing cooooomiiiiiiiing….!"

I close my eyes again. Not wanting to witness the man's deeds, but then I start feeling warmer. The Ice around me starts to melt. I finally thaw enough to break free and the ice shatters. I look around I see Jack still frozen. I pick up wrench next to him on the ground, and started whacking the ice as hard as I could to try to break the ice. It wasn't working. I threw the wrench on the ground, frustrated. I crossed my arms and saw my glowing veins. I looked at my hand for a minute then slowly pointed at Jack. I flicked and a flame shot out. The ice around Jack melted and he burst out of his paralyzed position, gasping for breath.

"That son of a bitch! I'll kill him!" Jack exclaimed, "Thanks Eve, I owe you one."

"It's okay. Now let's find the bastard who turned us into human popsicles!" I said.

"Let's!"

Jack and I loaded our weapons and looked down a long hallway. There were frozen splicers posing in different positions. I was about to incinerate one of the splicers, but Jack stopped me.

"Wait," Jack said, "We are looking for the one with the bird mask. Leave the others alone for now."

"Good idea." I replied.

We turned, and both of us saw him, frozen in his own glacier shell: Martin Finnegan. I immediately shot a flame, and he burst out of the icy chamber that contained him. He threw ice bullets at us. Jack shot his pistol and I kept shooting bursts of fire at Finnegan. Martin could teleport around the room but Jack and I were diligent. I started feeling weak. I tried to shoot more fire but all I could get was a small ember.

"Jack, what's going on?! I'm losing my powers!" I yelled.

"Don't worry! Here, catch!" Jack replied. He pulled out a syringe that glowed blue. The label read: Eve. He tossed it to me. I caught it and injected it. I suddenly felt better and my flames became stronger.

"Thanks Jack! We're even now!" I said.

"Watch out!" Jack yelled.

I turned to find Finnegan behind me, about to stab me with an extra sharp icicle. Jack aimed his pistol and shot Finnegan right in the head. Finnegan fell to the floor lifelessly. I looked at the dead man, still in slight shock. Jack walked over and took a picture of the half-frozen corpse.

"Let's go. We still have two more fish to fry, you know." Jack said.

"Yeah, and I'm sick of being Cohen's 'Little Moth'. It's too damn dangerous."

We just finished taking the pictures of Cohen's former disciples and were on our way back to the atrium when we heard something peculiar.

"Damn splicers! Rabid animals they are! Oh, what did I ever to deserve this?"

A new voice, a new face, a woman. She had fiery orange hair that was tied up in a bun and curly tendons hanging to make a small ponytail. Her fiery hair matched her fiery voice. She was British, her accent was a slight cockney, but remained mostly posh. She wore a green pea coat with faux fur at the collar and gold buttons down the middle. The coat stopped at her ballerina thin waist but the back trailed down and covered the top part of her thighs. Underneath she wore a light green dress that stopped at her knees and green pumps to match.

"Mum, dad? If you can hear me right now, I just want you to know: I am really angry at you right now. Why the hell did you bring me here in the first place?! I'd do anything to get out of this bloody hell pit!"

She had pale skin that was freckled. She had freckles going across her cheeks and nose which she very obviously tried to cover up with heavy makeup. She had bright blue eyes, but they were almost covered by her unruly bangs. I took a step forward to try to get a closer look but splashed a puddle of water. She jolted around. Pointing her tommy gun at me.

"Who's there?! Show yourself!"

I stepped out completely with my hands up.

"Don't worry, I'm not a splicer."

She lowered her gun. Jack stepped behind me.

"Oh, thank goodness. I thought I was the only one left-wait. Is it really…? You…?"

"What….?"

"It is! It is really you! I thought you were gone forever!"

The woman ran up to me and hugged me.

"And…you too! You've found each other! Oh it's just like old times!"

She let go. Jack and I looked at each other.

"Do…do I know you?" I asked.

"Of course! I..." she paused, her happiness quickly faded, "You don't remember anything, do you?"

I shook my head.

"And…what about you?" the woman asked Jack, looking as if she was about to cry.

I watched them both. Jack shook his head as well.

"I came from the surface, my plane crashed near the lighthouse and I came down here." Jack said.

The woman looked shocked, fighting back her tears. She turned away for a moment.

"Those…monsters. Damn them. Damn them straight to hell! Not only did they steal my life, but…!" she muttered. She spun back around, glancing at me and Jack. "Well, since you don't know me I suppose I should introduce myself. Hello, my name is Clara McIntosh: Daughter of Roger and Emily McIntosh, and heiress to McIntosh Industries!" she smiled and sarcastically curtsied.

"Nice to meet you I'm Eve and this is—"

"Jack…" she interrupted.

"How did you know that?" Jack asked.

"…Never mind, so, um…'Eve'. That's your name? Are you sure?" Clara asked.

"Yes…." I replied apprehensively. Clara turned away again and paced a few steps away. Then turned back at me.

"Tell me, 'Eve', do you happen to own a silver necklace with an initial on it?"

I gasped quietly, my hand shot up to my necklace and I clutched it. She knew about my necklace, but how?!

"I thought as much. Now, correct me if I'm wrong, but it is rather…scratched and scraped, is it not?" She interrogated. I nodded slowly, "I see, what is the initial on the pendant?"

"It's the letter 'e'," I said, "but it's hard to make out. That's all." I said hesitantly.

"…Are you sure that it's not an 'f'?" She asked.

"I—" I stopped myself. It had never occurred to me. "F"… I looked at my necklace. Surely enough, it wasn't and "E" but and "F". I looked up at Clara still staring at me hopefully. I glared at her. "How do you know so much about me and Jack?! Tell me what you know!"

Suddenly an alarm went off. We could hear the turrets flying through the hallways.

"It'll have to wait until a later time, right now we need to move." said Clara.
