Ch 6: Mt. Moon
Two days had passed since the group had left Pewter city and Brock had joined the group. Ash and Serena , as well as their pokemon. Had taken a liking to Brock since he joined them. Brock was a very pleasant person to be around. He was abel to help any of the pokemon with any kind of physical problem, or discomfort.
Then there was his cooking, which was unbelievable.
On the third morning, the group was close enough to Mt. Moon to see it. Ash and Serena were training with their Pokemon. Ash allowed Brock to study his pokemon anatomy with his Charizard while he trained with his others.
"Amazing, the muscles on these wings are 4 times as developed and strong as what my book says a strong charizard's should be. You must be an incredible Charizard." Brock said as he felt and saw Charizard's wings insides.
As Charizard kept his wings up, Charla was staring at him with her face red.
"Char." She said.
"Charla look out!" Serena shouted. Charla turned just in time to see Nidoran smash her left then right foot into her face, hurling her into the ground.
" Charla you need to pay attention." Serena said. Charla shook her head as she got up.
As Brock continued to look over Charizard he noticed the metal necklace around his neck with the Charizite Y embedded in it.
"Hey what's this stone?" Brock asked.
"Uh well." Ash said sweat dropping.
"Ash you may has well tell him since he's traveling with us." Serena said.
"Right, Brock there's something you need to know about me." Ash said as he showed Brock his hidden blade holders.
"Ok you've got wrist braces." Brock said sounding confused. Not a moment later two blades came out from the bottom of the braces and under Ash's wrists.
"What the!?" Brock said as he almost jumped.
"They're called hidden blades, they're the signature of the my Brotherhood." Ash said.
"Your brotherhood?" Brock said.
"It's called the Aura guardians. An ancient brotherhood of men and women who protect people and pokemon around the world. We share special bonds with our pokemon through our aura." Ash said.
"Aura?" Brock said.
"Aura is a form of spiritual energy that is the essence of every living creature. Humans like me have a sixth sense that allows us to see the aura of living creatures around us, it also allows us to wield aura." Ash said.
"Wield it?" Brock asked.
Ash took a deep breath before he formed a sphere of aura in his hands before unleashing it into a wave of energy and flew past the group.
"Wow, that's amazing." Brock said.
"Now for the stone, have you ever heard of Mega evolution?" Ash said.
"Yes. It's where a pokemon can temporarily evolve past its final form. But I hear it's just a legend." Brock said.
"It's not." Ash said as he touched the stone on his right hidden blade holder and a colorful sphere formed around Charizard." Brock's eyes widened as he saw Charizard transform into Charizard Y.
"It's it's real!" Brock shouted.
"Char." Charla said as her tongue hung out go her mouth.
"All aura guardians have at least one pokemon that can Mega evolve." Ash said.
"This is incredible!" Brock said. He came back up to Charizard Y and continued studying his Anatomy.
"Alright Charla use Flamethrower!" Serena shouted before she saw Charla was still gawking at Mega Charizard Y.
"Charla." Serena said as she and Nidoran sweat dropped. Ash continued training with Pidgeotto, Butterfree for another 2 hours, then went through a much more intense training session with Pikachu and Charizard, wanting to improve their skills as well.
Serena did the same with Absol after training with Nidoran and Charla.
After finishing their training and having lunch, the group continued towards Mt. Moon. After a half hour they finally reached the base of the mountain. The mountain was mostly rock with some patches of grass on top of some of the rocks.
At the main base ahead of them, the group saw a cave entrance with a pokemon center near it.
"Looks like we're going to have to go through the mountain to get to Cerulean city." Ash said.
"This should be fun. I hear lot's of people like to go exploring through there." Brock said. When they finally reached the cave entrance they saw a Nurse Joy standing there with a concerned look.
"Nurse Joy, is everything alright?" Ash asked.
"Are you three entering the mountain?" Nurse Joy asked.
"Yes we." Serena started before Brock's face turned red as he came forward and knelt down in front of Nurse Joy as he took her hand.
"Love at first sight has come to me today, you fill my heart with passion. I can't deny these feelings I have!" Brock said.
"What the?" Ash said sounding very confused. Serena remembered when Brock had done that to her. The Nurse Joy seemed a little creeped out and backed up away from him.
"Anyway I need to warn you about the mountain cave. Many people have disappeared in there thees last few days. Yesterday I called an Officer Jenny in and she went inside the cave. But even she hasn't come back yet. I've gotten so concerned that I've actually contacted the army, a Major told me he would sent a platoon later today." Joy said.
"We'll be fine, we need to get to Cerulean city." Ash said.
"Are you guys sure, I mean an Officer Jenny." Brock started before Serena walked in with Ash close behind.
After everything she had been through before, Serena wasn't afraid of a mountain cave.
The interior of Mt Moon was very dark, rocky and full of stalagmite. Ash had let his Charizard out to light up their path.
" Wow Mt. Moon's interior is massive." Serena said.
"You know I've heard rumors that there are fossils in Mt. Moon's lower levels." Brock said.
"Fossils, really that's incredible. I wonder if we'll find any." Ash said. Moments later the group saw a few Zubat flying past them.
"Zubat, lots of them." Brock said.
" Well Zubat do like to live in caves like this." Ash said.
"H'mm, I'd actually like to catch one. Go Onix!" Brock shouted. His massive Rock snake came out and roared.
"Onix use Dragon tail on one of those Zubat.". Onix's tail turned violet as he hurled it up at the group of Zubat. The Zubats flew out of the way as the tail flew past them and continued on before smashing into a rock resting on the ground.
After hitting the rock the group heard a grunt.
"Huh?" Brock said. Charizard walked over and lit up the rock, revealing a knocked out Geodude.
"Oh, sorry Geodude." Brock said sweat dropping.
"Maybe we should keep going." Serena said.
"Right." Brock said as he and his Onix sweat dropped. The group continued through the caves when they reached a dead end.
"Looks like a dead end we'll have to turn around." Ash said. Just before they could turn around, Ash felt hostile auras around them. He turned and saw 6 Zubat flying over them.
"Alight more Zubat!" Brock shouted.
"Brock I don't think you want those Zubat." Ash said.
"Why not?" Brock said before two of the Zubat flew down and started bitting him.
"Ouch hey stop it!" Brock shouted. His Onix raised his tail and smashed the two Zubat into the ground with Dragon tail.
Two more Zubat flew in at Ash only to be lit up with electricity from Pikachu. Serena let out her Absol as the last two Zubat flew at her.
"Rock tomb!" Serena shouted.
"Sol!" Absol shouted as he unleashed a barrage of rocks that flew through the air and knocked out the last two Zubat.
"Well I don't think I want to catch any of these Zubat." Brock said. Ash had felt hostile aura in pokemon like those Zubat before.
Several of the other pokemon in the cave saw what the group had just done. Those 6 Zubat had been terrorizing the other pokemon in the caves for days, they were glad to see them beaten. Another Zubat slowly flew over to the group.
"Another one." Serena said as she saw the Zubat. Ash turned to the Zubat and felt its aura, this Zubat's aura wasn't hostile like the other Zubats' aura.
"Zu." It said.
"Pika?" Pikachu said as he heard what the Zubat said.
"Zu, Zubat."
"This Zubat isn't like those ones that attacked us." Brock said.
"Pikachu what's he saying?" Ash asked.
"Pika, Pikachu." Pikachu said as he turned to Ash. Because of their aura connection, Ash could make out what PIkachu was saying.
Apparently, the Zubat was saying that the 6 Zubat they knocked out weren't wild Zubat. They came with a group of humans a few days prior and started attacking other humans and wild pokemon that came in a certain area of the caves.
"Zubat came with people, I wonder if they were the ones who were kidnapping people." Ash said to himself. He thought more about everything he knew about the situation. People had been disappearing, people had come in and ordered their Zubat to attack anyone who came in.
"Guys, I think I know what's going on here." Ash said.
"What?" Brock said.
"I think team rocket is here." Ash said.
"Team rocket? The criminal organization?" Brock said.
"Ash you're probably right, this sounds like something they would be responsible for. But why is the question?" Serena asked.
"Well I say we find them and stop them." Ash said.
"What we're going after criminals? Aren't they dangerous? Besides Nurse Joy said the army was on their way. Shouldn't we let them deal with Team rocket" Brock asked.
"We've handled them before, besides knowing team rocket they'll be long gone by the time the army arrives. We have to rescue those people." Ash said.
"You're right, let's help them. Zubat can you show us where those people who came here are?" Brock asked the Zubat.
"Zu!" The Zubat said as it started flying back where the group had come from. He lead the group back through the cave and to an area they had not been to before.
"This looks new." Ash said as they went deeper and lower. After another few minutes the Zubat looked more aggressive as Ash felt two human aura's ahead of him.
"Well Zubat did you find any more intruders?" A voice asked. Charizard raised his tail and lit up the cave further, revealing a rocket grunt and a rocket sergeant further down the cave.
"Team rocket!" Brock shouted.
"Intruders!" the Sergeant said as he pulled out a pistol.
"He's got a gun!" Brock shouted. Ash threw his hand forward unleashing a burst of aura that knocked the two rocket members off their feet and knocked the gun out of the sergeant's hand.
"Woah!" Brock said in amazement.
As the two men tried to get up, Ash sprinted over and smashed his palms into their necks, knocking them out.
"Ash that was incredible!" Brock said in disbelief.
"It's nothing other aura guardians can't do." Ash said.
"I guess this proves the team rocket theory." Serena said.
"Come on let's keep moving." Ash said. The Zubat lead them out of the narrow cave into a much larger area. The area had several lights attached to the walls revealing over a dozen rocket grunts and their pokemon searching the area and placing rocks into crates.
"There they are." Ash said as he and the others hid behind a rock formation.
"Look Sergeant a Shell fossil." A grunt said to a Sergeant as he held up a rock that looked like it had a shell embedded in it.
"Excellent, these fossils will be worth a fortune." The Sergeant said as he took the fossil and placed it in a crate.
"I see they're digging for fossils." Serena said.
"Hey look!" Brock said as he pointed to another area of the camp. Ash and Serena turned and saw at least a dozen people including an officer Jenny all tied up against several rocks.
"The people they've kidnapped." Brock said.
"Alright I've got a plan, Serena you and I will go out there and draw their attention. Brock you sneak over to those people and try to free them." Ash said.
"Alright but be careful." Brock said. As the Sergeant and the grunt placed another fossil in the crate they didn't notice Ash come up behind them. He touched both their shoulders before the two turned to each other.
"Was that you?".
"No." They turned around just before Ash smashed his fists right into both their faces. The other grunts turned and saw as the grunt and sergeant fell tot he ground.
"What the?" A grunt said. Ash let out his hidden blades as Charizard and Pikchu came up beside him.
"Aura guardian!" Another grunt shouted.
6 grunts drew their electric batons and ran at Ash with Nidorino and Zubat beside them. Ash slashed several of the batons in half before smashing his elbows and palms into two of the grunt's faces. At the same time Pikachu and Charizard battled the rocket pokemon.
Serena and her Absol hid in wait while another 2 grunts ran past her.
"Night Slash!" Serena shouted. Absol leapt out of cover and slashed the two Zubat while she grabbed the first Grunt's Baton arm and twisted it against its joint and forcing it into he second grunt, electrocuting him.
"Yaahh!" The grunt shouted in pain before fainting.
"Serena then forced the grunt's baton back into his head shocking him as well.
Elsewhere two grunts were guarding the prisoners with two Nidorino beside them.
"Shouldn't we be helping or something?" One asked before they saw Ash knock out another 2 grunts. The two grunts sweat dropped.
"Uh well, someone has to guard the prisoners." The other grunt said. Brock slowly walked up behind the two grunts and grabbed their heads before smashing them into each other, knocking the men out.
"Grou!" Onix roared as he wrapped around the two Nidorino. While this happened, the Zubat noticed another 2 Rocket Zubat flying at Brock from behind.
"Zu!" He shouted not wanting them to hurt Brock. The Zubat flew in and hit both rocket Zubat with wing attack.
Brock turned around just in time to see this.
"Wow, thanks Zubat. Guys the prisoners are safe!" Brock said. Moments later Ash knocked out the last two rocket grunts.
"Alright we did it." Ash said.
"Not quite." An all to familiar voice said. Ash and the others turned to see another 6 rocket grunts standing around 3 rocket officers. Two of the officers Ash and Serena had never seen before. One was a man with green hair and brown eyes.
The other was a woman with gold hair put in long pigtails and purple eyes.
The third officer wore a large mechanical exoskeleton around his uniform.
"Electric Earl!" Ash said.
"Well well well, look who's here. I heard from Jessie, James, and Isabel that you were here. Now it looks like I get the chance to take you down." Earl said smiling.
"You mean us." The officer with green hair said.
"Shut up Biff I'm your superior don't interrupt me!" Earl shouted at the man.
"My name's not Biff , it's Butch!" The younger officer shouted.
"No one cares Bob, listen to Earl!" The woman shouted.
"Butch! Come on Cassidy you've know me since training!" The man shouted.
"Uh who are they?" Serena asked Ash.
"I haven't seen them before." Ash said.
"These are our newest officers. Cassidy and Butch, I'm taking them under my wing. Now I'm afraid I can't let you twerps interfere with my operation here. These fossils are going to make us a fortune and the boss wants them asap. So prepare to face the Hertz!" Earl shouted.
"Hertz?" Ash , Serena , and Brock said.
"Hertz, it's a measure of electrical frequency. It's funny!" Earl shouted.
"Well sir, to be honest.".
"Shut up Biff If I want you're opinion I'll ask for it!". Earl shouted.
"It's Butch!". Earl took out two pokeballs and hurled them forward. A pair of Ampharos came out and stood in front of him.
"Oh and let's not forget they're special feature." Earl said as he revealed his Mega evolution stone.
"Oh no." Ash said. Earl touched his Stone as colorful spheres formed around the two Amparos as they mega evolved.
"What he can mega evolve his pokemon too?" Brock said.
"Yeah it's a long story." Ash said. He touched his Mega evolution stone on his Charizard Mega evolved. Charizard Y flew over and faced one of the Mega Ampharos while Pikachu faced the other.
Serena touched her own Mega evolution stone and Absol mega evolved. After doing so Serena let out Charla and Nidoran.
"Come on we need to help Ash." Serena said. The 4 were about to reach him when the two new officers got between them and Ash.
"Going somewhere." Cassidy said.
"Alright Cassidy and Botch, I'm not going to let you stop us." Serena said.
"It's Butch!" Butch shouted.
"Little twerp we'll teach you some respect, Go Raticate and Granbull!" Cassidy shouted as her giant rat and purple bull dog pokemon came out.
"Go Primape and Hitmontop!" Butch said. Butch's Pokemon came out and stood in front of him.
"We can take them, it won't be easy but we can do it." Serena said. Brock saw the remaining 6 grunts approaching the officers and new he would have to keep them busy to give Ash and Serena a chance.
"Go Geodude!" Brock shouted. His other rock type came out and stood beside him.
"Looks like those grunts have mostly Zubat, this should give us the advantage." Brock said. The wild Zubat flew between Brock's pokemon.
"You want to help too Zubat?" Brock asked.
"Zu!" it shouted.
"Alright let's go!" Brock shouted.
"Primape use Dynamic punch on that Absol, Hitmontop use Rolling Kick!" Butch shouted.
"Granbull use Fire fang on that Nidoran, Raticate use Super fang on the Charmander!" Cassidy shouted.
"Absol use Rock tomb into Night slash! Charla growl then knock her down with Scratch and follow up with Flamethrower! Nidoran use Poison sting into Furry swipes!". Serena shouted.
Mega Absol hurled a barrage or rocks at Hitmontop and Primape. Making them dive away to avoid being hit. Moments later Mega Absol leapt forward and slashed Primape across the chest with Night slash, knocking him out.
Before the Hitmontop could even react, mega Absol rushed over and slashed him with Night Slash.
At the same time Raticate leapt at Charla with his jaws open. Charla let out a loud growl that reduced the power behind the Raticate's attack. After doing so Charla slashed her claws across Raticate's face, knocking him to the ground.
As soon as the Raticate opened her eyes she saw Charla open her mouth enfold her in fire. When the flames ended the Raticate was unconscious and covered in charred fur.
Meanwhile Nidoran opened her mouth and blasted the Granbull with Poison sting , hitting him right in the stomach. As the Granbull fell back onto the ground Nidoran slashed Granbull across the face, knocking her out.
"Aww" Butch said.
"Come on Butch let's gut her!" Cassidy said as she pulled out her combat knife.
"It's Biff wait no I mean , dam it!" Butch said as he pulled his knife out. The two ran past Serena's pokemon and at her. Serena lurched away as Cassidy hurled her knife at her. After doing so Serena grabbed Cassidy's wrist with her right hand and forced her left elbow into Cassidy's shoulder joint, forcing her into an arm bar.
"Ahh Biff help!" Cassidy shouted as she dropped her knife.
"It's Butch!" He screamed as he ran at them. Serena threw Cassidy into Butch , knocking them both to the ground.
"Ouch, get off me!" Butch said.
The two tried to get up , but Serena delivered a powerful kick to their heads forcing them back to the ground.
Meanwhile Ash was in a struggle with Electric Earl he held the rocket officer's electric knives attached to his armor with his hidden blades.
Earl heard his junior officers grunt and turned to see them laying on the ground in front of Serena.
"Aggh, Cassidy! Biff! You two are useless!" Earl screamed.
"It's Butch!".
Pikachu used his Speed and Agility to avoid the Mega Ampharos's Fire Punch. Then came forward and smashed his Iron tail into its right leg. The Mega Ampharos grunted before it connected its other fiery fist into Pikachu, hurling him back.
As Pikachu landed on his feet, the Mega Ampharos unleashed a powerful Dragon Pulse that tore through the rocky ground as it flew at Pikachu. Pikachu used his Agility to narrowly avoid the incoming Dragon Pulse before slamming his iron tail into the Ampharos's other leg.
The Ampharos grunted again before hitting Pikachu with another Fire Punch.
"Chu." Pikachu grunted as he landed on his feet.
"Phos The Mega Ampharos roared as he unleashed a massive Zap Cannon. PIkachu charged forward and managed to move directly under the Zap cannon just in time. Once Pikachu was close enough, he leapt forward and slammed right into he Mega Ampharos's stomach, making it stumble backwards.
Meanwhile Mega Charizard Y was flying through the air avoiding the other Mega Ampharos's electric attacks before fling in and snatching him up in his arms. Charizard Y flew through the air before hurling the Mega Ampharos into the ground and into the other Mega Ampharos.
Once the two Ampharos were together, Charizard Y opened his mouth and blasted them both with a massive Dragon Pulse at the same time Pikachu blasted them with a Thunder. When the two attacks ended, the two Mega Ampharos had reverted back to normal form and lay on the ground unconscious.
Earl used his cybernetic armor implants and exoskeleton to try and force his electrified knives closer to Ash.
Ash kicked Earl in the calf, forcing him to lurch back a little. Ash finally saw an opening and forced his right hidden blade forward while holding Earl's knives in place with his left blade. Ash's right hidden blade tore into Earl's armor , tearing a part off.
"Grrr!" Earl grunted as he swung both knives at Ash. Ash ducked down under Earl's arms, knocking trying to block his exoskeleton with his forearm would be too risky. He then came forward and jabbed his left hidden blade into the side of Earl's armor, tearing another part off.
"Stop that!" Earl shouted.
He tried to force his shoulders forward into Ash, but Ash moved to the side and forced his foot in front of Earl's before locking his left arm into an arm bar using his hidden blades to tear another part of Earl's armor off.
Earl's armor began to malfunction and he stumbled away from Ash.
"Dam you boy! This armor is expensive!" Earl shouted. Earl turned and saw his 6 grunts Zubats' getting knocked out by Brock's pokemon.
"Uhhh, I'm surrounded by imbeciles!" Earl shouted.
"Move in!" Another voice shouted. Earl looked up at the cave entrance and saw several soldiers running in. With the soldiers were a Charizard, Nidoking, and Blastoise.
"The army fall back!" Earl shouted as he rushed out of the camp.
"Wait for us!" Cassidy and Butch shouted as they ran after him. Several of the grunts tried to run , but the soldiers quickly rounded them up.
One of the soldiers approached Ash and Serena.
"Who are you , what are you doing here?" The soldier asked.
"We were passing through the mountain when we came across this camp." Ash said.
"This is a team rocket operation. You could have gotten yourselves killed." The soldier said. Another soldier approached them.
"Lieutenant, the medic said the prisoners are unharmed."
"Good Sergeant, get those grunts out of here.". Brock was still by the prisoners and helped the soldiers set them free.
"Finally, those ropes were killing my arms." Officer Jenny said as she got up. As soon as she did, she saw Brock kneel down in front of her and took her hand.
"Love is in the air beautiful woman. Can you not feel it, I certainly can." Brock said as his face turned red.
Officer Jenny backed up away from Brock, a bit creeped out.
"So what was team rocket doing down here anyway?" The Lieutenant asked.
"They were collecting fossils." Ash said.
"He's right sir, these crates are full of them." Another soldier said.
"Interesting, Corporal get the freed prisoners out of here and these crates of fossils back to base. General Therol will decide what do do with them. You kids should get out of here. We have work to do." The Lieutenant said.
Ash and Serena walked over to Brock on the other side of the camp.
"We should get going." Ash said.
"Right." Brock said. As they walked out of the camp they noticed a few fossils blocking their path. Hey look, team rocket missed a few fossils." Serena said. One of the fossils had a shell embedded in it. Another had what looked like a dome on it. While the last look like fossilized amber with blood inside it.
"Huh, it seems ashamed to just leave them here. I mean fossils can be revived like our Tyrantrum and Auroros." Ash said.
"We could! It would be nice to have another dinosaur pokemon." Serena said.
"Dinosaur pokemon! That sounds amazing, I'd love to have one too!" Brock said.
"Well there's one for each of us. Which one do you guys want?" Ash asked.
"I want the amber fossil!" Brock said as he quickly picked it up.
"Alright I guess I'll take the shell fossil." Serena said as she picked up the second fossil.
"I guess I'll take the dome." Ash said as he picked it up.
"Looks like the path is clear, let's keep moving." Ash said. The group continued down the path until they saw light at the end of the tunnel.
"Look sunlight!" Serena said excited. They exited the tunnel and saw a grassy area with bushes and trees around them.
"Alright we're back on route 3!" Ash said.
"Ceruleon city should be just a day or two's walk from here." Brock said.
"Zu!" The group heard behind them. Brock turned to see the same Zubat flying out of the cave towards him.
"Zubat what are you doing here?" Brock asked.
"Zu , Zubat" He said. Ash could feel the Zubat's aura feeling very friendly towards Brock.
"Brock I think he likes you." Ash said.
"Really, you want to stay with me." Brock said.
"Zu!" Zutat said nodding.
"Well alright, I was hoping I could catch a Zubat." Brock said as he took out a pokeball and touched it to Zubat, sending him inside.
"Alright I caught a Zubat!" Brock shouted.
Hours later elsewhere in Kanto, the door opened to a large office and 3 people walked in. The three people were Electric Earl, Cassidy, and Butch.
They walked up to the desk in the center of the room. Sitting on the other side of the desk was a large chair, with a man in an orange suit sitting in it as he faced away from the people in front of his desk.
"Boss, I'm afraid we have to report our operation was a failure." Cassidy said nervously.
"I alright know of the missions failure, Earl already informed me of exactly what happened Cassidy and Brol" The man in the chair said.
"It's Butch!" Butch shouted. Earl stepped forward and snatched Butch by the throat and lifted him up into the air.
"Show respect for the boss!" He shouted as she choked Butch.
"I'm sorry!" Butch said as he choked.
"Release him Earl." The man in the chair said. Earl dropped Butch as he tried to catch his breath.
"I had high hopes for you two, but your incompetence at Mt. Moon is very disappointing." The man said.
"But that's not fair, Earl was in charge and he failed too." Cassidy said.
"Earl was defeated by an aura guardian, you were defeated by some girl he is traveling with. One that Jessie and James had no problem defeating in Viridian city." The man said.
"But they failed too." Cassidy said.
"Weren't you idiots listening, we failed the same way as Earl." Jessie said as she, James and Meowth stepped out from behind them.
"You!" Cassidy said.
"They may have failed in Viridian city, but they have just returned from a very successful mission in Saffron city. Thanks to these three fine officers we are one step closer to our final plan for Saffron city. Which is why they have earned a special reward." The man said as Seir revealed himself beside him.
Seir placed two pokeballs on the desk and a box beside them. James opened the box and smiled even bigger.
"Thank you boss, you are too kind." James said as he took one of the pokeballs and handed the other to Jessie.
"Keep up the good work you two, you're needed elsewhere." The man said.
"Don't you worry boss, we've got it down." Meowth said before he walked out of the room with the others.
"Earl repair your armor, I will inform you on your next assignment." The man said as Earl walked out.
" As for you two fools, it appears you need more guidance than I thought. Report to Duncan the Dragon immediately."
"Yes boss, we won't fail you again." Cassidy said.
"You had best not." The man said as the two junior officers rushed out of the room.
"Good help is so hard to come by these days Seir. Our plans for Saffron are close to completion. But there is something else we need. You know what it is, and I'm counting on you to recover it." The man said.
Seir nodded before walking out of the room.
The man brought his fingers together as he stared out his window.
"Red Ketchum has been a thorn in my side for years, now both Ketchum boys are interfering in my plans. I wonder if that means Delia is back." The man said as he smiled.

Yup Cassidy and Butch are in this story and the Butch name gag will continue.
As you may have seen by now whenever the group runs into a major rocket operation there will be a different officer there. It won't be Jessie and James over and Over again. I like to mix it up with different ones.
