Ch 7: A lesson to be learned
It was early in the morning on route 3 and the group was already up training their pokemon.
"Charla use Flamethrower! Nidoran dodge and use Furry swipes!" Serena shouted.
"Char!" Charla shouted as she unleashed a jet of fire at Nidoran. The Poison pokemon dove to the side , narrowly avoiding the jet of fire. After doing so she sprinted at Charla.
"Charla use Growl into Scratch!" Serena shouted. Charla growled at Nidoran, reducing her power. When Nidoran reached Charla, she tried to use furry swipes, but Charla used her own scratch to bat Nidoran's claws away each time she tied to swipe her.
"Nice work you two. I think you're finally ready to start working on performance routines." Serena said
"Char!".
"Ni!" Charla and Nidoran said sounding excited. Ash was training with his pokemon when he heard what Serena said.
"Hey guys how about we take a break." Ash said. He liked to watch Serena practice her routines, so did Charizard and Pikachu.
Brock was with his new Zubat tending to the injuries he sustained from their fight with team rocket the previous day.
"There your wing should be better now." Brock said. That was when Brock noticed Serena had Charla and her Nidoran standing in front of Absol.
"Oh she's practicing her performance. This should be nice." Brock said.
"Alright Watch Absol closely. Absol show them what you've got" Serena said. Absol used rock tomb in the air before leaping up and slashing them into half rocks with Night Slash. After doing so he made a dozen copies of himself that each leapt onto a different rock.
Once each was on a rock, each used Swords danced making each rock light up with Blue energy around them. On the ground the real Absol unleashed a powered up Rock tomb into the air. The rocks hit and smashed the glowing rocks into pieces. As a result the glowing pebbles fell to the ground all around Absol.
Moments later the Absol copies also landed beside the real Absol.
"Char!".
"Ni!" Charla and Nidoran said as their eyes lit up when they saw Absol's performance. Ash, Brock, and all their pokemon were just as amazed by Absol's performance.
"That was incredible." Brock said.
"Absol is as skilled as always." Ash said.
"Alright let's start with something simple. Charla I want you to use Scratch on the ground and dance in a circle. Nidoran use Poison sting right above you." Serena said. Charla sunk her right claws into the ground and slid them across the ground in a circle, making a cloud of dust around her.
At the same time Nidoran opened her mouth and let out a barrage of stingers into the air.
"Charla use Flamethrower on the dust. Nidoran use Scratch on the poison needles!" Serena shouted.
Nidoran leapt up and scratched several of the needles, making them fall into colorful pieces around him. However, one of the needles was knocked aside into Charla's foot.
"Char!" Charla yelped in pain as she stumbled backwards. As this happened, her flamethrower flew off course and hit Nidoran's behind.
"Ni!" Nidoran cried out as she jumped forward.
"Oh no." Serena said sweat dropping. Charla and Nidoran growled at each other with their faces very close to each other.
"Charla, Nidoran calm down. It was just some accidents, there's no need to." Serena started before Nidoran and Charla began attacking each other.
"No! Stop it!" Serena shouted.
"Charla, Nidoran stop fighting!" Ash shouted.
"Come on guys!" Brock shouted.
"PIka Pikachu!".
"Char!" Charla shouted as she unleashed a flamethrower right at Nidoran. The small poison pokemon jumped out of the way as the fire continued on and hit Serena.
"Serena!" Ash and Brock shouted.
"Pika!". Charla and Nidoran turned to their trainer and sweat dropped.
"Sol!" Absol said as he stood over Serena.
"Ouch." Serena said with soot all over her. Ash , Pikachu, and Brock ran over to Serena. Ash knelt down and put his arm under her head.
"Serena are you ok?" He asked.
"No." She said before he helped her up to her feet. Charla felt very guilty about what she had just done to her trainer.
"Ni!" Nidoran shouted at Charla, blaming her for hurting Serena.
"Char!" Charla shouted back saying it was her fault. The two were about to fight again when Charizard picked them both up and held them in the air in front of his face.
"Grauu!" He roared ordering them to stop their bickering.
"Char." Charla said as her face turned red, feeling very embarrassed in front of Charizard. Ash laid Serena against a tree while he did his best to heal her burn marks with his aura.
"Alright, that should take care of your burn marks. But you will probably be sore for a while." Ash said.
"Thank you baby." Serena said as she gave him a short kiss. The two got up as Charla and Nidoran sat in front of Charizard, Absol , and PIkachu.
"Alright you two, I don't want that to happen again. You are both members of this family and you need to get along. Accidents like that can happen" Serena said. Absol personally remembered the first time he and Delphox practiced, then sweat dropped.
"You have to learn to work together, especially since some showcases will require performances by two pokemon. Now the best way to do this is more practice." Serena said.
Serena and the group found another clearing where she and Absol stood in front of her other pokemon.
"Let's try again, Charla spin around and use Flamethrower. Nidoran use Double kick on the ground." Charla spun around as she unleashed a jet of fire around her. At the same Nidoran smashed her feet into the ground, causing a few rocks to get knocked up and over her.
"Charla use Scratch on the fire. Nidoran use Fury swipes on the rocks!" Serena shouted. Charla began slashing the fire making it move out around her. At the same time Nidoran slashed each of the rocks, hurling them away from her.
One of the rocks landed under Charla's foot as she stepped down on it and tripped. As a result the fire she slashed flew out and hit Nidoran in the face.
"Great." Serena said.
"Char." Charla growled at Nidoran.
"Ni." Nidoran growled at Charla.
"Guys calm down!" Serena said as she raised her hands up.
"Ni!" Nidoran shouted as she unleashed a Poison sting at Charla. Charla ducked down narrowly avoiding the stingers before opening her mouth an unleashing another Flamethrower. Nidoran ducked down as the Flamethrower flew past her.
"Serena!" Ash shouted as he sprinted over and tried to move her out of the way. He moved Serena out of the way, but was enveloped in the fire.
"Ash!" Serena shouted.
"Pika!".
"Grauu!".
"Ouch." Ash said covered in soot.
"Are you ok?" Brock asked.
"I've been through worse." Ash said. Nidoran and Charla sweat dropped as Pikachu and Charizard both glared at them.
"I'm sorry Ash." Serena said.
"It's alright." Ash said before Serena wiped the soot off his face and kissed him. For the next few hours, Serena kept trying to train Nidoran and Charla in performance.
After 3 hours they had made little progress.
Serena sat against a tree with her hands on her face. Ash was sitting beside her as Brock took a look at Charla and Nidoran.
"Three hours of training, and we're made almost no progress." Serena said.
"It will be alright Serena. I mean they're still very young. Remember, when your other pokemon started performing , they had already been trained for years." Ash said.
"I suppose you have a point. I guess it's been a while since I've had a young pokemon. Maybe they just need time." Serena said.
"Alright you two seem fine, just try to stay calm if things don't go right." Brock said. Charla, and Nidoran both felt very discouraged. They had been practicing for hours, and made little progress.
"Char."
"Ni."
Nidoran lay on the ground staring ahead when she saw a Nidorino walking into a group of trees.
"NI!" Nidoran said as her eyes turned to hearts and she ran after him. Charla saw this and got up.
"Char , Charmander!" She shouted telling Nidoran to come back. Charla got up and ran after her.
A few minutes later Serena got up.
"Alright guys, we can do this. We just need more." Serena started before she saw Charla and Nidoran were gone.
"Charla? Nidoran? Where are you guys?" She called out.
"Charla!" Ash shouted.
"Nidoran!" Brock shouted.
"Pika!". Pikachu shouted.
Elsewhere Nidoran was still following the Nidorino.
"Ni!". Nidoran said.
"Char!" Charla shouted as she caught up with Nidoran and grabbed her.
"Char!" Charla shouted scolding Nidoran for running off.
"Ni!" Nidoran argued saying she ran off too.
"Char Charmander!" Charla shouted saying she was going after her.
"Ni!" Nidoran shouted saying she was going after the man of her dreams.
"Char Charmander!" Charla shouted saying she was just drooling over an evolved form of herself.
"Ni!" Nidoran shouted back bringing up Ash's Charizard.
"Char." Charla said a she sweat dropped.
"Raa." The two heard before turning to see the Nidorino standing in front of them.
"Ni." Nidoran said as she blushed and tried to talk to him.
"Raa." The Nidoran said. Charla turned to see another 2 Nidoran come around them.
"Char." She said nervously.
"Ni!" Nidoran shouted very excited.
"Char." Charla said sweat dropping. Moments later Charla and Nidoran heard someone else step up behind them. They turned around and saw a human standing over them.
"Well look what we have here."
"Char."
"Ni." Both said sounding very nervous.
"Charla! Nidoran!" Serena shouted.
"Alright, they're not here. We'll need to split up and search the area." Ash said as he let out Pidgeotto and Butterfree.
"Alright I need you guys to fly around the area and look for Charla and Nidoran." Ash said.
"Ott."
"Free."
"Grauu". Charizard, Butterfree, and Pidgeotto leapt up into the air and began searching the area for Serena's pokemon.
"Alright we should split up. We'll cover more ground." Brock said. Ash could see and feel or worried Serena was for her pokemon. He walked over to her and put his hands on her shoulders.
"Serena it's going to be alright. We'll find them." Ash said.
"I hope so." Serena said. Brock went in one direction while each of his pokemon went in another. Pikachu and Absol went back from where they had come while Ash went to the west , leaving Serena to go east.
As Serena searched route 4 she continued to call out for her pokemon.
"Charla! Nidoran!" She shouted. Almost twenty minutes passed and she was still searching. Serena was starting to wonder if this was her fault. What if her pokemon had run away because of how bad the were feeling after their training secession.
She had tried to encourage them the best she could, but she saw just how down they looked after they stopped training. No matter what she did, they kept messing up and hurting each other. Had it really been so long since she had trained a younger pokemon.
She lowered her head towards the ground and sighed.
"Is this my fault? Am I really that bad at training young pokemon?" She asked herself. Moments later she heard rustling in a bush near her.
"Huh?" Serena said as she turned to the bush.
"Charla? Nidoran is that you?" She asked. Not a moment later a rocket grunt ran out of the bush with an electric baton in hand.
Serena's eyes widened as she lurched back when the grunt swung his electric baton at her. After the baton passed her, Serena kicked her foot into the grunt's calf, making him bend his stomach back.
Serena then delivered a powerful kick to his face, knocking the grunt onto his back.
Moments later another two grunts stepped out with a pair of Nidorino beside them. Serena reached for her pokeball belt, but realized that she didn't have any with her.
"Oh no." Serena said.
"Looks like we got us a feisty one." The left grunt said.
"We'll teach you some manners." The other grunt said as she raised her electric baton. Just before either grunt should step forward, someone leapt out of the tree above them and slammed them onto the ground, forcing her palms into the back of their necks.
At the same time a Mega Blaziken leapt out of the tree and slammed his flaming fists into both Nidorino.
The girl got up and was wearing a customized red and yellow aura guardian attire. She had a hood up and a cloth over her mouth. She had short sleeves with a portion of her arms showing and removable sleeves on her forearms up to her hidden blade holders. She tore a red and yellow top with a portion of her stomach showing and short pants with a skirt like portion over the back and sides.
Despite the hood , Serena could see the girl had red eyes and red hair.
The girl also looked like she was about Korrina's age.
She looked up at Serena and walked over to her.
"Are you ok?" She asked.
"Yes. You you're an aura guardian." Serena said.
"An aura what now?" The girl said as she sweat dropped.
"It's alright, I know about your brotherhood. My boyfriend is an aura guardian, so is his brother and his girlfriend." Serena said.
"Oh, alright then.".
"My name is Serena."
"Nice to meet you, my name is Elle."
"So what brings an aura guardian out here?" Serena asked.
"Well I was on my way to Cerulean city when I came across a few rocket grunts rounding up wild pokemon. So I figured it was my duty as a guardian to stop them. I've been combing the area for an hour now trying to find their ringleaders." Elle said.
"Wait a minute. Team rocket is rounding up pokemon, then that means." Serena said realizing what probably happened.
"Oh no!" She shouted.
"Woah, is everything alright?" Elle asked.
"No, I've been looking for my Charmander and Nidoran for a while now and I realized that Team rocket probably has them." Serena said as a tear came out of her right eye.
"Ok just calm down. We're going to get them back, I promise." Elle said. Serena told herself to get a grip and stay focused. If she wanted to help her pokemon she would need to be ready to.
"You're right. Let's go find them." Serena said. The two continued down the trail as Elle used her aura vision to try and find more rocket grunts.
"I call tell from your accent that you're from Kalos." Elle said.
"I am, born in Lumoise city." Serena said.
"I'm from Kalos too, born in Shalour city." Elle said.
"So what brought you to Kanto?" Serena asked.
"Well I'm not a full time guardian. I came here because of what I do outside the brotherhood. What brings you to Kanto?" Elle asked.
"My boyfriend is competing in the Indigo league, also I'm competing in pokemon showcase." Serena said.
"Really, how many have you competed in yet?" Elle asked.
"None actually, I have performed many times in shows back in Kalos. But never in a competition." Serena said.
"You know I can tell from your aura that something is bothering you besides your missing pokemon." Elle said.
Serena sighed.
"I've spend half the day trying to train two of my pokemon how to perform, but I haven't made any progress. I just don't get it, I've trained my pokemon to perform before and I've trained them together before." Serena said.
To Serena's complete surprise Elle just started laughing hard. Serena sweat dropped taking some offense.
"Wow deejay. Let me guess, one messed something up, hurt the other one. Then the first one launched an attack and hit you instead." Elle said.
"Yes." Serena said.
"It sounds exactly like my first training session with my Fenniken and Torchick." Elle said.
"Wait you're a performer?" Serena asked.
"Yes I am. In fact, can you keep a secret?" Elle asked.
"Yes." Serena said. Elle lowered her hood and removed the cloth from her mouth. Serena's eyes widened when she saw that Elle was none other than Aria the Kalos queen.
"You! You're Aria the Kalos queen!" Serena shouted.
"I guess you've heard of me. " Elle said.
"That's right Korrina said you were an aura guardian." Serena said.
"Korrina, you know Korrina." Elle said.
"Yes she's my boyfriend's brother's girlfriend." Serena said.
"Your boyfriend is Red's brother, so that means he's Ash. Wait yes I remember them talking about you too." Elle said.
"So if you're pretty famous do you just call yourself Elle to not attract unwanted attention from people?" Serena asked.
"Actually Aria the Kalos Queen is just my stage name. Elle actually is my real name."
"Korrina didn't tell me that." Serena said.
"That's because I asked her not to tell people about my real name." Elle asked.
"I guess that makes since." Serena said.
"So anyway like I was saying, I started performing with my pokemon when they were very young and from the way you tell me your training went it sounds like it went just the same as mine.".
"But it went so smoothly with my other pokemon when I started with them." Serena said.
"That's because your other pokemon already had years of experience in battling and training. How long have you been training your two pokemon?" Elle asked.
Serena sweat dropped.
"You have nothing to worry about Serena. Just give it time and your pokemon will be able to perform fine." Elle said.
Serena began to realize Elle was right, maybe she did have too high expectations for her fist day of performance training. Her other pokemon had plenty of training and experience before she trained them in performing.
"Now let's go find your pokemon." Elle said.
Several minutes later a pair of rocket grunts with 2 Nidorino lead a group of Ekans, Sandshrew, Rattata, Raticate, and Mankey, to a makeshift camp, where several other grunts were loading pokemon into cages.
"Sir, Ma'am we have another group." One of the grunts said,.
"Excellent, let's start loading them. Duncan wants as many pokemon as we can get, with this head start well get to him with a boatload and then he'll" One of the officers started before a Mega Blaziken leapt down from the trees and smashed his flaming fists into the two Nidorino, knocking them out. At the same time Elle leapt down from the same tree with her hood and mouth cloth back up. She slammed her fists into the back of the 2 grunts' necks, knocking them out.
"What the!" A grunt shouted before Serena came out from a bush and slammed her knee in between his legs. The grunt bent over with his head hung out in front of him before Serena slammed her other knee into the man's face, knocking him onto the ground.
"Run!" Elle shouted as the wild pokemon ran away from the camp.
Serena and Elle saw the two officers standing in the center of the camp were none other than Cassidy and Butch.
"It's you two! Cassidy and Bill!" Serena shouted.
"It's Butch!".
"You two must be new officers, I've never heard of Cassidy or Butch before." Elle said.
Serena saw over a dozen pokemon in the camp locked in cages. In front of the two junior officers was a cage with Charla and Nidoran inside.
"Charla! Nidoran!" Serena shouted.
"Char!".
"Ni!" They shouted.
"So these are your pokemon, that makes it so much better." Cassidy said.
"Looks like we got our revenge" Butch said.
"Don't yell at him, he'll make something bad happen to us." Cassidy said as she smacked the back of his head.
"Let them all go!" Elle shouted.
"Never! Get them!" Cassidy shouted. The remaining 3 grunts and their Nidorino ran at Elle and Serena.
"Flare Blitz!" Elle shouted. He mega Blaziken covered himself in fire and charged forward, smashing into the 3 Nidorino's, knocking them out.
As two of the grunts rushed at Elle she came forward and used her hidden blades to cut their electric batons in half. She then hurled her right elbow across the face of the left grunt before smashing her right foot into the other grunt's face. As the two men fell backwards the last grunt came at Serena with her electric baton held up.
Serena ducked down as the baton flew over her, then came up and grabbed the woman by her arm. She twisted it back against it's joint before hurling her knee into the grunt's face, knocking her out.
Cassidy and Butch backed up a but as Serena and Elle turned to them. The two junior officers took out their pistols only to have Elle knock the guns out of their hands with a burst of aura.
"It's over." Elle said.
"It's a good thing we have more than just the grunts." Cassidy said. Moments later two large men stepped out from behind the officers , looking like they had come from no where. The man wore black military like uniforms with padded leather kevlar armor around them. In the center of their chest kevlar was a large blue R . They wore black caps with black cloth over their mouths.
"Sentinels, kill them." Butch said. Instead of drawing guns, the two men reached behind their backs and drew swords.
"Swords?" Serena said.
"Well guns clearly weren't working on us." Elle said sweat dropping. Both rocket sentinels ran at Elle with their swords raised. Elle took a deep breath and unleashed an aura sphere that burst in front of the men, knocking them to the ground.
Just as fast as they were knocked down, the sentinels got right back up and took out a pokeball from their belts and each sent out a Rhydon.
The two Rhydon charged at Mega Blaziken as the two rocket sentinels reached Elle. She lunched forward with her hidden blades only to have the two sentinels block her strikes and force her back. Elle tried focusing both her hidden blades at the right sentinel, but once again the man blocked her strikes with his sword and pushed her back.
Both sentinels lunged at Elle with their swords, while Elle was able to block them, the sentinel to her right punched Elle in the face before the other sentinel delivered a powerful kick to her stomach. Elle was knocked back but using her agility did a backflip and got back in an aggressive stance.
Meanwhile the first Rhydon charged in with Bulldoze and Mega Blaziken Smashed him with High Jump kick, hurling the rock pokemon back. As he did the second Rhydon came at him from the side. Mega Blaziken turned and grabbed the Rhydon's arms and held him in place, moments later the second Rhydon also came at him. Mega Blaziken saw this and brought his other arm up , catching the second Rhydon.
Meanwhile Serena saw her pokemon still being held by Cassidy and Butch.
"Wow those sentinels are skilled aren't they." Cassidy said.
"Char.".
"Ni." Serena's pokemon said sounding scared. Serena let go of all her fear and ran right at the rocket officers.
"She's coming!" Butch shouted as he and Cassidy pulled out their combat knives. Cassidy lunged at Serena only to have Serena kick Cassidy's arm and maker her drop her knife. Butch swung his knife at Serena only to have Serena catch his arm and put him in an arm bar.
"Cassidy help!".
"I'm coming!".
Cassidy ran at Serena only to have Serena kick her calf. As Cassidy lurched back, Serena hurled Butch onto her.
"Butch get off me."
As the two rocket officers tried to get up, Serena took the key off Butch's belt and quickly opened the cage.
"Char!."
"Ni!" Serena's pokemon shouted as they rushed out of the cage and into her arms.
"Oh I'm so happy you two are safe." Serena said. Moments later the two junior officers let our their pokemon.
"Go!". They shouted as their Raticate and Primape came out.
"Don't think we'll be beaten so easily this time." Cassidy said. Serena let Charla and Nidoran down.
"I know you guys had trouble training today but let's forget about that and focus on the here and now." Serena said.
"Char!".
"Ni!".
"Radicate use Skull bash!".
"Primeape use Thrash!".
"Charla use Flamethrower. Nidoran use Poison sting!" Serena shouted.
"Char!". Charla shouted as she unleashed a powerful jet of fire at Primape. At the same time Nidoran opened her mouth and unleashed a barrage of poison stingers.
Just before the stingers could hit, Radicate leapt up and over them at the same time Primape lunged to the side and away from the fire.
"Charla use Growl with Scratch to knock his arms away. Nidoran use Double kick to knock him away." Serena said.
Charla growled at Primeape, reducing his power. However, when she lurched back away from his first strike and prepared to use scratch, Primeape came in with a relentless furry of strikes across Charla's body.
At the same time Nidoran tried to kick Raticate, only to have Raticate snatch her foot in with Super fang. After doing so the Raticate hurled Nidoran back before hitting her with Skull Bash.
"Nidoran! Charla!" Serena shouted.
"Ha we're winning!" Butch shouted.
Charla and Nidoran felt depressed again, they were letting Serena down again. Serena could see this and got frantic, she had to life their spirits and change her strategy or they would never win. That is when she had an idea.
"That's it."
"Thrash!".
"Super Fang!".
"Charla scratch on the ground into flamethrower! Nidoran Poison sting into the air then use scratch." Serena shouted.
Charla focused and scratched her claw across the ground as she spun around, making a ring of dust around her. Once she did Charla lit up the dust with fire. Primeape was hit by the fire at the same time the dust became sparkly and got into his eyes.
"Aa" Primeape said as he stumbled backwards.
"What the?" Butch said.
At the same time Nidoran unleashed Poison stingers into the air then leapt up and slashed them into smaller pieces, that slowly fell down in around her. As Raticate opened his mouth to use Super fang, the cut stingers fell around in into Raticate's mouth.
"Caa!" he shrieked as the poison went down his throat.
"What did she just do?" Cassidy asked.
Charla and Nidoran were very surprised at how well their moves turned out.
"Grr. Raticate use Skull Bash!".
"Dynamic Punch!".
"Charla spin around and use Flamethrower, then slash it! Nidoran Double kick on the ground then Furry swipe the rocks!" Serena shouted.
Charla spun around and unleashed Flamethrower around her before slashing the fire with her claws, sending streaks of fire into Primeape, knocking him off balance and sending him tumbling across the ground.
At the same time Nidoran smashed the ground sending several rocks into the air. Nidoran leapt up and slashed them towards the ground, hitting Raticate and forcing him back into the ground before a tumbling Primeape crashed into him.
"How is she doing this!?" Cassidy asked.
"Now for the show stopper Nidoran double kick to extend Charla's reach. Charla once in the air use Flamethrower!" Serena shouted. Charla ran forward and leapt over Nidoran as the poison Pokemon used her legs to kick off of Charla's forcing her up into he air. Charla did a front flip before blasting Cassidy and Butch's Pokemon with fire.
"Oh no!" Cassidy shouted. Their pokemon were now unconscious as Charla landed in front of Serena.
"Wow you guys were amazing." Serena said. Charla and Nidoran were also impressed with how they were able to perform.
"Well, you're guardian friend is still finished." Butch said. Serena turned back to see Elle deliver a powerful kick to the right sentinel's calf and smashing her elbow into the other sentinel's hip, knocking the men back.
That was when Serena noticed one of the rocket grunts had gotten back up and was coming up behind Elle.
"Elle look out!" Serena shouted. Elle turned just in time to see the the grunt smash his electric baton into her. Elle fell to one knee as electricity filled her body. One of the sentinels smashed the hilt of his sword into Elle's face and the other sentinel kicked her side, knocking her to the ground.
"Oh no!" Serena shouted.
"Ha!" Cassidy shouted. One of the sentinels grabbed Elle by her shoulder and raised his sword to her throat.
"Kin!" Blaziken shouted as he saw this.
"NO!" Serena shouted. Just before the sentinel could stab his sword into Elle's throat, none other than Ash leapt out of the tree above them and slammed the sentinel into the ground as he thrusted his right hidden blade into the man's throat.
"Ash!" Serena shouted.
Mustering her aura, Elle's strength returned to her. She grabbed the grunts's head and slammed her knee into his face. As the other sentinel thrusted his sword at Elle, she blocked it with her left hidden blade then slammed her foot into the man's calf. As his stance was broken, Elle slammed her fist into his face at the same time she brought her left hidden blade across the man's sword hand then slashed him across the face with both hidden blades.
Moments later Pikachu leapt out of the same tree and slammed one of the Rhydon on top of his head with Iron tail, knocking the Rhydon out. With one Rhydon off him, Mega Blaziken smashed the other Rhydon across the face with Sky uppercut, knocking him out.
Ash got up as Pikachu ran over beside him.
"Cassidy, Biff. You decided to come back." Ash said.
"It's Butch!".
"Forget it run!" Cassidy shouted as she ran off.
"Wait for me!" Butch shouted.
"Well you picked a fine time to arrive." Serena said.
"Sorry, route 4 is pretty big." Ash said before turning o Elle.
"Are you ok?" He asked.
"I am now, you must be Ash Ketchum. Glad to see another aura guardian here." Elle said. Several minutes later they met up with Brock.
"Thank you again for helping Serena." Ash said.
"It's me who should be thanking you Ash, you saved my life. You should probably know who I am." Elle said as she lowered her hood and cloth.
"Uh." Ash said having never seen her before.
"Ash hasn't heard about you." Serena said.
"Oh." Elle said sweat dropping.
"By all that is holy, Aria the Kalos Queen!" Brock shouted as his face turned red and he ran over to her before kneeling and taking her hand.
"Love has brought us both here beautiful Aria. I will be eternally faithful to you." Brock said. Elle sweat dropped.
"Sorry , but I'm married." Elle said.
"Married?" Serena said.
Brock's face turned crestfallen.
"Oh why does this always happen!" Brock shouted as he held his head. That was when Serena noticed a ring on Elle's finger.
"You're married?" Serena asked.
"Yes, my husband's a guardian too. He's actually waiting for me in Cerulean city." Elle said.
"Well thank you again for helping me rescue my pokemon." Serena said.
"Well I'm glad you're pokemon finally found their grove. Good luck at the showcase in Cerulean city." Elle said.
"Wait there's a showcase in Cerulean city?" Serena said.
"Yes, I thought you knew. It's happening in a few days, I won't be competing I've actually be asked to be one of the guest judges. Good luck." Elle said before she raised her hood and cloth before walking off with her Blaziken beside her.
"I still can't believe I got to meet Aria the Kalos queen." Serena said.
"Ok can you guys explain who she is again." Ash said. Brock and Serena sweat dropped.
Elsewhere a team rocket officer stood with a pair of sentinels in front of him.
"Where the hell are those imbeciles. They were suppose to be here hours ago." One of the sentinels saw two people approach the officer and pointed at them.
The officer turned and saw Cassidy and Butch.
"Duncan the Dragon sir." Cassidy said.
"Cassidy, Beck you're late!" Duncan shouted.
"It's Butch!". Duncan turned to Butch and grabbed him by the throat.
"Does it look like I care?" Duncan said as he moved his head closer and revealed his fangs and scratched his claws across the back of Butch's neck.
"No sir!" Butch said.
"Where have you two been? And where are you're men, you have several grunts and 2 sentinels with you?" Duncan asked.
"Uh well here's the thing sir. You know how you said we're planning on building a small army of pokemon for our plan. Well we thought we'd get a head start and started rounding up wild pokemon. Unfortunately we ran into a problem." Butch said.
"What kind of problem?" Duncan hissed.
"Well the kind with aura guardians and them killing our sentinels." Cassidy said as she and Butch sweat dropped.
Duncan grabbed them both by the throat.
"You incompetent fools! I gave you specific orders! Meet me here with all your men! Now you come here alone with all your grunts captured and your sentinels dead! Those sentinels are expensive to train and equip and are our new countermeasure against aura guardians and yet you waist two of them! I should kill you both right now for incompetence, unfortunately I'm now low on manpower and need all the help I can get. You will both follow my orders to the letter and nothing else from these point on, and I clear!" Duncan hissed.
"Crystal clear sir." Cassidy said as he choked them. Duncan dropped the two before turning back to his sentinels and walked off.
"Come on let's go." Cassidy said.

Another chapter done,
I'll tell you now that the next few chapters won't feature team rocket or much aura guardian stuff. It will be more focused on the regular pokemon journey.
