Chapter 24

"So Emma, how is it to be married to the princess of the Dark Kingdom? It must be quite terrifying." Cora spoke up as she and the blonde stood in the midst of the bedroom, which belonged to Regina and Emma.

The blonde contorted her face a little before she replied with a warm voice and a broad smile on her face.

"Why should it be terrifying? Regina is the most beautiful and kind woman I have met in my entire life. She could light up the whole world with her smile."

The older woman nodded slightly, apparently showing understanding but sounded extremely cold when she responded.

"She cannot stay innocent forever. I hope you are aware that your marriage or whatever it is between you cannot possibly last. I won't let it happen."

"Emma, princess of the White Kingdom do you take Regina, princess of the Dark Kingdom as your lawful wedded wife? Will you love her, honor, comfort, and cherish her from this day forward, forsaking all others, keeping only unto her for as long as you both shall live?"

"Yes I do." The blonde said as she smiled broadly.

"Regina, princess of the Dark Kingdom do you take Emma, princess of the White Kingdom as your lawful wedded wife? Will you love her, honor, comfort, and cherish her from this day forward, forsaking all others, keeping only unto her for as long as you both shall live?"

A few tears filled dark orbs as she softly and huskily said, "Yes, of course, I do."

Cora faked a smile as she locked eyes with the blonde princess who narrowed her eyes at the brunette. Emma smiled back, accepting the invitation to have a little bitch fight with her step mother. She was a pain in the ass and only wanted prestige and power for her daughter. The blonde certainly had had enough of her in more ways than just one.

"I think it is best if you do not get in the way of us. You know about our combined magic. We are having a baby together. This should be proof of our love. Why can't just accept it and be happy for us, for your daughter?" Emma pointed out as she brushed over her round belly.

The blonde was only days away from giving birth and was still as beautiful as ever. Her forest eyes got darker as she challenged the older woman, looking at her intently.

"How about Jamie?" The brunette said as she eyed Emma with a broad smile on her face.

They were looking for a name for their son for a long time and just couldn't disagree on any name. The blonde always chose incredibly weird names that Regina didn't like at all. Regina, on the other hand wanted a name that had as much meaning as it could possibly have.

"True love is weakness, darling. This is all a game and you are the playing piece. We are using you in order to get control over the White Kingdom. Once you're gone, you will forget my daughter and your heartache." Cora spoke up darkly, smirking at the blonde princess.

"What are you talking about?" Emma asked angrily as she locked eyes with the other woman again.

"Goodbye Emma." Cora said silently and made a step forward in order to harm the blonde.

Regina turned to lock eyes with the blonde and smiled warmly at her as they exchanged their rings. Emma grinned back sheepishly before the priest said his last words.

"You may now seal your promises with a kiss."

The brunette laughed breathily as tears of joy filled forest eyes. Their eyes met each other and their breaths got stuck in their throats before they leaned forward. Red plump lips fell on pink ones as they smiled into the kiss, their soft giggles making the kiss the most sweetest they had ever shared.

Before the older woman could do the blonde any harm, though, Regina entered the room and pushed Cora away from her wife. Cora hit the ground and inhaled deeply.

"Regina, that was a terrible mistake." The older brunette hissed through gritted teeth as she stood up from where she had landed.

She magically tied her daughter's hands and threw her against a wooden wardrobe that stood across from her. A loud bang echoed through the bedroom as Regina's body crashed against the wardrobe and blood splattered on it. The brunette screamed in pain and a few tears slipped from emerald eyes as Emma made her way to her wife in order to help her up. Just as the blonde stood in front of the wardrobe, Cora summoned her magic and pushed the pregnant blonde into the wardrobe. With one fell swoop she closed the door and chuckled darkly.

After a short while, Regina finally managed to stand up and opened the wardrobe again. Once she noticed that her soul mate and her child were gone, the woman's breathing increased as well as her heartbeat. Tears sped down her cheeks as she just screamed for dear life.

Emma had just disappeared inside of the wooden wardrobe.

Regina's dark-brown eyes burned up with tears as she infuriatingly eyed the older woman in front of her. In that moment she deserved the title of the Evil Queen even if it actually didn't belong to her, not yet. The other woman smiled and looked at the brunette with nothing else but emptiness. Regina felt as if being tricked was only a matter of time but never thought that her own mother was able to do so. The mask of the worried and loving mother Cora was trying to keep up was wearing thin.

"What have you done?" The younger woman hissed through gritted teeth, her anger and frustration drooling from her every word.

The blonde shook her head lightly and gained herself a death stare from Regina. However, before the brunette could say anything, Emma's eyes sparkled as she lovingly asked.

"Henry?"

The blonde eyed her dark-haired lover, who stood at the other end of a bedroom… the same bedroom, which she had already been in so many times by then.

"I would love that." Regina replied as tears of joy filled her eyes and she moved over to the pregnant woman.

Dark brown orbs opened once thousands of flashbacks had entered her head. Regina remembered everything.
