Ch 11: The hidden village.
it was late at night on route 5 and several men dressed in black making their way past several trees and bushes.
"So where is this place we were sent for anyway? Are we close?" A rocket grunt asked. The officer in front and two sentinels behind him said nothing.
"Uh ok?" The other grunt said. As they made their way past a bush, the grunt to the back right was snatched up by an arm and pulled into the bush.
"Did you head something?" The other grunt said as they walked past a tree. As the did the same person who grabbed the first grunt leapt from the tree and landed on the other grunt knocking him out.
The 3 remaining men continued past another bush as the same man came out and stabbed a hidden blade into the right sentinel before slowly placing him in the bush.
The other sentinel heard something and turned to see the other sentinel was missing.
Moments later the same man came out of another bush behind the sentinel and slammed his right hidden blade into the man's back as he covered his mouth as he placed the body in the bush.
The last remaining man turned around and saw his men were gone. He took a deep breath and opened his eyes again before looking up at a tree branch.
The other man leapt from the tree with his hidden blades out and tried to air assassinate the rocket officer. Just before he could the man brought his own hidden blades up and moved back before grabbing the other man's arm and hurling him to the ground.
The aura guardian rolled across the ground before he quickly got back up. The aura guardian had dark brownish red skin with long black hair and brown eyes. He had red paint over his eyes that looked similar to a superhero mask.
He wore a buckskin like leather hood and shawl adorned with feathers. Under the leather and shawl was a white and blue interior with a belt that had a black spade insignia on the center.
As the aura guardian got up and faced the man.
"Did you really think you could evade us forever traitor, especially after Viridian city. The mentor herself sent me after you. I will give you once chance to surrender yourself and be taken alive. If not I will end you." The guardian said.
Seir held his arms out and let out his hidden blades.
"Do you really believe you can best me traitor." The guardian said as he drew a tomahawk. The aura guardian unleashed a burst of aura, knocking Seir onto his back.
As the guardian rushed forward with his tomahawk raised, Seir unleashed a burst of aura that kicked the aura guardian onto his back. As the two men got up Seir lunged forward with his hidden blades only to have them get knocked away from the guardian by his tomahawk.
The guardian kept doing this until he saw an opening and kicked Seir in his calf, making him lose his stance. Once he did the guardian slammed his fist and tomahawk handle into Seir's face.
"Rocket dog!" The aura guardian shouted. As Seir stumbled backwards he grabbed one of his pokeballs and let out his Garchomp.
Before the aura guardian could even reach for his own, Garchomp unleashed a close range Draco Meteor.
The guardian leapt away as he threw an aura barrier over himself. The barrier managed to absorb the brunt of the attack, but the force did hurl the guardian back and onto the ground. He reached to his belt and threw something.
As Seir rushed at him he unleashed an aura sphere that knocked the guardian back to the ground. Seir attempted to assassinate the aura guardian. However, the man rolled to the side and tried to strike at Seir's side with his Tomahawk.
Seir quickly delivered a powerful kick to the man's arm making him drop his tomahawk. As the guardian lurched back he touched the bottom of one of his hidden blade holder. Seir lunged in with his hidden blades.
The aura guardian brought his own hidden blades up and blocked Seir's, holding them in place. The two remained locked for several seconds before the aura guardians smiled.
The guardian pushed Seir back. As Seir regained his footing his eyes widened as he saw a Mega Pidgeot flying at them.
"Burn!" The guardian shouted.
The Mega Pidgeot opened his beak and unleashed a massive Heatwave at Seir. Seir quickly threw up an aura barrier as his Garchomp ran over and covered him with his wings. At the same time Seir touched his mega evolution stone causing his Garchomp to Mega evolve.
Once the fire ended, the Mega Garchomp raised his wings revealing an unharmed Seir. Moments later Garchomp charged forward at Pidgeot with Dragon rush, forcing him back.
The aura guardian came forward with his hidden blades and tried to strike Seir.
"Rocket dog!" He shouted. Seir blocked each of the guardian's strikes before getting his arm inside the guardians and blocking one of his strikes.
Before Seir could do anything, the guardian came in with his other hidden blade and stabbed it into Seir's wrist, making him grunt before the guardian grabbed Seir's arm and locked him in an arm bar.
"Die traitor." The guardian said before Seir slammed his free elbow into the guardian's face. As he stumbled backwards, Seir turned around and kicked the guardians calf before plunging his left hidden blade into the guardian's chest.
The guardian grunted as he held his chest over the wound. His Pidgeot felt this and unleashed a berserk rage , hurling the Mega Garchomp back with Steel wing. Seir dove to the side as he was almost hit by his Garchomp.
Mega Pidgeot rushed in unleashing more fire in front of his trainer to keep Seir away. Mega Pidgeot picked up the wounded aura guardian in his talons before throwing him up onto his back and flying off as fast as he could. Seir and his Mega Garchomp got up and watched as the Pidgeot flew away.
They then slowly followed.
The next morning Ash awoke in his tent. He turned and saw Serena asleep with her arms around him and her head on his chest.
Something made Ash feel a bit on edge, the aura around them made him feel like something had happened recently. Ash slowly got up, being careful not to wake Serena. He walked outside his sent as a thick fog filled the air.
Moments later he felt Pikachu climb up to his shoulder.
"Pika." Pikachu said.
"Morning to you too." Ash said. He walked behind his tent and saw Lucy staring into the air. He came up beside her and looked up.
"Do you feel it too?" He asked.
"Yes, something happened near us last night." Lucy said.
"Do you think it's something we need to worry about?" Ash asked.
"I'm not sure yet, for now I say we wait and see." Lucy said.
"Sounds good." Ash said.
"Pika, Pikachu." Pikachu said pointing to Ash's body. It was then Ash realized he hadn't put a shirt on yet.
This caught Lucy's eye.
"Sorry." Ash said.
"It's fine, besides you know who I want." Lucy said before she noticed 3 large claw mark scars across Ash's chest.
"What happened to your chest?" She asked.
"Oh these, I got these back in Kalos. It's a bit of a long story." Ash said.
"I'm sure it is." Lucy as she walked back to her tent.
"Up already." Ash heard behind him.
He turned around to have Serena wrap her arms around him and kiss him.
"Ash you know I like waking up with you in my arms." Serena said.
"Sorry, I just felt something wrong through my aura and wanted to see if Lucy felt the same.".
"Did she?" Serena asked.
"Yes, but neither of us are sure what it is. So we're just going to wait and see." Ash said.
"Well it's still a bit early to be up, let's rest a bit more." Serena said. As Serena moved slightly away from him, Ash realized that Serena was in just her black bra and panties.
"Serena , you're not wearing any cloths." Ash said as his face turned red.
"What it's nothing you haven't seen before." Serena said as she gave another smile.
"What about Brock and Lucy?" Ash asked. Serena's face turned red as her smile turned to a look of fear.
"Right, we're not in the apartment anymore." Serena said. The two quickly made their way back into their tent.
Elsewhere Lucy was outside her tent when she saw Brock up and with his pokemon.
"Alright you guys seem like you're in fine condition. " Brock said. Lucy blushed a bit as she watched Brock. After a few moments she walked over to him.
"So you're up too." She said trying to sound serious.
"Yeah, I always make sure my pokemon are ok in the morning." Brock said.
"You really love pokemon don't you." Lucy said.
"I love them to death, they're wonderful and beautiful creatures. Being able to help them and breed them is such a joy. I've been around pokemon my hole life, I remember my father teaching me all about them back in Pewter city. I just remember how fascinated I was with them. After they would get in a battle I would aways want to help them feel better." Brock said as Lucy blushed again.
"I love them like that too, it's one of the reasons I joined the aura guardians. Being able to protect them from people like team rocket. It feels good, plus it really let me open my eyes to see what the world is truly about." Lucy said.
"My eyes are wide open my love, I see that we are meant to be together." Brock said as his face turned red and his knelt in front of Lucy as he took her hands.
Lucy's face turned red again.
"Morning guys." Serena said as she and Ash came out of their tent.
"Morning." Brock said.
"So do we have a day of traveling or a day of training?" Serena asked.
"We had a day of training yesterday, we can make some progress in traveling today." Ash said.
"Sounds good, we've still got a ways to go before we reach Vermillion city." Brock said. The group had some breakfast as their pokemon also ate.
"So Serena where is your next Showcase?" Brock asked.
"Its suppose to take place in Vermillon city also." Serena said.
"That's convenient" Lucy said.
"Do you have your next routine planned out?" Ash asked.
"Not yet, but I'm working on it." Serena said. As Nidoran and Butterfree ate, they noticed a small round blue pokemon ahead of them drinking from a small stream.
"Ni." Nidoran said.
"Free." Butterfree said.
Nidoran walked over to the Oddish and smiled.
"Ni, Nidoran." She said trying to be friendly.
"Od." The Oddish said as it turned to her.
"Ni." Nidoran said.
"Odd."
"Ni." Nidoran said saying she was a performer.
"Odd?" The Oddish asked.
"Ni." Nidoran said pointing to Serena, saying she was her trainer.
When Oddish saw the humans she jumped backwards and looked scared.
"Ni?" Nidoran asked.
"Odd!" Oddish screamed out in fear.
"Ni?" Nidoran said sweat dropping as the others turned to her.
"What's going on over there?" Serena asked.
Moments later a small blue quadrapedal pokemon with a large green bud on his back leapt out and got between Nidoran and the Oddish.
"Saur." He said.
"A Bulbasaur?" Serena asked.
"Ni?" Nidoran asked.
"Saur." The Bulbasaur said before he used tackle on Nidoran and hurled her back.
"Nidoran!" Serena shouted as she ran over to her.
"Saur!" The Bulbasaur growled in at the group. Not liking the Bulbasaur's attitude, Charizard got up and walked over in front of the two grass types before letting a puff of smoke from his nostrils.
The Oddish ran off as fast as she could as the Bulbasaur slowly backed up, while still growling.
Charizard turned when the Bulbasaur was out of sight.
"What was with that Bulbasaur?" Serena asked as she helped Nidoran up.
" He seemed very aggressive." Brock said. Ash and Lucy knew it was more than that. His aura seemed very hostile towards not just them, but all their pokemon as well. Though in a bit of a protective way.
"His aura, is certainly interesting." Lucy said.
"It was. Maybe we should just keep moving." Ash said.
The group packed up their things before heading back down the trail. Eventually they reached a flowing ravine with a rope bridge separating the sides.
"Well that doesn't look unsafe." Lucy said.
"Maybe we should find another way." Serena said.
"We'll be fine. We just need to cross it one at a time." Ash said. He and Pikachu went first , reaching the other side without a problem.
"See what did I tell you." Ash said.
"Alright if you say so." Serena said nervously as she carefully crossed the bridge.
After she made it to the other side Lucy went across followed by Brock. When Brock was about halfway across several sharp green leaves flew through the air and cut the ropes on the bridge.
"What the?" Brock said.
"Brock run!" Ash shouted. Before Brock could, the bridge split causing Brock to plummet into the water.
"Brock!" The other 3 shouted.
"Help!" Brock screamed as the current carried him away.
"No!" Lucy shouted. She dove into the water using a leap of faith as Ash and Serena watched.
"Is she crazy?" Serena said.
"I'd jump in after you." Ash said. Lucy climbed out of the river on a small rocky path near the side and began sprinting after Brock.
"Are you coming!?" Lucy shouted back.
"She's right let's go." Ash and Serena raced across the ridge as Lucy tried to catch up with Brock.
Despite their speed, the current of the river was too fast and Brock was soon out of sight.
"Dam it." Lucy said.
"Hey Lucy I don't think we're going to catch him." Serena shouted down to her.
"Maybe if we cut across the land and try to find a section farther down we'll have some luck." Ash said.
"I suppose." Lucy said. She used her parkour skills to scale up the rocks.
"Let's hurry, I don't want to lose him again." Lucy said. The 3 hurried down the trail. Almost 3 hours passed of them searching the river side and they found no trace of Brock.
"When does this river end?" Serena asked.
"Come on we can't stop looking." Lucy said. That was when Ash and Lucy's enhanced senses detected something head of them.
"Stop!" Ash shouted as the 3 abruptly stopped.
"What's wrong?" Serena asked.
"There's something different in the ground ahead, I can feel it." Ash said He slowly placed his food ahead of them and the ground collapsed revealing a trap hole.
"A trap hole?" Serena asked.
"Why did someone leave a trap hole here?" Lucy asked.
"I don't know but we'll have to be more careful." Serena said as she walked around the truffle and under a tree. Not a moment later a net shout out from under her and lifted her up into he air.
"You were saying." Lucy said.
"I'm sorry I don't have super senses like you two." Serena said.
Ash got under the net as Lucy climbed up the tree and used one of her hidden blades to cut the bottom of the net.
As Serena fell Ash caught her before she hit the ground.
"Thanks." She said.
"Who's leaving these traps?" Ash asked.
"Hey guys there you are." Brock said. The 3 turned to see him standing in front of them.
"Brock?" Ash and Serena said.
"How did you get out of the river?" Lucy asked.
"Well I was being carried away by the current when I saw someone on the side of the river. She grabbed my arm and helped me out before I was carried away." Brock said.
"Wait what?" Lucy asked.
"Her name's Melanie, after she rescue me she took me to the hidden village." Brock said.
"Hidden village?" Serena asked.
"It's an amazing place, let me show you. But first you have to promise something." Brock said.
"Promise something?" Ash asked.
"Yeah you can't catch any pokemon."
"Ok, why?" Ash asked.
"It's just a rule there." He lead them off the trail to an open grove with a pond and a small cabin. Around the grove were several grass type pokemon grazing around.
Kneeling in front of a Paras was a young woman with long blue hair, light skin and blue eyes, wearing red overalls and a red shirt underneath.
"Melanie , there are my friends I was talking about." Brock said.
The young woman turned to them.
"Oh hello, welcome to the hidden village. I'm Melanie." She said.
"What is this place?" Serena asked.
"The hidden village is a place of rest and healing for wild pokemon. You see before the village was made, dozens of reckless young trainers would attack every pokemon in sight and try to catch as many as they could."
"That sounds horrible." Serena said.
"When I saw what was happening I knew I had to do something. So I found this hidden grove and used my knowledge in medicine to help any hurt wild pokemon who came here." Melanie said.
"She's an amazing person." Brock said blushing. This caught the attention of Lucy who was now feeling a bit Jealous.
"What was up with those traps we ran into earlier?" Lucy asked.
"Oh I'm sorry if you ran into those. They were mine , I use them to keep trainers away from this place." Melanie said.
"You know that's not a nice thing to do, you could really hurt someone. I mean Serena could have been very hurt by that net trap." Lucy said trying to make Melanie look bad.
"I wasn't really hurt." Serena started.
"She could have been seriously hurt." Lucy said as her face turned slightly red.
"I'm so sorry." Melanie said.
"It's alright, I'm fine." Serena said.
"What about the bridge was that a trap?" Lucy asked.
"What? No, the bridge collapsed?" Melanie asked.
"Yes, that's how I fell in the river." Brock said.
"Wait a minute, oh no." Melanie said. Moments later Ash felt something slam into the side of his leg hard.
"What the?" he said as he turned and saw the same Bulbasaur from earlier looking angry at him.
"Hey it's that Bulbasaur from earlier." Ash said.
"Saur." Bulbasaur said as he continued to try and push Ash away.
"You've met Bulbasaur before?" Melanie asked.
"Yeah he attacked my Nidoran for no reason." Serena said.
"I know why he did. He must have saw you guys and knew she belonged to you. Bulbasaur hates pokemon trainers and any pokemon that belong to them. He sees them as just poachers who want to take pokemon away. It was him who sabotaged the bridge." Melanie said.
"What?" The others said.
"Bulbasaur you could have seriously hurt Brock." Lucy said.
"Saur." Bulbasaur said turning his head away. Pikachu leapt down from Ash's shoulder and got in front of Bulbasaur.
"Pika, Pikachu." he said sounding angry.
"Saur." Bulbasaur said.
A few minutes later Melanie was showing the group each of the pokemon at the village getting medicine.
"This medicine should help your leg." Melanie said as she carefully applied some medicine to a Paras's leg.
The small mushroom crab looked relieved before she walked away.
"Wow that medicine worked fast." Ash said.
"I studied medicine at the University of Saffron city." Melanie said.
"You're medicine is amazing, what herbs do you use?" Brock asked.
Melanie and Brock continued to converse as Lucy gave a concerned look watching them. This caught the attention of Serena.
"Lucy are you ok?" She asked.
"Huh. Oh I'm fine." Lucy said as she shut her eyes and turned away with a serious look.
"You know Lucy if this bothers you, we can look around the rest of the village." Serena said.
That was when they saw Bulbasaur growling at them.
"If he'll let us." Lucy said. As Ash, Serena and Lucy continued looking around the village as Bulbasaur kept a close watch on them.
Ash and Lucy both noticed that Bulbasaur wasn't the only pokemon there uncomfortable around humans. They could feel how afraid the other pokemon were through their aura.
Serena was kneeling in front of an Oddish.
"Aren't you a cute little pokemon aren't you." Serena said.
The Oddish looked very scared .
"You don't need to be afraid. I'm not going to try and catch you." Serena said. The Oddish slowly walked over to Serena.
Serena petted the side of Oddish's head.
After a minute the Oddish, seemed a little more comfortable around Serena.
"You see I." Serena started before Bulbasaur rushed forward and slammed into Serena with tackle.
"Serena!" Ash shouted.
"Pika!". Ash rushed over and helped Serena up as Bulbasaur stood between them and Oddish, growling.
"Come on Bulbasaur, she wasn't doing anything to her." Ash said.
"Pika, Pikachu!".
"Saur." Bulbasaur said growling.
Ash didn't like how dim the Bulbasaur's view of people was.
As Lucy came behind the cabin, she noticed another man and a large Pidgeot resting beside the cabin. The man was large with a body covered in muscles, he was only wearing a pair of trousers. He had dark red skin and long black hair.
Strangely enough the man had several of the wild pokemon sitting around him looking very calm around him.
"Who is that?" Serena asked. Upon hearing Serena the man got up and turned to them. They noticed that he hard a large white cloth patched over a part of his chest held in place by a another white cloth wrapped around his chest.
"Are you friends of Melanie's." The man asked.
" Not really, we just met her." Lucy said.
"Who are you?" Ash asked.
"I am Keso." He said. That was when the man noticed Ash's hidden blade holders and his eyes widened.
"You, boy are those hidden blades?" Keso asked.
"Uh, well." Ash said nervously.
"Do not be afraid. I am like you." Keso said as he took a break and an aura sphere formed in his hands.
"You're an aura guardian." Lucy said as she revealed her own hidden blades.
"I am." Keso said.
"What's going on over there?" Melanie asked as she and Brock walked over.
"Oh my gosh, Keso I'm so sorry I forgot to tell these guys about you." Melanie said.
"It is alright, two of them are members of my brotherhood." Keso said.
"Wait you're pokemon protector's like him." Melanie asked.
"We are yes." Ash said.
"What happened to you?" Serena asked Keso.
The group gathered around Keso and his Pidgeot.
"After the incident in Viridian city we knew the traitor had to be dealt with." Keso said.
"Seir." Ash said.
"Traitor?" Lucy asked.
"Yes, one of our guardians has defected to team Rocket for unknown reasons. The mentor knew how dangerous he could be and sent me to track him down. Last night I found him nearby and tried to defeat him. But he was more skilled then I believed and he wounded me with his hidden blades. Luckily Pidgeot was able to get me to safety before he could finish me." Keso said as he stroked the side of Pidgeot's head.
"I tried to use my aura to heal my wound, but I had lost too much blood and was close to dying. That was when Melanie stumbled across me and Pidgeot." Keso said.
"I saw him on the ground bleeding out and knew I had to do something. So I used some herbs to slow the bleeding before bandaging the wound." Melanie said.
"You saved his life, amazing." Brock said.
"Yeah, Melanie is so amazing." Lucy said.
"Keso does well with the pokemon
"Saur." Bulbasaur said as growled at Keso and Ash.
"Except Bulbasaur." Melanie said sweat dropping.
Ash had finally had enough. He knelt down in front of Bulbasaur. As he did so he tried to reach out to the Bulbasaur with his aura to show him he wasn't what he thought he was.
The Bulbasaur felt Ash's aura and got a quick glimpse of who Ash really was. For a brief moment Bulbasaur looked at Ash differently than he had been, but quickly after turned away with a serious face. Kind of like how Lucy had been doing when she saw Brock and Melanie getting along well.
"Well you made a little progress." Melanie said.
Ash got up when he felt something was wrong. Lucy, and Keso felt it as well. There was hostile aura all around them.
Serena noticed the expressions on their faces change.
"Guys is everything alright?" She asked.
Ash, Lucy, and Keso all used their aura vision and saw over a dozen men surrounding them.
"Guys, we've got company." Lucy said. Several flash bangs flew out from the bushes at the group and the pokemon.
Ash, Lucy, and Keso each threw up a aura barrier around them that shielded the group from the effects of the flash bangs.
The pokemon in the village , however, weren't so lucky. They were all on the ground with their ears ringing and their vision complete white.
When the barriers were lowered they saw several rocket grunts step out with Nidorino's and Zubats beside them.
"Team rocket!" Ash shouted. Keso looked in the trees and scowled.
"I know you're there traitor! Stop cowering behind your men and show yourself!" Keso shouted. There was no response.
"Seir is here." Serena said sounding afraid. Ash tried to feel around his aura, but just like in Viridian city, it was hard to find it.
The grunts rushed at the group with their pokemon beside them.
"Charizard go!" Ash shouted.
"Go Seviper!" Lucy shouted.
"Absol we need to battle!" Serena shouted.
"Onix come on out!" Brock shouted.
As two Zubat flew at a Belstrout and Paras on the ground, Bulbasaur leapt forward in front of them before unleashed Vine whip and smashed the two Zubat into the ground.
At the same time Charizard and Seviper both lit up another 3 Zubat and 4 Nidorino in fire, knocking them out.
As the pokemon clashed several of the grunts rushed forward and tried to clobber the group with their electric batons.
Ash, Lucy, and even a wounded Keso made easy work of the grunts, using their hidden blades to slice their batons into pieces before knocking them out.
Once most of the grunts were knocked out another 3 men stepped out of the trees. The 3 men wore padded body armor and wielded swords.
Ash saw them and his eyes widened.
"Sentinels!" He shouted. The 3 rocket sentinels rushed right at the aura guardians. Keso raised his hidden blades just in time and blocked the sentinel's strikes. Lucy and Ash did the same as the 4 remaining grunts formed up as they faced Serena and Brock.
"Guys I'm scared." Melanie said.
"We've got these creeps." Serena said.
"Onix use Rock tomb." Brock shouted.
"Absol use Night slash!" Serena shouted. As the rocket pokemon came forward Onix unleashed several massive rocks that slammed onto 3 of the Zubat. At the same time Absol leapt forward and slashed two of the Nidorino's across the face with Night Slash, hurling them back.
Meanwhile, Bulbasaur smashed into another Zubat with Tackle before unleashing a furry of Razor leaves into a Nidorino.
That was a when burst of fire hit the ground right in front of Bulbasaur.
"Saur!" He shouted in fear.
He looked over and saw a pair of large Arcanine battling Charizard and Pikachu. At the same time A Fearow was battling Keso's Pidgeot and a Nidoking was facing Seviper.
Keso blocked the Sentinel's blade strike before coming forward and cutting his right hidden blade across the man's wrist, making him drop his sword. Keso came forward and stabbed his other hidden blade into the man's throat.
Meanwhile his Pidgeot slashed across Fearow's face, knocking him out.
Ash blocked the second sentinel's blade before delivering a powerful kick to the man's calf before diving forward. Once he was at the man's side as he bend over, Ash slammed his right hidden blade into the man's side. At the same time Pikachu filled one of the Arcanine with electricity and Charizard hurled the second one into the ground.
Lucy blocked the the last Sentinel's sword with her right hidden blade before forcing her foot in front of the man's foot and grabbing hold of his arm, putting him in an arm bar before slicing her hidden blade across the back of his neck.
Seviper opened his mouth and blasted the Nidorino with fire and knocked him out.
"Is that all of them?" Ash asked.
"Where is the traitor?" Lucy asked. Moments later they heard something behind them.
"Guys." Brock said.
They all looked up on top of the cabin to see none other than Seir, standing on top of the cabin with two more Sentinel's behind him.
"Traitor!" Keso shouted.
"Give it up Seir, you've got no where to run. You're surrounded." Ash said.
Seir raised an eyebrow before he took a deep breath and his eyes glowed blue.
Ash and the other guardians both felt strange aura around them. Moments later, Bulbasaur and the other wild pokemon all cried out in pain.
"Oh no, what's wrong?" Melanie asked.
Ash's eyes widened as he saw Bulbasaur's eyes glow blue as well as the other wild pokemon.
"Oh no!" Ash shouted.
"What have you done to them!?" Lucy shouted.
"He's taken over their minds." Ash said.
"What!" Everyone but Serena shouted.
"You monster! You dare take control of the minds of innocent pokemon! I will end you!" Keso shouted.
Seir took out a pokeball and dropped it to the ground before his massive Garchomp came out. Seir touched his mega evolution stone as his Garchomp grew even larger and more powerful.
Ash and Keso touched their mega evolution stones as Lucy did the same. Mega Seviper's tail had grown twice as large and was shaped like an arrow head. He also had several claw shapes spikes sticking out of his back, and a tail like appendage on the back of his head. He had also grown two red horns behind his eyes facing back, and a star shaped emblem on the center of his head.
Before Mega Seviper could launch an attack, Mega Garchomp rushed forward and slammed his claws into Seviper's head, hurling him back.
As the two Sentinels engaged Lucy and Keso, Seir went right for Ash. Ash brought his hidden blades up just in time to block Seir's.
Meanwhile the wild pokemon all began to attack everyone relentlessly.
Brock, Serena, and Melanie held their arms up to protect their faces.
"Please stop, this isn't you." Melanie said to the pokemon. But to no avail.
Serena and Brock were uneasy about ordering their pokemon to attack the mind controlled pokemon, seeing as many were injured and they were afraid of doing serious harm to them.
Pikachu leapt out of the way as a meteorite from a Draco meteor slammed into the ground in front of him. He was about to launch an attack, when he saw Ash still struggling with Seir.
Seir used his superior strength to force Ash back before blasting him with a burst of aura.
Seeing this, Pikachu rushed over towards Seir. Just when he was about to unleash a Thunder, when he was pulled away by a pair of vines. Pikachu turned to see it was Bulbasaur with his eyes glowing blue , holding him up.
"Saur." Bulbasaur said in a soulless tone.
Pikachu knew it wasn't Bulbasaur's fault, that he was being controlled by Seir. But he wasn't going to let him keep him from saving Ash.
"Pika Chu!" Pikachu shouted as he filled Bulbasaur with electricity.
While electricity didn't do much damage to grass types, Pikachu's attack had far more power in it Bulbasaur lit up with electricity before falling over. Now free Pikachu ran right at Seir. This caught the attention of Mega Garchomp. He rushed forward with Dragon rush and knocked Mega Pidgoet and Mega Seviper out of the way as he sprinted towards Pikachu.
Just before Pikachu could reach Seir, he was smashed to the side by Garchomp. The dragon was about to strike Pikachu again when he was hit in the back by Charizard Y's Dragon pulse and forced away. Ash leapt back just before Seir could could assassinate him.
Ash tried to force Seir back with a burst of aura, but Seir held his stance with a small barrier of aura around him before hurling Ash back again.
As he tried to get up Pikachu sprinted over and got between him and Seir. Garchomp tried to rush over when he was hit by Mega Seviper's poison tail and knocked away. Once Ash was up he held his hidden blades out again.
Bulbasaur got up and stood between Ash and Seir.
"Saur." he said again.
"Bulbasaur, you have to fight it. You're in control not him." Ash said.
"Saur." Bulbasaur said as he tried to smash Ash with vine whip. Just before the vines could hit, Pikachu leapt up and knocked the vines away with his tail.
Seir came forward and tried to jab Ash with his hidden blades. Ash blocked them , but Seir was relentless. Pikachu tried to stop him but Bulbasaur got in the way again. Pikachu still wasn't all for hurting Bulbasaur since he had no free will, but he knew if he didn't Ash could get killed.
"Chu!" Pikachu shouted as he slammed his Iron tail into Bulbasaur, knocking him away.
Once he was clear, Pikachu covered himself in electricity and tried to hit Seir. Seir's enhanced senses allowed him to hear Pikachu coming.
Just before Pikachu could reach them, Seir unleashed a burst of aura around them, knocking Ash and Pikachu both back and away from him.
As Pikachu tried to get up mind controlled Bulbasaur unleashed a sleep powered over him.
"Pika, Pika." Pikachu said as he tried to stay awake with everything he had.
As Ash tried to get up Seir kicked him in the chest and forced him to the ground again.
Bulbasaur came closer to Ash , pressing his vines against his chest.
"Bulbasaur you know this isn't you. You're a protector." Ash said as he tried to reach out to Bulbasaur's aura. Bulbasaur felt Ash's presence inside him.
Bulbasaur began to fidget and shake his head.
This caught the attention of Seir who looked down at Bulbasaur.
"Please, fight it. You can break free." Ash said.
"Bulb , Saur!" Bulbasaur shouted as his eyes returned to normal and he hurled several razor leaves at Seir. The dark aura guardian easily cut them apart with his hidden blades before hurling Bulbasaur back with a burst of aura.
He then rushed forward and slammed his hidden blades into Ash's. Before Ash could do anything, Seir kicked his chest and sent him to the ground again.
Ash saw Seir standing over him with his hidden blades out.
"Ash!" Serena shouted. Before Seir could do anything else he was hit with an aura sphere and hurled back.
When he got back up he saw Keso right in front of him and brought his hidden blades up just before Keso could assassinate him with his own hidden blades.
"Rocket dog!" Kelso shouted. Seir tried to force Keso back, but not a moment later Lucy came up at him and slashed her hidden blade across his arm. The man grunted in pain before unleashed a burst of aura that forced them both back.
Not a moment later Ash charged forward and blasted Seir with a burst of aura, knocking him back before slashing at his face with his hidden blades.
Seir managed to move out of the way just in time to save himself, but not before the tip of Ash's blade sliced across Seir's forehead. The dark guardian held his forehead as blood came out. He then looked up as all 3 guardians stood in front of him with their hidden blades held out.
He saw his Garchomp was fairing no better before glaring at Ash. He unleashed an other burst of aura before sprinting away. His Garchomp quickly followed. As soon as Seir left, the wild pokemon's eyes returned to normal.
"Oddish."
"Bell sprout." They said as their heads' felt dizzy.
"Should we pursue?" Brock asked.
"No, he's long gone by now. Guardians are also masters of evasion." Keso said.
"Are you guys ok?" Ash asked.
"Yeah, just a few scratches and bruises." Melanie said.
"What about you my love, are you ok?" Brock said as he rushed over to Lucy and took her hands.
Lucy's face turned red as she saw Brock in front of her again.
"You were so brave, fighting off those men." Brock said as his face turned red.
"Well, I'm fine." Lucy said with a slight smile as she continued to blush, feeling very relieved.
Ash, Serena, and Keso were watching this.
"Should we try to get them together?" Ash asked.
"No, I think those two would go well together. But we have to let that flower bloom on it's own." Serena said.
Keso just gave a bit of a weirded out expression.
"Or right, are you ok Keso?" Ash asked.
"I'm fine. But I am concerned. I don't know why the traitor came here, unless he intended on finishing me off, then he had no real reason for doing so." Keso said.
"Yeah, why did Seir come here with all his men?" Ash asked.
"I must find out." Keso said before he turned to Melanie.
"Thank you for all you have done." He said before he climbed onto his Mega Pidgeot and flew off.
"Thank you for helping protect the village. I still can't believe that horrible man took over their minds." Melanie asked.
"I'm just glad we were able to stop him." Ash said.
"Well we should probably get going. We've still got a long way to go before we get to Vermillion city." Lucy said.
"She's right." Serena said.
"Saur." Bulbasaur said as stood in front of Ash. Ash noticed that Bulbasaur didn't look hostile anymore.
"Bulb." He said as he looked up at Ash. Bulbasaur had seen many humans in his life, but few like Ash. When his mind was under the control of the other human, it was Ash who freed him. He saw Ash's aura and his true being.
"Saur." Bulbasaur said.
"Ash I think he wants to come with you." Lucy said.
"You want to come with me." Ash said as he knelt down in front of Bulbasaur.
"Saur." Bulbasaur said. Ash could feel Bulbasaur's aura had changed. He no longer seemed close minded or hating of humans.
"I think you should go with him Bulbasaur, it would be good for you to see the world. See what's out there. " Melanie said.
"Saur." Bulbasaur said as he stepped forward.
"Pika." Pikachu said nodding.
"Grauu". Charizard said also nodding. Ash took out a pokeball and touched it to Bulbasaur's head. Bulbasaur was sent inside the pokeball and stayed there for a few seconds before the pokeball sparkled indicating that he was caught.
Ash let Bulbasaur out of his pokeball.
"Alright Bulbasaur welcome to the family." Ash said.
"Bulbasaur." Bulbasaur said smiling.
Later that night, Seir was in the forest standing in front of a holoprojector.
The projection was of a man sitting in a desk.
"Did you acquire it Seir?" The man said. Seir reached into his robe and took out a vile of medicine before showing it to the man.
"Excellent, this is a large step forward for our operations. Ensure it get's to our scientists." Seir nodded before he turned off the projector and walked away.

Yeah no battle with Bulbasaur to catch him, sorry but Bulbasaur had already been in a fight and it seemed redundant.
Sorry if there were some typos and things that didn't make sense in the last chapter, I'm trying to cut down on those things.
Anyway if you are wondering Keso is based on Kesegowaase from rogue, expect to see him again before the story ends.
Also as I said before in this story Ash will catch every pokemon he caught in the Kanto anime , Except Charmander for obvious reasons.
As for the vile of medicine Seir took, it will also come up later.
Also if you forgot about Ash's scars, remember the previous book where Charizard evolves into Charizard.
