I thought I should post two chapters. Maybe that can redeem me? No? Not even a little? :'(
Thank you for all those that reviewed and my deepest apologies to those who have been impatiently waiting for an update. I know many of you gave up already and I'm truly sorry being a total B and leaving you all hanging.
I've been asked about Cass's character a few times so for anyone who may have wondered why she's in the story, I'll explain. I was 7 when I first started watching Sailor Moon and my first few episodes were during the NegaMoon sisters arc. I saw Catzi's character challenging Raye and I was like giiiiirl, that tutu tho! Seriously, who else could rock that outfit?! So fierce! She instantly became my favorite sister, plus I thought her blue flame power was totally badass, and she's basically in the story because I always wanted her freaking tutu. Motoki and Cass happened because even though he was supposed to be a side character, I didn't want Motoki to be alone (he's too cute to be alone!) so I had to pair him with someone just as hot. And viola! The most random characters ended up together! Yeah, I don't get it either...
P.S. I want to give a VERY special shout out to itsybitsyspiderx for introducing to me to the idea of Alex Pettyfer as Jed. OMG. OMG. Hot hot hot hot hot hot hawwwwwt! I have dreams about him now. THANK YOU.
(Standard disclaimer: I do not own any of the Sailor Moon characters of which I am writing about. This story is an original that I wrote for fun and without compensation. All characters belong to Naoko Takeuchi.)
Two More Weeks
Chapter 16
She Bang Bangs
*Usagi*
After going over Rei's to finish her beauty rest, she and Rei lounged around a bit until deciding to head to the spa in the late afternoon. Cass was supposed to go shopping with them but was currently having one of the rooms re-painted and so they had to wait for her to finish since she would go crazy if she wasn't there to oversee the entire process. They had about half an hour more until the workers were done cleaning up and she and Rei took their time relaxing.
"How did it go after I left Friday night?" Rei asked after they had settled into the warm and bubbly bath set up for them.
"It went fine." She hesitated in adding details that included Mamoru. "Why did you leave so fast? What happened with Jed?"
"Why are you asking me things like that? Of course nothing happened!" Rei's frenzied answer made her immediately suspicious.
"Something totally happened!" she gasped, poking Rei's stomach with her feet. "Tell me!"
"I don't know what you're talking about!" Rei was yelling back, her face red.
"LIAR!"
"Fine!" Rei looked guilt-ridden as she leaned her head back to stare at the ceiling. "You know how the hall out to the stairs in that club was really narrow? Well, there was this couple in the way and it was so small and he got my coat from the coat check and put it on me and then someone bumped into us and…"
"AND WHAT?" she demanded. "What happened?" Rei was not talking fast enough.
"He kind of grinded me from the back while we were trying to leave. And I just stood there." Rei's hands were in her face as if she'd just found out she'd slept with her cousin.
"That's it?"
"It's horrible! I know!" Rei was so lame. "But it was the hottest thing ever."
"Then why don't you ever flirt back with him? He's so into you and it if you like him too…"
She didn't know how she hadn't seen it before, but Rei hid her feelings like a ninja. Now she felt bad for telling Jed everything she had. Boy was she wrong.
"Usagi." Rei gave her the sternest look. "He's a terrible person."
"Unless he's a serial killer or skins puppies alive, I don't know how bad he could be."
"He's always smoking, for goodness' sake."
"True…" she admitted, "but I'm sure he'd stop if you ask." Rei sighed. "I know," she mumbled. "That's not the point."
"And I don't think you've noticed—how could you without the meditating fire?—but things are warped around him."
"Okay," she rolled her eyes. "Now you're just making things up."
"I'm not lying, Usa. It's weird to explain, but he's almost like a black hole. I know that sounds stupid, but if that isn't a sign, I don't know what is. He just makes me feel so weird every time I'm around him and not in a good way. I just feel… uneasy. It's bizarre. There are seriously bad vibes coming off him and I don't like it."
"You're not even going to consider it because of some fire hocus pocus?"
"Not a chance."
"You're boring."
"I don't care."
"But Jed is sexy! Take advantage, stupid! You should feel lucky he likes you so much."
"I should feel lucky?" Rei gave her a disgusted look. "No thanks, I'll pass."
"Oh my god, get over it!" she said exasperated. "You're sounding like a bitter hag." She and Rei were besties and that meant it was her duty to tell her the truth. "You can't keep hiding from guys because of what happened with Chad. Chad is an asshole, but Jed is a whole other guy."
"It's not about Chad!" Rei hissed.
"Of course not." She rolled her eyes and went back to making ripples in the water. After a full minute of tension, Rei finally broke the silence.
"It pisses me off how much my dad likes him," Rei admitted and she was glad that the truth was finally coming out. That was the real reason why Rei wouldn't touch Jed with a ten-foot pole, because of her father. "If I could disappear and Jed could be his son…" Rei shook her head bitterly. "You should see how he acts around him. My dad couldn't be happier."
"Don't blame Jed for that. I'm sure it's awkward for him too."
"You're not there. You don't see it." Rei's intense stare forced her to break eye contact. "Jed goes along with it just fine." She found that hard to believe, but didn't openly doubt her. Rei was entitled to feel how she felt. "So fuck him and my dad. They can have each other. I hate them both anyway."
"You don't sound bitter at all…"
"Whatever. Then let me be bitter!" Rei snapped. "I have the right to be mad at whoever I want."
She sighed, giving up. Rei was as difficult as always.
"Just like I'm mad at you," Rei added.
"Me? Why me? All I did was tell you the truth. That you're being a prude with Jed."
"I'm talking about you hooking up with Mamoru again. I don't know why you're always keeping that from me like you think I'm jealous of you or something, but you seriously have to stop. It's pissing me off. Just tell me. It's not like it's not obvious with the way he was hawking you the whole time we were dancing. He's like the most possessive, non-committed person on the planet. But isn't that every guy."
"Who told you?" Only Mako knew, but she needed to be sure.
"I called you after I left on Friday to make sure you made it home okay, but you didn't pick up so I called Mako since I thought you were sleeping over there."
"That whore!" Mako promised she wasn't going to say anything!
"It wasn't her, she didn't know anything. I called Ami afterwards and she told me."
"Ami? But she didn't even know! I didn't tell her!" She waved her fists in the air. "Dammit, Mako!"
"I mean, she didn't say it specifically, but she said not to worry and hinted that you and Mamoru would probably be together anyway. Motoki also told me about how you went to look for him last week at the office." She wanted to ask what else she had spoken to Motoki about, but was dissuaded when Rei gave her the stink eye again. "Please don't get involved in things between him and Cass. If she finds out, she won't talk to you. I'm sure you know that."
"I didn't even do anything!" It wasn't fair that she kept getting chastised over the same issue.
"Sure you didn't," Rei rolled her eyes, cutting her off before she could speak. "Anyway, for how long have you been hooking up with Mamoru?"
"Not very long." Rei didn't look like she believed her and turned to the ceiling.
"Ugh, what am I going to do with you?"
"Nothing, you celibate granny. I'll do what I want and you can't stop me." She stuck her tongue out and Rei splashed water at her.
"So, what do you guys do?" Rei asked. "Do you two even get along or is it just that?" She bit her lip as she contemplated an answer that wouldn't embarrass her.
"We talk sometimes, I suppose."
"Well, aren't you special." She looked away. Even though Rei had been joking the words hurt more than she'd imagine.
"Actually… yesterday he talked about his job for a long time. That was-"
"The most stimulating exchange of your life, I bet," Rei muttered. "Not surprising though, what other topics could possibly come up? It's not like you two have all that much in common."
"I only need one." It wasn't supposed to, but she sounded awfully defensive. Rei noticed. She knew that Rei hadn't meant to offend her, she was just concerned. Which she appreciated. But it was still annoying.
"Do what you want," Rei shrugged. "Just don't get pregnant or I'll kill you."
"Now that," she said, standing from the water. "Is advice I'll take. Come on, let's start getting ready." They climbed out of the pool and grabbed their lavender towels. Rei snatched hers away and stared, pointing at her chest. She tried taking her towel back to cover herself. "What's your deal?!"
"Is that a handprint? Holy crap. Mamoru is rough." She covered her breasts with one arm and used the other for her crotch.
"Stop staring at me, you creep!" She didn't have to stare at her naked!
"I mean, I noticed the one on your neck, and the one on your back was a little more surprising." Rei was shaking her head in disbelief. "But that wasn't even the beginning."
"He's a biter," she mumbled, beyond embarrassed. Mamoru always bit along her spine as he entered her from the back and pretty much everywhere else he wanted. "Trust me, it looks worse than it is."
"But I can see where his fingers went on your waist. Is he always a savage?"
She tried running away from Rei's prying eyes, but Rei was laughing behind her. When she almost slipped on the wet floor, Rei bumped into her from the excitement and she was finally able to get her towel back.
"So," Rei grinned. "He bites your ass, too?"
"If you want to know, just ask!" At that point they were both feeling silly. She bit her lip to keep from laughing, but Rei kept her mouth covered with her hands. They were both giggling so much. Finally after their giddiness had passed she caught her breath and talked specifics. "Last night he made me bend over and fingered me." Rei's eyes widened. "Hard."
"Oh my god."
"It was," she closed her eyes in remembrance, "amazing."
He bit her ass, slapped it, kissed it, you name it. A few bruises here and there were just fine with her. As a matter of fact, she liked being manhandled. She regretted nothing.
"I have to admit," Rei was redder than she'd ever seen her, "I'm a little jealous. I'm sure Mamoru can rock it."
She nodded vigorously. She wished she had a number to give Rei on the times she'd orgasmed last night, but after the third time she'd lost count. Everything blurred into each other and it was long night of dirty deeds. Before she was able to continue, they heard a knock on the door. Immediately she and Rei covered themselves and peeked from the screen they were behind. Cass walked in and she was ready to go.
"Retards," she called out. "I know you're in here. Come on, I made our lunch reservations already."
"Ok!" Rei yelled back. "We're getting dressed." They heard the door click and Rei started whispering. "I'm guessing that you don't want Cass to know."
"Not really," she admitted putting her clothes back on.
"Why? What do you think she'll say?"
"I don't know. I don't want to know."
"You should come back to the temple after we leave her. We have to catch up." She nodded thinking about a few other things she wanted to discuss about Mina. Then Rei grabbed her shoulder as she remembered something. "Oh, I totally forgot! You have no idea about Mako and Motoki's girlfriend, do you? They're like total bffs, I swear!"
"No way!"
"Yes!" No matter how many times Rei nodded her head, she was still in denial. How did that even happen? "Lately, you've been so out of the loop that you're missing all the juicy stories. Anyway, we'll talk about this later."
Wishing they could keep going on about it, she tried pressing Rei for more info but she wouldn't spill. They were already in the hallway and could see Cass waiting for them by the entrance so she gave up.
Rummaging for her lipstick, she fished her phone out of her purse and noticed Mamoru's missed calls. He had sent a few texts asking where she was with the latest one making her heart thump. 'I'm not done with you yet.' Rei peeked over her shoulder and read quickly before she was able to stop her.
"It doesn't seem like you'll be coming over after all."
She clicked her phone black, not bothering with a reply to something Rei already knew the answer.
*Mamoru*
Hours had passed since he'd messaged Usagi. It was only now, late into the evening that she had finally showed up without warning. He'd been on his way out when he'd gotten a call him from downstairs. She yelled for him once she stepped off the elevator and wandered around until she found him in the common area. She haphazardly threw her belongings right by his reading material, not appearing the least bit bothered by her tardiness and talked to him as normal.
"Hey, loser. I'm back."
He reached for the small box across the table and stood from his seat. He opened it, grabbed her wrist and slapped a watch on her. She held still as he made sure to strap it tightly.
"Don't take this off. Ever." Usagi admired her wrist.
"It's pretty." She looked up at him. "Thank you." He sat back down and she followed suit. "But have you ever considered I like showing up late?"
"No one likes being late. You're just irresponsible." He closed the gift box and tossed it aside to dump later. She wouldn't need the box since she was not allowed to take it off. "I don't appreciate my time being wasted. You'll be on time from now on."
"You can't always control me, you know." He met her stare. If she knew he was mad, she didn't show it. "And I don't even recall us making any arrangements to meet regularly." She chewed on her thumb, smiling. "Why don't you ask me if I want to keep seeing you instead of assuming." He stood and made his way to the kitchen. Perhaps if she had been on time today he may have put up with her teasing, but she hadn't so he wouldn't. She jumped out in front of him blocking his path. "Aw, don't be mad! I was just kidding!" Her hand went up his chest to his neck.
"I messaged you all morning."
"I was busy!"
"Well, I don't need you now."
She let her hand drop.
"Whatever." She went back to the room to grab both her bags from the table to leave. He pulled her back, sighing.
"Just message me back. It's not that hard to do. You didn't even tell me you were coming."
He stared at her but she refused to meet his eyes.
"I'm sorry."
"Yeah."
He took her larger bag with clothes and brought it upstairs. Inside was her school uniform for the next day and he was relieved that she had been prepared to stay with him again. It was what he'd hoped for. After making a call to cancel his outing, he met her downstairs where she had already helped herself to his fridge. She currently held a pint of chocolate ice cream and was licking a spoonful.
"Thank you," she mumbled. "For the watch. I really like it." She held the spoon out for him, but he declined. "I'm sorry for ignoring your texts earlier."
"Just stop being so elusive and show up when I want you to." He was tired of waiting. "Don't think that I'll be this aggressive with you for long." She smiled and slowly pulled the spoon from her mouth.
"So, what?" she asked. "Do I only have a few more days until you lose interest? Is that what you're saying?" She placed the ice cream down on the table.
"Maybe."
"Oh?" She flicked her wrist. "I think this watch says otherwise."
"Don't flatter yourself."
"Then who were you with before you met me?" she challenged, grabbing his face with both hands. He couldn't hide his smile from her prying eyes even if he tried. "Exactly," she smirked. "No one."
"I wouldn't be so confident if I were you."
"Why not?" She took his hand and kissed his knuckles. "Aren't I special, Mamo-chan?" She pulled his middle and pointer finger into her mouth. Her tongue went around and in between, the repetition of her strokes slow and passionate.
When he tried retrieving his hand she sucked harder. Her grip around his wrist tightened and she kept him close as to not take away her sustenance. She bit his fingertips and moaned like it was being done to her, his wet fingers leaving her mouth only once her back was against the table and they'd knocked her bag over.
They moved to the nearest comfortable seat, a loveseat one room over, and his mouth went from her cheek to her lips, down her neck. She helped take off his pants and pushed him down. Positioning herself between his legs, her hands moved up his thighs until they hit the jackpot. She rubbed him slowly, her breath giving life to his cock.
"You weren't with someone else, right?" she asked again. His mind was blank, but he managed to shake his head. He bought her head lower. "Don't lie to me."
"I wasn't." Her mouth was so close, her hands softly stroking him. He'd been waiting for this the whole day. He wanted her hands, mouth, her warm pussy wrapped around his cock.
She eyed him for a moment before blowing him a kiss. He bit his lip as he waited for her move, assisting in bringing her closer. He'd waited too long for him to not get his reward. His dick was ready to break things.
"Then is it mine?" Her grip was firm, eyes intense. He nodded. Yes. Yes. And she could do whatever she wanted with it.
She kissed his tip very softly.
"Only for me?" she asked again his head resting against her flat, wet tongue. She wiggled it around.
"Yes."
It went whole into her mouth and he leaned back with his eyes closed. After a few minutes of oral action she stood and removed her clothes before crawling on his lap so his face was perfectly leveled with her chest. Leisurely sliding him into her, she rode him slow and he struggled to keep his hands at his side.
One of her hands brushed back her hair as it fell past her shoulders and into his face, and the other pinched her nipple. Her whole show was a tease as she wouldn't even ride down his entire length, but he sat there and accepted it, relinquishing all the power to her. She knew perfectly well how to please him.
When she noticed him swallow a fair share of drool, she finally leaned forward and gifted him with something to suck on. As soon as he heard her low groan, his hands moved to her waist and pushed her all the way down.
She arched back softly tugging his balls and that was that. He came soon enough with her nipple between his teeth and her moan over his head. They leaned back into the recliner facing each other. He played with her lips.
"You can go now."
She yanked his ear so hard he thought it was going to rip from his head.
"Ow! Geez, it was a joke."
"Yeah," she stood, "well there's a time and place for everything." She put her underwear back on. "And you are always an inappropriate asshole."
"What are you going to do about it?"
She shrugged while clasping the back of her bra.
"Nothing," she smirked. "You were born that way."
He laughed and went up to her and squeezed her cheeks until her lips were puckered up.
"Exactly." He shook her head from side to side like one would a child. "Nothing." Usagi giggled for the first few seconds until he wouldn't let go and moved her head faster.
"Stop bothering me!" she whined after she was thoroughly annoyed. He finally stopped when she hit his shoulder. "Meanie."
He pulled her face closer despite her struggling and kissed her. It was fast and closed mouthed, but he felt like giving back. When he moved away, Usagi extended once more and gave him another peck before pinching his cheek.
"I forgive you."
"Never doubted it."
"Please stop talking already," Usagi muttered. "Or I really will leave."
He took the cue to cut back the teasing and focused on getting dressed.
"Are you staying over?" he asked when he was done. Her bag had been big, but he wanted to make sure. She nodded. "Then make sure not to fall asleep in front of the TV like a little kid again."
"I wasn't trying to," she scowled. "I move a lot in my sleep so I thought you'd appreciate it if I hung out downstairs. It just got late and your apartment is so creepy at night that I didn't want to venture in the dark and get lost. The lights turn off by themselves, you know."
"I was wondering why you slept downstairs. Now that I know that it's because you're afraid of the dark, I can't say I'm surprised."
"Actually, jerk off, I was up with your friends for so long I forgot all about you."
"What are you talking about?" He didn't get at all what she was saying.
He followed her as she made her way to the room he had found her in last night and watched as she dug in between the couch cushions. When she pulled out a console control triumphantly, he understood perfectly. Video games. She'd been playing video games all night… against his friends?
"They messaged me as soon as I turned it on and the temptation was too great." She turned on the console via remote and for the first time he realized that she had connected everything to his TV. He hadn't even noticed the wires this morning.
"They're such sore losers, it's pathetic."
"Who?"
"Motoki, Jed and Zoi." Hilarious. "Motoki and Jed have microphones, but Zoi doesn't. He kept sending me angry messages." Usagi's grin was too wide. "They called you a faggot about a million times," she laughed. "They had no idea it was me."
"Were you beating them?" It took a lot for Motoki to get angry and Zoi probably played this game everyday and prided himself being good at it.
"I devastated them," she insisted. "I'll show you. They said they were going to be on again tonight for a 'rematch'." She rolled her eyes and used the control to sign into his saved account instantly.
She opened the menu that showed online players. There were three and all aliases he didn't recognize but he knew that it had to be Jed, Motoki and Zoi. They were his only added 'friends'. And they were all playing the same game. Almost immediately a bubble popped up on the corner of the screen inviting him in to a new match for a first person shooter.
"Are you ready?" she asked, the smirk on her face too cute to resist. She seemed excited to have him as her audience. He nodded. This would be entertaining.
* l * l *
The game started and finished. Then it restarted and finished, and 4 matches in, Usagi hadn't died once. It was a massacre. So this was what she did in her spare time… he couldn't believe how glad he was. Every word out of Motoki and Jed made him want to kiss Usagi's toes. They were livid.
Usagi took her video games seriously. Although he believed it be a rather useless talent, he was quite proud of her. She was doing what he couldn't do and all in his name. It felt great getting his dumb friends angry. He watched their current match with intense concentration knowing that it was probably going to be their last. 5-0 would probably be the last straw for Jed.
This match took place in a post apocalyptic city and the debris littered in the streets were all props Usagi took advantage of as she peeked over the edge of a burnt car and shot (seemingly) wildly before ducking back. The screen lit up again in double headshots. Crouching around the vehicle, she ran for cover inside a building and stayed low behind a broken window. Motoki ran in the distance and her aim quickly focused on his head before she shot once. Instant kill.
She jumped out a first story window and ran toward gunfire between Zoi and Jed who were going head to head in an alleyway. She shot at both of them, killing Jed, and grabbed Motoki's dead body by her feet, using him as a shield as Zoi sprayed her non-stop. She dropped to the floor in a crawling position and aimed at Zoi just as he stopped to reload. Two shots to the head. She picked her character back up and ran past the alleyway and into a small corner between a car and gate. Motoki spawned right in front of her. She shot him before his character even finished materializing.
He couldn't stop laughing. All of the swears over the mike were too much to handle. While Jed cursed him and his offspring to an eternity in hell, Zoi typed furiously over the chat calling him all types of names. Motoki grumbled along, damning the day he'd convinced him to play. He just looked over at Usagi's concentrated face, her character hidden behind boxes, gun aimed and ready to shoot the moment anyone passed her. Then Jed passed her.
"FUCK THIS SHI-" Jed roared before all they heard was static from his end. It sounded like he'd thrown his headset in rage, no doubt breaking it in the process. Usagi dropped the controller and went into hysterics. He fell along with her. This was too much to handle.
After the screen flashed with the winner, Usagi then turned off the console and the TV went black. She was grinning broadly, awfully delighted at herself.
"They are such sore losers," he agreed with a yawn, stretching his arms out above him. It was way past midnight. He couldn't believe how much time had already passed with just a few games.
"Tell me about it." She was shaking her head. "Imagine if they knew it was me." He nodded in agreement. Part of him wanted to tell them it was Usagi. The looks on all their faces—especially Jed—would be priceless.
"Are you ready for bed?" he asked once he'd noticed her yawning. Embarrassed, she tried to stifle it and smiled weakly. "I know you had a long day. Come. The Champion needs her rest." He nudged her into walking upstairs with him, her reluctance to sleep with him now becoming obvious as she took each step with deliberate slowness.
However, as soon as they made it to his bedroom and finished brushing their teeth she was the first to collapse into his bed. She yawned again, scooted over to the far side and tucked herself under the covers. He took off his shirt and pants and climbed in with her, her eyes following his every move. Reaching out to set his alarm on his phone, he set it back on his nightstand and turned off the lamp. He felt the covers shift and he moved to lay on his side facing her.
"It's cold in here," she whispered in the dark. He could see her pulling the sheets up to her chin.
"I keep it cool to stay warm under the blankets otherwise I'll start sweating if I turn up the temperature." He reached out for her, smoothing his fingers over her side and keeping it over her stomach. She was staring at him. "You won't be cold for long."
Suddenly, she just felt too far away and he slid his hand over to the other side of her waist pulling her closer. He looked down at her as she adjusted herself comfortably, fluffing her pillow as she looked up at him.
"You're still nervous?" She didn't say anything, but he could tell. "I told you it'll be fine. You can't feel the transfer of motion." She reached behind his head and kissed him briefly.
"Tell me if you can't sleep. I'll leave."
"I guarantee that if you're moving too much, I'll push you off the bed." She closed her eyes.
"Thank you." He moved so that he laid on his back again, bringing his arms above his head and closing his eyes as well. "Goodnight," Usagi murmured beside him, her voice already thick with sleepiness. He hadn't planned on responding, never having done so before, but he heard himself answering before he even realized.
"Goodnight, Usako."
*Mamoru*
The next morning while Usagi was getting ready for school, he cleaned out of boredom. First it was the dishes Usagi hadn't let him finish last night, then he attended to the mess in the dinning table. It was a peeve of his to leave behind messes. Last night they had left everything as it was and he decided to quickly tidy up while he waited. A thick folder had slipped out of Usagi's bag and the papers had gone in every which direction, as with the rest of the bag's contents. He pooled all of her crap to the edge of the table to sort out faster. Three mismatched pens without caps along with a mechanical pencil, half a stick of gum, 4 different color hair ties, a silver bangle, heart-shaped post-it notes, a pearl compact mirror, one golden chandelier earring, clear nail polish, lipstick and lip balm tumbled across the table.
He sorted a pair of notebooks, another folder, a small stack of loose-leaf pages, two empty tin pencil cases and the silly little brooch she always pinned to her school uniform's bow, before tossing them into her purse without care. The final dilemma was finding space for her math textbook which he'd dumbly left to pack for last. He attempted twice, but his poor accommodations made it impossible so he left it out on the table for her to deal with. He doubted she used it to study or do homework to begin with so it probably wouldn't be missed. It still looked brand new and he would not be surprised if it had yet to be opened for the first time.
Out of curiosity, he flipped through it and his hunch was spot on. The crisp, rustling pages were stuck together as if still one, and yet it spit a perfectly flat little paper out from somewhere in the middle. It floated slowly to the floor and he grabbed it, flipping it over in his hands. It was a red, laced paper folded twice. A love letter. So that's what she used the book for, as storage. He opened it with a grin. What was little Odango up to?
Our anniversary isn't until Saturday, but I couldn't wait to give this to you. When I saw this keychain, I immediately thought of the summer festival and how you chased all those rabbits. Poor little things almost died of heart attacks. I had so much fun that day and that picture was so sweet that I had to put it in there. I hope you like it. I like it. I like you.
It was signed with a heart and a name, Ichigo. Almost immediately his eyes searched for her keys and he picked them up from where he had moved them aside. Squeezing the rubber rabbit between his thumb and forefinger, he studied the picture inside closely.
"Hey! I'm ready!"
He set her keys down quickly, but Usagi had already flung herself at his side. She read over his arm thinking it was something of his and immediately stiffened. She let go of him and they stood tensely to the side.
"I… uh… oh my…" She took a deep breath. "Please don't be mad at me," she whimpered. He looked calmly at her.
"Why would I be mad?"
She wouldn't face at him.
"I don't care." He folded the letter and placed it into a zippered pocket inside her bag. "In fact, I couldn't care less about whoever else you're with." He handed her bag over. The textbook remained on the table, heavy and useless. She reached out to take it but he clung on until she met his stare. "Just like you don't care about whoever else I'm with either."
Her lip trembled and he finally let go. She hesitated and stared at the floor.
"Mamoru, I'm-"
"The driver is waiting for you." And with that he turned around and waited for her to leave first.
