A/N: I should have said it in the previous chapter... Thanks to Biichi-Gi for the Shivaree idea! It was inspired!

Skye padded silently down the corridor towards the room where Fitz-Simmons were asleep. She had planned to wake Simmons and get her help with Ward.

"Skye? Sweetie. Aren't you supposed to be enjoying yourself in the arms of your groom?" Anabelle asked from the shadows. This surprised Skye as she thought she had left hours ago.

"I was, well trying to, but the guys, well that's not the point. The point is I, I mean we, need some help." Skye rambled.

"What's going on?"

"The guys have been playing jokes on us all night and so far we haven't even slept at all, let alone the other thing. Even settling on the floor is troublesome."

"Why were you asleep on the floor?" Anabelle asked, confused.

"Oh. They swapped the mattress for one with a hole cut out of the middle so we kind of fell through it. Don't worry; I'm sure they have simply hidden the original one." Skye told her, realising any damage the guys caused would reflect badly on her and Ward.

"Ok. So what do you need my help with?"

"Well, one of the pranks was a bubblebath that turned our skin green." Skye admitted.

She saw the blank look on Anabelles face and took her hand and led her to the bridal suite. Once Skye had opened the door Anabelle saw the problem.

Ward was still scratching his back using the four poster bed, but was now frantically scratching at his chest which had turned bright red and had grazes from where he had torn the skin.

"My car is out front, get him dressed and I will take you both to the hospital." Anabelle said and walked back out of the door.

"So what you are telling me is one of your friends did this to you on your wedding night as a joke?" The doctor asked Ward as he checked his body.

"Yes. Can you do anything?" Ward asked, still scratching.

"I can give you a shot of Hydrocortisone, but we will need to use an alcohol based cleaner to remove the skin tint."

"Do it." Ward said. The itching was getting worse.

The doctor injected Ward, before a nurse came in to start bathing his skin to remove the green.

Skye could hear Ward gasp and moan as the nurse caught the wounds he had opened by scratching. Her heart started to break. She hated seeing him like this. She swatted the nurse away and took the alcohol soaked swap off her and started to bathe Ward's back. By the time she had finished removing the green the doctor had come back and the hydrocortisone had kicked in.

"Feeling better?" the doctor asked Ward.

"I've stopped itching." Ward replied.

"That's good enough for me. The rash will take up to twelve hours to disappear, but here is some cream to apply if it doesn't."

"So I can go?"

"Yes. Mr Ward, you and your wife can salvage what's left of your wedding night."

Back at the hotel everyone had gathered for breakfast. It didn't take long for Ward and Skye's absence to be noticed.

They were halfway through their meal when the saw Ward and Skye stalk in. They could tell something was wrong because Ward was wearing a hoody.

"It's probably to hide his green skin." May suggested when Coulson pointed it out.

"What did you do?"

"Amber and I may have replaced their bubblebath with some trick stuff that turns skin green."

May told him with devious smile.

"They look shattered"

"I imagine they didn't sleep well on the floor." Hawkeye told them, earning a glare from everyone at the table.

"Nat and I may have swapped their mattress out for one with no centre." He admitted.

"I heard him shout at Tilly last night." Kain offered up. Stares turned to Tilly.

"I used a remote control car to attack them while they were on the floor. But he caught me."

"What else did you guys do?" Simmons asked. She was a little upset that she had not been part of it.

"I rigged the room to play 'you can keep your hat on'." Fitz contributed. Simmons looked at him as though he had betrayed her.

"And you lot wonder why he looks so pissed off." Coulson told them.

They looked at each other and realised they would not get away with this. Ward clearly knew who was behind it.

May saw Skye place a hand on Ward's arm and whisper in his ear before getting up to leave. She also saw Ward nibble at his toast. Something was wrong.

She got up from the table and went and sat in Skye's empty seat.

"What's wrong?" She asked him, trying to look into his face, which was made difficult due to the fact that he had put his hood up when he felt her approach him.

"Nothing. Just been a very long night." He replied. May knew him well enough to hear the defensiveness in his voice.

"Really? What if I get you on Fury's new lie detector?"

"It's beatable."

Skye waved him over from the doorway. She was stood with Sue and Rob's niece. She was clearly wanting to say goodbye to them so Ward got up and made his way over to them.

May, realising that she would get nowhere with Ward went back to her table.

"We are so dead." She said to the others.
