Ch 18: Pokemon Scent sation
It was early in the morning route 7 and Ash was up with his pokemon.
"Alright guys we've got our 4th gym battle today. You have all been training very hard , but only 3 of you can battle. Pikachu you were in the last battle, do you mind sitting this one out?" Ash asked.
"Pika." Pika Pikachu said nodding.
"Alright then who wants to fight in this gym battle?" Ash asked.
"Tortle!" Wartortle shouted holding his arm up.
"Saur!" Bulbasaur said.
"Free!" Butterfree said.
"Alright I guess I have my team for this battle." Ash said.
"Tortle!"
"Free!"
"Saur!".
"Now I've been told that the gym here is a grass type gym. Butterfree should have an advantage, Bulbasaur will be at an even type match, but Wartortle will be at a disadvantage. That's ok though, Wartortle you can handle any of her pokemon." Ash said.
"Tortle!".
"Alright now you should probably eat something before your battle." Ash said. An hour later after his pokemon ate, Ash and the others were in the center of Celadon city.
"Woah this city is massive." Serena said as she saw how large the buildings around her were.
"These buildings are even bigger than the ones in Lumiose city." Serena said.
"That's nothing , you should see the shopping centers." Lucy said.
"Really!" Serena said.
Ash and Pikachu sweat dropped.
"Uh well." Ash said.
"Brock we need to redirect their attention." Ash whispered.
"Are you kidding I want to go shopping too!" Brock shouted.
Ash and Pikachu sweat dropped even more.
"I really miss Red and Korrina." He said as Pikachu nodded.
Moments later Brock smelled something.
"What is that heavenly smell?" He asked.
"What?" Ash asked.
Serena and Lucy smelled it too.
"It's amazing." Serena said.
"We have to see what is." Lucy said.
"Wait guys." Ash said before Serena grabbed his arm.
"Here we go." Ash said to himself before he was pulled in that direction.
A minute or two later Ash's eyes widened as he saw the shop they were in front of.
"A perfume shop!" Serena shouted.
Brock pressed his face against the glass and saw the girls inside.
"I'm in heaven." He said before Lucy grabbed his ear and pulled him back.
Serena quickly went inside, dragging Ash along with her.
Inside the shop were several girls dressed in Kimonos with pokemon like Oddish , Weepinbell, Tangela, and Paras.
Moments later Lucy and Brock came in too.
"This smells different than the perfume in Kalos." Serena said.
"It's been so long." Lucy said.
"Hello." A soft voice said. Ash and the others turned to see a young woman around Lucy's age. She had light skin and green eyes with dark blue hair done up in Kimono style.
"Welcome to my perfume shop, the finest in all of Kanto." She said.
"It smells as good as you look!" Brock said as his face turned red and knelt down in front of her. Before the woman could say anything Lucy grabbed Brock by the ear and pulled him back.
"Are you interested in buying some?" She asked.
"Yes!" Serena said.
"Well we have a large selection, I can take you through them all." She said.
Ash and Pikachu both sweat dropped. They turned to each other and nodded.
"Guys, I just realized something. Pikachu was feeling pretty sick this morning and I needed to take him to Nurse Joy." Ash said.
"Pika." Pikachu said trying to make it sound like he was coughing.
Serena sighed not falling for what they were doing.
"Well you better get that checked out." She said with a slightly crestfallen expression.
"Right, I'll meet you at the gym later." Ash said as he and Pikachu almost ran out of the shop.
Serena wished Ash would have stayed, but at the same time she knew he wasn't into this kind of stuff. Plus he had gone along with her shopping habits plenty of times in the past, it wasn't like he didn't try . Sometimes she just had to let him go when he really didn't want to do something. It's not like he forced her to go to everything he wanted to do.
"Ashamed he couldn't stay, now to show you our product." The woman said.
"Yes show us all of them!" Brock said before Lucy grabbed his ear again.
Elsewhere Ash and Pikachu had gotten some distance between them and the shop and were walking by some smaller buildings.
"That was close." Ash said.
"Pika." Pikachu said nodding.
"The only problem is if Serena spends as much time at that perfume shop as the ones in Kalos, they'll be there for a while. What are we going to do in the mean time?" Ash asked.
"Pika." Pikachu said giving him a suggestion.
"Maybe." Ash said. That was when he felt something. Two very familiar aura presences close to him.
Above the two were a pair of young adults who were parkouring across the rooftops following them.
When he passed by a flower shop with 2 piles of flowers he heard what sounded like a Pidgeot cry and rustling in the flowers.
Ash smiled.
"I'm not some idiot rocket grunt, you can't sneak up on me." Ash said. He turned around as another aura guardian burst out of the flowers and came at Ash. He nearly tackled Ash , but Ash kept his stance strong.
"Dam almost had you."
"Not this time bro." Ash said. The guardian lowered his hood revealing it was none other than Red.
"Don't forget about me." Another aura guardian came out of the flowers with her hood down revealing it was Korrina.
"Korrina, Red. I didn't know you guys were going to be here." Ash said.
"We figured you'd be here eventually if you wanted a rainbow badge." Red said.
"So how are you holding up Pikachu?" Korrina asked as she rubbed the side of his head.
"Pika." Pikachu said sounding happy to see his old friends again.
"Been taking good care of my little brother for me?" Red asked.
"Pika." Pikachu said laughing a little.
"Hey where's Serena?" Korrina asked.
"She's with Brock and Lucy at the perfume shop." Ash said.
"Brock, Lucy?" Red asked.
"Lucy as in the frontier Brain slash aura guardian?" Korrina asked.
"Yes." Ash said. Red and Korrina looked very confused.
"I'll explain later." Ash said.
"So you ditched out on the perfume shop." Red said.
"I don't blame you. I'd rather be captured by rocket grunts than stuck in a perfume shop." Korrina said.
"Yup, it's things like that which made me appreciate having you guys in the group." Ash said.
"So you're just waiting for them to finish up before you go to the gym?" Red asked.
"Yeah but you guys know Serena, that could be a while." Ash said.
"Well, if you have time you could always hang out with us." Korrina said.
"I'd love to." Ash said. Red and Korrina quickly scaled up the side of the nearest building with Ash close behind.
Elsewhere back at the Perfume shop Serena, Brock , and Lucy were with the owner as she showed them the last of her product.
"So what do you think?" She asked.
"They're all so amazing, I wish I could get them all." Serena said.
"Well the 3 of us could each buy a number of them then share." Lucy said.
"Great idea!" Brock said.
"Excellent." The woman said. After the 3 paid for their perfume they met up by the door.
"Alright we should head to the gym now, Ash is probably already there." Serena said.
"Wait you're going to the gym." The owner said.
"Yeah." Lucy said.
"I could take you there myself." She said.
"Why?" Serena asked.
"My name is Erika, I'm the gym leader." She said.
"Wow really." Brock said.
"Yes, come with me." She said.
Elsewhere Ash was standing on top of a massive skyscraper , synchronizing his aura to the area around him.
"I always love doing that." Ash said.
"Being a full time guardian lets you do it all the time." Korrina said.
"So have you caught any new pokemon?" Red asked.
"I've caught 6 more as a matter of fact, a Primeape and Krabby that are with Oak. I have the other 4 with me." Ash said as he let out his other pokemon.
"Cool you caught a Butterfree, Pidgeotto, Bulbasaur, and a Wartortle." Korrina said.
"That means you have all 3 Kanto starters. Are you planning on giving them a Venusaurite and Blastoisnite?" Red asked.
"Probably if they reach the final stage of evolution." Ash said.
"How are you doing Charizard?" Korrina asked.
"Grauu." Charizard growled back while smiling. He too was happy to see Red and Korrina again.
"What about you guys, have you caught any new pokemon?" Ash asked.
"As a matter of fact we have." Red said. He and Korrina let out the pokemon they had with them. Korrina had her Lucario, Machamp, and Meinfoo. However, she now also had a Hitmonchan and Hitmonlee.
Red has his Charizard, his Noivern, and Aero. He also had 3 new pokemon including, a Golduck, a Tauros, and another pokemon.
It was a massive dragon with soot black covering on its back and most of the front. It had black skin covering its torso, tail tip, and thighs, as well as red talons and claws. Its large tusks, which resembled scythes, were black and edged in red, and are located on its upper jaw on the side of its mouth. Its medium-sized eyes were red with black pupils. Ridged plate-like skin traveled from its back to its head region. It had solid armor and the legs and tail have a dividing line pattern. Its arms were quite small, with three digits with two elliptical triceps and biceps and circular elbows. Its hands were small and circular with small red claws. Its legs were formidable and strong with three toed feet with a red talon on each toe.
"What is that?" Ash asked as he opened his pokedex.
"Haxorus, the Axe Jaw Pokémon and Axew's final evolved form. Haxorus is normally considered friendly. Its body is covered with a tough armor, and its tusks cannot be broken."
Ash noticed the Haxorus in the picture had yellow armor while this one had black.
"This is a shiny Haxorus" Red said.
Ash's Pokemon were just as amazed as Ash at the sight of this mighty black dragon.
"How did you come across him?" Ash asked.
"A few years ago, he was a young Axew who escaped team rocket and took refuge in Mt. Moon. A group of rocket hunters lead by Duncan the dragon were going after him. Lucky we were there to stop them and rescued him." Korrina said.
"After we rescued him , Axew started to bond with me and after a while I decided to catch him. Now he's an aura guardian too." Red said.
"Well congratulations" Ash said.
Ash's Charizard walked over to Red's Charizard and his Haxorus.
"Grauuu." He growled asking Red's Charizard how he had been.
"Gruaaa". Red's Charizard growled back saying they had been doing a lot of good over the last 5 years.
"Grauu." Ash's Charizard growled saying Ash he had been battling professional pokemon and became stronger than the last time they battled.
"Gruaa." Red's Charizard growled back saying he still wasn't as strong as him.
"Grouuu." Haxorus growled introducing himself.
"So why are you guys here in Celadon city anyway?" Ash asked.
"Well, the local guardian guild here said there's been a lot of rocket activity around here. We thought we'd come and led a hand." Korrina said.
"We heard rumors that our old friends the rocket duo are leading them." Red said.
"Jessie and James, plus that talking Meowth." Ash said as Pikachu growled at the thought of them.
"So tell us more about this Brock in you're traveling with." Korrina said.
"Well he's the son of the Pewter city gym leader and wants to be a Pokemon breeder." Ash said.
"That sounds interesting. Taking care of pokemon." Red said.
"He's also a great cook, you should try some of the stuff he makes. He's also one of the nicest person I've ever met." Ash said.
"Well isn't that interesting. Some guy who is perfect joins the group." Red said.
"Oh he's not perfect, he's got a big weakness. Pretty girls." Ash said as he went over what Brock did around pretty girls.
"Wow." Red said.
"What do you guys do about it?" Korrina asked.
"We don't Lucy does." Ash said as he explained how she grabbed his ears.
"Wow." Korrina said.
"There is one girl that he goes crazy over that she doesn't interfere with. Herself." Ash said.
"So they like each other." Korrina said.
"Yeah they're just both to naive to to anything about it." Ash said.
"Kind of like you and Serena the first month of our Journey in Kalos." Red said.
"Ha ha." Ash said.
"So how did Lucy join your group anyway. I remember we did an assignment or two with her. " Korrina said.
"We met her at a town near Cerulean city and I beat her in a battle. She claimed she wanted a chance to see all of Kanto, but I think she really wanted to be around Brock." Ash said.
"Too bad Bonnie's not around to push them together like you and me." Korrina said as she put her arms around Red's shoulder and rubbed her head against his shoulder.
"So Ash, have you ever considered taking the next step with Serena?" Red asked.
"What do you mean?" Ash asked.
"I mean have you considered proposing to her?" Red asked.
"What!?" Ash said as his face turned red.
"Come on Ash we all know you'll never love any girl like you love her." Korrina said.
"Don't tell me the thought has never passed your mind." Red said.
Ash sighed.
"To be honest the thought has come to mind once or twice. I mean you aren't wrong, I love her more than any other girl in this world. I do want to spend the rest of my life with her, but we're only 20 years old, that's a bit young." Ash said.
"Come on you're already living together. By the way have you guys been?." Korrina started.
"We haven't done that ever." Ash interrupted.
"I knew you wouldn't unless you were married." Red said looking impressed.
"Wait a minute have you two been?" Ash asked.
"No." They said in unison.
"We live by the same beliefs you do Ash." Red said.
"So are you two getting married some time. I mean you two have to be as in love as me and Serena." Ash said.
"Well we have talked about it before. We decided to wait until we spent another year doing as much work for the brotherhood as possible before then. Because once we get married it won't be long until we start having kids, and that will take up more time." Korrina said.
"Won't be long until you have kids." Ash said as he and Pikachu sweat dropped.
"Yup." Red said as his face turned red and Korrina rubbed her face against his head.
"Um, ok. Can we change the subject." Ash said.
"Yeah." Red said.
"So Ash would you mind if we came to see your match." Red asked.
"I'd love for you guys to be there. You have to meet Brock and Lucy." Ash said.
"We have met Lucy though. Then again it was at least 2 years ago, I wonder if she'll even remember us?" Korrina asked.
"Maybe we should head down to the gym. They could be done by now and told them to meet me there." Ash said.
"Alright I know a fast way there." Red said as he returned his pokemon with the other 2 then began parkouring across the rooftops with Ash and Korrina close behind.
Meanwhile Erika lead Brock, Serena, and Lucy into her gym.
"Welcome to the Celadon city gym." She said.
"Wow this place is amazing." Serena said as she saw the interior of the gym.
"Guys I'm back." Erika said as they walked into a large room filled with plants. There was no response.
"Guys. Wait where is everyone and the pokemon?" She asked.
Lucy felt a large amount of hostile aura around them and drew her hidden blades.
"Something wrong here." She said.
That was when the lights went out and she used her aura vision.
"Oh no." She said.
Elsewhere Ash, Red, and Korrina each performed a leap of faith from the top of a large building into a pile of leaves below it.
"I love doing that." Korrina said as she stepped out of the leaves.
"There she is the Celadon city gym." Red saw as Ash saw the large building in front of them. The building itself was large and circular with what looked like the top of a gloom as the roof.
"Interesting design." Ash said as he and Pikachu sweat dropped.
"Yeah, I never really liked the gym leader here. She seemed to prissy for me." Korrina said.
The 3 reached the gym entrance and knocked on the door.
"Hello." Ash said. There was no response.
"Hello." Red said as he knocked on the door. That was when the top half of the door opened revealing 2 woman in Kimonos standing on the other side.
"The gym is closed, come back another time." One said in a rather unfriendly manner.
"Closed, the gym shouldn't be closed at this time." Korrina said.
"Well it is, go away." The other said before they slammed the top half of the door shut.
"Pikachu." Pikachu said sounding a bit offended. All 3 aura guardians could feel a level of hostile aura coming from inside the gym.
"Something's not right here." Red said.
"You're right. There's something going on in the gym and we need to find out what." Korrina said.
That is when Ash realized something important.
"Wait , Serena and the others aren't here." He said.
"They probably went looking for you when they couldn't get in. We can find them later." Red said before he began scaling the side of the building wall.
"Come on Ash." Korrina said as she followed him.
Ash began scaling the side of the building and followed the others inside a ventilation shaft.
"That's convenient that it's big enough for us to crawl through." Red said.
"Hold on, use your aura vision. I feel movement below us." Ash said. The 3 concentrated and used their aura vision. They saw 3 people below them with hostile aura around them.
"Looks like we got some not so friendlies below us." Red said.
"Allow me." Korrina said.
She burst out of the shaft and slammed her palm into the floor as she hit. As she did, she unleashed a pulse of aura that knocked the other 3 people in the hallway into the walls. Korrina looked up and saw they were Kimono girls each with an electric baton in hand. Before they could recover she sprinted over and slammed her forearms into their necks, nocking them out.
The third came up from behind and tried to smash her baton into Korrina's head.
Korrina spun around and used her right hidden blade to slice the electric baton in half. Korrina then acrobatically leapt off the wall and did a front flip, smashing her foot into the girl's face before she landed.
"Never liked you Kimono girls." Korrina said smiling. Ash and Red leapt out of the ventilation shaft and into the hallway.
"Hey these girls are wearing the same Kimono robes as the girls at the perfume shop." Ash said.
"Never trust those who work at a perfume shop." Korrina said.
"I love you." Red said.
"Come on you guys, we've got work to do." Ash said. The 3 left the hallway and entered what looked like a large pokemon enclosure filled with grass and various plants growing around it.
Strangely enough, there were no pokemon except several Rattata walking around with a few Kimono girls wielding electric batons.
"Let's split up and meet at the door on the other side of the room." Red said.
Red quietly made his way through the bushes and up to a Kimono girl standing in front of it. He then quickly came up and put her in a sleepers hold before quietly placing her in the bush. Once he did he carefully moved to the edge of the bush then sprinted to another and made his way to another Kimono girl standing at the edge and did the same.
Elsewhere Korrina hid inside a large bush of flowers as a Kimono girl walked by. When she was close enough , Korrina reached out and grabbed her before pulling her in and knocking her out. When the cost was clear Korrina quietly sprinted out and into another bush of flowers as another Kimono girl walked by. Once again Korrina reached out and pulled her in.
Ash was hiding behind a tree as a Kimono girl walked by. Just before she could see him, Ash came out and put her in a chokehold, knocking her out as he carefully placed her behind the tree.
He then climbed up the tree and carefully moved across the branch before leaping over to another when he saw a Kimono girl below him. Ash positioned himself then leapt down and landed on top of her, knocking her to the ground and knocking her unconscious.
He then rushed over to a pile of flowers as a third Kimono girl came by after hearing the noise. As she walked by, Ash reached out and pulled her inside, knocking her out once she was there.
It was at that point the 7 Rattata realized their trainers had all vanished.
"Thunder!" Ash shouted.
Pikachu leapt out of the bush and unleashed a massive bolt of electricity.
"Chu!" He shouted as he electrified all 7 Rattata, knocking them out.
"Too easy." Korrina said as she and Red came out of their hiding places.
"I'm starting to think these Kimono girls aren't really trainers here." Ash said.
"Yeah, most grass type gym trainers carry grass type pokemon and don't have electric batons." Korrina said.
"I hope the gym leader and her pokemon are safe." Red said.
"There's only one way to know for sure." Korrina said. Pikachu climbed back onto Ash's shoulder as he walked with Red and Korrina out of the enclosure and into the next room.
The next area was another enclosure too, only much bigger than the last one. Inside were several more Kimono girls with Rattatas beside them.
around them were several girls in their underwear tied to trees with tape over their mouths and over a dozen grass type pokemon locked away in cages.
In the center of the enclosure was a large platform that came up almost 6 meters off the ground. In front of the platform was none other than Serena , Brock, and Lucy, all tried together with tape over their mouths.
"Serena!" Ash shouted.
"Pika!". Upon hearing Ash's voice, Serena and Brock turned to him.
"Mmp!" They shouted with muffled voices. Lucy did not turn, her eyes were closed showing she was still unconscious.
Standing around the 3 were none other than the junior rocket officers Cassidy and Butch with 2 rocket sentinels beside them.
Standing on top of the platform was none other than Jessie, James, Meowth, and another 2 rocket sentinels standing over the perfume shop owner who was at their feet.
"This could have all been so much easier if you had just given us what we wanted from the start." Jessie said.
"Yes, now you , your trainers, and your pokemon had to suffer the consequences." James said as they revealed a Vileplume covered in burn marks and two Magmortars standing over her.
"Why did you want all of my stores of her toxic gas?" Erika asked.
"I'm afraid you won't be around to find out." Jessie said before she picked up Erika and threw her off the platform.
"Plume!" Vileplume shouted as she saw her trainer fall.
"Ahh!" Erika screamed as she fell.
"Go Charizard!" Ash shouted as he threw his pokeball forward. The mighty fire dragon flew out and quickly caught Erika in his arms and flew back to Ash.
"What's this." Meowth said as he and the other rocket members turned to see the 3 aura guardians.
"Well well well, what do we have here. The twerp triplets are back together." Meowth said.
"Team rocket!" Ash shouted.
"In the flesh." James said.
"Jessie, James, Meowth. Huh and those junior officers we've heard about. Cassidy and Batch." Korrina said.
"It's Butch!" Butch shouted.
"No one cares!" Meowth shouted at him.
"So this is your doing." Red said.
"That's right, these foolish girls though they could throw us out of their gym. Little did they know that it was in inside job." James said.
"Inside job?" Ash asked.
"That's right the gym's security readouts were given to us by one of your former trainers. I suppose you should be careful about who you make your enemies." Jessie said.
"The thing is we've got what we want out of this stupid gym, now we're all set to blow it up!" Meowth said as he held a detonator in his hand.
"Don't you dare!" Korrina shouted.
"Or what, we're the ones holding all the cards." James said.
"Yeah and once we leave this place, Saffron will." Cassidy started before one of the sentinels drew his blade and held it to her throat.
"Quite you fool!" Jessie shouted.
"Sorry." Cassidy said sweating.
"In any case, there's nothing you can do. We have your friends and all these girls." James said.
Ash, Red, Korrina, and Pikachu all knew they were in a tough situation and if they didn't so something quick, lives would be lost.
"Say maybe we could make a trade. Your little girlfriend for that powerful Pikachu." Butch said.
"Butch you imbecile, why would we care about one little Pikachu , no matter how powerful it is!" James shouted.
"Yeah why would we waist time and resources to go after one Pikachu." Meowth shouted.
"It was just an idea sir." Butch said.
"Well keep your ideas to yourself!" Jessie shouted.
"We've got a gym to blow up." James said.
"I think I have an idea. It won't be easy, but it could work." Ash said as he explained it to the others via aura message.
"I didn't know Pikachu knew that move." Korrina said.
"He learned it a few months ago." Ash said.
"That could work, but we'll need to move fast." Red said.
"Meowth activate the first bombs." Jessie said.
"Gotcha." The Meowth said as he reached down.
Ash unleashed a small burst of aura that flew through the air and knocked the detonator out of Meowth's paw.
"Hey!" He shouted.
"Flash!" Ash shouted.
"Pika, chu!" Pikachu shouted as he sparked his cheeks and unleashed a blinding light that light up the entire room and turned everyone's vision white.
"I can't see!" Butch shouted.
Ash,Korrina, and Red were able to use their aura vision to see through the light and made their way across the room , knocking out the rocket grunts disguised as Kimono girls one by one.
When the light faded Jessie and James saw all of their grunts and their pokemon had been knocked out.
"Grunts are useless." Jessie said.
The two sentinels on the ground drew their blades as they each let out a Magmortar.
Korrina let out her Lucario as Pikachu and Charizard came over to support Ash and Korrina.
"Ok go get em." Cassidy said as their sentinels drew their blades and went at the aura guardians.
Ash drew his hidden blades and lunged at the sentinel, who blocked his strikes with his sword. At the same time Korrina's strikes were also blocked by the other sentinel's sword.
Korrina's Lucario leapt up and over the first Magmortar's flamethrower before slamming a Power up punch into his chest as Charizard unleashed a Dragon pulse that tore through the second Magmortar's lava plume and smashed into him.
The two Magmortars were hurled into each other before Pikachu sprinted at them both and unleashed a powerful Volt tackle that knocked them out.
At the same time Korrina leapt up and did a front flip over the first sentinel before delivering a powerful kick to his calf and slamming her left hidden blade into the back of his neck.
Ash blocked the second sentinel's strike the leapt up and into the sentinel, plowing his knee into the man's face and hurling him into the ground as he plunged his right hidden blade into the sentinel's chest.
"Run." Butch said.
"Yeah!" Cassidy shouted as the junior officers ran off as fast as they could.
While Ash and Korrina did this, Red scaled the platform until he reached the top.
The two sentinels up there had already climbed down to fight the other guardians. Once he was at the top Red let out his Haxorus and drew his hidden blades.
"Been too long rocket duo." He said.
"Trio." Moewth growled.
"So you want to play boy , alright." James said as he let out his Nidoking.
Jessie let out her Nidoqueen as Haxourus stepped up to meet them.
The two rocket officers drew large combat knives and held them up as Red slowly approached them.
Red lunged his right hidden blade forward only to have Jessie block it. Meowth drew his claws and tried to slash Red from behind. Red felt him and did a backflip, kicking Meowth forward in the process.
At the same time Nidoking leapt forward and tried to kick Haxorus with Double kick. Haxorus came forward and slammed his Dragon tail into the Nidoking's stomach, hurling him into the ground off the platform.
At the same time the Nidoqueen tried to hurl a several rocks at Haxorus. The massive black dragon turned around and raised his arm before unleashing a mighty Dragon claw that tore through the rocks and continued on, hitting Nidoqueen and hurling her off the platform.
Meanwhile Red blocked knife strikes from Jessie and James with his hidden blades before Meowth tried to come up from behind and slash him with his claws.
Red unleashed a burst of aura that knocked all 3 away. As the rocket officers stumbled backwards Red did a spinning jump kick and smashed James in the chest, hurling him off the platform. Jessie charged at him only to have Red duck down and force her over his body and off the platform.
Meowth made one last ditch effort to strike at Red, only to be hurled back by Red's foot.
The 3 rocket officers were caught by their pokemon below.
They turned to see Korrina and Ash plunge their hidden blades into he remaining sentinels.
"Dam, looks like retreat is our best option now." James said.
"Agreed. Until next time twerps." Jessie said. She hurled a flashing into the ground that made everyones vision go white.
Ash and the others tried to use their aura vision but the rocket officers and their pokemon were gone.
"Dam it, they got away again." Korrina said.
"At least everyone is safe." Ash said as he walked over to Serena and used his hidden blades to cut her loose.
"Ash! Thank goodness you're here I was so scared." She said as she wrapped her arms around him as tight as she possibly could.
Korrina began freeing the trainers while Red helped the wounded Vileplume down from the platform. After everyone was free they met up with Erika and her trainers outside.
The Kanto army had sent a platoon over to secure the rocket grunts and were inside the gym escorting them out.
"Well that was certainly unpleasant." One of the girls said.
"I'm just glad it was a female grunt that stripped me instead of that creepy looking green haired officer." Another said.
"On behalf of the Celadon city gym, you three have our thanks for what you did today. You saved my life, the lives of my trainers, and my pokemon." Erika said as she rubbed her Vileplume.
"I was told you wanted to challenge me for a gym badge. If you'd like I could give you one for what you did, you've certainly earned it." Erika said.
"Thank you, but no thank you. I'm an aura guardian, protecting people and pokemon is my duty. Besides I want to earn that badge the right way." Ash said.
"Very well, tomorrow my pokemon and the gym should be ready to challenge you. Meet me at the gym any time after 2:00 if you'd like to battle." Erika said.
"Sounds good." Ash said.
"Pika."
Later that night Ash and the others had all met at the pokemon center.
"And before we even knew what was going on they all jumped Lucy and hit her with their electric batons." Brock said.
"I can't believe I let them get the drop on me." Lucy said sounding ashamed.
"It's ok I doubt any aura guardian could have done anything different." Brock said as he took her hands and knelt down in front of her. Lucy's face turned red.
"Red, Korrina, it's really good to see you guys again. I feels weird doing all this traveling and not having you guys in the group." Serena said.
"Well it was weird for a while to going around just the two of us." Korrina said.
"Just the two of you, ahem." Lucy said.
"With the occasional help from other aura guardians." Red said.
"So Serena how are you new pokemon doing?" Korrina asked.
"They're doing fine, lucky none of them were out during the incident at the gym today." Serena said as she let out her pokemon.
They Charla, Nidoran, Absol, and Eevee.
"So your Charmander evolved." Red said.
"Wow that 's one young Eevee." Korrina said as she knelt down in front of him.
"Eevee."
"Did you hatch him?" She asked.
"No." Serena said as she went over the chain of events.
"I see." Korrina said.
"You know guys, it's getting pretty late. After everything that happened today I wouldn't mind some rest." Brock said.
"Sounds good." Red said.
The group got themselves a few rooms in the pokemon center. Later Ash was in his room sitting on the bed with Pikachu already asleep at the food of the bed.
He was thinking about what Red and Korrina had talked to him about that day. About his relationship with Serena. It also made him think about the danger she was in that day, and the danger he always seemed to get her into just by having her travel with him.
It made him realize that Red and Korrina had a point. There was no one else he wanted to be with.
That was when Serena came out of the bathroom having finished her shower.
"You know I'm really getting sick of the rocket duo. I couldn't imagine having to deal with them almost every day." Serena said as she walked over to Ash.
"Yeah wouldn't that be something." He said. Serena let her hair down as she took off her t-shirt and pulled down her shorts. Ash looked back at her and then wrapped her arms around her stomach before pulled her onto the bed.
"Woah. Ash." She said as her face turned red.
Ash laid her down and gave her a long kiss as he stroked the side of her face with his hand.
"Where did that come from?" She asked.
"I guess it's days like this when I see you in danger that makes me appreciate the time I have with you." Ash said.
"Maybe team rocket showing up more wouldn't be so bad." Serena thought to herself. She wrapped her own arms around Ash's chest before pulling him back down and kissing him. As she did this Ash moved his hands down from her back to her panties.
Elsewhere in Kanto Jessie , James, and Meowth stood with Cassidy and Butch in front of a projection of the man from the office.
"Is it done?" He asked.
"Yes sir, all of the gas has been transported to our men near Saffron city." James said.
"Outstanding, our plan is nearly complete. Get to your designated points and be ready." The man said before the holovision ended.
"So now what?" Cassidy said.
"What nothing? You two idiots ran off when things got bad, your lucky I don't cut ya heads off." Meowth shouted at them.
"He's right, unless you want to incur our wrath you'll run off and see if someone else if unfortunate enough to get your help." James said.
"Alright." Butch said as he and Cassidy back away then ran.

Vastly different than the anime here, yup Red and Korrina are back, they will also be in the next chapter, it was nice working with them again.
Also to prevent any of you from asking , Ash and Serena did not do it at the end of this chapter.
Expect some big things to happen soon and a lot of action.
Also I don't mean so sound like a whiner here, but when you guys leave reviews, could you clarify what you like about the chapters with some detail, It's not that I don't appreciate each review, but when I get one that just says, Awesome chapter, It doesn't tell me what you liked about it.
Just some more descriptive feedback will go a long way in helping me improve the story even more.
