Thank you so much for your response on the previous chapters! I am really glad you like the story so far and I hope you will like this chapter as well. Please tell me what you think after!

2 days later

Chase tried to turn around, his body sore and heavy and he just laid on his back. At least the nausea was gone for a bit now, but he wasn't feeling much better. But the tests the last few days were hopeful. There was no blood in his urine anymore and his kidneys were getting stronger again.

He tried to fall asleep but then the door burst open and Cameron and Foreman were pushing the white board they used in the office inside.

''Cuddy didn't want me writing on the glass door anymore so I thought that bringing the white board instead would be better.'' House said as he let Cameron and Foreman take it inside.

''Since when do you listen to Cuddy?'' Chase asked then and House felt a little relieved he was talking.

''Since she threatened to let us both pay for the glass wall I decided not to do it. Because I will let you pay for it, but since you are sick now…that seems so rude.'' House said then.

Cameron walked to the bed and Chase wanted to sigh because he was really not looking forward to her compassion again.

''I think you should tell House that you are not ready for getting back to work, we will take the board out of here again, you should rest.'' She said and he looked at her, angry.

''I can decide that for myself.'' He said as he didn't want her making these choices for him. Maybe shew as right but if he wanted to rest, he could have said that himself. She didn't have to decide that for him.

''Fine, sorry.'' She said as she didn't want to make him upset. Foreman walked out to get the files.

''I am so happy you are doing better.'' Cameron said then. ''Just today and you will be through the chemo.''

''Yeah, right.'' He said then, trying to smile because he knew that she just tried to be nice and she right. He was happy that he was off the chemo tomorrow and that he would hopefully be able to focus on his recovery. He was starting to feel better and while his white blood cells were killed by the chemo and suppress his overly active immune system, his platelets were stable, which made him hopeful. House walked out to pick something up and Chase sighed because he was really stuck with Cameron.

''Why did House do this?'' Chase said then, softly.

''Well, he figured that it might drag you though the last day, cheer you up.'' Cameron said and Chase didn't say anything, not because he didn't want to but he felt so tired and weak. But it was a good gesture and it saved him an afternoon of looking at the ceiling.

''I brought you a new card as well. I thought it was funny.'' She said and she grabbed her bag, took an envelope from it and handed it to him.

''I figured I could visit it tonight but I can give it now.'' She said and he opened the envelope and looked at the card with a kangaroo and surf board. He wondered where she had found it and he thought it

was a bit childish, but it was a sweet and thoughtful. Her handwriting had written get well soon in the card and her name and he put it on the nightstand.

''Thank you.'' He said and Foreman and House came walking back in. House started to write the symptoms on the board and Chase read then. He was too tired to read it, but he hoped he could still help and it was nice that they did this to make him feel better.

''it could be anemia.'' Chase said then, looking at the symptoms.

''No, it can't be anemia.'' Cameron started.

''It could be.'' Chase said but his voice was hardly strong enough for the others to hear.

''It can't be!'' Foreman yelled loud.

''Don't yell around Chase.'' Cameron said, crossing her arms. Chase cringed because she was protecting him again while he didn't ask for him and he closed his eyes. Hopefully they would yelling then, hopefully they would just stop bothering him now.

''Oh, if Chase would mind me yelling he should say something.'' Foreman said then.

''What do you think, Chase?'' House asked, to stop Foreman's and Cameron's bickering and they looked at the man in the bed. But Chase hadn't picked up most of their fight as he was fast asleep. He was even soring softly and House squinted but let it go then.

''Looks like you have at least bored him to sleep.'' House said dryly. '' It is anemia. Go treat her and then go bore people to sleep in the clinic and sign me in and off again too. At least two hours.''

They left the room and House shook his head.

''Open your eyes, sleeping beauty.'' House said then and Chase opened one eye.

''How did you know I was faking?'' He whispered and House moved a little closer so Chase didn't have to talk to loud because he was really losing most of his energy now.

''Because you just softly snored…and you don't snore.'' House said and Chase opened both eyes.

''How do you know I don't snore?'' Chase asked then.

''I am your doctor, I check on you ever now and then.''

Chase let go of a small smile.

''I just don't like the fighting right now…You never checked on your patients before.''

''Well, you are somebody of my team. You are sort of special.'' House smirked and he got up then.

''Get some rest.'' He said then, checking if the IV's were still good. ''Tomorrow we should host a party, because you made it through lose dose chemo and your kidneys are doing better.''

''No party…but I am getting better.'' Chase smiled then.

''Yeah, don't be so surprised, I promised, remember?'' House said like he was so stating the obvious and he stood by the bed just a second before Chase was dozing off again.

''Thank you.'' Chase said softly before falling asleep and House walked out. Although Chase would get better for now soon, he knew that Chase would have to live with this disease.

But he would make sure he would see the signs in the future, so Chase would never get this sick again.

NOTE: Chase got surprised when the office was suddenly moved to his room and he got to help with diagnose but with Foreman and Cameron fighting around him, he faked to fall asleep and they left and House told him he was doing better and that things are looking hopeful and Chase thanked House. House knows that Chase won't be better but he will keep an eye on him so they will find it in time when he gets sick again.

Upcoming: Chase gets a message from somebody unexpected from Australia.
