Chapter 24: Battle of the Silence Bridge
It was early in the morning on route 12 and Ash was up with his pokemon. Pikachu smashed his Iron tail into several head sized rocks, launching them at Primeape.
"Karate chop!" Ash shouted. Primeape leapt up and smashed the first incoming rock with his arm. Crushing it into pebbles. He then leapt to the next one and did the same. One by one he smashed the incoming rocks until they were all gone.
"Great work Primeape." Ash said.
"Pika!" Pikachu shouted.
"Prime!" Primeape shouted holding his arms up. Primeape was also impressed with his new physical abilities. He was moving faster, more agile, and had more strength.
Meanwhile Charizard held over football sized rocks and faced Haunter.
"Grauu!" Charizard roared as he hurled them at Haunter.
"Shadow claw!" Ash shouted.
Haunter smiled as his claws were covered in dark violet energy before he slashed each of the incoming rocks with great speed. Slashing them into smaller rocks that landed around him.
"Night shade!" Ash shouted.
"Haunt." Haunter said as his eyes glowed violet and he unleashed a powerful wave of ghost energy that instantly smashed the last 3 rocks into pebbles.
"Alright Haunter, you're getting faster and stronger too." Ash said.
"Haunt!" Haunter shouted in excitement. Since Ash caught him and opened up an aura connection with him, every bit of training he did felt like it was increasing his senses and abilities greatly.
He felt stronger and more agile than he ever had before. He felt like he could take on 2 Gengars. Primeape felt the same way. However, Ash , Pikachu, and Charizard had also taught them to be respectful of their new abilities and not to get arrogant with them.
"Alright your turn Bulbasaur." Ash said as Bulbasaur stepped up. Bulbasaur had already been working up a good sweat from the training he had been doing that morning. But he was as determined as ever to continue improving himself.
Charizard and Pikachu stood in front of him both with maniacal smiles on their faces.
"Grauu!" Charizard roared as he unleashed several football sized rocks at Bulbasaur.
"Dodge them!" Ash shouted.
"Saur!" Bulbasaur shouted as he quickly evaded each rock as fast as he could. Ash was pleased to see Bulbasaur was moving faster and faster every time they trained.
"Pika , chu!" Pikachu shouted as he unleashed several larger rocks with his tail.
"Vine whip!" Ash shouted.
"Bulba!" Bulbasaur shouted as he unleashed his vines forward and tore the first rock. He then quickly retracted them before unleashing them on the second then third rocks. Smashing them into pebbles.
"Alright." Ash said.
"Grauu!" Charizard shouted as he hurled another 6 rocks at Bulbasaur.
"Razor leaf!" Ash shouted.
"Saur!" Bulbasaur shouted as he unleashed a barrage of sharp leaves that cut the incoming rocks into pebbles.
"Pika, Pikachu!" Pikachu shouted as he launched another 3 large rocks at Bulbasaur.
"Take down!" Ash shouted.
"Bulba, Saur!" Bulbasaur shouted as he charged forward with glowing orange and red energy around him.
"Wait, hold on." Ash said as Bulbasaur smashed through all 3 rocks at the same time.
"That's not Take down. That's double edge! Bulbasaur you just learned Double edge!" Ash shouted.
"Bulba!" Bulbasaur shouted sounding proud before the recoil pain made him grunt.
"Saur." He said.
"Right, we have to be careful with that." Ash said sweat dropping.
An hour later he finished training with most of his pokemon before giving Pikachu and Charizard a two hour much harder training session.
When it was 10:30 Ash stopped.
Pikachu and Charizard were both covered in sweat.
"Alright guys, that's enough let's get some breakfast." Ash said. He lead them to the rest of the group.
He sat down after giving each of his pokemon a bowl of food.
"Morning Ash, how did training go?" Serena asked.
"It went good, Bulbasaur learned Double edge." Ash said.
"That's great." Brock said.
"How about you Serena, how is Misdreavus doing?" Ash asked.
"She seems better after what happened yesterday. Nidoran and Charla are both doing very well." Serena said.
"Well we're getting close to the Silence bridge." Brock said.
"Silence bridge?" Serena asked.
"It's a bridge that runs along the coastline. It's basically route 12." Brock said.
"Why is it called Silence bridge?" Serena asked.
"Because a lot of fishermen like to catch water pokemon there. They generally prefer it to be quite so the pokemon aren't scared away." Lucy said.
"Really?" Serena asked thinking that was a weird reason for it to be called silence bridge.
"Well I did once hear this story about a Snorelax that blocked the path because he was asleep until a trainer played some kind of flute that woke him up." Ash said.
"Who told you that story?" Brock asked.
"Red." Ash said.
Forty minutes later Ash and the others were at the end of the path way between the cliffside and saw the beginning of a large wooden bridge that went over the coastline. To the left was the ocean and to the right the edge of the mainland.
"Here we are Silence bridge." Brock said.
"We've got a long walk ahead of us. Best get started." Lucy said.
As they walked past the bridge they noticed that there was no one there.
"Geez where is everyone?" Brock asked.
"You're right, there's no one here." Ash said.
"Pika?" Pikachu said as he also looked around.
"Aren't there suppose to be lot's of fishermen here?" Serena asked.
"There are, but they're not here." Lucy said.
That was when Pikachu heard something coming at them. Ash and Lucy then heard it too with their advanced senses. They turned to see other two young adults wearing black leather jackets, jeans, with mohawks, piercings, and tattoos, riding bicycles at them.
"What the hell?" Ash asked.
The two bikers stopped right in front of them and gave the group dirty looks.
"Hey Jack what do we have here?" One said.
"Looks like some more weary travelers." The other one said.
"Who are you people?" Lucy asked.
"We're members of the bridge biker gang."
"Biker gang?" Ash said as he and the others sweat dropped.
"Yeah we're hardcore biker gangsters." The first one said.
"You're on bicycles." Brock said.
"We're gangsters and this is our turf!" The first one shouted.
"If you wanna pass, you need to pay up. Thirty dollars from all of you." The second one said.
"We're not paying to go down this route." Serena said.
"Look slut this is our bridge and if you wanna pass." The first one started before Ash grabbed the arm he was pointing with and hurled him off his bike and into the water.
"What the!" The second Biker started before Brock smashed his leg into the side of the gang member's bike and knocked him into the water with his bike.
"We're not paying any toll." Brock said.
The two gang members got out of the water looking very angry.
"You wanna play like that fine. Go Beedrill."
"Go Ekans!". The two gang members shouted letting out their pokemon. An Ekans and Beedrill came out and stood in front of them.
"Pikachu Thunder!" Ash shouted.
"Pika, Chu!" Pikachu shouted as he leapt off Ash's shoulder and unleashed a massive bolt of electricity at the Beedrill and Ekans.
"Drill!".
"Kans!" They two shouted in pain as the electricity filled their bodies. At the same time the two gang members were also hit with the electricity as they were still soaking wet and were surged with even more electricity.
"ahh!"
"Ahh!" The two shouted before they fell to the ground char black with their pokemon beside them.
Ash and the others noticed their bikes were just as charred.
"Ahhhh…..Run for it!" The first gang member said as he and the other 3 got up and ran off as fast as they could, leaving a cloud of dust behind them.
"That was weird." Lucy said.
"A biker gang? Collecting tolls?" Serena asked.
"I'm guessing this has something to do with the lack of fishermen here." Ash said.
"We should keep going , maybe there's someone who can tell us more about what's going on." Brock said.
The group continued down the wooden bridge pathway for twenty minutes before they saw a middle aged man wearing a white t shirt with brown pants, black boots, an orange sleeveless vest and orange hat.
In front of him was a broken fishing pole and a hurt Goldeen.
Standing over him were 3 young adults wearing different variants of leather jackets and similar hair styles. They also had similar tattoos as the 2 they came across earlier and were also on bikes with a Raticate, Machop, and Geodude.
"Please I just cam here to do some fishing. I already paid your toll with the other two." The fisherman said.
"That toll was to pass through, it's another 100 to stick around." Another said.
"Oh come on. This is ridiculous." The fisherman said.
"More of those biker gangsters." Brock said.
"We need to get over there." Ash said.
"Listen old man you better." One of the gang members said before their pokemon were all hit with powerful Water guns.
Moments later a Staryu and Starmie used Rapid spin and knocked the gang pokemon to the side. All of them looked over and saw none other than Misty standing right in front of the gang members.
"Misty." Serena said.
"Is that the Cerulean city gym leader?" Lucy asked.
"Yes." Ash said.
"If you bullies are going to pick on a water type trainer, why don't you pick on me." Misty said.
"Heh this bitch ain't half bad looking and I do like em feisty." The nearest gang member said.
Misty's face turned red before she picked up the gang member's bike and smashed it across his face, hurling him into the water.
"You creep!" She shouted.
"Oh you're gonna get it now bitch." One of the other two gang members said before they both felt someone tap on their shoulders.
They turned around to see Ash and Lucy standing behind them.
"What the?" One said before they were both beaten to the ground then thrown into the water. The gang members got up and ran off with their pokemon as fast as they could.
Brock helped the fisherman up as Ash used his aura to heal his Goldeen.
"Thank you for helping me. Those dam bikers have been doing this to me all week." The fisherman said.
"Misty, what are you doing here?" Serena asked.
"I could ask you guys the same thing." Misty said.
"We're trying to get to Fuchsia city through route 12. But we came across some of those bikers. Who are they anyway?" Ash said.
"Let's get to somewhere safer." Misty said. She lead them to a path of land a yards away from the mainland with a small house on it.
"Who's house is this?" Serena asked.
"It's the fisherman house, passing by fishermen are allowed to use it when fishing here." The fisherman said.
They went inside and to the group's surprise they saw over 2 dozen men wearing the same attire as the fisherman sitting around inside.
"Huh?" Ash said.
"Pika?".
"They're all fisherman?" Brock said sweat dropping.
"That's right." Misty said as she sat them down at a table as the fisherman that came with them sat on the couch next to 2 others.
"Took your chances with those punks again I see Phil." The man next to him said.
"I thought maybe if I paid then they'd just let me fish in peace." He said sweat dropping.
"So I see you have a new member of the group." Misty said.
"This is Lucy she's the battle Pike frontier Brain." Brock said.
"Pleasure to meet you." Lucy said.
"So Misty what's going on and why are you here?" Ash asked.
"Well two days ago I came here hoping to catch some new water pokemon. But when I tried to get on the bridge those stupid biker gang members started hustling me. I got through them but found out they've been doing the same to everyone who came by. Including all these innocent fishermen. So I've been trying to help them and bring them here where it's safe." Misty said.
"I don't get it, why don't the police do anything about this?" Serena asked.
"Because , ever since team rocket took over Saffron city all the local police have been too busy helping the army try to contain the city, that they haven't done anything about the bridge." One of the fisherman said.
"I'll tell you, I didn't spend 8 years as a navy corpsman to have a bunch of punks try to muscle me around." A fisherman said.
"They're just a bunch of punk gang members. Ash , we could clear them off this bridge in an hour." Lucy said.
"We could, but what's to stop them from coming back." Ash said. Lucy hadn't thought about that. They weren't police, they could scare the gang members away for a day or two, but the would come back. Then what.
"Hold on, what do you do when you you have no streamline forces to help you. You form a militia!" Serena shouted.
"Form a militia?" Misty said as she and the others sweat dropped.
"My father use to tell me stories about 18th century warfare." Serena said sweat dropping.
"But anyway, he told me stories about when the Kalos army needed extra manpower when no forces were available they would form militias to keep their enemies at bay. What if we trained the fisherman here to fight back against the gang members." Serena said.
"Train them? H'mm that's an interesting idea." Misty said.
"You want us to fight those bikers, are you crazy?" One of the fisherman said.
"I'm a business man not a soldier." Another one said.
"Come on guys." The former navy fisherman said as he got up.
"Aren't you tired of those punks pushing you around. I am, we came here to do some fishing, we have the right to do what we want without being harassed by these punks. If the cops can't do anything about it, then it's time we stand up for ourselves and fight back. Teach them a lesson."
"Do you think you could really train us?" One asked.
"We could try, but it's not something we can do overnight." Ash said.
"I worked in Saffron city, I'm not needed back at work any time soon." One said.
"I've got the time."
"If it means putting those punks in their place."
"Alright we better get started." Lucy said.
Outisde the house on the island the fisherman were standing around Ash and the others
"Alright it's time for your pokemon to get some real training." Ash said as they let out their pokemon.
"Let out your pokemon." Ash said.
The fisherman let out a series of Goldeen, Poliwag, Shelder, and Tentacool.
"Now the first thing you have to know is that in a battle just calling out moves isn't enough. You need a solid strategy behind what you're doing. Have a plan behind every attack of how you plan to use it." Ash said.
"For example." Lucy said as her Seviper slithered up to Onix.
"Rock tomb." Brock said.
Onix unleashed a series of falling rocks onto the ground around Seviper who quickly avoided each one.
"Now use Rock throw!" Brock shouted.
Seviper tried to slither away from the incoming rocks, but the maze of rocks restricted his movement and he was hit with the rocks.
"You see I planned out that whole strategy. I used rock tomb to make the terrain too difficult avoid future attacks." Brock said.
"Alright why don't we give this a try." Ash said.
They split up into smaller groups.
Ash stood in front of one fisherman with Bulbasaur out.
"Alright now remember think about how you're going to play this out." Ash said.
"Right ok, uh, uh." He said.
"You can't just sit there either or they'll make a move." Ash said.
"Ok Goldeen try Water Pulse to distract him, then use horn attack." The fisherman said.
His Goldeen opened his mouth and let out a pulse of water before trying to ram his horn at Bulbasaur.
"Vine whip!" Ash shouted.
"Saur!" Bulbasaur shouted as he unleashed his vines and tore through the water before smashing Goldeen into the ground.
"Alright not a bad try, but you also have to consider how your opponent could counter your attack. Considering those things is important." Ash said.
Two hours later the fisherman who was in the navy stood in front of the others beside Ash and the group.
"If we're going to war with these punks you all need to be taught discipline. Discipline means standing your ground when things seem bad. It means listening and leading. It means not being afraid. So fall it." He said.
"Fall it?" One asked.
"Fall it!" The man screamed. The fisherman did their best to try and fall in.
"Are we really doing this?" Brock asked sweat dropping.
"Eh, it may not be a bad idea." Misty said.
"Asides from this guy, can any of us be disciplinarian trainers?" Brock asked.
"What about all that aura guardian training?" Misty asked Ash.
"That kind of discipline is a lot different than this and takes a lot longer to learn." Lucy said.
"Then what are we."Brock started before Serena stepped forward to one of the fisherman with a very serious expression on her face.
"Is that how your going to stand!" She shouted.
"Look your slouching, your backs not straight. You look like your defeated already!" She shouted as the man stood up straight with a terrified expression on his face.
"Don't show me any fear! What are you going to do when you face the gang members it won't = be me screaming at you!" Serena shouted.
The others including the navy man all looked dumbstruck at Serena.
She turned to them.
"My dad use to let me watch as he drilled cadets back when he was a trainer at the academy." Serena said.
Brock noticed that Ash's face had turned slightly red.
"Ash are you attracted to that?" Brock asked.
"Huh? No." Ash said sounding a bit embarrassed.
Serena and the navy corpsman continued discipline training for another 3 hours before Lucy, Ash, and the corpsman stood in front of them.
"These punks are going to try and fight dirty since we're all older than them. So you'll need to learn how to defend yourselves." The corpsman said.
One stood in front of Lucy.
"Alright come at me." Lucy said.
"I don't know, I have a daughter about your age and it just doesn't feel right trying to attack you." The man said.
"Fine." Lucy said before she grabbed his arm forced her foot in front of his then pulled his arm back locking him in an arm bar.
"Yahh!" He shouted in pain.
"The arm bar is very effective and not too hard to learn." Lucy said.
At the end of the day all of the fishermen were very tired and very sore.
"Ohh is it even worth all this. Can't we just fish somewhere else." One said.
"Come on Mike it's the principle of the matter."
"Principle my ass." Another said.
The group stood in the kitchen sweat dropping.
"Alright day one of training didn't go so well." Brock said.
"Come on guys, these men may not be as young as we are, but they can still learn." Misty said.
"Besides without any police nearby, and Lex gone to see the mentor, these bike gangsters could hurt innocent people without anyone to stop them." Ash said.
"Well maybe after some rest they'll be ready." Lucy said.
The next morning after breakfast the group was training the fisherman.
"Alright try and counter my Pokemon's attack. Starmie use Rapid spin." Misty said.
Starmie hurled himself at the fisherman's Tentacool with incredible speed.
"Uh, poison sting." He said. His Tentacool unleashed s barrage of poison stingers that flew at Starmie but bounced off the end of his star points as he spun around. Moments later Tentacool was hit and hurled back off the island and into the water.
"Oh no." The fisherman said.
"Why didn't you have him use Supersonic to confuse my Starmie and make him miss, or use constrict to catch him in mid air?" Misty asked sounding irritated.
"Oh, that would have been a good idea." He said as Misty sweat dropped.
A few hours later the fishermen were on the ground doing group push ups where each laid their legs on each others backs making squares of 4 men each.
"I'm 46 years old, I can't do ranger push ups." One said.
"That's not the right attitude! If you give up then everyone in your group fails! Your confidence affects theirs!" Serena shouted at the fisherman.
"Wow." Ash said with his face blushing.
"Pika." Pikachu said as he gave a slight smile and sweat drop.
Later Ash stood in front of fisherman twice his size.
"Alright come at me." Ash said.
"Look kid I don't want to hurt you." he said.
"Do it."
"Alright but I warned." The fisherman started before he raised his arm and hurled it at Ash. Ash came inside the man's arm and grabbed it , using the man's own force to hurl him to the ground.
"Redirection is key." Ash said.
"Uhhhhg." The man said.
At the end of the day the group was in the house as the fisherman looked even more tired than yesterday.
"I think we made less progress than yesterday." Ash said sweat dropping.
"We can't give up now. This bridge belongs to everyone, not just those gang jerks." Misty said.
"Misty's right. We can't give up on them." Lucy said.
"Well we better get ready, we've got another day of training tomorrow." Serena said.
The next morning Lucy and her Seviper were in front of a fisherman and his Shellder.
"Alright let's try this again, counter the attack. Seviper use Poison tail." Lucy said.
"Tackle the tail out of the way." The fisherman said. His Shellder tried to leap up and tackle the tail, but Shellder was hit and knocked aside.
"Why would you try and overpower Seviper, you should have used withdraw or protect." Lucy said.
"Sorry."
""Sigh"" Lucy said sweat dropping.
A few hours later the men were standing in a line in front of Serena and the Corpsmen.
"True discipline means you're not intimidated." The corpsmen said.
The two stepped aside as Seviper slithered forward in mega form.
"Uhh." The fishermen said as they started to shake.
"Stand your ground!" Serena shouted.
The men began to sweat and shake as Mega Seviper moves his head closer and let out a large hiss.
"Yahhh!" The fishermen screamed as they all ran off.
"Great." Ash said.
"Alright that's it! I've had enough!" A fishermen shouted.
"We've been at this three days and we're not getting anywhere. I don't even care about fishing anymore, I quit , the punks win!" The same fisherman shouted.
"Dave's right, I want to go home." Another one said.
"Yeah I'm sick of this."
"Come on guys, you can't give up now. You have to believe in yourselves." Misty said.
"Yeah well we've tried and tried, but you know what, we're just a bunch of old fishermen. Those punks are in their prime. We're done." Another fishermen said before he and the others started to walk off.
"Well that's just great, now they've quit on us." Brock said.
"I really thought they'd stick up for themselves." Misty said.
"There's nothing else we can do. We better just get off the route and deal with any gang members as they come." Lucy said.
"I guess I'll just have to catch water pokemon somewhere else. Mind if I tag along until the end of the route?" Misty asked.
"Sure let's go." Ash said.
As the group of fishermen walked to the exit of the bridge the Corpsmen heard something. He looked over and saw two bikers talking to each other.
"So those guys who wrecked some of our guy's a few days ago are coming further down the bridge. We got us a plan to teach them a lesson." One said.
"I don't know they were pretty tough." The other one said.
"That's why we got an ambush planned, they step on a section of the bridge. Kaboom, shock, then nets. Plus the whole gang's gonna be there. We'll teach them what happens when you mess with us."
"Yeah let's get em" The other one said.
"Oh no." The corpsmen said. He turned to the others.
"Did you guys hear that, they're going to ambush those kids. We've got to do something."
"Come on Ben you heard em the whole gang's going to be there."
"Yeah we don't stand a chance."
"I don't care, and you know why. We've been pushed around by these punks for too long , and so far no one's done anything about it. Then these kids come here and try to bring us together and make us believe in ourselves so that we could make a difference. They believed in us even when we didn't." Ben said as the others looked guilty.
"Well I'm not going to sit here and do nothing. I'm going to help them. If any of you cowards want to help me, you know where I'm going." Ben said as he ran off in that direction.
Elsewhere further down the bridge the group was walking towards another larger section separated by a small narrower part of the bridge.
"So how far are we from route 13?" Serena asked.
"Well according to the map." Brock started before there was a large explosion around them.
Ash and Pikachu were knocked to the ground while the others were knocked into the water.
"What the hell?" Ash said as he looked around.
"Voltorb use thundershock." Another voice said.
Misty noticed a pair of Voltorb floating in the water around them.
"Oh no get out of the water!" She shouted before they were all filled with electricity.
"Guys!"
"Pika!".
A net was thrown around them before they were dragged out of the water by a trio of gang members.
Another trio of gang members tried to ensnare Ash and Pikachu, but his advances senses altered him. He quickly turned around and drew his hidden blades, slicing the net into pieces.
Before Ash and Pikachu knew it they were completely surrounded by over 3 dozen gang members and pokemon on all sides of him.
"We've got you jerks now." One gang member said.
"So this is your entire gang." Ash said.
"That's right." Another voice said. Ash and Pikachu looked over to see a larger gang member walk through the crown with tattoos all over his body, a mowhawk and a pair of brass knuckles on his fists with a Nidoking beside him.
"I'm the boss of this gang and you punks didn't pay the toll. So that means you have to be taught a lesson." He said.
"Come over here and say that." Ash said.
"I think your little friends might think otherwise." Another gang member said as he and the other members held the net with the rest of the group in it.
"Serena, Brock, Lucy, Misty. They've got them. How am I going to fight back?" Ash said sweating.
"Let them go!" Another familiar voice shouted.
The entire gang , Ash, and Pikachu turned to the section of the bridge Ash had just come from to see all of the fishermen Ash and the others had been training standing there with their pokemon out.
"Let our friends go!" Ben shouted with his Cloyster beside him.
"It's time someone taught you punks a lesson." Another fishermen said.
The entire gang started to laugh like crazy.
"Yeah we're afraid of a bunch of old men fishermen." The gang boss said.
"Maybe that's what we were a few days ago, but now."
"We're the Silence bridge patrol!" They all shouted in unison with their arms up.
"Silence bridge patrol?" Lucy said sweat dropping.
"Just be glad they're here." Misty said.
"Together men, let's help our friends!" Ben shouted as he formed the head of a human wedge with the rest of the fishermen. They then charged into the mass of gang members. In a wedge formation they knocked several of the gang members and their pokemon into the water before they reached the net.
They quickly pulled it to the center and opened it before helping the group up.
"Are you guys ok?" One asked.
"We are now, you guys came back." Serena said.
"You never gave up on us, it's time we started doing the same." Another fishermen said.
"Teach these old men a lesson!" The gang boss shouted.
One of the fishermen saw a gang member riding at him on his bike with his fist held out. It was then he remembered what he had learned from Lucy.
He stepped inside, grabbed the gang member's arm then hurled him off his bike and into the water.
"Woah, it actually worked." He said.
Another fisherman saw two gang members coming at him with their fists' raised. The fishermen ducked down and made the two trip over him before he grabbed them by their shirts and hurled them over his body making them slam hard onto the ground.
"Wow." He said.
Another fisherman and his Shellder stood in front of a gang member and his Ekans.
"Ekans use poison sting."
"Ok thing, what could we do. Wait that's it, Shellder use Clamp on his mouth!" The fisherman shouted as his Shellder leapt forward and clammed the Ekans's mouth shut.
The Ekans tried to shake him off but to no avail.
"Now Icicle spear!" He shouted. His Shellder hurled Ekans up before forming a icicle in his mouth and slamming it into the Ekans.
"Alright old men, try this one on for size!" A gang member said as he pulled out a gun on one.
"He's got a gun!" Misty shouted.
The fisherman stared the gang member straight in the eyes with true stature and discipline. Without flinching he snatched the gun from the gang members hand, aimed it at the water and pulled the trigger.
Instead of a bang , nothing but water squirted out of the gun's barrel.
"It was a squirt-gun!?" A gang member shouted as the first gang member sweat dropped.
"Eh." He said as he looked scared at the taller fisherman in front of him.
The gang boss looked on in horror as he saw his gang members getting it handed to them by the fishermen.
"How is this possible, they're just a bunch of old fishermen?" He said.
"When people believe in themselves, they can do more than you can imagine." Ash said as he smiled at the gang boss.
"Grrr." The gang boss said before he ran at Ash with his brass knuckles out. Ash caught the inside of the gang boss's arm before moving under it and pulling it back against its joint. As a result the gang member was hurled forward doing a front flip from his own force and pinned to the ground by Ash's hold.
"Nidoking, get him." The boss said.
"Go Bulbasaur!" Ash shouted.
"Saur!" Bulbasaur shouted as he came out and stood in front of Ash.
The Nidoking leapt up preparing to use Double Kick.
"Vine whip!" Ash shouted.
"Saur!" Bulbasaur shouted as he unleashed his vines and caught the Nidoking by his legs before pulling him into the ground.
"Bulba!" Bulbasaur shouted sounding proud. The Nidoking got up unleashed poison sting.
" Razor leaf!" Ash shouted.
Bulbasaur unleashed a series of leaves that cut through the poison stingers before slicing across Nidoking.
The Nidoking lowered his horn and rushing at Bulbasaur.
"Vine whip on his horn, then Double edge!" Ash shouted.
Bulbasaur unleashed his vines forward and entangled them around Nidoking's horn before pulling him into the ground.
Once Nidoking was pulled off his feed and into the bridge, Bulbasaur charged forward glowing red and yellow before smashing right into Nidoking's face.
The Nidoking was knocked out and into the water.
"Alright great job Bulbasaur!" Ash shouted.
"Pika!".
"Bulba!" Bulbasaur shouted before he started to glow and grow larger.
"Wait a minute." Ash said.
Bulbasaur continued to grow until he was around twice the size he was before. His fangs were much bigger, and the bud on his back had slightly bloomed with 4 large leaves around it and a salmon unopened Blume I'm the center.
"Saur." He said in a deeper voice.
"Bulbasuar you evolved into Ivysaur!" Ash shouted.
"Ivy!"
Ben hurled two Gang members into the water while his Cloyster blasted a pair of Rattatas into the water with a Water gun.
"We got em now!" Ben shouted.
Within an hour the group and the fishermen had rounded up all the gang members and had them in their own nets.
"Now I hope you punks learned a lesson about respect." Ben said.
When other people moving around the bridge noticed the biker gang was no longer there they began moving across the bridge freely.
"We finally did it, the gang is beaten." A fisherman said.
"The bridge is free and we can finally fish in peace again." Another one said.
"As soon as we drop these punks off at the clink." Ben said.
"Thank you for coming back for us." Serena said.
"No thank you for making us believe in ourselves." Another fishermen said.
"If it weren't for you guys we'd still be forced away from this bridge that we love." Another one said.
"Well since we all have this training and teamwork, plus the police are still busy. Maybe we should be the permanent law enforcement in this area." Another fishermen said.
"Yeah we could."
"We are"
"The Silence bridge patrol!" They all shouted in unison with their arms up.
"Right." Ash said as he and the group sweat dropped.
"Well now that the bridge is safe, I can stay here and catch some more pokemon. It was good seeing you guys again and meeting you Lucy." Misty said.
"It was good seeing you again too." Serena said.
The group continued down route 12 this time passing many more people than before now that the bridge was safe.
"Well we helped make the bridge safe again and Bulbasaur evolved." Ash said.
"Overall a good day." Lucy said.

So no Aaaron memory, sorry but I don't want those thrown at you all at once and then be done with it.
As for the chapter, I will admit it's not my proudest of work, but it will do for now.
Some of the anime based chapters may appear out of order since the gang is taking a different route to fuchsia city, however there are certain chapters I can tell you aren't happening. For example
Pikachu's goodbye, at this point it would just make no sense
Ghost of Maiden's peak, Hypno's naptime, ones like that
