ch 28 : Artifacts and memories
It was early in the morning on route 15 and Ash had woken up before Serena. He saw she was still asleep with her head resting on his shoulder. Two days had passed since they had left Gringey city and they were still in route 15.
Ash saw Pikachu was above his head and was staying still. Ash wanted to make sure Pikachu didn't climb on his face, remembering the last time he did that.
Despite Serena still being on him, Ash was able to reach with his other hand into his backpack and bring out his Scale of Reduka.
He continued staring at it for several minutes before he thought about something. He remembered the time flower, and how he had to connect his aura to it.
"Alright, let's try that." Ash said. He took a deep breath an tried to connect his aura with the scale. The scale began to glow white as Ash's eyes started to glow white as well.
Ash felt a sensation like he had never felt before. So much information and knowledge flew through his head, it was almost overwhelming. He quickly cut the connection and put the scale down before anything else could happen.
"Woah." Ash said. Whatever the scale was, it was clearly some source of knowledge. It was like the scale had just taught him about a move he had been trying to teach Charizard for a while. It was a move that so few trainers had been able to teach a pokemon that some argued it couldn't be done.
It wasn't like the information was just shot into his head either, it was like Reduka came down and taught him about the move thoroughly, but in a manner of moments.
Still Ash was a bit nervous about using the scale again though. At least until he thought he could control the intake of knowledge.
Still he wanted to try and teach this move to Charizard, he would start today. He put the Scale away before laying his head back down.
An hour later he and Serena were up with the others.
"Alright guys, we're pretty close to Fuchsia city. It could be a day, or it could be two." Brock said.
"Do you have a Showcase there Serena?" Lucy asked.
"No, I'm not exactly sure where my next showcase is. I was hoping I could find out in Fuchsia city." Serena said.
"Well since we still have some time, I was thinking we could spend the day training rather than walking." Ash said.
"I would't mind having the day to train Eevee." Serena said.
"I'm fine with doing that." Lucy said.
"Alright, sounds like a plan." Brock said.
After finishing breakfast, Ash and his pokemon were doing some intense training.
Wartortle was facing Pikachu head on. Pikachu hurled his tail at Wartortle, who tried to avoid each strike. While his reflexes had improved, he could not avoid each of Pikachu's strikes. Not wanting to seriously hurt Wartortle, Ash had Pikachu just swing his tail rather than covering it with metal.
That wasn't to say it didn't hurt to get hit across the face by Pikachu's tail.
This continued for another 20 minutes before Wartortle was covered in sweat and sat beside a tree panting.
"Alright good job Wartortle, your reflexes are improving." Ash said.
"War." Wartortle said smiling. Ash had been training all of his pokemon hard that morning. All except Charizard.
After finishing with Pikachu, the electric mouse sat beside the other 4. Despite Pikachu's immense skills, Ash was always training him to improve.
"Alright Charizard, starting today we're going to start tutoring on a special move. Blast Burn." Ash said.
This greatly caught Charizard's interest. He had heard about that particular move, and how only legendary like Charizards could hope to master it. To think that he might learn it was amazing.
"Alright let's get started. Now from how I learned it, Blast burn isn't like a normal fire attack where you move ahead by force all at once. Flamethrower is a simple attack where fire is simple unleashed. Inferno is more of an enhanced flamethrower. Blast Burn is something entirely different , rather than a force of fire directly, it's explosive." Ash said.
Explosive, Charizard had never done anything like that before.
"That's what makes it so much more effective, instead of just fire coming at your opponent. You get a much bigger force that will have a much larger effect with the fire helping it. As you can imagine this won't be easy, it could be some time before we master this move." Ash said.
"Grauu." Charizard roared with a proud stance.
"Alright let's get started. Now let's start by trying some Fire blasts, they're probably the closest thing you know to Blast burn." Ash said.
Charizard nodded in agreement.
He aimed an a more open area , not wanting to set the route ablaze.
"Now try to focus more of the Fire blast's power in the center." Ash said.
Charizard knew that wouldn't be easy, but understood why Ash told him to do that. He increased the size of his tail flame then opened his mouth and roared before unleashing a large Fire blast. With a fire blast, the energy was normally distributed evenly around the fire. Distributing it elsewhere was difficult, and Charizard didn't get it in the center.
The fire blast looked very distorted and when it hit the ground it moved around in an uneasy manner.
Ash, Charizard, and the other pokemon sweat dropped.
"Ok it was our first try, Wartortle would you mind?" Ash asked.
"War." Wartortle said nodding before he used water gun on the fire to keep it from spreading.
"Alright let's try again." Ash said.
"Grrau!" Charizard growled as he nodded and unleashed another Fire Blast. Just like the last one , it was uneven and didn't burst in an explosion.
Charizard kept doing this for nearly an hour. He made a slight bit of progress, but for the most part , the Fire Blasts were still uneven.
"Grauu." Charizard growled , very frustrated that he wasn't making much progress.
Ash noticed this and could feel it in their aura connection. He walked over to Charizard and put his hand on his back.
"I know we didn't make much progress Charizard, but remember. This is an extremely difficult move to learn. You are very skilled, but we can't expect to get it just like that." Ash said.
Charizard knew Ash was right. He was starting to understand why only legendary like Charizards had been able to master Blast burn. But he couldn't give up just because he was having a rough start.
"So you want to keep going?" Ash asked.
"Grauu!" Charizard roared.
"Alright let's do it." Ash said.
Meanwhile Serena was with her pokemon still trying to train Eevee.
"Misdreavus use Shadow ball." She said.
Misdreavus unleashed a series of Shadow balls at Eevee as he tried to dodge each one. Serena and her other pokemon noticed Eevee was generally getting better at avoiding the Shadow balls. A few still hit him, but he avoided most.
"Alright that's enough of that Eevee. Let's move back on to the offense. Try to use Quick attack on Charla, use the speed you've been working on." Serena said.
"Eevee!" Eevee shouted as he sprinted forward at Charla.
Charla readied herself then quickly caught Eevee in her claws before he could hit her.
"Grauu!." Charla roared before she hurled him back a few feet.
Eevee tried quick attack another 4 times each with the same result. Charla continued to roar and snarl as she stopped him.
Serena, Nidorina, and Misdreavus sweat dropped upon seeing Charla do this.
"Ash was right, Charlizards do certainly get more aggressive when hey evolve." Serena said.
Even Charla began to notice her increased level of tenacity and aggression. Though it didn't really bother her.
After Charla stopped Eevee again, Serena realized it wasn't doing much for him.
"Alright, why don't we try something different. Wait I remember how Ash trains some of his pokemon. Misdreavus use Shadow ball in the air." Serena said.
Misdreavus opened her mouth and unleashed 3 Shadow balls in the air above Eevee.
"Eevee use Quick attack on the Shadow balls." Serena said.
Eevee sprinted across the ground, picking up speed before leaping up and smashing through one.
"Good!" Serena said. Eevee quickly turned and used Quick attack to smash into another one of the Shadow balls, then the third when he was done.
"Great job Eevee!" Serena shouted.
"Eevee!". Moments later Eevee gave a very determined look at Serena.
"Eevee!" He shouted sounding a little aggressive.
"Wait, do you want to have a real battle?" Serena asked.
"Eevee!" Eevee shouted nodding.
"Eevee you're still pretty young, having a battle this early won't turn out the way you want it too." Serena said sweat dropping.
"Eevee!" Eevee shouted.
Serena sighed.
"Alright." Serena said. Nidorina nervously walked over and stood across from Eevee. She really didn't want to hurt him, but she could see how much he wanted to battle.
"Alright, here we go. Nidorina use Poison sting inso Double Kick. Eevee, dodge the poison sting then use Quick attack." Serena said.
As Nidorina unleashed a furry of poison stingers , Eevee did his best to doge them. However, he couldn't avoid them all and was hit by a few.
"Eevee." He grunted.
Nidorina leapt up and raised her legs. Eevee tried to use Quick attack to hit Nidorina first, but Nidorina's reflexes were far better than Eevee's. Eevee was smashed across the face twice before being hurled to the ground.
"Uh." Serena said sweat dropping. This was exactly what she was afraid would happen. She knew Eevee's skills had improved, but he wasn't ready for real battles yet. Serena would have loved to teach him how to perform, but until he could hone his battle skills , she knew that would go no where.
Eevee grunted before he got up.
"Alright let's try again." Serena said as Eevee and Nidorina got back in their positions.
"Nidorina use Tail Whip into Fury swipes. Eevee use Bite , then Tackle."
Nidorina sprinted forward and aimed her tail at Eevee. Eevee tried to bite Nidorina's tail, but she his him first and faster, smacking his face back and forth. Eevee then tried to come forward and Tackle, Nidorina only to be slashed across the face with Furry swipes until he was knocked back.
"Ni." Nidorina said sweat dropping, hopping she didn't hurt him.
Eevee got up looking a bit discouraged.
Serena saw this and walked over to him before kneeling beside him.
"Eevee, it's alright, we haven't been practicing enough for you to beat Nidorina. Think about how much training and experience she's had." Serena said.
"Eevee." He said.
"Experience and skill all come with a lot of training. You can't expect to be this good after just a bit of training." Serena said.
"Eevee." He said with his head facing the ground.
"Eevee , you have to be patient with yourself and your training. It's all part of growing." Serena said.
"Eevee." He said as he raised his head.
A few more hours passed and Ash was still working with Charizard.
Charizard was breathing deeply from a long day of training.
"Alright we can keep going, we will get this down." Ash said.
"Grauu." Charizard growled in agreement.
"Come on Charizard you can do it.".
"Pika!"
"War!"
"Haunt!".
Charizard focused and increased the size of his tail flame and formed another fire in his mouth before unleashing it. Unlike the last ones, Charizard had finally been able to focus the energy in the center. When he fire blast hit the ground the energy burst around the area .
"You did it!" Ash shouted.
"Grauu!" Charizard roared. He opened his mouth and unleashed another blast of fire. Just like the last one it was focused in the center and burst out and around.
He did it another 2 times before stopping to catch his breath.
"Alright I think that's enough for today, we made a good start." Ash said. Charizard nodded.
Ash joined the others for dinner around the fire.
"So how did Eevee do today?" Ash asked.
"He's making some improvements, but he's a bit too eager. He wanted to battle Nidorina and it did not turn out like he hoped it would." Serena said.
"He shouldn't expect to beat an experienced pokemon so quickly." Lucy said.
"I told him that." Serena said.
"I'm sure he'll understand in time. So what were you up to all day Ash?" Brock asked.
"Well I've been trying to teach Charizard a new move." Ash said.
"What move?" Serena asked.
"Blast Burn." Ash said.
"What!?" The other 3 said in disbelief.
"Ash how are you going to teach him that? I've only heard of a handful of trainers who have been able to teach their Charizard that move." Lucy said.
"How did you even learn how to teach that move?" Brock asked.
"Well, I have a certain source." Ash said sweat dropping. He was unsure about telling them about the scale until he was sure how to use it properly.
Later that night Ash and Serena were in their tent as Ash set Pikachu down on his pillow. That was when Ash noticed Serena staring at him.
"Is everything alright Serena?" He asked.
"Ash I know you're hiding something about how you learned about Blast Burn. I can feel it through out connection." Serena said.
Ash took a deep breath.
"Alright, I was going to tell you guys about it when I figured it out completely. But I guess I should have told you." Ash said as he took out the Scale of Reduka and showed it to Serena.
"Your Scale of Reduka? Are you saying it taught it to you?" She asked.
"Sort of, I finally made it do something. I connected my aura to it and I felt a flood of information that nearly made my head burst. I couldn't control the intake and it nearly overwhelmed me. But I was able to retain the info about Blast Burn."
"Incredible, so it's a source of knowledge." Serena said.
"Yes, I'm still trying to find out how to use it though. I'm sorry I didn't tell you immediately. But I was thinking maybe someone else in the brotherhood might know." Ash said.
"Well something like this should probably be shared. It could really help people." Serena said.
"It could." Ash said. A few minutes later Serena was asleep with her head resting on Ash's chest. When he was sure she was asleep he carefully took out the time flower.
"Aright time to see the rest of Aaron's memories" Ash said as he took a deep breath and connected his aura to it. Ash's vision turned white as he transitioned to the memory.
Ash could see many of the buildings in Rota and some of the streets were ablaze. Many of the people and their were running away and screaming as they ran past dead bodies and burning buildings as they were pursued by Giath soldiers and pokemon
A young woman was running away when she was grabbed by two Giath soldiers and dragged to the ground as a third one stood over her.
"Come now young lady, why are you running. We only want to have a little fun. " The soldier said before he began tearing off her leggings.
"No!" She shouted as she tried to kick him.
Moments later Ash saw an aura guardian leap from behind and slam his hidden blade into the soldier's throat. Before the other two could react the aura guardian knocked their arms away one by one before slashing across their throats with his hidden blades.
At the same time, a Mega Lucario sprinted forward and unleashed a furry of strikes on two Giath Machamps with Close combat.
The aura guardian helped the woman up and despite the hood, Ash could finally see his face. It was Aaron, only he was once again older than the last time. He looked about 26 and had a goatee like Vaeron did in his youth.
"Get out of the city." Aaron said to the woman. She ran as fast as she could as Aaron and Lucario looked at the burning city.
"Is anyone else here?" Lucario asked.
"No they're all at Viridian city, Cesare's dam mercenary army has half the brotherhood bogged down there. We're on our own." Aaron said.
"We should try to find any surviving Rota soldiers and rally them first." Lucario said.
"Right." Aaron said.
The two rushed down the burning streets as they came across more Giath soldiers. Aaron whipped his arm around , unleashing a burst of aura that hurled Giath soldiers back and into an inferno.
He then quickly blocked two sword strikes from two armored Giath soldiers. He smashed his food into one of the soldier's calfs before pushing the other one's arm aside with his right forearm. Aaron then slammed his left hidden blade into the man's throat before coming back and slicing the other soldier's throat with his right hidden blade.
Another Giath soldier tried to come at him from behind, only to have Aaron grab the man's arm and hurl him over his body and then assassinate him on the ground.
At the same time Mega Lucario unleashed a large aura sphere that flew through the air and tore through a Giath Houndoom's Flamethrower and smashed into the Houndoom, knocking him out.
Another Giath Houndoom rushed at Mega Lucario trying to use Fire fang. Lucario used low sweep and went under the Houndoom, smashing his legs and making him crash into his face. A Third Houndoom came from behind trying to use Beat up.
Lucario turned just in time to smash his fist into the Houndooms face with Power up Punch. With the way clear the two sprinted down the street until they reached a large courtyard where they saw a small group of Rota soldiers and pokemon being lead by captain Talion, facing a larger group of Giath soldiers and pokemon.
Aaron and Lucario sprinted forward before Aaron unleashed a burst of aura that hurled 4 back. He then leapt up and quickly stabbed two Giath soldiers with his hidden blades. Before the others could react he moved in and sliced up another 3 using his advanced speed.
When another 5 saw this they tried to surround him, only to have Aaron slam his fist into the ground and hurl them all back with a burst of aura. Once they were on the ground, Aaron quickly killed them all with his hidden blades.
As this happened Mega Lucario unleashed close combat on two Giath Machokes , hurling them back. Before another 2 Giath Houndooms could react, Lucario unleashed two Power up punches, hurling them into a wall.
With a number of the Giath pokemon beaten, two Rota Poliwraths unleashed Hydro pump, knocking out another 2 Giath Houndooms.
"To me men!" Captain Talion shouted as he rallied his men. With Aaron cutting away at the Giath rear, and his soldiers rallied, captain Talion and his men made quick work of the remaining Giath soldiers.
When the Giath were all dead and their pokemon beaten, captain Talion and his soldiers walked over to Aaron.
"Sir Aaron, thank heaven's you and your Lucario returned. Are other guardians coming?" Talion asked.
"No , it's just us. Queen Rin, where is she?" Aaron asked.
"She's in the castle, Cesare is bringing in Siege towers to reach it." Talion said.
"Rally your men and hit the Giath forces from the rear." Aaron said.
"Yes, men we fight for our city and our people!" Talion said as he and his men rushed out of the courtyard.
"To the castle!" Aaron shouted as he and Lucario rushed towards the castle as fast as they could. When they reached it they saw the gates were destroyed blocking they way, and the Giath had brought up 3 siege towers to the wall.
"That's out ticked up." Aaron said. The two began using their parkour skills to climb up the outside of the siege tower. Once they were at the top they saw a group of Giath soldiers ready to open the door.
They climbed inside as the soldiers turned to them. Moments later after 2 large bursts of aura, two Giath Houndooms flew onto he castle walls as the other 30 flew screaming towards the ground below.
Aaron and Lucario leapt onto the castle wall walkway and rushed down it as they saw a pair of Giath soldiers standing over 2 dead Rota soldiers.
Aaron slashed across their throats before they could even react then saw the second siege tower get into position.
"Together!" Lucario both unleashed a large aura sphere that tore through the siege tower base. Moments later the tower collapsed as the soldiers inside went crashing down with it.
The third siege tower was about to lower its ramp when Aaron saw a half broken castle tower piece over it. He blasted it with an aura sphere, causing it to crash into the Siege tower, destroying it.
"Inside!" Aaron and Lucario rushed into the castle interior. As they ran down the hallway they saw a trio of Giath soldiers and a pair of Houndoom sanding over a dead Rota soldier and a wounded Rota Nidorino.
Lucario sprinted over and hurled the soldiers back with his Power up punches, followed by Aaron slicing the men up with his hidden blades. As the Houndoom turned and tried to use fire fang, Lucario smashed them both into he wall with close combat.
The two then rushed into the throne room where they saw 4 dead Rota guards and 2 knocked out Poliwraths. Standing over them were several Giath soldiers and 3 Machoke. Standing at the back of the throne room was Domenico in his armor with a sword up as he stood over 2 dead Giath soldiers.
"Which one of you cockless bastards wants to fight me next!" He shouted.
Moments later two of the Giath soldiers ran at him. Domenico slashed the first one across his chest then slammed the pommel of his sword into the second man before slashing across his chest.
"Who's next!" He shouted.
Before the other Giath soldiers could react, Aaron sprinted over and slashed two across the throat before he slammed his left blade into an armored ones chest.
Lucario used Extreme speed to rush over to each Machoke before unleashing Power up punch on each.
Meanwhile Domenico blocked another Giath soldier's sword with his own then thrusted his blade into the man's chest.
As Aaron finished off the last Giath soldier Domenico rushed over to him and Lucario.
"Aaron, Lucario. Reduka smiles on me today." Domenico said.
"Rin! Where is she!?" Aaron shouted.
"She said she had to hide the scepter in her chambers. This way!" Domenico shouted. He lead them across the hallways.
When they reached Rin's room, Aaron smashed through the door and rushed inside..
"Rin!" Aaron shouted.
"Oh no" Lucario said.
The other two looked to the ground to see Rin laying there on her back with 3 stab marks in her chest.
Aaron felt he knees get weak, he knelt down beside her as she breathed deeply.
"Rin, no." He said.
"No, no." Domenico said as his eyes teared up upon seeing his sister dying.
Rin looked up at Aaron.
"Hold on Rin, I'm going to save you!" Aaron said as he desperately tried to heal her with his aura.
"Lucario help me!" Aaron shouted.
"Aaron." Lucario said in a sad tone, hinting that there was nothing they could do.
"No, no Rin I'm going to save you!" Aaron shouted.
"Aaron, he took it." She said.
"Took what?".
"The royal jewel. Cesare took it from me. " She said.
She brought her hand up to his cheek.
"Please save my kingdom."
Aaron's eyes teared up.
"I will." He said.
"Aaron, there's something else you need to know. I, we." Rin started before she faded away.
Aaron clenched his fist and teeth as he closed his eyes. He reached out and closed Rin's eyes with his hand.
Lucario then felt a rush of anger and passion run through Aaron.
"Aaron we." Lucario started before he saw his partner start to glow blue with aura around him. When Aaron opened his eyes they were completely aura blue.
Before either Lucario or Domenico could say anything Aaron sprinted forward and leapt out the window.
"Where's he going?" Domenico asked.
"He's going after Cesare." Lucario said sounding worried.
On one of the castle walls several Giath soldiers exited a Siege tower. One turned just in time to see Aaron sprinting at them and unleash a massive pulse of aura that hurled all 30 off the wall.
Aaron then fought like a demon cutting through 10 Giath armored soldiers and hurling two Giath Houndooms into the wall with an aura sphere.
Cesare stood on the castle wall with the jewel that had been encased in Rin's scepter in his hand.
"Yes, it's mine it's finally mine!" He shouted before he heard.
"Cesare!" He turned just in time to see Aaron flying at him.
Cesare quickly brought his sword up and blocked Aaron's hidden blades.
"You! What are you doing here!?" Cesare shouted.
"I'm here to kill you for what you've done!" Aaron shouted. He unleashed a furry of attacks that Cesare could barley keep up with. Eventually Aaron got closer to Cesare and tried to stab his left hidden blade into his chest. Cesare desperately tried to push the blade away, and managed to redirect it to near his shoulder.
However, as a result Aaron cut through his armor place and tore off his chest plate.
Cesare brought the jewel forward as a pulse of energy hurled Aaron back.
"Feel the power of the creator!" Cesare shouted.
Aaron did a backflip before landing on his feet.
"That power doesn't belong to you!" Aaron shouted before he unleashed a pulse of aura that hurled Cesare back and knocked the Tear of Reduka out of his hand.
Cesare got up and quickly pulled out a dagger in his free hand as Aaron rushed forward and continued his onslaught with his hidden blades. Aaron got closer and closer to killing Cesare before delivering a powerful kick yo Cesare's waist.
As Cesare reeled back, Aaron leapt forward up and into him. Hurling Cesare onto the ground, pinned under Aaron.
"No! No! It was mine! The power of the legendary pokemon was mine! I was destined to rule all of Kanto with it, then the entire world!" Cesare shouted.
Aaron , with his eyes still glowing blue , looked down at Cesare with a look of disgust and pity.
"You wretched scum of a human being. Look at what you've done, so much death and suffering, for what. Your mad ambition for power and conquest. You're no better than the tyrant king of Kalos. This ends now!" Aaron shouted as he held his hidden blade to Cesare's throat.
"No! I will not die here! Not by your hands!" Cesare shouted.
Aaron retracted his hidden blades.
"Very well." Aaron said as he grabbed Cesare by the collar of his shirt. He then got up and held Cesare in his arms as he walked to the side.
"Then I leave you in the hands of fate." Aaron said. Not a moment later Cesare saw Aaron had walked him to the edge of the wall.
Aaron then hurled Cesare off the edge of the wall.
"Ahhhh!" Cesare shouted as he fell off the wall over a hundred feet before he crashed into a burning siege tower at the bottom.
Aaron took a deep breath before his eyes returned to normal. He looked out at the city below and saw Cesare's army was still ravaging it and its people.
"So much death, so much suffering." Aaron said. That is when he realized there was someone who could stop it. He turned and picked up the tear of Reduka.
Lucario sprinted across the wall towards Aaron.
"Aaron!" He shouted.
"Go away Lucario, I have to do this alone." Aaron said.
"Aaron no! What are you doing?"
"I'm stopping this." Aaron said.
"I need to help you! We're in this together!" Lucario shouted.
Aaron saw a Pidgeot flew close to him.
"No, not this time" Aaron said. He leapt onto the Pidgeot's back as Lucario tried to do the same.
Aaron unleashed a pulse of aura that hurled Lucario back onto the wall. Lucario looked up as Aaron flew away on Pidgeot.
"No." Lucario said.
Pidgeot flew to the tree of beginning and dropped Aaron off as he made his way to the heart. Once he reached it he took out the Tear of Reduka.
"Mew! Please I need you!" He shouted. Moments later Aaron saw Mew fly around him with a tired expression on his face.
"Mew, Cesare's army is going to destroy everything and kill everyone. You can stop them, make them leave. I'm begging you." Aaron said.
"Mew." Mew said still sounding tired. Aaron understood what Mew was saying. Apparently the tree of beginning was able to stay alive only because once a year Mew had to transfer most of his energy into the heart, which he had just done, he was to tired to do anything else and could not help him.
"No, please there must be something. Wait, what if I gave you my energy, my aura." Aaron said.
"Mew!" Mew said sounding concerned. He warned Aaron that the amount it would take could possibly kill him.
Aaron took a deep breath.
"I don't care, I made a promise to the one I love that I would save her people. I'm not going to let her down again." Aaron said.
Mew slowly raised his tail to Aaron who placed his hands on it. He took a deep breath and began channeling his aura and energy into Mew. Since he was holding a tear of Reduka, Aaron was able to transfer his energy faster and more quickly. But he couldn't use it to fuel Mew.
Aaron felt pain and fatigue fill him as he continued to give Mew his energy.
"Mew." Mew said saying they should stop.
"No! We need to keep going!" Aaron shouted.
Mew and Aaron continued as Aaron started to glow blue and his grit his teeth.
"Graaaaa!" Aaron shouted.
Back in the city Mew felt like he had just been stabbed through the heart. He fell to the ground curling up from the sharp pain he was feeling through his aura connection.
"Ooh, what just happened?" Lucario said as he tried to feel Aaron through their connection. When he did, he felt nothing. A void, he could no longer feel Aaron at all.
"No, no , no it can't be." Lucario said as he eyes teared up. He looked up at the tree of beginning.
That is when he saw something else. Mew glowing blue flew across the sky.
He looked down at the city and saw what Aaron was talking about.
He took a deep breath then opened his eyes.
"Mew!" He shouted as waves of white energy flew from his tail and through the city.
On the ground captan Talion and his men were up against a wall as they faced 4 times as many Giath soldiers.
"Come on men, fight to your last breath!" Talion shouted. Just before any more Giath soldiers could come at them, a wave of white energy from Mew flew across them.
As soon as it did, the Giath soldiers all dropped their weapons.
"What?" Talion said in confusion.
The Giath soldiers and pokemon turned and walked away from them.
Up in the castle Domenico could see all of the Giath soldiers and pokemon doing the same thing.
"He did it, Aaron saved us." Domenico said.
Mew looked around and saw all of the Giath soldiers were gone.
"Mew." He said thinking about Aaron and what he did.
Ash opened his eyes and saw he was back in his tent.
"Woah." Ash said. He couldn't believe what he just saw. Aaron had ended his own life to save the entire city of people.
"So that's what Red was talking about." Ash said thinking about how brave Aaron must have been and how much pain his Lucario had to go through.
It was then something hit Ash. If Aaron died then without having any children, and he was Aaron's only son, how did their bloodline continue. It bugged Ash, because it meant the story wasn't complete. He had to know how their family's bloodline continued.
He tried connecting with the time flower again but it was no use. He had seen everything it had in it.
"There has to be something I'm missing. Maybe Red knows, I should ask him the next time we meet." Ash said to himself.

So that's the last of Sir Aaron's memories, sorry if you're wondering about how the bloodline wasn't broken. Don't worry you'll find out eventually.
For those of you also sad it will be the end of memories, all I can say is. You don't have to be sad :)
Also it will be a few chapters before Charizard Learns Blast Burn, a move like that will take time to learn. Especially with how much I've built it up
