Arriving at the airport, Chase was so anxious to go to the house that his dad left him, wondering what he would find there because his dad had left him this. House had trouble even keeping up with him as Chase almost ran to get a cab and handed the note to the driver and as they were driving through Byron Bay, to the house.

The taxi stopped by a house then and House paid as Chase almost jumped out of the cab. It was a Queenslander home, high of the ground and Chase almost ran up the stairs to the front door, exhausted when he was by the door but House was almost afraid Chase would knock the door down because he seemed so anxious to get inside.

He opened the door, running inside and stopped as he was in the living room.

But there was not much there. It was empty, barely personal and even House wasn't sure if they had ended up at the right house. There was only one picture on a small table by the couch, but other than there was nothing personal. Nothing that made this a home. Nothing that made it cozy.

''It is really just a house.'' Chase said. He took the mask of his face and it dropped from his hand, as he looked around, angry and disappointment making its way through him.

''I didn't know I was that disappointing.'' House joked back and Chase looked around.

''Honestly, what had you expected...?''

''I don't know, something!'' Chase said a little upset as he looked around.

''Had you expected a hobbit greeting you at the door, telling you that there is a dragon inside that lays on your dad's treasure...''

''No but I had expected to find something!'' Chase said upset, pulling open the drawers of the kitchen table that where empty as well. House wanted to stop him but Chase was throwing things aside. Angry Chase was pushing stuff around, looking at everything, not even sure what he was looking for but he was still hoping he would find something here, something that would tell him something that he didn't know about his dad, something that he was hoping for. But there was nothing.

Angry he tossed more stuff around, looking but there was nothing here.

''There isn't even one picture of my mom, my sister or me! He never cared!'' Chase said loud and upset.

There was a picture of Nora and of his half-siblings but there was nothing of Rowan's first family.

''Calm down, calm down!'' House said then, surprised as he had never seen Chase angry like this. He had seen Chase scared, sad, desperate when he was sick, but never this angry.

''Sit, calm down!'' House said then, pushing him down on the couch.

Chase pulled up his knees while on the couch, House feeling bad because he looked like a broken little boy.

''You know what I was looking for?'' Chase said then, softly, calm.

''A clue maybe that my dad wasn't such an asshole.'' Chase said then. He looked aside, out of the window.

''Some people are just assholes...like me.'' House said then.

''You are not an asshole, not like my dad.'' Chase said softly.

''He left you...''

''It was not the fact that he left me, it was the fact that he left me with my mom. He knew my mom could not care for me and I had to take care of her instead. I was only 15, my sister 2! She was 2! I had to switch between changing diapers and cleaning up my mom's mess.'' Chase said bitter.

''I am sorry.''

''Don't be sorry for me. I just feel bad that...'' He stopped.

''But you do feel bad for yourself. You know other people had a great youth and yours...yours wasn't all that great.'' House stated and Chase knew he was telling the truth.

''I am just upset that I couldn't save my sister..and she hates me...and she drinks just like my mom.'' Chase said and he let go of a little laughter. ''Isn't it ironic? My sister is drinking just like my mom and I am a doctor...like my dad...exactly as he wanted.''

''And your dad...he always send you money to do to med school, right?'' House asked then.

''Well you can't buy love.'' Chase frowned then.

''You can hire strippers.'' House said dryly, trying to cheer Chase up a little bit and finally he let go of a small smile again.

''True.'' He smirked then.

''You are right though, but you do have people caring for you...Foreman does...in his own non emotional way...Cameron does...in her own emotional way..and Wilson does...in his own Wilson way and...I do to.'' House admitted.

''Thank you.'' Chase said then and he got up then, exhausted.

''I will sleep here.'' He said then.

''no you should sleep in the bed.'' House said then and Chase wanted to walk away.

''Cha-Robert...I am sorry.'' House said then and Chase just nodded, numb.

''We can looks around tomorrow, maybe we will still find something.'' House said then, trying to cheer him up a little bit. Chase didn't really react.

''Thanks for coming here with me, I am sorry it was for nothing.'' Chase said then after a few seconds and House was pretty sure that he heard the man's voice breaking there for a second.

''We could still find something.'' House said then and he hesitated for a second but put his hand on Chase's shoulder then.

''You know how many patients I have found things when I looked in their homes...tomorrow I will help you look around here...and your dad might look like an asshole now...but everybody lies.''

Chase let go of a small smile now and walked up the stairs then.

Chase walked to the bedroom, exhausted, tired and even hurting because he had not found what he had hoped for and he felt a little stupid that he had been expecting something of his dad, he never should have expected something from that man, he never could expect something from his dad, why did he do that now.

He sat on the bed and looked around the room, it depressed him so much to just be here and he just wanted to go back to Melbourne, to his own home. After taking his medication and getting ready for bed he laid down in the bed. The bed his dad had been sleeping in.

The wind was howling outside and Chase closed his eyes, but opened them barely ten seconds later again, looking at the ceiling and not sure if he would be able to sleep tonight.

House was half asleep on the couch, the clock striking one when he realized he had been awake for almost half an hour now when he heard footsteps down the stairs.

''House?'' He suddenly heard and House sat up, Chase standing in the doorway, almost looking like a little boy with his head bow down low.

''What is it?'' House yawned.

''Can I sleep on the couch?'' Chase asked then and House looked up a little surprised.

''Why?''

''I can't sleep in the bed.'' Chase said as he shrugged.

House wanted to make a witty comment but he could see Chase was hurting and he got up then.

''Fine.'' He said then and got up, Chase taking his place in the sleeping back on the couch now. House sat down for just a second beside him.

''Try to sleep.'' He said then and Chase nodded. He wanted to tell him that everything would be all right, that he had overcome so much more than just this disappointment but left Chase be then, after just putting his hand on Chase's shoulder one more time as Chase laid down on the couch and tried to sleep again.

Walking to the bedroom, House looked at the empty house, the bedroom was just as bland as the rest of the house and he laid down on the bed. It was pretty comfortable so that couldn't be the problem, but he just wondered if it was because it had been the bed that his dad had been sleeping in and that was why he could not lay in it and sleep. That he couldn't bear the thought he was sleeping where his dad had been sleeping. That had been the place his dad had been dreaming, maybe about him.

House turned around, tried to sleep, but also he wasn't able to sleep, trying to think about the puzzle that was Rowan Chase...and why he had left this place to Robert.

NOTE: Chase and House arrived at Byron Bay and was so anxious to get in the home and find what his dad left him there, expecting to find something but when he saw the house was so empty, cold and he was really disappointed and angry and didn't dare to sleep in his dad's bed...and not even House seems to be able to solve the puzzle.

Upcoming: They go through the house and will they finally find more and does Chase find anything that he wants to find or is it a mistake to search for more?
