A/N I'm sorry this took so long, I went to my grandma's birthday and was gone all weekend. She turned 100! So this is the chapter you've been waiting for! The wedding!
The night before the wedding, I am forced to be separated from Tobias by Christina and all our friends. He stays with Uriah and Zeke, while Christina comes to my apartment.
She knocks on my door and when I open it, she has several bags. Her bag for her staying the night, her bag of makeup and hair supplies, my dress, and grocery bogs that I don't know what is in them.
"We are going tohave the best sleep over ever!" She says.
"Oh God,"I say. She just laughs and smiles.
"We are going to have so much fun! I brought chocolate and dauntless cake, and vodka, and candy."
"Christina, I don't want to get shitty the night before my wedding, I have a big day tomorrow!"
"We won't get shitty, we'll just have a few shots, nothing much."
"Fine."
She sets down her stuff and then starts to cut up the cake. She hands me a slice and eats one herself. When we're done, she pours two shots, one for me, one for her. We drink them and then talk with a glass of wine as we eat the candy and pop in a movie.
It's very relaxing to have a night of just us. Especially after all this crazy planning.
We end up falling asleep on the couches while watching the movie and wake to the sound of her alarm that she set on her phone. She gets up and shakes me. "Wake up, Tris!"
I slowly get up and she is handing me coffee and a bagel. An hour later, my mom and dad arrive. My mom smiles at me and tells me how happy she is for me. "Thank you, mom,"I say as I hug her. She has tears in her eyes.
My dad smiles at me and then hugs me too.
"I love you,"he tells me.
"I love you too, dad." I say to him and kiss his cheek.
Christina pulls me into the bathroom where she starts to do my hair and makeup. It seems like forever. She has me constantly opening and closing my eyes, moving my head and looking up.
She curls my hair and the puts it in the most beautiful hair style i have ever seen. My mom presents me with the only piece of jewelry she owned. A blue necklace that she wore when she got married. After that day, she put it away and never touched it.
Until now.
She bestows it upon my chest, clasping it behind my neck.
"It looks so beautiful on you." She says.
After I am dressed in my wedding gown, we makeour way to the spot of our wedding. It's out in the field by the Ferris wheel. Chairs are set up with a beautiful altar. A tent is set up to shield everyone from the beating Sun, and two more are to hide us from each other until it's time. In one of them, Tobias waits for me. In another, I will wait.
Christina is dressed in a beautiful silver sequin dress. Normally I wouldn't like sequins, but I actually love these dresses. Marlene, Shauna, and Lynn are also dressed like her. They hold flowers that match mine, but the bouquets are smaller.
My mom comes in and asks me,"are you ready?"
"Yes." I say.
My dad comes in and he has tears in his eyes. "Oh, daddy,"I say sadly as I wipe his tear and kiss his cheek. "I love you, dad."
"I love you too, Beatrice."
I hear the music playing and I take his arm. He leads me from the tent, to the path made of flowers by the flower girl, Lexi James, Nikki's younger sister who Tobias and I just adore. Hector is the ring bearer.
I look up to see him standing next to Zeke, Uriah, and Will.
He looks so handsome. Like a God himself. His tuxedo looks so perfect on him, his hair is spiked up in the front and he has a smile on his face that only I could give him. He is Tobias in this moment, not Four.
I can feel the tears welling up in my eyes.
When I reach him, my dad kisses my cheek and places my hand on his.
"We are gathered here today to witness the joining of Tris Prior and Tobias Eaton." Says the preacher. Everyone sits down and listens to what he has to say about love and marriage.
Then it's time for our vows.
"Tris, I fell in love with you the first time I saw you. My eyes met yours and I knew that I had to get to know you. I wanted to protect you and I didn't know why, but I'm happy I did, because I love you with all my heart and promise to love you for eternity."
"Tobias, I love you with all my heart. I can't live without you and I am so thankful that I have you. I never thought about love until I met you. You showed me what true love looks like, and feels like. You showed my the true you, you showed me love."
"Do you, Tobias Eaton, take Tris Prior?"
"I do,"he says confidently.
"Do you, Tris Prior, take Tobias Eaton?"
"I do."
"I pronounce you Mr. and Mrs. Tobias and Tris Eaton. You may now kiss the bride."
Tobias takes me in his arms and presses his lips to mine. This kiss is passionate and sweet. It's filled with love. Love from my husband.
We walk down the aisle hand in hand as everyone cheers. This is it, we're finally married. He is finally my husband and I his wife.
