Ch 32: Problems and Surfing
It was late in the morning on route 19 and the group were making their way to the coastline. It had been 3 days since they left Fuchsia city and they were close.
The path they were on had several ridges above them with bushes and trees near the edge. Along the other side of the path was water.
"We must be getting close, I can already see the water." Serena said.
"At the coastline there should be a small town with a ferry that can take us to the seafoam islands." Lucy said.
"Too bad we can't spend the day at the coast." Serena said.
"Trust me the Seafoam islands are much better. People come from around the world to vacation there." Brock said.
"Is Scyther getting any better?" Lucy asked.
"No." Serena said looking a little down.
Ash put his hand on her shoulder.
"Don't worry Serena we'll get through to him." Ash said.
"Pika." Pikachu said saying he hoped it would be less dangerous than with Charizard.
"Hey look!" Brock said.
They saw a small town at the base of a bay leading to the open ocean.
"We're here." Ash said.
The group hurried into the town and saw a number of younger people with their pokemon.
"Excuse me?" Serena asked a young man with a Squirtle beside him and a surfboard in hand. He turned to them.
"We're looking for the Ferry to the Seafoam islands." Serena asked.
"Oh yeah, that's down by the water on the east side of town." He said as he and his Squitle pointed in that general direction.
"Thanks." Brock said.
The group went down in that direction and saw a dock in the water, but no ferry boats.
"Hey where's the ferry?" Serena asked.
The group went onto the dock and saw a worker hammering in some nails to a wooden support.
"Excuse us, but where's the ferry we were told it would be here?" Serena asked.
The worker turned to them.
"Sorry, but the last ferry left at 10:40. Next one won't leave till tomorrow at 9:00." He said.
"What!? Awe." Serena said sounding disappointed.
"Well I guess that means we're spending the night here." Lucy said.
"That's ok, we can spend the day working more with Scyther." Ash said. Ash and Serena were on a more secluded area of the beach with Brock and Lucy with them.
"Are you sure you don't want our help?" Lucy asked.
"We can handle this, you two enjoy yourselves." Ash said.
"Alright, besides I've always wanted to try surfing." Brock said.
"Good luck you guys." Lucy said before she and Brock walked off.
Serena took a deep breath before she slowly took out Scyther's pokeball.
Pikachu leapt down from Ash's shoulder as he let out his Charizard.
Charla also came out of her pokeball. She didn't trust Scyther, the last two times Serena tried to train with him he attacked her.
"Go Scyther." Serena said.
Scyther came out of his pokeball and stared at Serena with an aggressive expression.
"Scy." He said.
"Scyther, please just listen to me." Serena said.
"Scyther!" He shouted before he flew at her with his blades raised.
Charizard was about to intervene when Charla came in first and grabbed Scyther at the base of his arms, holding him in place.
"Grauu!" Charla roared right into Scyther's face, before hurling him back onto the ground.
Charizard was impressed at how fast Charla was able to react to her trainer being in danger, as well as how aggressive she got.
Serena sighed.
Charizard walked over to Scyther and stood over him with a disappointed expression.
"Grauu." Charizard growled. From his aura connection to Charizard, Ash could understand what he was saying.
Apparently Charizard told Scyther that this attitude of his would get him no where. That is was unacceptable for him to act this way. Claiming that he needed to treat his trainer with more respect.
"Scy!" Scyther shouted. He claimed that Serena had done nothing to deserve his respect.
Charizard knew exactly the mindset of Scyther, as it was the same mindset he had when he first evolved. He believed he was stronger than anyone or anything and that Ash wasn't worthy of being his trainer.
He knew though that when the other pokemon tried to tell him otherwise he didn't listen. He only realized what he had done after Ash saved his life and spent all night tending to his wounds.
Charizard turned to Ash.
"Grauu." He growled telling Ash what Serena needed to so.
Ash and Pikachu nodded upon hearing this. Charla too thought it was a good idea.
"Charizard says that the best way for Scyther to start listening to you is for you to earn his respect and show him that you are a good trainer. It is how I got Charizard to start listening to me." Ash said.
"Alright , but how could we do this?" Serena asked.
"Have you tried having Charla or one of your other pokemon battle him?" Ash asked.
"I tried that once, he just refused to battle any pokemon that obeyed me." Serena said.
"Maybe Scyther would gain some respect for you if he could see that pokemon you trainer are much stronger than wild pokemon." Ash said.
"That's not a bad idea." Serena said.
"Plus if he saw you do well against a pokemon that beat him." Ash said.
"Like who?" Serena asked.
Ash took out a Pokeball.
"Go Tauros!" Ash shouted as he let out his massive pokemon.
Tauros huffed and scraped his hoof against the ground. Scyther turned upon hearing Tauros and gave him a nasty look.
"Oh right. Scyther was beaten by Tauros back in the Safari zone." Serena said.
"Have Charla battle him." Ash said.
"Alright let's do this Charla." Serena said.
"Grauu!" Charla growled.
She stood on one end of the beach while Ash and Tauros stood on the other.
"Tauros use Horn attack." Ash said.
Tauros lowered his horns and charged right at Charla.
"Charla use Flamethrower!" Serena shouted.
Charla opened her mouth and unleashed a massive jet of fire.
"Work up!" Ash shouted. Tauros focused his energy and increases his attacking power before charging right through the fire. While he did take some damage, he was able to charge through it easily.
"Charla fire first and grab his horns!" Serena shouted. Charla covered her claws in fire then grabbed Tauros's horns as he reached her. The sheer momentum of Tauros still forced Charla back several feet, yet she still kept her claws on his horns.
She tried to dig her claws into the ground.
"Use your wings!" Serena shouted. Charla brought her wings up and used them to flap backward, pushing her forward and finally stopping Tauros.
"Fire fist." Serena shouted Charla still holding Tauros's horns, hurled him back making him hit the ground then roll back onto his feet.
Tauros , however, was quick to recover and lowered his horns at Charla.
"Take down!" Ash shouted.
"Moaa!" Tauros shouted before he charged forward at Charla's flank.
"Charla at your side!" Serena shouted. Charla tried to turn, but was too late and was hurled back by Tauros's horns and forced onto her back.
"Thrash!" Ash shouted.
"Moaa!" Tauros huffed as he continued to put the pressure on Charla with his horns while she was still on the ground.
Serena could easily tell Ash was going all out on this battle. Which meant she would have to go above and beyond if she wanted to win.
"Charla Flamethrower!" Serena shouted. Charla turned her head as Tauros came up again and blasted him right in the face with fire.
Tauros wasn't forced off her but moved back enough for her to move her arms and wings.
"Charla use Fire first then into the air!" Serena shouted Charla smashed her fist across Tauro's face and hurled him off her before taking off into the sky.
Pikachu, Charizard, and Scyther were watching from he side.
"Pika." Pikachu said sounding impressed.
Charizard also nodded. The two turned to Scyther who looked only slightly impressed.
"Grauu." Charizard growled at him making Scyther sweat drop in fear.
"Fire spin." Serena shouted. Charla opened her mouth and unleashed a massive spinning jet of fire surrounding Tauros.
"Air slash!". Serena shouted.
Tauros tried to find Charla, but the fire around him made it hard to see her.
Charla flew down and slashed across Tauros's side.
Tauros grunted as Charla flew back up.
"Flamethrower into Air slash!" Serena shouted.
Charla unleashed a massive jet of fire down at Tauros as she flew down at him.
Tauros was hit, but now knew where Charla was.
"Horn attack forward!" Ash said. Tauros came up through the fire and smashed his horns into Charla as she came down at him.
"Grauu." Charla grunted as Tauros continued to push her into the ground with his horns.
"Grauuu!" Charizard roared to Charla.
"Grauu!" Charla roared back.
"Charla brings your legs up!" Serena shouted.
Charla brought her legs up and under Tauros's stomach before kicking up and forcing him off her.
"Fire fist into Air slash!" Serena shouted. Charla slammed her flaming fist across his face , forcing him back before she flew over and slashed across his body.
Tauros hit the ground hard as Charla began breathing deeply.
Tauros tried to get up, but couldn't and fell back down with his eyes swirling.
"We won!" Serena shouted.
"Grauu!" Charla roared.
"Grauu!" Charizard roared sounding proud of her.
"Pika!".
Scyther looked a bit impressed. He remembered all too well how easily he was defeated by Tauros.
Tauros slowly got up as Ash stood beside him and put his hand on his hide.
"Good job Tauros, you did great." Ash said.
"Charla , awesome job." Serena said as Charla continued panting.
"Great battling Serena, I think Scyther will have some more respect for you." Ash said.
Charizard walked over and placed his claws on her shoulders.
"Grraau." He growled saying she battled very well.
"Gar." Charla growled back blushing slightly.
"Pika, Pikachu." Pikachu said to Scyther asking if her was impressed with Serena yet.
"Scyther." Scyther said he was impressed with how Charla battled, but he still wasn't sure he wanted to listen to Serena, saying that Charla was stronger than Tauros, but Ash was clearly the better trainer and that he would rather train under him.
Pikachu sweat dropped before he turned and explained to Ash what Scyther just said.
Ash then sweat dropped.
"Uh Serena, we may have a bit of a problem." Ash said as he told her.
She sighed before lowing her head.
Ash came over and put his hands on her shoulders.
"Why don't we take a break, head down to the beach and have some fun." Ash said.
Serena raised her head.
"Alright a break doesn't sound bad." Serena said.
They went back to the pokemon center and changed into their swimsuits Ash was wearing his black and blue striped suit as he came out of the dressing room.
"Alright Serena I'm ready." Ash said.
Serena then came out wearing a new red and violet bikini she bought back at the princess festival. It was slightly smaller than the one she had wore in Vermilion city.
"You look, uh nice." Ash said as his face turned red.
"Pika." Pikachu said sweat dropping.
"Alright let's go." Serena said. Ash could tell that she was still feeling a bit down about Scyther, he hoped some time at the beach would help.
When they got there they saw many people with surfboards or surfing in the main surf line up. Many of the surfers had water type pokemon like Squirtle, Psyduck, Poliwhirl, Krabby , or slowpoke riding at the front of their surf boards.
Ash and Serena's pokemon spread out to enjoy the beach too. Wartortle quickly rushed into the water and began swimming. Pikachu stayed on Ash's shoulder. The two Charizards found an area where they could rest. Ivysaur , Haunter, and Tauros were near the edge of the water trying to splash each other and cool off in the wake.
Absol, Nidorina, and Misdreavus were trying to dig in the sad when Absol noticed Eevee looking out at the water.
"Sol?" He said.
Scyther found himself a ridge above the sand where he could be alone.
"There are certainly a lot of surfers here." Serena said.
"I wonder where Brock and Lucy are?" Ash asked.
That is when they saw a wave in the wake come down and Brock on a surfboard riding.
"Is Brock surfing?" Serena asked as she and Ash sweat dropped.
Moments later they saw Brock loose balance and crash into the water.
Lucy was on another wave surfing very well with Milotic swimming beside her.
Brock walked onto the shore with Lucy behind him.
"Surfing is awesome." Lucy said.
"Yeah it's pretty fun." Brock said.
"You just had an off run." Lucy said.
"Hey guys." Ash said.
"Ash, Serena. Did you get anywhere with Scyther?" Brock asked.
"Not really. We just came here to take a break." Ash said.
"You guys should try surfing. It's amazing." Lucy said.
"Sure that does sound fun." Ash said.
"Pika!".
""Sigh" I don't know. I might just try to get some sun." Serena said sounding a little down.
"Come on Serena, at least try it." Ash said.
"Alright fine." Serena said.
A few minutes later Ash and Serena were paddling out to the surf.
Ash saw a wave forming up under them.
"Alright here we go." Lucy said as she got up followed by Brock, then Ash. Pikachu walked to the front of Ash's surfboard as Serena tried to stand up.
However, unlike the others she couldn't find balance and nearly fell down.
"Woah." She said as she went to her knees.
"Serena you need to get to your feet." Brock said.
"I know one sec." Serena said as she tried to get up.
She still couldn't find her balance and went back to her knees.
"Serena , the wave's coming." Ash said sweat dropping.
"Hold on." Serena said as she got back to her feet in a wobbly stance as the wave built up and reached them.
"Here we go." Ash said.
"Pika!" Pikachu said sounding excited. The wave went forward as the group began to surf across it.
"Pika!" Pikachu shouted having a lot of fun.
"Woah, Lucy you were right this is fun!" Ash shouted. His skills as an aura guardian allowed him to maintain good balance and move good on the surf board.
"Serena how are you doing?" Ash asked when he saw her loose control and wipeout.
"Oh no." Ash said as he and Pikachu sweat dropped.
After the wave ended the three met Serena who pulled herself back onto her board.
"Well that was horrible, I think I swallowed a cloyster." Serena said.
"It was just your first run." Ash said.
"I don't know if I want to do this anymore." Serena said.
"Come on Serena, don't give up after one try." Lucy said.
"Fine." Serena said. They paddled back out to the surf and got ready.
"Here we go." Ash said as the wave started to build up under them.
Serena struggled to get up again, and wobbled as she stood upright.
As Ash and Pikachu began surfing Lucy surfed past them.
"You'd think more guardians would do this." Lucy said. Ash turned to see how Serena was doing and saw stumble and fall off her board again.
"Yahh!" Serena screamed.
"Oh boy." Ash said as he and Pikachu sweat dropped again.
Serena tried another two times and wiped out both times.
"Oh Serena." Lucy said sweat dropping.
"I'll go check on her." Ash said as he paddled over to her.
She came out of the water and put her arms across the board.
"That's it, I'm done surfing. I'm just not good at it and I'm getting no where." Serena said sounding very frustrated.
Ash could tell that she was venting from Scyther through their aura connection.
"Serena, I think you're upset about more than just surfing." Ash said.
Serena sighed.
"I don't know. I guess I just never had a pokemon act like Scyther does to me. I mean he even said he's rather have you as a trainer. It makes me feel like I'll just be a second class trainer to you." Serena said.
"Serena, you know better than to think that way." Ash said in a rather stern tone.
Serena looked back up at him.
"You've been raising and training pokemon for years now. Just because one doesn't instantly love you doesn't make you a bad trainer. You just have to stay determined and remember everything you've done." Ash said.
"Pika!".
Serena thought more about it and realized Ash was right. She was beating herself up over something that wasn't her fault. Even if she had to earn Scyther's respect she could do it because she was a good trainer.
"You're right Ash. When we're done here I'm going to make Scyther respect me one way or another!" Serena said sounding very determined.
"That's my girl. Now as for the surfing, why don't you ride on my board with me I can show you how to surf." Ash said.
"Alright sounds good." Serena said as she pulled herself up onto her board with her back facing Ash.
That was when Ash and Pikachu saw that after wiping out 4 times, Serena's bikini bottom had fallen down just above her knees.
Ash's face turned red.
"Uh Serena." Ash said nervously.
"What?" She said as she stepped onto his board and put her arms around his shoulders.
"Your bottom." He said.
Serena looked down and her face turned red too.
"Oh." She quickly pulled them up.
"Let's not mention this to Brock and Lucy." Serena said.
Meanwhile back on the beach Absol , Nidorina , and Misdreavus noticed Eevee was still staring at the water.
The three walked over to him.
"Sol."
"Mis."
"Ni."
They said asking why he kept staring at the water.
"Eevee." Eevee said explaining that he had never seen the ocean and that he was very interested in being able to swim in water.
"Absol." Absol saying one day he may be able to do that if he chose a certain path.
Meanwhile back in the water Ash and Serena stood together on the same surfboard as they rode across a wave. Ash stood directly behind Serena with her hans on her stomach as he tried to show her the correct position.
"You see , you've got it." He said.
"Yeah I do." Serena said blushing. Learning to surf was nice, but being this close to Ash was even better.
That is when they felt something in the water.
"Pika?" Pikachu shouted as he felt it too.
"What was that?" Brock asked as they came out of the wave near them. The group's pokemon on the beach could see something rustling in the water out deeper.
Moments later a massive Gyarados burst out of the water and roared as loud as he could.
"A Gyarados?" Ash asked.
"Don't worry man, it's just that time of year. The Gyarados try to roar real load and show off to the females so they can get some." A surfer said as he paddle near by.
"Right?" Ash said sweat dropping.
"So long as you don't bother them they won't bother you." The surfer said.
Back on the ridge above the beach Scyther saw the Gyrados roaring.
He took it as a challenge and got up.
"Scyther!" He shouted before he quickly flew out at him.
"Hey look what's Scyther doing?" Lucy said as she saw him flying out towards Gyrados.
"He's going to try and fight him!" Brock shouted.
"Scyther no stop!" Serena shouted.
"Pika!" Pikachu shouted.
Scyther didn't listen to them and raised his blades at the Gyarados.
When the massive sea serpent saw this he turned his head to Scyther and roared as he unleashed a massive Hyperbeam that hit Scyther dead on and blasted him out of the air.
"Scyther!" Serena shouted as he fell into the water and began to sink.
"I have to get him!" Serena shouted as she leapt onto Brock's board and pushed him off before paddling out after Scyther.
"Serena wait! That Gyarados is still out there!" Ash shouted.
"I don't care!" Serena shouted.
Charla could see this on the beach and quickly leapt up before flying out at the Gyarados.
When the Gyarados saw Serena swimming out at him he roared at her before he felt something slash across the back of his head.
He turned to see Charla flying there growling.
The Gyarados roared again before unleashing a Hydro pump only to have Charla dodge it and fly in again using air slash.
When Serena got close enough she dove in and began swimming down further. That is when she realized there were several Gyarados around her and Scyther. Her situation was bad , but she knew she had to save Scyther. Even if he didn't respect her, he was her pokemon and it was her duty to save him.
She finally got close enough and grabbed his chest before swimming back up. She felt her throat and lungs get sore as she began to run out of air.
She kicked as hard as she could with several Gyarados moving under her. As her vision began to fade she finally reached the surface and gasped for breath.
She then swam over to her board and placed Scyther on top of it as he began to cough up water.
"Scy." He said as he opened his eyes and saw Serena.
"Oh thank heavens, you're alright." Serena said. Scyther then realized what had just happened. His overconfidence had nearly gotten him killed and Serena, someone he didn't respect just dove into a Gyarados infested area to save him.
That is when they both realized Gyarados was still in front of them.
He roared before a massive bolt of electricity hit him and he shrieked in pain.
The two turned to see Pikachu and Ash had come over.
"Serena!" Ash shouted.
"Ash!" She shouted back.
Charla flew down and picked up them both before flying back to the beach. Ash's Charizard did the same with him and Pikachu.
When they landed they saw the rest of the group was there.
"Are you guys ok?" Lucy asked.
"We are now." Serena said.
"Let us look at Scyther." Brock said as he and Chansey walked over to him.
Scyther turned over to Serena.
"Scy." He said.
"Pika." Pikachu said.
"Scy, Scyther." Scyther said.
"Pikachu." Pikachu said turning to Ash.
He explained to him what Scyther said.
"Serena, Scyther said he was amazed at how you just dove into Gyarados infested water to save him. He said anyone bold enough to do that has earned his respect and he will follow you anywhere." Ash said.
"Really! Oh Scyther." Serena said as she came over and hugged him.
"Well that's one problem taken care of, and almost the same way as it was before." Ash said as Charizard nodded.
Later that night Ash and Serena were in their room at the pokemon center.
Ash was already in bed and Serena was changing out of her cloths.
"Quite a day huh." She said as she took off her shirt then pulled down her shorts. Not in just her black bra and panties she climbed into the bed next to Ash.
"Tomorrow we'll be on our way to the Seafoam islands. Plus Scyther is finally listening to me." Serena said.
"Plus you can surf now." Ash said.
"Truthfully I enjoyed sharing the board more than the surfing." Serena said blushing.
"Really." Ash said before he pulled her over and onto him.
Serena put her arms around Ash's chest before kissing him as he brought his hands to where he thought the back of her panties were. Ash's face turned red when he realized they weren't.
"Uh Serena." He said. She looked back and saw when she pulled her shorts down she had also pulled her panties down.
Her face turned red for a moment.
"Really again." She said before she sighed.
"You know what , I really don't care anymore. We're not doing it, and we're practically married." She said before she resumed kissing him as Ash's face stayed red.
Several minutes later when Ash was sure Serena and Pikachu were asleep he reached into his bag and took out the red time flower.
"Finally, I get to find out who this guardian was. I wonder if he was one of my ancestors like Vaeron?" Ash said. When he held the time flower he felt a strange sensation that he had not felt the last time he held it.
He hadn't connected his aura to the flower yet, but for some reason he could feel the aura of the guardian from the flower interacting with his own. Just as Vaeron's aura had done in Kalos when he had interacted with something Vaeron had.
This clearly meant that whoever the guardian was had to be his blood ancestor. Though Ash wondered why this had never happened with Aaron.
That is when Ash felt his ancestor's aura meet completely with his own. His vision was altered as his ancestor's memory became visible.
He saw a jungle like environment. Thick with trees, vines , and foliage. Ash could also see something in the trees. It looked like a young human except with a bit tanner skin and slight backwards fang like appendages across his forearms and a sturdier looking body with a few more longer backwards claw like appendages going across the spine and through the creatures's shirt. He wore a white robe like shirt with the hood down. If Ash had to put an age on it, he looked maybe 14 years old.
The creature had very short raven black hair and blue eyes. He also had a very serious expression on his face.
"What? How is that thing my ancestor?" Ash asked.
The creature stood up on a tree branch before he took a deep breath and used his aura vision to look at the environment around him.
He then spoke an a very old sounding language.
"Pokemon prope nulla, sed hora. Velim domum cibum colligere."
However, just like with Vaeron and Aaron Ash could understand what he was saying.
"There are no pokemon nearby, but it is getting late. I should collect the food and get hom." He said in a rather serious tone.
He then with great agility began parkouring across the trees and branches, landing perfectly on each branch or catching himself on them and propelling himself forward to the next.
He did this for several minutes before he leapt forward and performed something like a leap of faith into a pile of vines and leaves below. As he got out he walked over to a bush with oran berries growing on it , then began plucking them and putting them in a bag.
That is when he heard something with his advanced senses.
"I should get going before a pokemon finds me." He said still in a serious tone.
"A pokemon finds him?" Ash asked feeling very confused.
The creature then scaled the side of a tree and began leaping across more tree branches. He did this for several minutes before he landed on a thinner branch and it snapped.
The creature went tumbling down, but landed safely in a pile of vines and leaves.
"How convenient." he said as he got up. That is when he felt another aura near him. A pokemon's aura.
"Gra!" He heard in the sound of a terrified growl. The human like creature turned to see what looked like a Riolu. However, instead of being blue and black, this Riolu was red and black. He was also a bit larger than a normal Riolu. He had a few black spike like appendages along his spine and forearms as well.
"Yahh! Pokemon!" The human like creature shouted before he stumbled backwards and hid behind a tree.
When he looked at the Riolu again he noticed that he wasn't coming after him.
"What?" He asked. He then noticed the Riolu was on the ground and one of his legs looked very hurt. It had bite and slash marks all over it and the Riolu looked like he was in great pain.
When the Riolu saw him, he also saw a look of terror and fear across his face as his eyes began to tear up.
"Gra." He growled sounding scared.
The human like creature then tried something he had never tried before. Nor had any of his people tried before.
He reached out to the Riolu and felt his aura. He couldn't believe what he felt. He felt emotions, feelings, coming from the Riolu. He and his people had always thought that Pokemon were cold mindless killing machines, but now he could actually feel something inside this pokemon. More than that, the pokemon's aura was responding to his.
"He's, he's just as afraid of me as I am of him." The creature said before he got up and slowly walked over tot he Riolu with his hand up.
"Gra!" Riolu shouted in fear.
"No, please I don't want to hurt you." He said as he tried to reach to this pokemon's aura gain and convince him. As he got closer the Riolu looked up at him again.
"I don't want to hurt you." He said.
He knelt down in front of the pokemon and touched his hand to the hurt Riolu's leg and tried to heal him with his aura like his teacher had taught him too.
The Riolu was very scared at first, but then felt his pain start to fade away.
"Gra?" Riolu said sounding confused.
He didn't understand why he was helping him instead of killing him.
He then felt the creature's aura as he felt his. They were both amazed at how similar their aura's actually were.
As the human like creature continued to use his aura, he felt his own energy begin to fade.
Ash remembered early stages of training, before someone could master aura it could drain away their energy.
When the human like creature was exhausted he moved his hand up and wiped the sweat off his face.
"You should be better now. Can you stand?" He asked. Just as the Riolu tried to stand up, they felt another aura come closer.
"Gra!" Riolu shouted as he realized who it was.
The human like creature turned to see 3 Raticate like pokemon leap out of the foliage and sprint at him.
The Raticates had black fur, red eyes, longer claws, and a horn in the center of their foreheads.
"No!" The human like creature shouted. He tried to run, but was too tired and was tackled to the ground by the 3 Raticate who then tried to claw and bite him. Riolu knew who these Raticate were, they were the same ones who wounded him.
The Riolu got up and was about to run when he saw them continue to attack the human like creature who helped him. Despite everything he thought, he helped him.
Riolu grit his teeth and turned to the human creature.
"Gra!" He shouted before sprinting over with his paws raised. The three Raticate raised their heads just in time to see him.
He slammed the center one with Force palm, then hit the second one with his other palm.
The third one rushed forward and slammed into Riolu with quick attack. Riolu stumbled backwards before the Raticate leapt forward and bit down on his arms with Hyper Fang.
Despite the pain, Riolu knew if he didn't do something then the human would die.
"Gra!" Riolu shouted before he forced his arms forward and Raticate off him.
He then leapt forward and slammed his palm into the Raticate's face, hurling him back into a tree. When he got up he ran off with the other 2 Raticate. The human like creature got up and walked over to Riolu.
"You , you saved me." He said.
"Gra." Riolu said smiling. The two stared at each other before the human like creature knelt down.
"We're wrong about pokemon. All of us. You're not mindless monsters." He said.
"Gra."
It was then Ash realized something, this memory it went exactly like a story he knew from the aura guardian book.
"No , it can't be." Ash said.
"I should probably tell you my name. I am Altaïr Ibn-La'Ahad." He said.
"It's true!" Ash screamed. The memory ended and Ash's head shot up as sweat came down from his face.
Serena and Pikachu's eyes shot open when they heard Ash scream.
"Pika?" Pikachu asked.
"Ash, what's wrong? Did you have a bad dream?" Serena asked.
"No, just a very shocking revelation." Ash said.
"Really what?" Serena asked.
"You know Altair, the first aura guardian and trainer." Ash said.
"Yeah?" Serena asked.
"I just found out he's my ancestor." Ash said.
"What!?".
"Pika!?".
"Wait until Red finds out." Ash said.

Yup the big reveal Ash is related to Altair, is your wondering why the pokemon look different in Altair's age , remember it was thousands of years before even Vaeron who is 3000 years older than Ash.
So scyther will listen to Serena now
Also they won't be getting to the Seafoam islands just yet
Expect more memories from Altair in the future chapters, also if your wondering what his voice sounds like, well Vaeron's voice was Ezio from brotherhood in x and y Ash's beginnings, in this story Revelations, when you see adult Altair he will sound like Altair does in the first Assassins creed, I never liked his voice change in revelations, I thought the original was way better
