CH 34: Battling Eevee Brothers
It was early in the morning and the group was still aboard the pirate vessel with the senator and other passengers. Because the ship was an old sailing vessel it took them all night to reach where they were.
As they looked over at the horizon, Serena could see what looked like an island.
"Hey look, is that one of the Seafoam islands?" She asked pointing to it. Ash and the others looked closer and saw where she was pointing.
"I think it is." Lucy said. As they got closer they saw the island get bigger and bigger, they also saw another 2 large islands right beside it.
"There they are, the Seafoam islands." Ash said. As they got closer Serena could see how beautiful they were. They looked like a lush paradise with palm trees, white beaches, thick tropical environments on the interior, and several resorts near the edges.
"It looks amazing." Serena said with a very excited expression.
"It is the biggest vacation spot in Kanto and one of the biggest in the entire world. I remember when my dad took our family here. I was about 8. I also remember when we were on the beach there was this little girl swimming in a tube wearing a blue bathing suit with a blue cap on her head. Anyway a school of tenatacool started swimming around her and she got scared. " Brock said.
"What happened?" Lucy asked.
"Well she called out to her parents , but apparently her mother must have thought she was a tentacool or something and she actually threw a pokeball at her." Brock said.
"Wow that's horrible." Serena said.
"Well my dad, who was still a marine at the time swam out there and got her before returning her to her father specifically. Then declared it a victory for the Kanto marines." Brock said.
"Really." Lucy said as she and the others sweat dropped.
"I know, but at least he saved that girl. I wonder what ever happened to her?" Brock asked.
"Alright people we're going to drop anchor near the beach and row in." The captain said knowing they couldn't just go to the docks.
The crew took the passengers off the ship on the longboats. Eventually it was just the group and the senator.
"I'd just like to thank you all again for keeping me safe from team rocket." He said.
" It was no problem." Ash said.
"Senator, we need to go." One of the soldiers said.
"Alright , good luck to you all. We left you a longboat whenever you're ready to leave. " The senator said before he and his guards got on the second to last boat and rowed off.
"So what's the plan?" Serena asked.
"The aura guardians should be here in soon, I sent Charizard to find them and tell them about the ship. We just need to wait and have some breakfast." Ash said.
After getting their breakfast out they sat down on the main deck and started eating.
"So what's the plan for today after the guardians pick up the ship?" Brock asked.
"Well I was hoping we could head to the beach, then maybe head in town and do some shopping." Serena said.
"Eh." Ash started as Pikachu gave an equally nervous look.
"I hear there are also a lot of shops selling evolution stones here." Brock said.
"Really?" Ash asked.
"Yeah, apparently the mountain has a lot of evolution stones that are mined out of it. The stones are also suppose to be some of the best in the world." Lucy said.
"How can one evolution stone be better than another?" Ash asked.
"I have no idea." Lucy said.
"Plus there are a lot of trainer shops there too." Brock said.
"Well it would be nice seeing all the stones and trainer gear." Ash said.
After finishing their breakfast a group of 5 aura guardians with a Lucario, A Pidgeot, a Gengar, an Alakazam, and a Scizor took a boat out and climbed aboard the ship.
"So you're the guardians who found Jake Neiwlon's ship?" The master Guardian said.
"Yes master." Lucy said.
"Well done, we've been searching for this ship for over a hundred years. It's good we can now finally put Jake and his Blastoise to rest." Another guardian said.
"Their bodies and treasure are inside the captain's cabin." Ash said.
"We'll take care of things from here." The master said as the group took the longboat off the ship and to the shore.
As they did, the 5 guardians and their pokemon raised the ships anchor and let out the sails. The ship sailed off to another part of the island.
"I still can't believe we actually found a real pirate treasure." Brock said as he took out some of the doubloons he took.
"You were certainly having fun on that ship." Lucy said smiling.
"I guess it was my inner 8 year old." Brock said.
"Are any of you guys going to sell yours?" Ash asked.
"These would be worth a lot of money. But I think it would be a mistake to just give up something like that." Lucy said.
"Plus it's a memento to a special memory we shared together." Serena said.
"Like when Cassidy got all her hair cut off." Ash said.
"Exactly." Serena said smiling.
Eventually the group made it to the tourist area with the buildings and the main beach.
"Finally." Serena said.
"Let's check into a hotel, then head down to the shore." Ash said.
After checking into a nearby hotel and changing into their bathing suits, the group quickly made their way back to the beach.
"Alright guys come on out." Serena said as she let out all her pokemon.
"Time to have some fun guys." Brock said as he let his pokemon out.
"You too." Lucy said as she let her pokemon out.
"Come out guys." Ash said as he let his other pokemon and Pikachu leapt down onto the sand.
Lucy noticed there weren't any surfers out.
"No surfing too bad. That was fun." Lucy said.
"Well we still have the water. I'll race you in!" Brock shouted as he ran towards the water.
"No you don't!" Lucy shouted as she ran after him.
"Serena let's get in there." Ash aid.
"Uh Ash, mind if we just get some sun first. I'm still a little tired." Serena said sounding almost a little scared.
"Um alright, is everything alright?" Ash asked feeling she was a little scared from their aura connection.
"I'm fine, I'd just like a little sun." Serena said.
"Alright. Ash said before they laid out a pair of towels and laid down beside each other.
Pikachu laid down on Ash's right side while Charizard and Charla also laid down beside their respective trainer.
"Grauu." Charizard growled to Charla, saying he was impressed with how she took so many rock tombs while still continuing to fight a swam Beedrill.
"Grauu." Charla growled blushing.
She said she was amazed at how he was able to use Blast burn, a move that only legendary Charizards could master.
"Grauu." Charizard growled back saying it was only because of the moment, and he had more training to do before he could use it on demand.
"So when is your showcase exactly?" Ash asked.
"A few days from now. So I still have a some time to do some finishing up on Charla's and Absol's routines." Serena said.
"You could also start teaching her Blast burn. I doubt she'll learn it by the showcase, but she can make a start and get a wow factor for the performance." Ash said.
"That's a good idea, thanks Ash." Serena said before she gave him a kiss on the cheek.
The two and their pokemon soaked in the sun for several minutes before Ash,Serena and Pikachu began to sweat from the sheer heat.
Charizard and Charla on the other hand enjoyed the intense heat.
"It's getting pretty hot Serena, want to go in the water now?" Ash asked.
"Well, ok." Serena said one again sounding a little nervous. As they got up and walked over to the water with Pikachu beside them. As they did, Ash didn't notice Serena grab the top of her bikini bottom and pull it up more than it already was.
As they got to the edge of the water Serena saw Eevee staring out at the water.
"Why are you staring out at the water Eevee? Do you want to go in?" Serena asked.
"Eevee." Eevee said.
"Pika, Pikachu." Pikachu said to Ash.
"Pikachu says that Eevee said he has never been swimming in water before. He's always been interested by bodies of water, but never had the chance to swim in one." Ash said.
"So you want to swim. That's fine, you can come with us." Serena said as she picked him up and walked into the water with him in her arms. Ash and Pikachu followed them.
Eevee felt the water around him and it felt good, the heat faded away and he felt refreshed.
"Eevee." He said smiling.
"You want to try swimming?" Serena asked.
"Eevee!" Eevee shouted nodding.
"Alright just be careful." Serena said as she let him go. Eevee began swimming around and it felt amazing. It was like gravity had vanished and he was free to do anything he wanted to do. He loved it.
"He seems to like the water." Ash said when he and Pikachu saw how happy Eevee looked swimming around.
"He does." Serena said as she thought more about Eevee's future.
Moments later Eevee felt something moving under him.
"Eevee?" He said before Wartortle burst out of the water under him and tossed him into the air a foot before Eevee splashed into the water.
"War." Wartortle said laughing. Moments later he was splashed in the face by Serena.
"That wasn't funny Wartortle." She said in a stern tone. On the contrary, Eevee came back up looking like he had fun.
"Eevee!" Eevee shouted asking for Wartortle to do it again.
"War." Wartortle said giving Serena a bit of a smug smile as she sweat dropped.
"Well I didn't think it was funny Ash." Serena said before she noticed Ash was gone.
"Where's Ash?" Serena asked Pikachu.
"Pika?" Pikachu said shaking his head. That is when Serena felt something moving underneath her. Ash came up and grabbed Serena's legs as he held her on his shoulders and scared her a little.
"Gotcha." Ash said as Pikachu, Wartortle, and Eevee laughed a little.
"Oh really." Serena said before she moved her body back and shifted her weight backwards, making Ash loose his balance and having them both crash into the water.
Moments later they came back up with Serena in Ash's arms and Serena laughing. When Ash was fully up Serena blushed as Ash came in and kissed her.
A few minutes later they walked out of the water.
"Well that was fun." Ash said as Pikachu and Eevee shook some of the water out of their fur. Just before she got out, Serena felt her bikini bottom quick and let out a breath of releif.
"Well looks like I was scared for nothing." She said to herself.
Meanwhile as this happened Lucy was swimming with her Dratini and Milotic.
Dratini had never been in the ocean before, he spent most of his life in a waterhole. He had never been in water this vast and open. Not to mention Lucy and Milotic were very good at teaching him new ways to move in the water.
"Alright try it Dratini." Lucy said. Dratini swam up to the surface as fast as he could then shot out before flipping his body forward and landing back in the water.
"Mil." Milotic said sounding impressed.
"Very good." Lucy said before she felt someone splash her from behind. She turned to see it was Brock.
"Gotcha." He said.
"Really." Lucy said smiling before she used a pulse of aura to unleash a wave of water into Brock, knocking him off his feet and into the water.
As he got back up Lucy came over to him and wrapped her arms around her shoulders before kissing him. As this happened Dratini saw it and wanted Lucy to come back to him.
He swam over and tugged on her bikini bottom with his mouth. At first Lucy didn't notice until he pulled so hard that he accidentally let go and went underwater, slashing her.
She turned around and lifted him out of the water.
"Dratini, you can swim with Milotic. I don't need to be there every moment." Lucy said. Dratinin sighed and nodded before swimming back to Milotic.
Before Lucy turned back around Brock noticed something. When Dratini tugged at her bottom the last time, he pulled it down to her knees.
His face shot red.
"Uh." He started before Lucy turned back and kissed him. As Brock lowered his hands to her rear Lucy felt them and then looked down.
Her face turned red before she looked back at him.
"Did you?" She started.
"No." Brock said.
"Oh so that's how we're going to play it. Ok." Lucy said with a sly smile before she pushed him forward and underwater. Lucy went underwater after him.
Moments later Brock came up gasping for breath before Lucy came back up laughing.
"What did you do?" He asked. She slowly turned with a very excited expression as she revealed his swim trunks in her hands.
"Yahh!" Brock shouted.
"Come and get them." Lucy said as she went off deeper into the water with Brock chasing after her.
Twenty minutes later, the group left the beach and went back to the hotel to change into their normal cloths before heading into town to check out the markets.
Serena came out of a clothing store with Lucy after buying a few cloths.
"I liked their selection." Serena said.
"Me too." Lucy said. Ash and Brock walked out of a trainers store.
"Hey guys, find what you were looking for?" Serena asked.
"Yeah, new great balls." Ash said as he and Brock showed them the blue and red pokeballs.
"They're suppose to have a higher rate of catching pokemon." Brock said.
"Nice, those will certainly come in handy." Lucy said.
"We bought you guys one too." Ash said as he handed one to Serena and Brock handed one to Lucy.
"Wow thanks guys." Serena said.
"Now let's check out those evolution stones." Brock said.
"Yes lets." Serena said sounding excited. She knew today was the day she was going to ask Eevee if he wanted to evolve. She thought she knew what he wanted to evolve into and wanted to get him that stone.
Elsewhere in the store areas, a young boy was walking through the market with an Eevee ridding on his head and a small wooden case in his hands.
He was desperately looking around with a nervous expression.
"Come on, there has to be some way to get rid of them without them knowing." He said.
"Eevee."
Meanwhile Serena and the others were looking through a series of shops selling evolution stones.
Serena , Ash, and Pikachu could see all sorts of evolution stones. Fire stones, water stones, thunder stones, leaf stones, and moon stones.
"They certainly have a broad selection." Ash said.
"Geez look at the prices." Serena said as saw the price of the waterstone was over a thousand dollars.
"Woah, why are the stones so expensive? There were ones in Kalos that sold for 200 dollars?" Ash asked.
"These are better than those stones, the stones that come from this mountain are the finest in the world." The owner said.
"The stones are no different." Ash said as he and Pikachu sweat dropped.
"Well, let's agree to disagree." The shop owner said.
"Well I'm not paying a thousand dollars for an evolution stone." Serena said before she and Ash walked off.
"Who would pay a thousand dollars for an evolution stone?" Ash asked. That is when a wealthy looking man and a Poliwhirl walked up to the stand.
"Yes good sir I'd like to purchase a water stone." He said as he took out his checkbook and wrote it out to the shop owner.
Ash and Serena sweat dropped.
"Apparently him." Serena said.
Brock and Lucy walked over with disappointed looks.
"Yeah they're all overpriced." Lucy said.
"I saw a sun stone priced at 5000 dollars." Brock said.
The young boy continued walking when he saw and heard Serena.
"I just wanted a water stone without paying a fortune." She said before she saw a young boy who looked about 10 years old with somewhat long blond hair and brown eyes wearing a a white jacket with a stone with a sword in it symbol on the upper left chest and a black undershirt.
Sitting on his head was a small Eevee and in his hands a brown wooden case.
"You want a water stone miss. Here take this, thank you and goodbye." The boy said as he handed the case to Serena then quickly ran off.
"Wait who are you?" Serena asked before the boy was out of sight. The group sweat dropped.
"That was weird." Lucy said.
"What is this?" Serena asked as she opened the case. To her amazement she saw a fire, thunder, and water stone sitting inside.
"Three evolution stones?" She said in confusion.
"They look like the same kind from the market. Meaning they'd be worth a lot here." Brock said.
"Why would he just give them to you?" Ash asked.
"I don't know, but this is too big of a gift for me to just take. It doesn't feel right. I should return it." Serena said.
"But how do we find him?" Brock asked.
Serena saw there was a symbol on the case that was the same symbol as the one on the boy's jacket.
"Maybe someone in town will know about this." Serena said.
They went around the market and asked a few people about the symbol but some didn't know, and others seemed uncomfortable to answer.
Finally they found a woman who was willing to tell them.
"Yes I know that symbol, it is the symbol of the Knights of E Stone. It's an exclusive club where members must evolve their pokemon by means of evolution stone in order to enter." The woman said.
"Evolve by means of stone to enter?" Lucy said confused.
"That sounds wrong." Ash said.
"So that boy must have been one of their initiates. Then why would he give me these stones if he needed to evolve his Eevee?" Serena asked.
"Do you know where these Knights are?" Brock asked.
"I'm afraid not. They keep themselves hidden." She said.
"Thank you for your help." Serena said before the woman walked off.
"So how do we find them now?" Brock asked.
"H'mm, I have an idea. I probably should have done this from the start." Lucy said as she took a deep breath and looked at the case.
"If had the box for some time I can trace his aura to him." Lucy said. She followed the trail of aura with the others close behind.
They eventually made their way down the street until they found a set of stairs that lead down to a door.
Lucy tried to open the door, but it was locked.
"Locked, really." Lucy said before she took out her hidden blade and broke the door lock. She opened the door and the group followed her inside.
The group slowly walked through the white hallways and saw a man walking the other way. The man was wearing a white jacket like the boy was and had an Arcanine beside him.
"Should we ask him?" Serena asked.
"I'm not sure, if this is a secret organization he may not want us to be here. We should tail him." Lucy said.
The group carefully followed the man and his Arcanine. After a minute the Arcanine smelled something and turned around. However, when he turned he saw one one standing behind them.
"What is it Arcanine?" The man asked before he turned and also saw nothing.
"Come on let's go, the ceremony will be starting soon." He said as they walked down a set of stairs.
The group was lucky there was perpendicular running hallway beside them where they were able to hide.
"Ok tailing isn't as glamorous as you made it sound." Serena said.
"I never said tailing was fun. It's probably the most annoying and tedious thing to do. But necessary." Ash said.
"I can feel the boy's aura is close." Lucy said as she walked to a doorway. As they went through it they walked onto a balcony overlooking a massive room with over 3 dozen men and women wearing the same white jackets each with an evolved pokemon that evolved by means of evolution stones.
Standing in the front was a man wearing knights armor and the boy who gave Serena the stones standing in front of him.
"Now brothers and sisters, we induct young Mikey into the Knights of the E Stone!" The older man shouted.
"Hazahh!" The other members shouted.
"There he is." Serena said. The group saw the boy looked very nervous.
"Alright Mikey, show us your evolved Eevee." The man in armor said.
Mikey nervously took out his Eevee and revealed him in his un-evolved form.
"What?"
"How?"
"Why?" The group could hear from the crowd.
The man in armor gave a look a pure rage.
"Mikey! Your Eevee is still un-evolved! Why have you done this!?" He shouted.
Mikey gave a sad expression.
"I just couldn't do it. Eevee didn't want to evolve and I like him just the way he is." Mikey said.
"Mikey how could you disgrace our family like this!" Another voice shouted. The group saw 3 older boys who each looked about 18. One with red hair, one with blue hair, and one with yellow. They all wore the jackets and had a Flaeron, Vaporeon , and Jolteon beside them.
"Brothers I." Mikey started.
"Enough! You know the solemn ways of our order. Twas the Knights of the Evolution who evolved all their pokemon with the stones here. It was only then whey were able to hold this island from an invasion from Sinnoh. Do you mean to disgrace them!" The man shouted.
"Geez these people are way to harsh on them." Serena said.
"Now if you and your Eevee ever want to be worth something you will evolve him!" The man shouted.
"Hey leave them alone!" Ash shouted.
All eyes turned to him and the group.
"Maybe I didn't think that one through." Ash said sweat dropping.
"At least you stood up for him." Serena said. Mikey looked up and saw them.
"What are they doing here?" He asked.
"Intruders! Knights get them!" The man in armor shouted.
The members quickly ran at the group from the hallway to the balcony. Mikey, his brothers, the man in armor, and the pokemon watched in disbelief as the members were all beaten back and back by the group.
Ash and the others then walked down and up to Mikey.
"Who are these people." One of the members said as he rubbed his head.
"You're the girl I gave my stones too." Mikey said.
"Yes, and I came here to give them back to you. I can't accept a gift like this from a stranger. Mikey was it?" Serena asked as she extended the case back to him.
"Yes, take them back Mikey. Take them back and evolve your pokemon with them!" The man in armor shouted.
"No!" Ash shouted.
"What?" The man said as he turned to Ash.
"He doesn't have to evolve his Eevee if he doesn't want to." Ash said.
"If he wants to join the knights of the E stone he does. He's our little brother and our family has been members of this brotherhood since its founding." One of Mikey's brothers said.
"Does he even want to?" Brock asked.
"Well, being part of the knights has always been an ambition of mine. I just didn't want to evolve my Eevee." Mikey said.
"Un-evolved pokemon are worthless!" The man in armor shouted.
"They're not!" Lucy shouted back.
"They are, and if you had any sense you'd evolve that Pikachu yourself." The yellow haired brother said.
That is when Ashhad an idea.
"What if Mikey could prove that his Eevee doesn't need to be evolved to be strong." Ash said.
"What do you mean?" Mikey's red haired older brother asked.
"I say that Mikey and I have a double battle against two of you. If we win, Mikey get's to join without evolving his Eevee." Ash said.
"Ha! You believe that your un-evolved pokemon stands your chance. Fine."The man in armor said.
"You'd really be willing to battle for me and Eevee?" Mikey asked.
"Yes. We will." Ash said.
"Pika!" Pikachu shouted.
"Ok, then could you please tell me who you are exactly." Mikey said.
Ash and the others sweat dropped as they realized they they never actually told him their names.
Later that night the group followed Mikey to his home, a large mansion.
"This is where you live?" Brock said upon seeing the mansion.
"Yes, my father owns a resort and a few other businesses here." Mikey said as he took them towards the backyard.
"So if we want to beat your brothers, we'll need to do some practicing with your Eevee." Ash said.
"Ha! All the training in the world won't save your Eevee!" the group heard. They turned to see all 3 of Mikey's brothers standing their with their pokemon.
"I believe you met my brothers." Mikey said as he pointed to each of them.
"Rainer." He said pointing tot he blue haired one with a Vaporeon beside him.
"Pyro." He said pointing to the red haired one with a Flareon beside him.
"And Sparky." He said pointing to the yellow spiky haired one with the a Jolteon beside him.
"No pokemon is ever as strong as their evolved form." Sparky said.
"Then how did my Pikachu beat a Raichu." Ash said.
"I don't believe him." Pyro said.
"Maybe when you and your new friend loose to us tomorrow you'll see why you have to evolve Eevee." Rainer said before he and the other two walked off.
"Don't listen to them." Lucy said.
"Let's just get started." Ash said as Pikachu leapt down and Mikey let his Eevee out.
"Eevee you come out to." Serena said as she let her Eevee out.
"Eevee." Her Eevee said to Mikey's Eevee.
"Has your Eevee had any training? Ash asked.
"I have been training him." Mikey said.
"Good, that means we gan just practice battling." Ash said.
"The closest thing we have to an evolved Eevee is my Eevee. Why don't you battle him." Serena said.
"Eevee." Serena's Eevee said.
"Pika." Pikachu said as he turned to Ash.
"Serena , according to Pikachu Eevee said he's ready to evolve." Ash said.
Serena turned to her Eevee.
"Really, are you sure. Because once you evolve, there's no going back. I don't want you to think you have to evolve for me." Serena said.
"Eevee!" Eevee said.
"Pika."
"Eevee said he knows he's ready and wants to evolve." Ash said.
Serena knelt down and rubbed his head.
"Alright if that's what you want. Mikey , do you mind if I use one of the stones?" Serena asked.
"I'm certainly not planning on using them." Mikey said.
Serena opened the box and showed Eevee the stones.
"Alright you have 3 choices, you can be a Jolteon which is an electric type, a Flareon which is a fire type, or a Vaporeon which is a water type." Serena said.
Eevee knew he had to pick carefully. He already knew he had no interest being a Jolteon. Being a Flareon was always an option as that was what his mother was. But in the end he realized he had to follow his own path. He knew one thing above all, he loved the water, he loved it so much. The choice became obvious.
"Eevee." he said pointing his head to the Water stone.
"So you want to be a Vaporeon." Serena said.
"Eevee." He said nodding.
"Alright, here we go." Serena said as she took out the water stone and touched it to Eevee. Moments later he began to glow blue.
Moments later he stopped glowing and revealed his new form.
He now had three small toes on each foot and dark blue paw pads on the hind feet. His body is light blue with dark blue ridge around his head and a ridge down his back. He had a split tailfin. He had a white ruff around his neck, and three fins around his head made of cream-colored webbing.
"Vap." He said.
"Eevee, you evolved and you look amazing!" Serena almost shouted as her face turned slightly red. She took out her pokedex.
"Vaporeon, the Bubble Jet Pokémon, and an evolved form of Eevee. The composition of its cells is similar to molecules of water, and as such, can melt in water."
Vaporeon looked at his new body and smiled.
"Vap!" He said shouted sounding very excited.
"Well we could end up facing Rainer tomorrow so let's give it a try." Mikey said.
"Eevee!" His Eevee shouted.
Vaporeon was also excited to get to battle in his new form with moves that wouldn't be so plain.
"Eevee use Sand attack." Mikey said.
"Vaporeon use Water gun into Quick attack." Serena said.
As Eevee splashed some sand at Vaporeon he opened his mouth and unleashed a jet of water that absorbed the sand and hit Eevee, hurling him back.
Vaporeon quickly moved in with Quick attack, but Eevee got back up.
"Quick attack!" Mikey shouted. His Eevee sprinted forward and hit Vaporeon from underneath. Vaporeon still landed on his feet as Eevee landed behind him.
"Eevee use Tackle."
"Vaporeon use Tackle." Serena said. The two ran at each other with Eevee reaching Vaporeon first, however, Vaporeon was able to overpower Eevee and knock him back.
Eevee landed on the ground but got up.
"Alright I think I've seen something that could really help." Ash said.
"What?" Mikey asked.
"Eevee has a definite speed advantage seeing as he's smaller. However, Vaporeon can clearly overpower Eevee." Ash said.
"So when we battle tomorrow we'll need to use speed to our advantage." Mikey said.
"Nice eye Ash, alright let's keep going." Serena said.
The two continued to spar for the rest of the night before the group returned to their hotel. The next morning Ash and the others met Mikey in the Knights hidden enclave.
The members gathered around as Ash and Mikey stood beside each other with Pikachu and Eevee in front of them.
Standing across from them were Rainer and Pyro were standing with their pokemon. The man in knight armor stood at the side.
"This battle will determine if Mikey may enter the Knights of the E stone. Begin!" The man in the armor said.
"Get ready to face the furry of our evolved pokemon!" Rainer said as his Vaporeon and Pyro's Flareon stepped forward.
"Pikachu Thunder!" Ash shouted.
"Pika , chu!" Pikachu shouted as he unleashed a massive bolt of electricity that hit and filled both Eeveelutions with electricity. Several moments later they were on the ground unconscious with swirly eyes.
"It's over, already?" Pyro said as he and his brother sweat dropped.
"We won!" Mikey said sounding excited.
"They won!" Serena shouted as the other members gave just as surprised looks.
"Wait!" The man in armor shouted.
"It was Pikachu who won the battle, Eevee did nothing!" He shouted.
"Oh, right." Ash said as he and Pikachu sweat dropped.
"We won't admit Mikey in these conditions." He said.
"Well Jolteon can still battle. He could face Eevee by himself." Sparky said as he stepped up.
"Alright, we can do this." Mikey said.
He and his older brother stepped onto the battlefield .
"Let's start out with a Thundershock." Sparky said.
His Jolteon unleashed a small burst of electricity at Eevee.
Mikey had to remember the style of battling Ash introduced to him last night.
"Dodge and then use Sand attack." Mikey said. His Eevee used his superior speed to avoid the incoming electrify then splashed some sand into Jolteon's eyes.
"Quick attack!" Mikey shouted.
"Jolteon he's coming right at you. Use Thundershock." Sparky shouted.
Jolteon tried to wipe the sand out of his eyes , but was too late. Eevee hit him on the side with Quick attack.
"Gotcha." Mikey said.
"Lucky move. Jolteon use Double kick!" . Sparky shouted.
"Eevee use Tail whip and go under him." Mikey said. As Jolteon came at him with his feet out before Eevee ducked down under Jolteon and knocked his legs aside with tail whip. Jolteon landed on the other side of him.
"Now use Tackle!" Mikey shouted.
Eevee slammed into the now weakened Jolteon's side and pushed him back.
"Come on Sparky he's beating you!" Pyro shouted.
"No, Jolteon use Thunder fang!" Sparky shouted before his Jolteon came forward and bit down on Eevee's body hard as he unleashed electricity into it.
"Eevee!" Eevee cried out in pain.
"Eevee hold on!" Ash shouted.
"Pika!".
Eevee was able to pull himself away from Jolteon and moved away.
"Perfect now to finish him. Jolteon use Pin missile!" Sparky shouted. His Jolteon leapt up and over Eevee as he prepared to use the attack.
"Alright, time to use a move he didn't know Eevee had learned. Eevee use Mimic!" Mikey shouted.
"What?" Sparky said as the other two brothers looked just as surprised.
Eevee mimicked Jolteon's move and made a series of spikes. The two pokemon unleashed them before Eevee curled up. Lucky for Eevee , his smaller size allowed him to curl up and avoid each pin missile. Jolteon, however, was much larger and took every pin before slamming into the ground.
"Jolt." He grunted before fainting.
"I, don't believe it. Eevee actually won?" The man in armor said in confusion.
"He did it." Sparky said.
"We won!" Mikey said as Eevee jumped into his arms.
"Yes, they did it!" Ash shouted.
"Pika!".
"Well done." Serena said.
Several minutes later the group was watching as the man in armor placed a ring on Mikey's finger and a cloak over him.
"Mikey, we had a deal and you have proven involved pokemon aren't worthless when trained right. We hereby induct you into the knights of the E stone." The man in armor said as Mikey's brothers and other members began clapping.
Mikey smiled as he and Eevee walked over to the group.
"Thank you guys, for everything." He said.
"It was our pleasure." Ash said.
Later that night Ash and Serena were in bed together. Pikachu was already fast asleep and Serena was resting her head on Ash's chest.
"So now that Eevee is a Vaporeon , is he going to be in a showcase soon?" Ash asked.
"Not this next one, he needs more time to train as a Vaporeon." Serena said.
"That's a smart choice." Ash said.
"After Misdreavus, I'm not making that mistake again." Serena said.
"Well, I'm glad Eevee found his right evolution." Ash said.
"Me too. Good night." Serena said before kissing him.
A few minutes later when Serena was asleep Ash reached over and picked up Altair's time flower.
"Alright let's see more of Altair's life." Ash said as he connected to it. His vision turned white before he felt Altair's aura interacting with his own.
When he opened his eyes again he saw he was back in the jungle. Altair looked much older, about 18. He wore the same robes he had last time with another young Arceon wearing the same robes. This Arceon had short black hair with black eyes and a light goatee.
They stood outside what looked like a thriving village, with a small stone castle above it.
"Altair you're going out into the wild again?" The other Arceon asked.
"There is more food out there Malik, the more I bring, the less hungry our people are." Altair said.
"But the pokemon, and the Tull raiders. You put yourself in too much danger to often, I'm concerned for you my friend." Malik said.
"I appreciate your concern Malik, but it is not needed. I can take care of myself." Altair said before he turned.
"Altair!" Malik said as he grabbed his friend's shoulder.
"I've been avoiding this, but it's time to be direct. You're doing something out there aren't you. Something you shouldn't." Malik said.
Altair didn't respond.
"I can feel it in your aura my friend. I know you're up to something. Please listen to me, I don't want you to do something you'll regret. Just tell me what it is?" Malik said.
"I must go Malik." Altair said before he went off into he jungle.
"I must find out what he is doing." Malik said.
Altair used his aura vision to see if anything was ahead of him as he leapt from tree to tree. After 15 minutes he found the aura he was looking for and performed a leap of faith into a pile of vines and leaves.
He came out to find none other than a Riolu standing in front of him.
"It's his Riolu!" Ash said.
"Ah there you are my friend." Altair said before he and Riolu hugged.
"Gra." Riolu said.
"I know I'm late. I apologize, a friend from the village kept me longer than I wanted. I do feel bad for deceiving Malik. He is my oldest friend, since we were mere boys. I wish I could tell him about you. I wish I could tell all my people about you. Oh how things would change for the better." Altair said.
"Gra." Riolu growled nodding.
"I also have this." Altair said taking out a red time flower.
"It is what our people use to record our memories through our aura. Now we can use it to always remember these times." Altair said.
"Gra!" Riolu growled smiling.
"So shall you instruct me more on the art of combat, or shall I teach you more about aura?" Altair asked.
"Altair!" The two heard.
"What?" Altair said as he began to sweat. He knew who's voice that was. Malik leapt from the trees performing a leap of faith the same way Altair did before confronting them.
"What in the name of the creator are you doing!? He's a pokemon, a wild killing machine!" Malik shouted.
"No Malik, please let me explain!" Altair said as he got between Malik and Riolu.
"Explain what, that you've been running off the what play with this creature. How has he not killed you yet?" Malik asked.
"Riolu is my friend. 4 years ago I saved his life and he saved mine. Since then we've met in secret, he's taught me the ways of martial arts. Ways our kind has lost too much of. I return have taught him much about aura." Altair said.
"How can you be friends with a pokemon. These monsters slaughter our kind by the dozens every year." Malik said.
"They are not monsters! They are merely miss-understood. For as many of us they kill , our kind kills 100 more. They have as much to fear from us as we do them. But it is not only Riolu who has taught me this. I have seen other pokemon acting not as monsters either Malik. Riolu has showed me their true nature. They're kind, intelligent, loving, and beautiful creatures. We do not need to fear them, now enslave them like the Tull do. These creatures can live beside us as our partners and equals. We can accomplish more together than we ever could apart." Altair said.
"Gra." Riolu said nodding.
Malik backed up.
"I'm going to tell the village of this, they will kill that monster." Malik said.
"Malik no!" Altair shouted.
"This is for your own good my friend." Malik said before he ran off.
"No!" Altair shouted.
Malik continued running as fast as he could before something was thrown at him and ensnared his feet. He stumbled onto the ground before he looked up and saw in terror 5 Rapidash with 5 figures on them.
These creatures were clearly Arceon's , however were slightly smaller than Altair or Malik. They also had no spikes on them.
They had more yellowish skin with more squinted eyes and frown like mustaches. They also wore leather armor and metal helmets with a horse tail like fur on the helmet tops. They also carried long curved swords.
The Rapidash's themselves looked like they had been tortured and sleep deprived.
Malik was surrounded by the men and Rapidash as he tried to free himself. Malik knew who these men were, they were soldiers of the Tull empire.
"Who is this?" One asked.
"It looks like one with spikes, one who can use magic." Another said.
"Yes magic, Like this!" Malik shouted as he unleashed a pulse of Aura that knocked the men off the flaming horses.
Malik tried to run but his legs were caught in another throwing snare and he fell down.
The Tull soldiers rushed over and stepped on his back.
"Die now!" One shouted as he raised his sword over his head.
Malik felt his eyes tear up as he placed his face in the dirt. Just before the Tull soldier could kill him, he was hurled off Malik by an aura sphere.
The other soldiers turned to see none other than Altair and Riolu sprinting over.
"Altair?" Malik said upon seeing him.
As the soldier got back up and hurled his sword at Altair, he easily blocked the man's arm with his forearm before smashing his foot into the soldier's calf.
As he cringed another 2 soldiers came at him from behind. Altair delivered a powerful kick to one's face before knocking the other's arm aside and grabbing it locking the soldier in an arm bar before hurling him into the the first soldier.
As this happened Riolu unlashed a force palm on another soldier. The last one came from behind only to be hurled back by a pulse of aura that Riolu unleashed.
Since training with Altair he learned how to use aura directly.
As another soldier got up, Altair unleashed a pulse of aura that knocked the sword out of his hands. He quickly grabbed it and decapitated the solider.
As the other two came forward he knocked the second one's sword aside before slashing across his face. He then slammed his elbow into the last man's face , making him stumble backwards before Altair stabbed his blade into the soldier's chest.
As this happened Riolu unleashed 2 force palms that knocked the remaining soldiers back.
After doing so Riolu began to glow and grow bigger.
"What?" Malik said.
"Riolu, what's happing to you?" Altair asked sounding very concerned.
Riolu was now nearly 3 times his size. He had more spikes on his back and his arms. Also 2 blade like claws on top of his palms pointing forward. He now had large fangs and spikes on his legs pointing up.
"Grouu!" The new Lucario roared.
He slammed his new claws into the soldiers' throats before they could react.
Altair walked over to him. Through their aura connection, Altair could feel that his friend had truly changed.
"By the creator, Riolu. You've changed, evolved some how. It was as if your newfound strength and our friendship." Altair started before Lucario wrapped his arms around Altair and hugged him, lifting him off the ground.
"Grouu! He roared as he smiled.
The two then turned to Malik , who was still in disbelief.
Altair extended his hand and helped his friend up.
"Malik , we only wish to talk to you." Altair started before Malik pointed to Lucario.
"He, he, he saved me. Even after I threatened to have him killed. He still risked his life to save my own." Malik said in disbelief.
"I told you, pokemon are not monsters. They can be our friends, partners, even brothers." Altair said.
"Grouu." Lucario growled nodding.
"Maybe , maybe you're right. Maybe pokemon aren't monsters. Maybe we can live together with them. But our people, I doubt they'll be so easily convinced by just the two of us and one pokemon." Malik said.
"Then how about two pokemon." Altair said.
A few minutes later the three concealed themselves in some foliage as they watched a small creature that greatly resembled a Charmander eat some pecha berries from a bush.
The creature had larger teeth, claws, as well as claws on his elbows.
"Are you sure about this Altair?" Malik asked nervously.
"Yes my friend. Just remember, show no fear or he will sense it. If he thinks you're afraid he'll know you'll feel threatened by him. He will then feel threatened by you. Reach out with your aura to his aura. Show him who you really are.
Malik took a deep breath before he walked out. When he heard him, the Charmander turned to Malik and got slightly afraid.
"No please, I don't come to harm you." Malik said as he carefully approached the Charmander. Malik did his best to show no fear as he approached the Charmander with his hand held out. The small fire lizard now gave a confused look at why Malik wasn't attacking or running.
Malik then tried to reach out to the Charmander's aura with his own. Showing him that he wasn't being hostile. Trying to show him his true nature, at least his new true nature.
The Charmander didn't move, he simply kept staring at Malik until he reached him.
"I want to be your friend." Malik said as he knelt down and placed his hand on the Charmander's snout.
Instead of attacking or running, the Charmander slowly blinked then gave a calm noise.
"Char." in an almost friendly manner.
Altair and Lucario smiled upon seeing this.
"Our kind and Pokemon can be partners." Altair said.
Ash awoke from the memory and slowly put the time flower down.
"Amazing, truly amazing." Ash said.

Alright guys Eevee finally evolved
So Serena finally has a water type
Now guys there is something big I need to tell you all, Starting in July, I'm shipping off to Air force Officer training and I won't be back until the end of July. Needless to say there won't be any updates until the end of training.
I want to be clear, the story will continue when I return. I promise you all, I love writing this story and I will continue when I'm done training.
That being said, I may be able to post one more chapter before then. I will also post a notice saying this again the night before I leave.
