Tris pov
"Tris,"I hear as Tobias kisses my neck. I open my eyes and turn to look at him. He smiles and says,"do you know what today is?"
"No,"I say sleepily.
"Well, you're in for a surprise then."He says kissing my neck again.
"What?"
"You'll see."
"Is it a holiday? Is it a special day?"
"Very special." He says.
"Oh just tell me!"I say.
He slowly moves on top of me and starts to kiss me on my chest.
"Nope,"I say putting my hand on his face,"not until you tell me."
"Good thing I have a hand,"he jokes.
I smack him jokingly. He just laughs and gets up. I get up and place my hands on his shoulder and rub my hands back and forth before running them up around his neck. "Tobias,"I say in a sing-song voice.
I run my hands down his chest and then around and under his shirt. Then I reach up and kiss his jaw line.
"I'm not going to tell you,"he says with a light laugh.
"What about now?"I ask as I move my hand into his pants and underwear. He smiles and shakes his head. I slowly drop to my knees and unzip his pants. Then I press a kiss to the bulge in his underwear.
"What about now?"
"Mrs Eaton, are you trying to seduce me?"he asks with fake shock.
"The real question is, is it going to work?"I ask as I lower his boxers.
"Nope. You just have to wait until tonight."
"Ugh!"I groan as I get up off my knees and smack him again. "It's better that you don't know what we're doing tonight." He says.
He puts his pants back on and says,"I'm going to take a shower."
When he comes out of the shower, he tells me that I need to get dressed because we're going somewhere. I dress in a black dress and take his hand.
"So, do we have a big day planned ahead for us, Mr Eaton?"
"Indeed we do,"he says with a smirk.
"Can I please know why?"
"Nope."
He leads me to the pit to a jewelry store.
"I've been wanting to buy you this but I wanted to make sure it fit you just right,"he says. The jewler hands him a black box. He turns and smiles at me. Then he opens the box and holds out a beautiful necklace with black diamonds.
He clasps it and then says,"it fits perfectly. And it looks beautiful."
"Four, you didn't have to do this!"I say,"there's no reason for it."
"There is definitely a reason for this,"he says,"and you'll find out tonight."
After he's done paying his points, he takes me to the cafe that we sat at the other day. He smiles at me as he takes a sip of his coffee.
"So tonight I'm taking you to a party,"he says.
"What's the party for?"I ask.
"It's for you."
"But why?"
"Tris, today is your 17th birthday. And I want it to be special."
My 17th birthday.
Abnegation never celebrated birthdays because it was 'selfish'. I don't really think I ever knew when it was because it was never a special date to remember.
"How do you know?"I ask him.
"I had to do some file work to change your name in the system and it came up."
"Oh, Tobias,"I say quietly and happily.
He leans into kiss me. I wrap my fingers in his hair as I deepen the kiss. "I love you,"I say.
"I love you too."
After the cafe he takes my hand and leads me to that secret door that leads to the other side of the chasm. He leads me to a rock and sits down on it. I sit down next to him and lean on him.
"Tris,what do you want for your birthday?"
"Tobias, you don't have to get me anything else, you already got me this beautiful necklace."
"Tris, anything you want, I will get it for you. I'd walk from Abnegation to Amnity for it."
"Well, there is one thing I've been thinking about for the past two weeks."
"Anything,"he says.
"I was thinking about having a baby."
He smiles at me and then stands up. I do to. Then his arms wrap around me as he spins me. "Yes, I'll give you a baby,"he says happily. I giggle at how exited he is. He kisses me again and again and again.
A baby.
His baby.
My baby.
Our baby.
Around seven, Tobias takes me to a room in the compound that I've never seen. When I walk in everyone yells out,"happy birthday!"
I smile at all my friends and thank them. Christina comes and hugs me saying,"happy birthday, Tris!"
I hug her back and thank her.
"She did all the party planning."Tobias says.
"Well, Zeke, Uriah, and Will helped too,"she says.
"Thank you, guys,"I say as I hug her again and then hug Zeke, Uriah, and Will."
"Anytime, Tris,"Zeke says.
"Hey, I'm here for the cake,"he jokes.
Marlene smacks him and says,"if you were what you ate, you'd be a cake, Uri."
After eating a very delicious meal, my friends sing me happy birthday in front of some dauntless have 17 candles placed on it that are lit for me to blow out. I don't know if it's just me, but this is the best cake I've ever had.
Then we gather around for some drinking games and fun. And when we are done, my friends present me with birthday gifts. Receiving gifts was always a very selfish thing to do, so abnegation never gave any to one another. Let alone celebrate a birthday.
After everyone leaves the party, Tobias takes me back home to start the beginning of my birthday present.
