===Yugi pov===
December twenty fifth arrived before we had known it, Yami and I were curled up in our bed. With Danny's passing we mourned for him, the kids understand what had happened but weren't as sad as we were. They didn't know Danny for as long as we had, and their memories of him haven't returned yet. For the past few days Yami had taken time off from work and let Alfie, Caleb, Dark, Cat & Hikira stay with us. Alfie has been quite for the time being, he hasn't said much he only stares at the jewel that was left from Danny. It was a rare jewel indeed, it was the size of a person's palm. The jewel was pear cut, yet was the jewel was amazing. The outside of the jewel was black stone with bites of red spots on it otherwise known as a bloodstone, the closer to the middle the jewel change to a bright opal stone and set in the very heart of the jewel was a bright ruby. It was a amazing jewel just like Danny…
"You ok?" Yami said breaking me from my thoughts
"Huh, oh yeah I'm fine." I said
"Didn't you say we shouldn't keep secrets from each other." He said
"…it's still sad…Danny shouldn't have died." I said
"I know its saddening Yugi but remember what Danny said. He didn't want us to be sad for him, he wanted us to be happy." He said
"I know…I never really thought about any of our lives ending at any moment." I said
Yami kissed my forehead and held my hand tightly.
"That is why we must treasure every moment we have for as long as we live." He said
I nodded my head gently, he smiled softly and kissed my forehead once more. Suddenly we heard little footsteps coming to our room, we looked up when a knock came onto the door.
"Uncly Yugi" a soft voice called
"Come in Ryou." I said
Ryou slowly opened the door, he peeked his head through the door. I smiled gently at him.
"Santie came." He said
"Did he now." I said
"Can we opens presents?" he asked cutely
"Yes but, let's have everyone there ok?" Yami said
The small boy nodded and left, I chuckled softly then sat up in the bed. Yami got up and put a robe on, he looked over to the baby monitor. We heard the soft breathing of the little ones still fast asleep, I looked at Yami and smiled.
"Why don't you head down and I will bring the little ones." I said
"Are you sure?" he asked
"Yes, you have been helping out so much you need a little break." I said
He nodded then headed downstairs, I put on my own robe and went to the nursery. The little ones were sleeping peacefully in their cribs, I couldn't help but smile happily. Carefully I went over to Atemu and picked him up, and then I did the same with Kiley. Alfie has been around the little ones more often, he is saddened that he couldn't have his own yet he is happy when he is around our own. Even raising Hikira for the second time puts a small on his face.
I slowly made my way to the living room where a brightly lit tree stood, Malik and Ryou sat at the tree eager to open the gifts. Dottie sat on Malik's lap also excited to open gifts. I chuckled softly and sat by Yami, he carefully picked up Kiley and held her close. Cat was busy in the kitchen while Dark held Hikira.
"Is everyone here?" I asked
"Almost just waiting for sleepy head Caleb to get up." Cat said
"We made a little bit of breakfast so no one wouldn't be hungry." Dark said
"What did you girls make?" Malik asked
"Doughnuts." Cat said happily
"That's not really breakfast." I said
"It doesn't hurt to have some sweets for breakfast." She said
"Do we have to remind you a couple weeks ago where you decide to eat twelve boxes of pocky." Yami said
"I'm won't eat that much." She hissed softly
We chuckled softly, we turned our heads to see Alfie carrying down a sleepy Caleb. Malik chuckled softly then moved and patted the spot next to him. Alfie placed the boy down, Caleb yawned and rubbed the sleep out of his eyes.
"Happy to see you up sleepy head." Dark said
"Leave me alone, I stayed up last night." He said
"Why did you stay up? Were you trying to catch Santa?" Alfie said
"Yeah, I fell asleep before I even saw him." He said
"He only comes when all the little ones in the house are asleep." Yami chuckled
"Can we open now?" Ryou asked
"Alright, go ahead and pick out a present Ryou." I said
Within moments the kids tore through every wrapped gift that was under the tree. Ryou got several space toys, along with clothing and shoes. Malik and Caleb a few video game systems, along with some video games and clothes.
"This is so great, I always wanted to play these game." Malik said
"Can we play them now?" Caleb asked
"Sure, Yami can you help them out?" I asked
He nodded his head, he carefully handed me Kiley then went over to help the kids. Cat looked at the other gifts that were under the gifts.
"Who are these for?" she asked
"For you guys silly, Alfie." I called
He looked up at me, I pointed to a small gift that was in the tree. He got up then held the gift curiously, slowly he began to unwrap the gift. It was a velvet jewelry box, he opened his box and his eyes widen.
"This…" he said
He pulled out a long golden chain on the chain was a piece of glass cut into a circle with a pear cut slot. I smiled gently at the vampire.
"Me and Yami thought it would be nice for you to have something to protect Danny's heart." I said
"This is very thoughtful Yugi…thank you very much." He said
"You're welcome." I said happily
"I've been thinking..." He said
"About what?" Cat said as she gave him a doughnut
"…I'm going to move back to London." He said
We all stared at him shocked, he looked at the jewel in his hand and gently rubbed the center with his them. We stayed silent for a moment then Dark broke the silence.
"Are you sure about this? Is it really what you want?" Dark asked
"Danny also loved London, it's the place it was most happy. I would like to go back there and live the life he always wanted." He said
"Alfie do you want to live the life Danny would have wanted for you?" Yami asked
"…yes." He answered
"Are you sure or are you trying to live in the past." Yami said
"I'm not trying to live in the past, I only want to…" he said
"Want to what?" Yami asked
"I don't know but, I feel like I should move to London for a bit." He said
"If that's what you want then we won't stop you, we just only want to make sure that is what you want." I said
"Thanks guys, I just only want to be there for a couple years. Maybe build a house as great as yours." He chuckled
We chuckled softly, the girls began to open their gifts. Their face lit up as they saw their gifts. My eyes soften, our family was growing more and more. Sure we may go on our own ways but its days like these that bring us together, it makes us a family. A soft smile appeared on my face, these moments will always be treasured.

Cat: done before the year ended ^^; although I missed Christmas by a week.
Yami: let me guess work again?
Cat: yup, plus my brother came back from his military training.
Dark: xDD he came by her work and scared the whole store.
Cat: ^^; I was happy to see my little brother
Hikira: *sighs softly* we hoped everyone had a great Christmas and will have a great New Year 's Eve.
Dark: remember to always treasure the small moments with your family and friends, you'll never know when you won't get anymore .
