MAKA'S POV
"It's a girl." The doctor's words echoed in my ears. All I could think about was the stupid girl name I picked. Soul was in the room he came in after the baby was born and the tests were done.
The doctor handed us paper to write her name on all I could think was: 'I don't have a good name for her."
"I like the name you chose." Soul blurted. "I think it would be a great name."
"I don't know people might bully her."
"Well then I'll kick they're sorry asses." He said bluntly.
"Fine." I feel defeated. How could he like her name?
"Now," The doctor started "I need to know her last name too."
"Evans." I say without hesitation.
"Are you sure?" Soul looks at me unsure.
"I'm sure."
"Alright Evans it is."The doctor agrees. "I will be back with the birth certificate. Wait! I almost forgot! What about her middle name?"
"Rose?" Soul asked me.
"Yeah. That will suit her name."
"Alright I will actually be back with the birth certificate." The doctor says as she walks away.
A few minutes later, she was back with a certificate that states:
PROUD PARENTS- MAKA ALBARN AND SOUL EVANS
DATE OF BIRTH: DECEMBER 22 11:49 PM
NAME: FREYA ROSE EVANS
As I read the last section my heart lit up. Freya was a beautiful name. It was her.
A few weeks later on January 1, Tsubaki had her baby. He was a handsome boy with black hair. I still wish we knew our children's eye color, but that's not how it works. Tsubaki named her little boy, Hidaki. Hidaki was a plump baby unlike Freya. Freya was a thin yet long little girl.
A few months later, Tsubaki had to move away for a job and Blackstar left with her. And Freya was here by herself the only baby with us.
