So I bought insurgent and now I'm extremely happy.

Tris pov

"You need to come to the hospital, now,"he says.

"Okay,"Tobias says taking my hand as we run to the hospital with Zeke. It's late so most people aren't out so no one is in our way. I'm panting when we get there. I don't know if I'm just out of shape or if it's the pregnancy weighing on me.

Zeke leads us to the room that they are in. Two of them lay in all in one room. It's Shauna and Josh, but I don't see Daniel.

"Where's Daniel?"I ask.

"I'm sorry, Tris, and Four, but he died."

"Oh my god!"I gasp. Not Daniel. He did really good in initiation. He was very aggressive but that helped him. And now he's dead...

Tobias pulls me into his arms as my emotions take over. Damn hormones. He holds me as I cry. How can someone who I taught myself be dead? Zeke sits by Shauna and holds her hand. He looks sadly upon her, for she is still knocked out.

"How?"I finally ask.

"He landed on his gun and the force of the metal to his head killed him instantly."

"That's terrible." Tobias says.

"At least it wasn't Shauna..."Zeke says quietly.

As sad as it is, I agree with him. Who knows what would happen to Zeke if Shauna died? He would lose it. I guess the same with any of us if our loved one died. If Tobias died, I wouldn't know what to do. How would I raise our child?

"How is Shauna?"I ask.

"She has a concussion from falling and hitting her head, luckily she wasn't close to a step or something, or else she would have been like Daniel. And her and Josh landed on their backs."

"Have they found anything to help them?"

"Not yet, this serum, it's like it's in their pores,"Marlene says walking in the room with a clipboard,"I'm here to check her vitals."

"What are you talking about?"I ask.

"We're finding traces of it everywhere. It's in her pores, her hair, her blood, her saliva, and even in her waste. It's like its consuming her body in every way it can. Same with Josh. And it hasn't left Daniel, so it doesn't matter if you're alive or dead. Hopefully we can learn more from it with Daniel because well, we don't have to worry about it killing him."

"Wait, how dangerous is this?" Zeke panics.

"It is cause her vitals to lower, but it's not too dangerous. As far as we know, that is."

Zeke starts to freak out but Marlene cuts him off saying,"if you don't calm down now, Zeke, I'm going to make you calm down and you won't like it."

"Fine,"he says grumpily.

She checks Josh, and says,"they're the same as earlier. Oh, and Four, I have the contact information for Daniel's family. You have to inform them because you're a faction leader."

"Okay."

As we walk home, he says,"that's going to be a hard meeting."

"I'll be with you,"I tell him.

"I know, but it will be hard either way."

The next morning, we make our way to Amnity where Daniel was from. A small farm house with a sign that says "Niles"on it is the house we go to.

Tobias knocks on the door and waits for someone to answer. A lady with hair just as red as his and tired blue eyes, answers the door. "How may I help the two of you?"

"Ma'am, can we speak with you for a moment?"

"Of course, come in,"she says and leads us to a table.

"Are you Mrs Niles?" Tobias asks her.

"Yes, well, it was. I went back to my maiden name earlier this year."

"We're here to talk to you about your son."

"Which one? I have 7. Speaking of kids, I couldn't help but notice that you are expecting, how many months are you dear?"

"I'm 3 months, how'd you know?" The shirt I'm wearing is a little form fitting, but if you didn't know you would think that I'm just getting a little fat.

"I've had 10 myself, I can easily tell."

"So back to your son, Daniel."

"Oh, Daniel! He went to dauntless, which makes sense since he had a lot of anger issues. Did he do something wrong?"

"I'm sorry to inform you ma'am, but Daniel was pronounced dead late last night."

Shock crosses her face and she stiffles a cry."How can this be?"

"He got knocked out by an unknown source and hit his head on his gun. The force caused him to die instantly. I'm sorry."

She cries and cries and I actually start to cry myself because my hormones can't stand seeing someone cry anymore. I guess I'm not as professional as Four. After a while she looks up and says,"May you never lose a child, it truly is the worst pain in the world...When can I get his body?"

"He is undergoing an autopsy, so I'm sorry it might be a while. He is crucial evidence that will help us figure out who caused this."

"Okay," she says,"Please just make sure I get his body back here. I would like to have a proper funeral."

"Of course,"I say.

As we leave, she says,"may happiness be with you."

"Thank you, and we really are sorry about your son. We trained him ourselves and he was very promising."

She gives me a sad smile and wishes us luck on our child. As we walk to the car, Tobias says,"I couldn't imagine losing our child. That made this even harder to do. I think if weren't going to be parents, then it would have been easier. I hope we never have to do anything like that again. Or go through that ourselves."

I place my hand over my stomach and say,"me too."
