Ch 44: Porygon the electric solder
Altair was scaling the side of a large keep built into the side of a large rock formation.
Scaling the wall beside him was none other than his Lucario.
"We're almost there." Altair said as they neared the top of the tower. When they reached the edge of the tower's turret, Altair used his aura vision to see what was in the turret.
A pair of templar soldiers and a Drowzee were on guard.
Altair waited until the first guard was directly above him, then reached up and jabbed him with hie left hidden blade while also grabbing him and throwing him over the edge.
Altair then pulled himself up to the turret edge as the second templar guard turned to him. Altair leapt over and tackled the templar into the ground as he slammed his right hidden blade into his chest.
At the same time Lucario slammed his right paw into the Drowzee's face with Power up punch, hurling him back and into the side of the edge, knocking him out.
The two walked over to the edge of the turret and saw the keep courtyard filled with templar soldiers and psychic pokemon.
The two used their aura vision to search the keep in it's entirety.
In the courtyard was a moving aura of the color gold.
Altair and Lucario performed a leap of faith into a pile of hay on one of the always above the courtyard.
A Templar knight was walking by the hey when he felt something with his psychic abilities.
He turned to the hey only to have Altair come out and jab him with his left hidden blade then pull him into the hey.
After doing so he sprinted across the walkway as two templar soldiers walked away from him. One turned just in time to see Altair's hidden blade enter his throat.
Not a moment later Altair jabbed his other hidden blade into the back of the other templar's neck.
Lucario dragged the two bodies into the pile of hey before crouching under the walkway edges beside Altair as they eavesdropped on the Templar they saw in their aura vision.
This templar wore knights armor and helmet with metal horns on the side. Beside him was an Alakazam wearing a templar tunic.
"Commander Sibrand, you seem restless." The templar knight beside him said.
"Of course I am you fool. I'm being hunted by the Guardian mentor Altair. He's already assassinated 10 of our commanders, 6 of which he did personally. He's like an incarnation of death itself. He killed Miran , Tuyan , and Ikon like the greatest assassin, sneaking into their keeps , silently killing their guards and then them. Then Aeron, Yuak, and Uion , he fights through their entire garrisons head on." The commander said in a panicked tone.
"Sir, we."
"What!? Will keep me safe, like my their men kept them safe! " The commander shouted as he took the pommel of his sword and smashed it into the man's helmet, knocking him to the ground.
He then looked around at his men.
"Well! Will you fools keep me safe! Yet you sit here and do nothing as Altair watches me, planning to kill me! I know you're here! Watching, waiting to strike! I will not be taken so easily!" Sibrand shouted franticly.
Altair could feel the fear in Sibrand's aura, he almost regretted having to do what it, but he knew what Sibrand was doing and knew he had to be stopped.
He and Lucario looked up at something in the sky before moving again.
Altair and Lucario made their way across the walkway and began scaling another tower wall. This time stopping at a window where a templar knight was staring out of.
Just like the soldier at the turret, Altair brought his hand up and stabbed his hidden blade into the knight's chest before pulling him out of the window.
He then climbed up and into the window before leaping into the room and slamming his hidden blades into another templar knight.
Lucario followed in using Metal claw on a Kadabra , knocking him out.
Altair and Lucario carefully moved down the stairs until he reached a large dungeon.
Sitting inside the dungeons were several small children and pokemon with bruises, cut marks, and welts on their bodies.
A little girl in one cell came to the edge where a guard was standing.
" Please sir, we're so thirsty." She said. The templar turned and unlocked the door before slapping his hand across her face, knocking her onto the ground.
As the other kids and pokemon in the cell tried to drag her back a hurt Squirtle got up and between the girl and the templar soldier as he drew his sword.
"Stand aside." He said before the children saw Altair step up behind him and jab his hidden blade into the man's side through his chainmail.
The templar soldier dropped his sword and fell to the ground revealing Altair and Lucario in front of them.
The children and pokemon looked scared.
"Who, who are you?" The little girl asked.
"I am Altair, leader of the aura guardians. I'm here to get you to safety." Altair said. After Altair and Lucario freed the other children he lead them to another room where they saw a pair of knocked out Alakazam and dead templar knights with another aura guardian standing in front of a massive tunnel with a Mega Steelix sitting in it.
"Mentor, we have created a clear path out of here." The guardian said.
"Get these children and their pokemon to safety, get them home."
"Yes Mentor." The guardian said before he and his Steelix lead the children and pokemon out through the tunnel.
"Come Lucario, there is one more task to take care of. " Altair said.
"Grouu." Lucario growled nodding.
Back in the courtyard the templar commander was franticly pacing back and forth.
"Why aren't you imbeciles doing anything! Altair is here somewhere, he is coming for me!" He shouted.
"Sir , Altair is." A knight started before Sibrand looked up and nearly fell backwards.
"No! No!" He shouted as his men looked up on the wall and saw Altair standing there with Lucario.
"No! Keep him away from me!" Sibrand shouted as he tried to run.
Moments later they heard 3 massive roars. Sibrand looked up in horror to see 3 massive dragons flying at him.
A mega Dragonite , a mega Druddigon, both beside a Mega Charizard X with an aura guardian in the center.
The aura guardian's robes were brown and red rather than white like Altair's and he commanded all 3 dragons.
"No!" Sibrand shouted.
Altair leapt down and unleashed a wave of aura as he slammed his fist into the dirt. He and Lucario then made their way through the templars and their pokemon as the guardian on the Charizard leapt down and did the same as his dragons swarmed the templar forces.
Sibrand tried to run out but, the Mega Charizard X blocked his path.
He stumbled backwards before he saw the brown robed aura guardian standing over him.
"No! You can't!" He started before the guardian slammed his left hidden blade into Sibrand's neck.
"You kidnap the children and pokemon of village leaders who won't obey you. You torture them and threaten to kill them. This is justice." The guardian said.
Moments later Altair and Lucario stepped over as the guardian removed his hood revealing somewhat long platinum white hair and eyes.
"Unpleasant work, but necessary Mentor." The guardian said.
"True, even if we took him prisoner he would have found a way to continue his dark deeds, even fear of death didn't stop him. It is unpleasant, but necessary." Altair said.
"Perhaps one day we can make a world where we don't have to kill anymore. Perhaps someday the world will be stable and peaceful enough were we don't have to end lives, but just protect them."
"Perhaps one day Aegon, but not today." Altair said.
Ash returned from the memory and saw the tent again.
"That's another memory of him getting another templar. This is leading up to something big, I know it." Ash said.
Elsewhere in a large city , inside a large building in the center, inside colossal room filled with large wires and computer systems, had a large central platform in the center filled with computers with several men in lab coats working on the terminals.
Each piece of machinery was connected by wires to a large circular containment device in the center. Floating inside this device was a large pokemon. The pokemon had a pink polyhedral body with a blue stomach, blue triangular prism feet, and a blue rectangular prism tail. It had a pink, polyhedral head that ends in a blue beak and had hexagonal eyes.
Attached to his head were several wires with suction decided put on the surface of the pokemon's head.
Standing beside the pokemon was a pale man with a lab coat and a yellow collard polo underneath. He had blueish green hair and swirly glasses.
"How are the city's system's doing?" The man asked.
"Good Dr. Akihabara. Diagnostics shows everything's fine." one of the men said.
The Dr. patted the pokemon on the head.
"Outstanding work Porygon, you." He started before they felt the building shake.
"What was that?" He asked before an alert was sounded and a flashing red light came across the screens.
"What's happening?" He asked.
"Dr. it's a security alert, there were explosions detected in area 4 and." One of the men said before the glass computer screen in front of the large computer shattered.
The central platform lifts arrived with several rocket grunts and 3 rocket sentinels on them.
The men in the lab coats backed up as the rocket men and their pokemon approached.
"What's going on here?" Dr. Akihabara asked.
Another man stepped forward wearing a large metal exoskeleton suit and had 2 Ampharos beside him.
"Team rocket is claiming Matra city , just like we claimed Saffron city. One by one the cities of Kanto will become ours until all of Kanto belongs to us." Electric earl said as his Ampharos unleashed Thunderbolt on all the scientists.
The men all fainted except Dr. Akihabara who crawled over to Porygon.
Earl walked over to Porygon who now looked very scared. He ripped the wires off his head and had his Ampharos knock him off.
When Porygon was off the pedestal another alert went off.
"No! Without Porygon everything in the city will go down! Hospitals, prisons, banks!" Dr. Akihabara shouted.
"I know, that's why we brought our own." Earl said smiling as his men made way and a revealed another Porygon. This Porygon ,however, was black and red with a large rocket R on the side.
"You! You made your own?!" Dr. Akihabara said in disbelief.
"Yes, it wasn't easy. But I'm good at this stuff." Earl said as his Porygon floated over and got into the pedestal before Earl attached the wires to him.
The alerts stopped and the screens all turned black with a rocket R symbol in the center of the screen.
"Now Matra city belongs to team rocket!" Earl laughed.
Dr. Akihabara looked over at the edge and then picked up a piece of broken metal and hurled it into two grunts, knocking them down.
"Go Porygon, get out of here!" Dr. Akihabara shouted as he was zapped by two grunt's electric batons.
Porygon quickly flew off the platform , but looked back and gave a sad expression as he saw Dr. Akihabara being beaten.
"Thunderbolt." Earl said as his Ampharos both unleashed a bolt of electricity at Porygon as he flew away.
Once he was out of the massive room, he was moving through one of the building's hallways as he saw several of the employees getting attacked by rocket grunts and pokemon.
That was when he was hit in his back by a double kick and hurled to the ground.
"Pory!" porygon shouted in pain as he was hit by the fighting type move.
He looked up to see 3 grunts with 3 Nidorino surrounding him.
"What do we have here, a Porygon, that's quite a rare pokemon. I'm pretty sure Earl would want us to get him." One of the grunts said before he was caught in a chokehold from behind.
The other two grunts turned just in time to see a pair of fists smashing into their throats, knocking them out.
At the same time a Mega Absol sprinted forward and slammed into one of the Nidorino with quick attack, before slashing the other two with Night Slash, knocking all 3 out.
Porygon nervously looked up and saw the human was wearing a padded white and grey jacket robe with a hood.
He knelt down in front of Porygon and placed his hand on him as it glowed blue and Porygon felt his pain fade.
"It's alright Porygon, come with me." The man said.
The following morning Ash was up with the others having breakfast. It had been 3 days since Ivysaur evolved and the group had made a lot of distance across the route.
"So I've been looking at the map and we're getting close to Matra city. We should be there by 2:00" Brock said.
"Matra city?" Serena asked.
"Some people call it the city of the future. " Lucy said.
"City of the future?" Serena asked.
"I hear that almost everything in the city is run on a central computer network." Ash said.
"A central computer network?" Serena asked.
"Yeah I heard it was designed by a Dr. Akihabara. One of the top computer programers in the world. Apparently all of the cities computers, electricity, and ordinary functions are run by the computer network he made. Making the city the most efficient in all of Kanto." Brock said.
"Clemont would certainly love it there." Serena said.
"He would." Ash said.
"Pika."
After finishing their breakfast the group packed up their stuff and continued on the path towards Matra city.
As they made their way closer they came to a road with several cars , people and their pokemon moving away from the city.
"Huh, I wonder where all these people are going?" Serena asked before they came up to a checkpoint with over a dozen large men in military battle uniforms. They could tell they weren't army as their camo patterns were woodland dark green, brown, and black. There was also a black symbol of the earth with an anchor going through it on their caps.
there was also a pair of patches on the blouses, one that said a last name and the other that said Kanto Marines.
Each of the marine carried an M4 assault rifle and wore a kevlar check body armor over their chests.
Also at the check point were 3 large Blastoises wearing armor plats on their bodies.
"What's the military doing here?" Lucy asked.
"It can't be good." Ash said.
One of the marines walked over when he saw the group. The marine had 2 pins on his blouse collar , the pins were of 3 black arrow like stripes.
"Sorry but Matra city is under lockdown." He said.
"Lockdown? What's going on?" Ash asked.
"Sorry but I'm not at liberty to say." The marine started before he noticed Brock and raised an eyebrow.
"Hey kid you look very familiar. Have we met before?" He asked.
"No, but maybe you met my dad. Flint." Brock said.
The marine's eyes widened.
"As in Flint Harrison of Pewter city?" The marine asked.
"Yeah." Brock said.
"Captain Harrison! Yes! I knew your father back when I was a private he was my first company commander and by far the best I've ever served under. You must be his oldest son he talked about." The marine said.
"Oh well, I" Brock started.
"Oh I'm sorry, my name is Sergeant Kyle. "
"Sergeant Kyle, I think my father may have mentioned you." Brock said.
"Captain Harrison remembered me. Well, I guess it wouldn't hurt if I told you kids. I'm afraid the city has fallen under the control of team rocket."
"What!?" The group said.
"I'm afraid so, their commander some how took control of the central computer network and controls everything in the city. Hospitals, pokemon centers, trams. People are stuck in train cars, elevators, and inside buildings. Rocket has thousands of hostages and we're trying to keep the city cut off" Sgt Kyle said.
"I guess We'll have to go around." Lucy said.
They began walking back from where they came with sad expressions.
"This is getting crazy, first Saffron city and now Matra city." Ash said.
"If team rocket isn't stopped they could take over all of Kanto." Lucy said.
That was when Pikachu felt something strange. His cheeks began to spark.
"Pika." He said with an interested look as he stared off to the side of the path.
"Pikachu, do you see something?" Ash asked.
"Pika." Pikachu said as he leapt off Ash's shoulders and ran to the side.
"Pikachu where are you going?" Ash asked as he and the others followed him off the path.
Pikachu peered his his head through the bush to see a large polyhedral shaped pokemon floating over a large battery.
"Pika?" Pikachu said as Ash and the others walked over to him and saw the pokemon too.
"Woah what pokemon is that?" Serena said opening her pokedex.
"Porygon the virtual pokemon. A Pokémon that consists entirely of programming code. Capable of moving freely in cyberspace."
"A cyber pokemon?" Serena asked.
"I've never heard of Porygon before." Ash said.
"What's it doing?" Brock asked as the pokemon nuzzled it's face against the battery and electricity spared across it's face.
"It almost looks like he's feeding off the electricity." Brock said.
The Porygon turned to the group before giving a frightened expression.
"It's alright, we're not going to hurt." Brock started as he motioned towards Porygon.
Moments later A large Absol sprinted forward and got between Brock Porygon.
"Woah." Brock said as he backed up.
Ash looked at the Absol and saw he had a headband on with a piece of Absolite in it.
"Hey wait." Ash said before a man wearing a padded white and grey jacket robe with a hood leapt down from a tree branch and stood beside his Absol.
"I'm afraid I'll have to ask you to step away from Porygon." The man said.
"It's ok, we're friends." Ash said as he showed his hidden blade bracers.
The man lowered his hood revealing his face. The man had slightly tanned skin with brown eyes and ordinary sized hair.
Unlike many of the other aura guardians they had seen, this guardian seemed a bit smaller in physical size. He was shorter than Ash and looked like he weighed less.
Ash wasn't huge , but this man looked like he was almost skinny.
"You're a guardian?" He asked.
"I am too. " Lucy said.
"My name is Ash. This is my partner Pikachu."
"I'm Lucy."
"I'm Brock."
"I'm Serena."
"My name is Karver. I am the guardian of Matra city. "
"Guardian of the city? What about the guild?" Lucy asked.
"There is no guild. After the city rid itself of any natural life beyond pets, many guardians didn't want to stay there."
"Not you though." Ash said.
" I see technology as the future, if we choose to ignore it then we won't go anywhere."
"How did team rocket take over the city's network?" Serena asked.
"The main building, an officer named Electric Earl took a force that captured the building. He forced Porygon out."
"Forced him out? What is a Porygon anyway?" Ash asked.
"Porygon is an artificial life pokemon. Created by human programmers. Porygon are capable of generating computer language code directly with their mind."
"What does that mean?" Brock asked.
"Porygon can instantly generate code by telling a system to do something like move energy or turn this system on at this time. Writing code for so many systems is difficult. Porygon is a master of managing systems and programs. He ran most of the city." Karver said as he rubbed Porygon's head.
"But how are they controlling the city without him?" Brock asked.
"I don't know how , but Porygon said he saw team rocket bring in a Porygon made by them. He's controlling the city now and obeying Earl's orders."
"We can't let them hold the city hostage." Ash said.
"Well now that I have some help perhaps we can stop them." Karver said.
"What do we need to do?" Lucy asked.
"We need to get Porygon back to the central control. If we can disconnect the rocket Porygon and reconnect Porygon the city will be free of rocket control."
"Then that's what we're going to do." Ash said.
"Pika!".
"Well how are we going to get past the Marine's cordon, I mean Serena and I aren't masters of stealth like you guys." Brock said.
"I know every way in and out of the city. The marines don't know some of these passages."
Several minutes later the group was walking through a old underground service tunnel.
"How close will this get us to the building?" Brock asked.
"Not close enough. We'll have to move across a few streets. The problem is there are security cameras everywhere and as soon as they see us , they can turn anything in the city against us. Not to mention the streets will be crawling with grunts. It may be safer to move by parkour." Karver said.
"What about Serena and Brock?" Ash asked.
"Plus Porygon?" Brock asked.
"The answer is there. You two will ride Porygon." Karver said.
"Porygon can fly?" Serena asked.
"The city is filled with electricity, Porygon can feed off it and it will allow him to fly. He should be able to carry the both of you." Karver said.
"We'll need to keep them safe, if Porygon get's knocked out in the air, all of you could get hurt." Ash said.
Finally they reached the end of the tunnel and a hatch was above them.
"Get ready." Karver said.
He opened the hatch and climbed out with the others close behind.
The sky was starting to get dark and the group saw the city lit up. The city looked like a futuristic city. The buildings designs were much more complex. The streets were also much bigger with moving sidewalks and streetlights.
The streets were deserted, not a single person or pokemon.
"This is creepy." Serena said.
"Let's make this quick, the less time we're on the streets the better." Karver said as Serena and Brock got onto Porygon's back.
Ash let out his Charizard.
"Protect Porygon Charizard." Ash said.
Serena let out Charla as well.
"Two Charizards are better than one." Serena said.
"Let's get moving." Karver said as he scaled up the side of a building before leaping off the building side onto a street lamp and then onto another.
Ash and Lucy did the same as Porygon flew behind them with both Charizards on his sides.
The group was doing their best to be quite and avoid attracting attention.
That was when a security camera on a building caught a portion of Porygon's body.
Moments later all the city lights began flashing red and an alert went off.
"Uh oh." Serena said.
"That doesn't sound good." Brock said.
"We've been spotted!" Karver shouted.
The group then heard what sounded like a buzzing noise.
"What is that?" Lucy asked before they saw 3 large metal block devices floating towards them. The devices were shaped in perfect cubes with 2 on their sides and one on the top.
On the front of the center cubes were screens with red backgrounds and black line mouth and eyes.
"Criminals detected, arrest." They said in mechanical voices.
"Security bots, they help Officer Jenny. Now Earl's Porygon controls them." Karver said.
The security bots took out electric rods and flew at Porygon.
"Charizard use Dragon pulse!" Ash shouted.
"Grauu!" Charizard roared as he opened his mouth and unleashed a pulse of dragon energy that soared through the air and easily destroyed the 3 bots.
Another 4 bots quickly came up from behind Charizard and tried to zap him.
Serena saw this.
"Charla Fire fist!".
Charla quickly flew over and smashed her flame covered claws into each of the bots. Turning them into scrap.
As the group continued moving above the group several rocket grunts came out of a building and looked up at the group.
Each of them had an electric pulse gun in hand and aimed at the group.
Ash noticed this and widened his eyes.
"Lucy look out !" He shouted.
Lucy saw a blast of blue electricity flying at her and quickly leapt onto a building side and climbed up, narrowly avoiding the electrical blast.
As one flew at Karver , he formed an aura barrier over himself that absorbed the blast.
At the same time Charizard and Charla noticed several more security bots and Zubat flying at them.
Charizard and Charla flew beside each other before Charizard flew forward and around the group of bots while unleashing a massive jet of fire around them, corralling them up and knocking a few Zubat out.
After that Charla flew into the corral of fire and smashed or blasted the bots and Zubat.
As she came out the other side Charizard flew in and did the same to the remaining bots and Zubat.
Meanwhile Lucy leapt off the building side and onto a large holodisplay sign before unleashing a burst of aura that knocked the 5 grunts on the street onto the ground.
Another 5 grunts came out of another building with more electric guns as well as a few Nidorino.
The grunts blasted at the group as the Nidorino unleashed Poison sting.
"Porygon move!" Brock shouted as Porygon moved out of the way.
Ash used aura to deflect the incoming attacks at him before Pikachu leapt onto the top of the light post and unleashed a massive Thunder.
The electricity hit the grunts and Nidorino, knocking them all out.
"We're almost to the city monorail. If we get there we can reprogram it to take us right to the plant." Karver said as he leapt onto a building side.
Eventually they reached the monorail station where they saw a train was still sitting.
"Perfect." Karver said.
"Wait how are we going to work it if rocket's Porygon controls everything?" Lucy asked.
"Porygon and I can reprogram it." Karver said.
As they walked inside they saw another train pull up with a team or rocket grunts with electric batons in hand,
When the door opened they ran out into the terminal before Ash, Lucy, and Karver each unleashed an aura sphere that went off and hurled 6 of them back and through 2 walls of glass.
Another 6 grunts with 4 Nidorino ran out followed by a sentinel with his sword drawn and a Hitmonchan beside him.
The 3 aura guardians let out their hidden blades before Pikachu and Absol ran at the rocket pokemon followed by their trainers.
Ash rammed his shoulder into the first grunt, hurling him back into another glass wall.
The other two grunts tried to smash his sides only to have him catch their batons with his hidden blades, then kick the grunt to his left's calf and make him cringe before grabbing the other grunt's arm and locking him in an arm bar before hurling him into the other grunt and knocked them into another part of the glass wall.
Lucy held two more grunts' batons back as the third grunt came from behind. She saw this and pushed the other two grunts into the glass wall before leapt up and acrobatically smashing her foot into the third grunt's face.
At the same time Pikachu used Iron tail on the first and second Nidorino before blasting the last two with electricity. Absol easily avoided strikes from the Hitmonchan before unleashing night slash across his chest.
Karver tried to strike the Sentinel only to have his hidden blades blocked by the Sentinel's blade.
The Sentinel tried to strike back, but Karver caught the katana with his left hidden blade before slashing across his sword arm with his right blade and then pushed the man back before acrobatically backflipping and kicking the man across the chin.
As Karver came own he slashed his left hidden blade across the man's throat.
The sentinel stumbled backwards before falling off the platform and down to the street below.
As this happened Brock and Serena made their way over to the other train with the two Charizards.
A trio of grunts were inside the train and ran out at the 4 of them with 4 Nidorino beside them.
Charizard and Charla made quick work of the 4 Nidorino as Brock tackled one of the grunt's into another glass wall. Serena ducked as one of the other grunts hurled his baton at her.
She then grabbed his arm and locked him in an arm bar before throwing him into the other grunt, knocking them both into another part of the glass wall.
"Guys the train is safe!" Brock shouted.
"It's ok Porygon, you can come in." Serena said as Porygon slowly floated in.
Ash and the others came into the train too. Karver walked to the front of the train with Porygon beside him and began working not he engine controls.
After a few minutes the train lights lit up.
"There, we reprogrammed the train's controls. Porygon can control it now." Karver said.
"Then we may want to get going." Brock said as he saw 4 vans pull up to the terminal and let over a dozen grunts out.
The train doors began to close and the cars began moving away from the terminal.
The group looked out the windows and saw most of the city below them.
"This should take us right to the main control building. A lot of the workers use this train to get to work and go home." Karver said.
As Pikachu looked out the window he saw several security bots flying at the train.
"Pika!" Pikachu shouted pointing at them.
"We've got company!" Ash shouted.
"Gon!" Porygon shouted in fear.
"Just keep driving the train Porygon , we'll take care of this." Karver said.
"Charizard, you think we could go out there and take care of them?" Ash asked.
"Grauu!" Charizard growled nodding.
"Charla and I can help too." Serena said.
"Grauu." Charla growled as her face turned red and she licked the side of Charizard's face.
"Alright good luck, Porygon open the door." Karver said.
Pikachu leapt off Ash's shoulder and onto the ground as Ash climbed onto Charizard's back and Serena climbed onto Charla's.
Porygon opened one of the side doors and allowed the two Charizard to fly out before shutting it.
As the Security bots flew closer to them Charizard snarled as he quickly flew in and used air slash on 3 of the bots, slicing them each in half.
Charla unleashed flamethrower on another 3, frying their circuits.
"Alright that's all of them." Ash said before Charizard noticed another train driving up on the other rail beside the train the group was on.
"That can't be good." Serena said.
Several of the other train cars opened their doors and as several rocket grunts stood in the openings and fired their electric pulse guns at the groups train.
As the pulses of electricity hit the groups train the electricity began to surge.
"Gon!" Porygon shouted.
"They're going to disable the train!" Karver shouted.
"Pika!" Pikachu shouted sparking his cheeks.
"Porygon open the other door." Lucy said.
Porygon opened the other door as Pikachu went over to it and unleashed Thunder , hitting 3 of the rocket grunts and knocking them out.
Outside the train both Charizard and Charla unleashed flamethrower at the other open doors, forcing them back inside.
That was when Lucy noticed another rocket grunt come out of the front car's door with a rocket launcher.
"Oh " Lucy started before he fired.
Lucy quickly formed an aura barrier over their car that absorbed the explosion.
The grunt loaded another rocket and fired.
This time Lucy unleashed an aura sphere that went off in front of the rocket and forced it off path, back at the rocket train.
"Run!" The grunt shouted as he and the other grunts ran out of the front car.
The rocket round hit the front of the rocket train and exploded, disabling the train and causing it to slow before stopping completely.
"Finally we're safe." Brock said.
"Not for long." Karver said as he saw the central control building ahead of them.
The building was bigger than any other building in the city. It had dozens of large dishes on top of it and what looked like power grids on its sides.
The train pulled up to a platform on the side of the building over a hundred feet from the ground.
When the train stopped 6 rocket grunts and 4 Nidorino were waiting for the group.
As soon as the door opened they saw Pikachu standing there.
"Pika, chu!" Pikachu shouted as he unleashed Thunder on all 10 of them, knocking them out.
The door to the plant opened and let another 4 grunts and 4 Nidorino out before Charizard and Charla slammed into the ground on top of them, knocking them out.
Ash and Serena got off their pokemon as the rest of the group exited the train and Pikachu climbed onto Ash's shoulder.
"You guys enjoy the train ride?" Serena asked.
"Let's just get in there." Karver said.
The group walked into the plant and through its hallways to find them mostly empty.
Occasionally they would come a cross a grunt and easily knock them out, or find a room with tied up plant workers and let them out.
Finally they reached the main control center.
"Here we are" Karver said as he rewired the door controls and opened the doors.
The group saw a colossal room filled with large wires and computer systems. In the center above the rest like an island was a central platform in the center filled with computers and terminals.
"They have the lifts so we'll have to fly over there." Karver said.
Ash and Serena climbed onto their Charizards as the other 3 got onto Porygon's back.
the group flew over to the central platform and saw a black and red Porygon inside a central pedestal with wires attached to its head.
A pair of grunts were holding a man with greenish blue hair and swirly glasses against a terminal and forced him to work on the terminal.
Standing in front of the Pedestal was none other than Electric Earl with his now Mega evolved Ampharos beside him and two sentinels.
"So , you finally arrived. I threw the city against you and it didn't stop you. But Porygon will." Earl said.
His Porygon's eyes glowed red before he caused 4 large electric rods to rise up from the ground below.
"Gon!" The rocket Porygon shouted as he unleashed Discharge into the rods which redirected them in a storm like manner around the group.
"Look out!" Serena shouted.
Porygon, and the two Charizards had to do some serious maneuvers in order to safely land on the platform.
Ash Mega evolved his Charizard as Karver did the same to his Absol which he now let out.
As the Mega evolved Pokemon clashed, Ash and Lucy began fighting the two Sentinels as Brock and Serena tried to help the captive man and Karver went for Earl.
Earl lowered two tech blades from his exoskeleton and swung them at Karver before he blocked them with his hidden blades.
The two began to spar with each other before their blades were locked and they were face to face.
"Kanto belongs to team rocket!" Earl shouted.
"No! It belongs to its people and pokemon!" Karver shouted before he forced Earl's arms away and the slashed across his armor, cutting a portion off and causing the rest to short circuit.
Earl backed up and looked at his exoskeleton.
"Dam you aura guardians! This is expensive! It costs 50,000 dollars to fix!" Earl shouted before he ran at Karver.
Porygon saw the rocket Porygon and met eyes with him.
"Gon!" The rocket Porygon shouted as he unleashed Discharge on the rods again. The storm of lighting flew around and at Porygon as he tried to avoid each strike.
The man with the glasses turned and saw what was happening.
Finally Porygon was hit and forced to the ground.
"No! Don't give up Porygon!" He shouted.
Porygon heard his creator's voice and fought through the pain as he opened his eyes and gave a determined look.
"Gon!" Porygon shouted as he flew forward as he glowed green and smashed into the rocket Porygon with Giga impact.
The rocket Porygon was hurled out of the Pedestal and into one of his electric rods and shocked before being knocked out.
Earl was kicked in the face by Earl's acrobatic jump kick before his armor was slashed another 2 times.
He stumbled backwards before seeing his Sentinels being assassinated by Ash and Lucy, his Ampharos being knocked out, and his last two grunts being knocked out.
"I won't sit in a stockade and be interrogated by Jar heads." Earl said as he returned his Ampharos and took out a flash bang.
"No!" Karver shouted as he and his Absol tried to run at him. Earl hurled the flash bang into the ground.
When everyone regained their senses they saw Earl and his Porygon were gone.
"Dam it, he got away." Karver said.
"Porygon your safe!" Dr. Akihabara shouted as he ran over and hugged him.
"Group this is Dr. Akihabara, the one who made Porygon and designed the system." Karver said.
"Thank you all for getting him here safely." Dr. Akihabara said.
"We're not out of the woods yet, team rocket still has grunts all over the city." Ash said.
"Not for long." Dr. Akihabara said as Porygon floated into the pedestal and Dr. Akihabara re attached the wires to his head.
"Gon!" Porygon said with a happy expression as the screens turned back to their normal colors and he regained control of all the cities systems.
"Send a message to the marines outside the city, I don't think team rocket will know what hit them."
Inside the marine command center a two star Marine General, two Colonels and a Sergeant Major were looking over a holographic read out of the city.
"Ok so the force recon teams will air drop over the central control building and" The two star started before another marine burst in.
"Sir!" he shouted as he saluted.
"What is it Lieutenant!?" The general shouted before he returned the salute.
"We just received a message from a Dr. Akihabara inside the city, he said that he has regained control of the city's systems."
"I'll be dammed, Colonel Floyed, Colonel Anders muster the men and retake that city now! I want a full blitzkrieg within the hour."
"Aye Aye sir." The two Colonels said before saluting the general.
Within 2 hours the Marines retook the city and arrested all the remaining grunts. Ash and the others were waiting at the pokemon center with Karver.
"This has been quite a day." Brock said.
"Thank you all for helping me save this city." Karver said.
"It's our duty." Lucy said.
"Hopefully I can convince the mentor to let me start a new guild here." Karver said.
"We should probably spend the night here since it's getting late." Ash started before he felt several familiar aura presences approaching them.
"Huh?" He said before the pokemon center doors opened and they saw none other than Felix, Red, and Korrina come in wearing their guardian attire. Ash and the others noticed they all had serious expressions on their faces and their auras seemed very tense.
"Well glad to see you people finally answered my call for help, but you're a bit late to the party." Karver started before Felix pushed past him.
"Dad? Red? Korrina? What are you guys doing here?" Ash started.
"Son, something terrible has happened, where have you been the last few days, we've been trying to get in contact with you." Felix said sounding very serious.
"We've been on the routes. Dad what happened?" Ash asked.
"Is everything alright?" Serena asked.
Felix sighed before he looked at his son again.
"Ash, your mother, she's been kidnapped." Felix said.
"What!?" Ash screamed.
"Pika!?".
"Oh no." Serena said putting her hands over her mouth.
"Oh Reduka." Lucy said as Brock shook his head.
"How? When?" Ash said.
"Delia and Alexa went missing a few days ago when they were suppose to leave Neon city. The guild there did some investigating and found that 3 rocket officers kidnapped them. We believe they're being taken to Saffron city." Felix said.
"What are we going to do we." Ash tarted as he brought his hands to his fore heads.
Felix took his son's shoulders.
"Ash, listen to me. All of us are going to Saffron city."
"What?" Ash said.
"The mentor told us she finally had enough and ordered a team of guardians to liberate the city. We're meeting the others there." Red said.
Ash got up and gave a determined look.
"We're going to Saffron city right now."
Several hours later the group was on another route and had set up camp.
Serena tried to get some sleep, but it wasn't easy. Thinking about Delia being team rocket's prisoner.
She looked over at Pikachu who was also having trouble sleeping.
"Chu." He said.
Serena then looked over at Ash who was kneeling in front of them with his back facing the two of them.
Serena could feel how scared and upset Ash felt through their aura connection. Not only that, but Serena also experienced something similar. Back when her father had been turned to stone by Lysandre 5 years ago. But Serena could also feel something else was bothering Ash, something different.
She slowly got up and moved over to him before putting her hand on his shoulder.
"How are you holding up?" She asked.
"You know how I feel."
"I can't say I don't. But it was a bit different, I mean my father was already gone. Your mother is still alive and being held captive. That's almost worse." Serena said.
"It's not just that Serena." Ash said.
"Then what is it?" Serena asked.
"I've been thinking of everything we've done over the years against team rocket. I mean 5 years ago we stopped their operation in Kalos, now we've been stopping them here."
Serena and Pikachu gave very concerned looks at Ash.
"What are you getting at?".
"Seir hunted me when when we left pallet town and has been trying to kill me ever since. Now team rocket has my mother. What if this is my fault, what if rocket took my mother because of what I've been doing. What if I am the cause." Ash started as a single tear came down from his eye.
Serena grabbed Ash by his shoulders and forced him to look her in the eyes.
Serena now had a serious look on her face.
"You listen to me Ash Ketchum! You will not blame yourself for this. All the good you've done in your life has helped countless people and pokemon. You have done nothing wrong, but team rocket has. I won't let you feel guilty because of someone else's bad deeds." Serena said.
Ash still gave a sad expression.
"But what if something happens to my mother?".
"We're not going to let something happen to them. We're going to get her back and stop team rocket." Serena said before Ash slowly looked up at her.
Serena brought her head in and kissed him before slowly laying him on his back and staying on him.
Elsewhere in Saffron city , Delia and Alexa were lead through the Silph company building.
Eventually the Sentinels moving them brought them to the president's office and opened the door.
The two women walked into the dark office and saw a desk with a large chair facing the other way. Standing beside the desk was a tall aura guardian wearing a black and red jacket robe with a cloth over his mouth and a hood up hiding all but his eyes.
Delia noticed the aura guardian was staring at her intensely.
"So Delia, you've finally arrived." Another voice said.
Hearing that voice sent a shiver down Delia's spine.
She began shaking as the chair turned and she saw the man sitting their.
The man could see the fear and terror on Delia's face.
Alexa saw this.
"Delia, who is this man?" She asked nervously.
"Ggggiovanni." she said sounding like she was about to pass out.
The man gave a very malicious grin.
"Come now Delia, is that really how you're going to great me after all this time. You know your sons have been causing me a lot of trouble. But now that you're here, we're going to have lot's of fun." He said.
Author's note
For those of you know may not know this chapter was loosely based off an original anime episode, a banned one. Why was it banned, because the episode used a strobe light effect that made many kids in japan sick, thus it was only aired once in Japan.
But I thought it would be interesting to make it a chapter.
So many of you have asked if the group will go to Saffron city, well I hope this chapter answers that question.
On to another note college will be starting for me soon and I am now an upperclassmen cadet and thus I will have more responsibilities,
Therefore updates will start to get slower, but like I said before I am not stopping, I will finish this story and continue the arc
