Valentine's Day Flash Forward
FREYA'S POV:
Valentine's Day is fast approaching. No one was my valentine and people who are my friends gave me a new nickname, Frey. So much has changed. I drive. I smoke with Hidaki and Elda. I'm not a virgin. I mean a lot of things have changed.
Do you have a valentine, Frey?" Elda asked.
"No. Why?"
"Oh Nothing." The school bell rang loudly.
"Alright bye..."
I walked down the hallway and a hand went on my shoulder. I flipped around and saw Hidaki smiling.
"Hi."
"Hey Frey. Ready to go home?"
"Yeah."
"Alright."
We walked outside to snowflakes and icicles. He ripped an icicle off the side of the stairs and handed it to me after taking a lick.
"Try some. It's clean. I promise." I nodded and licked it. It was good. It kind of tasted like fruit.
"Why does it taste like fruit?"
"Because that's how the stairs stay clean and protected. Fruit protects the stairs."
"Cool."
We walked home in silence until Hidaki broke the silence.
"You have a valentine?"
"No why?"
"Because I was wondering..."
"Yes."
"What?"
"Yes. You can be my valentine." I was smiling at him.
"Alright."
"See you tomorrow, Hidaki."
"Wait!" He was standing there with a pack of Death City's finest, Appleton. The brand has a weird taste to it when you first smoke with it, but it has a fruity taste to it. "Want to smoke?"
"Sure. Just ket me put my bag away and get Elda." I thought for a second. "On second thought let me just put my bag away."
