Ch 49: The final Showcase
It was early in the morning in Tarvel City and Ash was inside one of the city's battle clubs.
His Charizard was holding a Rhydon's arms in place as the rock pokemon struggled to break free.
"Seismic toss!" Ash shouted.
"Grauuu!" Charizard roared as he flew up and did 3 circles before hurling Rhydon into the ground.
After Rhydon hit the ground he was knocked unconscious.
"Rhydon is unable to battle." Another trainer who was reefing the battle said.
"What? My Rhydon loosing to a Charizard?" The Rhydon's trainer said.
"Don't you know who that is, it's Ash Ketchum. He's battled in the NPC, and that Charizard is the ace of his team, him and his Pikachu." Another trainer said.
"Huh? He's a professional trainer?!" The Rhydon's trainer said.
Many other trainers heard this and couldn't believe and wanted to battle Ash too.
Charizard landed beside Ash as the other trainers lined up each wanting to battle him.
"Sorry guys, but we have to go." Ash said sweat dropping as he saw them all.
Several days had past since Ash had been defeated by Paul. Since then it took Charizard about 2 days to fully recover. When he did Ash had been battling with Charizard at as many battle clubs as he could, getting Charizard ready for the rematch.
Elsewhere at Lucy's house Serena was up going over the attire she and her pokemon were going to wear for the final showcase.
Beside her were each of her pokemon that would be performing.
Charla, Vaporeon, Nidorina, Scyther, Misdreavus, and Absol.
"Alright, I set out everything I have. You guys pick what you want to wear for your performance. Just keep in mind, you may be making quick movements so don't try to get too flashy." Serena said.
Her pokemon nodded before they looked over everything Serena had laid out.
Serena's performance dress was already cleaned and fitted. She had gotten a new one just for this final showcase.
As her pokemon picked out their attire, the door opened and Pikachu rushed in followed by Ash.
"Morning Serena." Ash said.
"Morning Ash, how did the battles go?" She asked.
"Great, the combination of training sessions and battles is helping Charizard a lot. I know if we can keep this up he can beat Salamence." Ash said before he saw Pikachu with Serena's pokemon as they picked out what accessories they would wear.
"So you're letting your pokemon pick." Ash said.
"They know themselves better than me, I think it will work out." Serena said.
"Trusting in your pokemon is important. I think you're making the right choice." Ash said.
"Thank you. To be honest, I'm a bit nervous." Serena said.
"There's nothing wrong with being nervous. It means you're not arrogant and you have respect for your opponents. Just remember to stay confident in yourself. You were one of the best performers in all of Kalos. You remember all those people and places that wanted you to perform for them. You can do this." Ash said putting his hands on her shoulders.
Serena blushed.
"Thank you Ash." She said before moving her head in and kissing him.
Moments later the door opened with Lucy, Alex, and Grace on the other side.
"Serena, you're parents." Lucy started before they saw them.
"Ma'ma , dad!?" Serena almost shouted as she and Ash gave embarrassed looks.
"Oh, not the best timing." Lucy said as she and the other 2 sweat dropped.
"Ok, I'm going to pretend we just walked in." Alex said before Grace walked up to her.
"So young lady, you've decided to move up your wedding." Grace said smiling.
Serena gave a slight smile back.
"Yes Ma'ma, I'm ready to be married now." Serena said.
"Well, you are an adult. If that is what you want." Grace said.
"We came as soon as we heard. We also wanted to see your final performance." Alex said.
"Thank you both for coming, it means a lot to have you here." Serena said.
"Hey guys, breakfast is ready." Brock said.
"Thanks Brock" Lucy said. As the others went to the kitchen, Alex stopped Ash.
"Ash, may I have a word with you?" Alex said.
"Alright." Ash said.
Alex shut the door as Pikachu climbed onto Ash's shoulder.
"Alright Ash, I knew this was coming the day I found out you proposed to her. Now that the wedding is happening soon I thought it be best we talk now." Alex said.
"Talk about what?" Ash asked.
"You marrying my daughter, the one I love most in this world." Alex said.
"Alex, I'm in love your daughter." Ash said.
"I can believe that, you have been with her for over 5 years now. Even after you two started living together, I wanted to believe you never."
Ash's face turned red as Pikachu sweat dropped.
"No! We never! We talked about it when we moved in together and both agreed to wait until we were married." Ash said holding his hands up.
Alex stared intensely at Ash.
"Alright, I believe you. I thank you for that. I suppose I may have given you a hard time all these years. You have been very good to my daughter. You've supported her, taken care of her, helped her realize her dreams. But most importantly, I know she loves you. I want her to be happy, and if I had to choose someone for her, you would be the person." Alex said before he extended his hand.
"You have my blessing." He said.
Ash smiled as he shook Alex's hand.
"Thanks Alex."
"Bien que ce serait parfait si vous étiez un soldat." Alex said.
Ash and Pikachu sweat dropped.
"Je suis plus que soldat, je suis un tuteur." Ash said.
Ash, Pikachu, and Alex then joined the others for breakfast.
"So Serena, how exactly does the final showcase go?" Brock asked.
"Well from what I've been told there are 4 rounds instead of 2. Each utilizing props for the routine. Round one , a performer can only use one pokemon. Then only a few performers make it to round 2, where you can use 2 pokemon. Then only the top few performers make it to round 3, where you use 2 more pokemon. The best 2 move on to the final round where they compete against each other. The winner is named Kanto king or queen." Serena said.
"So it's a shorter than the Grand festival." Grace said.
"Much shorter." Serena said.
"I wonder who else made it to the final showcase?" Brock asked.
"I hope Thomas made it, he deserves to make it." Serena said.
"Who's Thomas?" Alex asked.
"A young performer who I helped mentor as a performer." Serena said.
"You think Miette Will be there?" Lucy said.
"Miette, the famous Kalos performer?" Grace said.
"Yes, she's here in Kanto now." Serena said.
"Kind of a late entry isn't she?" Alex asked.
"She'll probably be there, she'll make a good challenge." Serena said.
"Well Serena, since you and Ash are so intent on being married sooner, when your showcase is done we need to get to work on getting the final preparations done for the ceremony. " Grace said smiling.
"Well, we already have the chapel picked out. Lucy showed it too me." Serena said.
"Really, I'd like to see it." Grace said.
"It's where a lot of guardians get married. Secretive, but still a good location." Lucy said.
"A guardian chapel?" Grace said as she and Alex said sweat dropping.
"I've seen it mom. It's good." Serena said.
Grace and Alex were still a bit skeptical.
After finishing their breakfast, the group made their way down to the performance hall.
Once inside they saw even more people than last time.
"Geez, this place is packed." Serena said.
Serena saw the line for registration and sweat dropped.
"I'm glad I signed up yesterday." She said.
"Serena, is that you?" Another voice said.
Serena and the others turned to see none other than Thomas Moore.
"Thomas." Serena said.
"Serena, I knew you'd make it here." Thomas said as he walked up to her.
"Thomas, you got a key." Serena said.
"A few days ago in Matra city, it was close but I made it here." Thomas said.
"I'm glad you made it. These are my parents. Ma'ma, dad this is Thomas Moore, he's a friend." Serena said.
"Pleasure to meet you Thomas." Alex said shaking his hand.
"The Showcase will begin soon. We should get ready." Thomas said.
"Alright, let's head to the changing room." Serena said.
"We'll be watching from our seats. Good luck." Alex said.
Ash gave Serena a short kiss on the cheek before he walked off with the others.
Serena and Thomas walked to the changing room together.
"So you're getting married to Ash." Thomas said.
"Yes, very soon." Serena said.
"Congratulations, I'm happy for you." Thomas said as they walked in.
"I better get ready. My attire isn't easy to get on. Good luck Serena." Thomas said.
"Good luck Thomas." Serena said.
As Serena started to change, she let out each of her pokemon and let them get into their attire as well.
"Bien, bien, bien, regardez qui est ici. Serena." she heard behind her.
Serena knew that voice. She turned around to see Miette standing there.
"Miette?" Serena asked.
"Did you really think I wouldn't make it here. I'm the best performer in all of Kalos." Miette said.
Serena smiled.
"Well I guess after today we'll see if that's true."
"We will." Miette said before she walked off.
Serena put on her new dress. The dress was different than the kind she wore before, this one taking a more eastern design rather than Kalos. It wore more like a robe with dark salmon sleeves and shoulders, a creme chest and abdomen, with a short greeen skirt that went well above her knees.
Charla wore a silver necklace, several golden arm bands , and ribbons across her wings, as well as diadem on her head.
Her other pokemon wore similar attire.
She took a deep breath as she finished putting her hair up in a slightly different money tail style than she had before for showcases.
"This is it guys, everything we've been working for. Let's go for broke!" She shouted before he pokemon cheered in agreement.
Ash and the others took their seats in a private box.
"This is certainly exciting." Grace said before the lights dimmed and 3 spotlights showed the Master of ceremonies on the stage.
He looked up and raised his top hat.
"Welcome one and all to the final of this years Kanto pokemon Showcase!" He shouted as the crowd cheered.
"The very best performers from across Kanto will be performing for the title, Kanto king or queen." He said before the first performer and his pokemon got ready to come on stage.
"Now presenting, Thomas Moore!" The master of ceremonies said as Thomas revealed himself. Thomas was wearing Samurai armor with a Katana in a sheath.
Beside him was his Blastoise wearing plates of Samurai armor over his shell and 2 Naginata blade ends on his wrists.
Thomas drew his Katana blade as Blastoise spun around and unleashed Hydro pump over them , causing the water to come back as rain and fall around them. The trainer and pokemon sparred with each other in the rain, making very precise and art like movements as they sparred with their blades.
His Blastoise then ducked down and moved at Thomas's legs, as Thomas jumped up and summer salted across his back.
"Wow Thomas has really put a lot into this final performance." Brock said.
"Serena taught him well." Ash said.
"Pika." Pikachu said nodding.
Blastoise then unleashed Ice beam in front of them both creating a large block of ice in front of them.
Thomas took a deep breath before he and his Blastoise sliced at the ice together.
After a minute they revealed an ice sculpture of the two of them standing together.
"Most impressive." Tucker said.
The two bowed together as the crowd cheered.
Several more performers went before Serena stood on the stage.
Serena stood in front of the audience as she looked at the audience around her. She saw Ash and the rest of the group out in a private box and smiled.
Serena began an elegant dance around the stage with Misdreavus moving around her. As Misdreavus moved around Serena, she used Power gem, unleashing glittering gem stones around them that sparkled in the light.
Serena then held Misdreavus in her arms before the small ghost pokemon unleashed a shadow ball onto the ground in front of them , then used Psybeam to force the ghost energy around them.
Serena and Misdreavus continued dancing beautifully across the stage. Seeing Serena like this in the dress she was wearing, got even Ash hypnotized.
Pikachu saw this and smiled before laughing a little to himself.
"Dreavus!" Misdreavus shouted as she unleashed one final Power gym above them that shined across the battlefield and showed them in it's light.
"Beautiful, and elegant." Tucker said.
"truly amazing." Nurse Joy said.
Serena and Misdreavus bowed as Ash and the others stood up as they applauded.
"Alright Serena!" Ash shouted.
After all the performers went, they stood out on the stage.
"We've had many good performers today. But Only 6 will move on to round 2." The master of ceremonies said as he started naming performers.
Thomas let out a relief breath when he heard his name at number 4.
Number 6 came and Serena braced herself.
"And finally, Serena Achille!"
Serena opened her eyes.
"We made it." She said.
"Alright!" Ash shouted.
"She's made it to round 2, now things get interesting." Brock said.
As Serena waited her turn for round 2 the first few performers went.
"Our first performer of round 2, Caine." The master of ceremonies said.
Serena and the others saw a young man who looked around 18 with blonde hair, brown eyes, with light skin, in a blue suit.
Beside him was a Gardevoir who had an orange chest fin rather than salmon and blue where she should have been green. On the other side of him was a Servine.
The Shiny Gardevoir was wearing ribbons across each of her arms. Across her waist was a blue skirt with fake shiny jewels sewed into it. Around her chest were 2 scarfs making an x and a tierra on her head.
The Servine wore a tuxedo like suit with a top hat and cane in his short hands.
"Let us begin." Caine said as he took out a magicians wand.
He pointed it at the ground as Servine unleashed a leech seed on the ground that began to sprout where Caine pointed.
Gardevoir used Psychic to force the roots into the shape of a large star around them.
After that Caine began waving his want in a circle in the air as Servine unleashed a leaf tornado around them.
Gardevoir's eyes glowed blue again as she controlled the Leaves moving around them. Pokemon shaped holes appeared in the tornado , and the leaves also moved in a cross section.
Caine then pointed his want at Servine and followed him as Gardevoir used Psychic to lift him up. Servine then used leaf blade to cut through the leaves as they passed.
When he was done, Gardevoir unleashed Psywave that hurled all of the leaf bits around the room and into the crowd.
Caine and his pokemon bowed as the crowd applauded.
"They did well." Nurse Joy said.
"He did fine." Tucker said.
Caine and his pokemon stepped off stage as Serena and her pokemon stepped on.
"Now presenting Serena Achille!" The master of ceremonies said as the spotlight showed Serena with her Scyther and Nidorina beside her.
Serena began a different dance that was just as elegant as the last one. As she did, Nidorina unleashed a series of poison spikes at Scyther.
"Scyther!" Scyther shouted as he used furry cutter to smash each stinger as he hurled the bits into the air around them.
Scyther then used double team to create a dozen copies of himself that each spun themselves around , blowing the glittering poison bits away from Serena, but still over her, sparking as they fell around her.
Once they were all away from Serena, Nidorina acrobatically used double kick through each Scyther copy. As she did, she carried a trail of poison bits behind her. Eventually she leapt off the real Scyther's shoulders and did a front flip over Serena as Scyther picked her up in his pincers and flew her into the air with him.
When Scyther landed, he bowed with Serena and Nidorina as the crowd cheered with Ash cheering the loudest.
"She's truly incredible." Tucker said.
Now Serena and the other 5 trainers stood on the stage.
"Round 3 will soon begin, but only 4 performers will be allowed to continue. These performers are, Caine, Michel Wilkerson, Miette, and Serena Achille!"
"Serena made it!" Ash shouted.
"But Thomas didn't" Brock said.
Serena was relieved she would go on, but sad for Thomas. She looked over at him and saw how disappointed he looked.
As Miette did her performance Serena met Thomas in the changing rooms.
"Are you ok?" She asked.
Thomas sighed.
"I'm fine, I guess it would have been nice to win. But I suppose I should be happy I made it this far." He said.
"Thomas, you did great out there. Sometimes you just have to keep trying, even if you don't make it." Serena said.
Thomas smiled.
"Thanks Serena, for everything. I won't stop trying and I won't stop rooting for you." Thomas said.
"Now our next performer, Michel Wilkerson. He will be performing a tribute to the Blue army of Kanto" The master of ceremonies said.
"Really." Alex said sounding excited.
"You're interested in the blue army?" Lucy asked.
"Back at the Kalos officer Academy we often had to study the military history of other nations. Particularly Kanto. You guys had the romans, and then the blue army. I always loved the story of the Blue army. They fought for freedom and to remove a tyrannical government. Just like Kalos did 3000 years ago. Not to mention they defeated an army the rest of the world saw as superior and was nearly 3 times it's size." Alex said.
The spotlight showed Michael with his Blastoise and Alakazam. Michel wore a replica of an old Blue army officer uniform very similar to the ones the historians wore on Cinnabar island. However, his seemed to have some modifications on it. Such as a newer belt, a few golden rings around the hat. Plus some gold and silver cords around the shoulder epaulettes.
The Blastoise and Kadabra wore dark blue leather chest guards and arm bands with parts of their faces under their eyes and across other exposed areas of their bodies painted dark blue. Also attached to their backs in the back of the leather were a pair of old Blue army battle flags.
The flags had parallel light blue and white stripes with a red square in the top corner that had numerous black stars on them.
"Why do his pokemon look like that?" Grace asked confused at their appearance.
"That is what Blue army support pokemon generally looked like. The Blue soldiers would paint them such ways and give them their flags to give them confidence and identify them as friendly pokemon." Alex said.
Michel smiled as he drew two officer sabers from his belt and held them up.
His two pokemon quickly snapped to attention. He then slowly moved the tips of his sabers closer to the ground in front of him before quickly snapping them back up with one each pointing towards his pokemon.
The two pokemon made very quick and precise movements forward in front of their trainer as he followed their movements with his sabers.
His Blastoise then let out a large Hydro pump above them with his two cannons as his Alakazam's eyes glowed blue and he held his spoons out.
The water was contained with the psychic energy and moved around the 3 in a beautiful manner.
"Most impressive." Tucker said.
"Indeed." "Insert other judge"
The Alakazam then hurled the water in short bursts at his trainer.
Michel made several quick and precise movements , using his two sabers to slash through the water.
Blastoise had move behind his trainer and used his mighty arms to smash the remnants of the water concentrations and sprinkle water above Michel.
Finally the blastoise covered himself in water and launched himself forward with Aqua jet. Michel leapt up and onto Blastois's shell and rode him over the stage.
"Woah, he's ridding the aqua jet." Brock said.
Serena, who was watching from the contestant area was also very impressed. Michel had come a long way since Serena first saw him at Vermillion city.
As Michel and his Blastoise rode up, his Alakazam used his psychic energy to generate old red army soldier shaped forms of water and sent them at Michel.
As each got close, Michel slashed them with his sabers, bursting them back into simple water.
The crowd began to chant and applaud already at this sight. When Blastoise reached the bottom, Michel leapt off before Blastoise landed and unleashed a massive display of water over him, Alakazam, and his trainer.
Alakazam used his psychic energy to hold it in place.
Many in the crowd began to stand up as they applauded.
Michel and his pokemon bowed.
"Wow , Michel certainly hasn't lost his touch." Brock said.
"He's a good contender. But Serena still has it" Ash said.
"Now presenting the next performer, Serena Achille!" The Master of ceremonies shouted as the spotlight showed Serena. Beside her was her Absol, and Vaporeon.
Serena began her third dance variation as Vaporeon unleashed Surf towards her.
"Sol!" Asbol shouted as swing his head forward and unleashed a Night slash that cut the surf in half and allowed Serena to continue her dance in between the two halves without a drop of water getting on her.
Vaporeon unleashed a water pulse into the air that Absol leapt up and through perfectly before doing a front flip before landing behind Vaporeon. Absol kicked his back legs up as Vaporeon leapt off them and did a backflip before landing into Serena's arms.
She kept dancing with Vaporeon in her arms. Ash she did, Vaporeon used Aqua ring around himself and Serena.
Absol came up behind them and used Double team with Night slash on the outside parts of the Aqua ring. The pieces he cut off were picked up by each of the copies in their mouths before the water burst around each copy in a sparkling manner as they circled Serena and Vaporeon.
The real Absol soon joined Serena and Vaporeon as the 3 danced beautifully together.
When Serena stopped, she , her Absol, and Vaporeon bowed as the crowd cheered.
"So much love between Serena and her pokemon." Tucker said.
Serena and the other 3 stood on the stage.
"We've seen some truly record worthy performances here in round 3, but now we move on to the final round and only 2 performers are allowed to compete. These trainers are Miette and Serena!" The master of ceremonies shouted.
"She's there!" Ash shouted.
Michel and Caine gave disappointed looks as they walked off stage.
Serena and Miette gave fierce looks at each other.
Finally the last round began and the crowd was excited.
Miette stood on the stage with her Meowstic beside her. Miette wore a blue and gold Kalos dress of the old days of kings and queens. Her Meowstic wore a small set of chain mail with a white tunic over it.
Ash thought it ironic, the idea of a psychic knight.
"Time to give these people the show of a lifetime." Miette said.
She threw a ball into the air and Mewostic used Psybeam. The Psybeam had several patters embedded into it.
The Psybeam then hit the ball it burst into a small display of fireworks.
The crowd took great interest in this.
"Wow, she got fireworks." Grace said.
"I'll give her credit for the props."
Miette danced around and tossed another 3 into the air.
Meowstic caught them each with Psychic and spun them around before they burst into more fireworks. Meowstic used Psychic to control the fireworks as they went off. Meowstic forced the fireworks to move around Miette as she moved across the stage, but still at a safe distance from her.
Serena watched from the entranceway to the stage. She too was impressed by Miette's performance, which is what worried her.
Miette tossed another 4 balls into the air before Meowstic caught them and made a square around them before they burst into more fireworks around them.
Finally Miette picked up Meowstic in her arms after she threw one final ball into the air.
Meowstic, now in Miette's arms used one final Psychic that burst into the largest firework display yet. It showed a pattern of none other than Miette with Meowstic in her arms.
The crowd applauded as Miette and her Meowstic bowed.
Serena nervously stood before the entranceway to the stage with Charla beside her.
"This is it." She said.
"Grauu." Charla growled trying to keep them fired up.
Serena was about to walk out when someone grabbed her shoulder from behind. She turned around to see Ash standing there.
"Ash." She said.
"Serena, I just wanted you to know you've been doing amazing out there." Ash said as his face stayed red.
"Thanks." Serena said now blushing .
"I know you'll do amazing out there like you always do. Remember why you're doing this while your out there. You're doing it because you love it and it's your passion." Ash said.
Serena pulled Ash in and kissed him as their faces stayed red.
"Thank you Ash." She said.
"Before you go out there I have something for you. I think it will help Charla give one final wild card in her performance." Ash said as he handed Serena a small box.
He then walked back to his seat as Serena opened the box and saw what was inside.
Her and Charla's eyes widened upon seeing what was inside. She smiled and her face turned red again before she closed her eyes.
"Merci mon amour." She said blushing with her eyes closed.
Brock saw Ash come back to his seat just as the Master of ceremonies revealed himself.
"Ladies and Gentlemen, we've come a long way since the first of the showcases. Now we're here with our final performance of our Grand Showcase. Presenting Serena Achille and her Charizard!" The master of ceremonies shouted.
The spotlights shined on Serena and Charla. Upon hearing this, Charizard came out of his pokeball and stared down at Charla.
Charla saw Charizard behind Ash and blushed a little.
"This is it." Alex said.
"Serena's final performance." Lucy said.
"She can do this, I know she can." Ash said.
"Pika!".
"Grauu!" Charizard roared.
Serena opened her eyes as she and Charla turned to each other.
Music began to play as Serena and Charla did their most elegant dance together that Ash had ever seen. Serena had clearly been practicing this for a long time.
When Serena and Charla had some distance between them, Charla flew up with her mouth open as she unleashed flamethrower around her. As she unleashed fire from her mouth, Charla also used her wings to blow the fire around Serena in a beautiful manner.
Serena continued her dance as Charla did her own dance in the air as she elegantly flew around through her fire. She used Fire punch and Dragon claw to slice through her fire, making several designed and spinning through the fire, brining the flames around her body as she danced through them.
She smiled upon seeing this.
"Well, he's certainly passionate about her." She said to herself.
Serena danced around the fire easily before she looked up and saw Charla high in the air directly above her.
She looked up at Ash and smiled.
"Now for the big finish." She said as she as she took something out of her dress and touched it.
Charla's silver necklace began to glow.
"Wait a minute, is she?" Brock started before the glowing grew into a full colorful sphere around Charla.
Brock, the rest of the group, the judges, the crowd, and even the other performers watched in amazement, while Ash and Pikachu smiled. Charizard's eyes widened as he saw the Colorful sphere vanish and Charla now a Mega Charizard Y.
"What?" Miette said upon seeing this.
Lucy and Brock turned to Ash.
"Did you?" Lucy asked.
Ash didn't respond, he just kept watching.
"Grauu!" Charla roared before she flew down spinning as she used Dragon Rage in front of her before covering her claws with fire and smashing the dragon rage with them.
Dragon energy flew all around her as she flew down and right at Serena.
Serena opened her eyes and elegantly did a backflip onto Charla's back before holding onto her neck as the Charizard Y flew high into the air, doing many elegant spins and maneuvers.
Charla blasted the ground with Dragon rage one more time on the ground.
She then raised her head before unleashing a Solarbeam right into the dragon energy , causing the dragon energy to fly around the stage, Charla landed on the ground and used her wings to blast the dragon energy all around them.
The entire crowd stood up and cheered louder than they ever had before.
All 3 judges got up and cheered.
Even Miette gave an impressed look and slowly clapped.
Serena and Charla bowed together before they looked up at their loved ones.
Serena then stood on one end of the stage with all of her pokemon beside her. Across from her was Miette and her pokemon.
The master of ceremonies stood between them.
"Ladies and gentlemen, we've seen 2 unbelievable performances tonight in round 4. But I'm afraid we can only choose 1 Kanto queen. The judges were unanimous with the decision."
Serena closed her eyes and took a deep breath.
"No matter what happens, you left everything out there." She said to herself.
"Come on Serena." Ash said to himself.
"Our new Kanto queen is, Serena Achille!" he shouted.
The crowd lit up un applause.
Serena's pokemon all nearly tackled her as they all tried to embrace her at once.
"Guys, we did it! We did it!"
"That's our daughter." Grace said.
"Way to go Serena!" Ash shouted.
"Grauu!" Charizard roared.
Miette sighed before nodding at Serena with a smile.
Tucker came up on stage and placed a platinum Tierra on her head.
"Presenting the new Kanto queen!" He shouted.
Serena stared out at the applauding crowd, her friends and loved ones among them. She finally completed a true dream of hers.

Yeah it was about time Charla mega evolved.
Serena is the Kanto queen, I couldn't have her loose her final thing twice, this isn't the anime folks.
Now that the final showcase is over we just have the wedding, the pokemon league, and the movie arc, but not necessarily in that order.
I hope you enjoyed the showcases because I likely won't be doing any more in any stories, sorry but that part of the grand story is over.
