Ch 51: The wedding.
It was late at night in Tarvel city and Ash was with Red, Brock, and Clemont inside one of the cities many battle clubs.
Ash and Red stood on one end of the battlefield with Pikachu and Noivern in front of them.
Across the battlefield were Brock and Clemont with Onix and Chesnaught in front of them.
"Chesnaught use Rollout." Clemont said.
"Onix use Stone edge!" Brock shouted.
Chesnaught rolled himself up and covered himself in rocks before rolling forward at Pikachu as Onix unleashed a series of sharp rocks in front of Chesnaught to cover him.
"Noivern use Steel wing to cover Pikachu." Red said.
Noivern turned his wings metal before covering himself and flew over Pikachu.
Noivern's metal wings easily deflected the incoming rocks.
"Iron tail!" Ash shouted.
"Pika!" Pikachu shouted as his tail was covered in metal and he leapt up before smashing Chesnaught's rock shell with his iron tail.
Chesnaught's rock shell bursted into pieces as Chesnaught himself was hurled back and into Onix.
"Now use Steel wing!" Red shouted as Noivern flew over to Onix as he raised his head back up just in time for Noivern's massive metal wings to smash into his face and hurl him back onto the ground beside Chesnaught with both their eyes swirly.
"Alright, we won." Ash said.
"Pika!".
"Noi!" Noivern roared.
"Chesnaught return." Clemont said.
"Onix return. Looks like the twins are in better combination than us " Brock said.
"It's good to see you haven't been out of practice these last few years Clemont." Red said.
"I see you haven't lost your touch either." Clemont said.
Pikachu climbed onto Ash's shoulder as Red returned Noivern.
"Have you been enjoying your bachelor party Ash?" Red asked.
"I'm having a great time ." Ash said.
"Pika!" Pikachu said smiling.
"Good, because the night's not over yet. We're going to see Daniel in his match against Lance the Dragon Master." Red said.
"Really!" Ash said.
"I told you to become a full time guardian, you get to see Daniel, all the time." Red said.
"We get to see the greatest trainer on earth in a battle!?" Brock said in disbelief.
Later that night, the 4 were sitting front row in a large indoor stadium at the same battle club.
Standing on one end of the battlefield was Daniel, the other a man had spiky Carmine hair with brown eyes. He wore a dark blue and orange striped jump suit with a black belt and boots with a black cloak cape with a red inside.
"That's Lance the Dragon master, the Champion of the Kanto region." Brock said.
" Daniel beat him when he was only 16 years old and Lance was 23. Apparently he was the first champion that Daniel beat before he challenged the others. Lance was so ashamed he lost to a teenager that he was ready to resign the position as champion of Kanto and give it to Daniel. But Daniel told him he wasn't interested, that he wanted to be the world champion." Red said.
"This is going to be an awesome match up." Ash said.
"Pika!".
"Ladies and gentlemen. We have a very special matchup tonight. We have Lance the Dragon Master against Daniel Rian, the world champion." The announcer said as the crowd gave an uproar of applause.
Daniel noticed Lance staring at him intensely. Since Daniel was young when he defeated each of the regional champions, many were unhappy that a teenager had beaten them all. Some even grew contempt for him.
"I had been champion for 2 years when some 16 year old defeated me and my dragons. It didn't make sense then and even now it still doesn't add up." Lance said with an intense expression.
Daniel smiled confidently.
"What's not to make sense, my pokemon were better trained, and I was the more skilled trainer. You battled well, I had never faced a champion before you." Daniel said.
Lance took out an orange pokeball and hurled it forward.
Out of the pokeball came a massive Dragonite, bigger than any Ash or the group had ever seen.
"Groo!" Dragonite roared.
"Wow, that's one big Dragonite." Clemont said.
"They don't call Lance the Dragon Master for nothing." Brock said.
"Ah Dragonite has grown." Daniel said before he took out a pokeball.
"I choose you Charizard!" Ash shouted.
Daniel's Charizard came out and roared as he took the battlefield. When the massive fire dragon hit the ground the entire stadium shook.
Daniel's Charizard was even bigger than the last time Ash had seen him, bigger than Lance's Dragonite, bigger than any Charizard they had ever seen. Around his neck was a golden necklace with a piece of Charizite X embedded in the center.
"Wow, that's the biggest Charizard I've ever seen." Brock said in amazement.
"I haven't seen him in a while." Ash said.
"Pika." Pikachu said amazed at seeing Daniel's Charizard.
"Charizard was Daniel's first pokemon and is his most powerful. I hear even the grand mentor wasn't able to beat Charizard. Some even call him the most powerful pokemon in the world. Better than even the legendaries when he's in his mega form." Red said.
Lance and his Dragonite grit their teeth as they saw the massive Charizard. They remembered him well. The Charizard and young trainer with skills neither of them could believe. Dragonite was soundly defeated by this Charizard despite being Lance's most powerful pokemon.
"We're ready this time. We discovered something in Mt. Silver, something that will give us the edge." Lance said as he revealed a mega evolution stone.
"Is that?" Brock stared before Lance touched it with his other hand and his Dragonite Mega evolved.
"Groo!" Mega Dragonite roared.
"Amazing folks a Mega Dragonite!" The announcer roared as the crowd cheered.
Daniel and his Charizard smiled.
"Well, I don't remember the last time we got to do this in a match against a non guardian." Daniel said as he touched the mega evolution stone on his right hidden blade holder.
Lance and his Mega Dragonite's eyes widened as they saw Daniel's Charizard Mega evolve into Charizard X.
"Grauu!" Charizard X roared.
"What?" Lance said in disbelief.
"Make your move." Daniel said as Lance grit his teeth.
"Dragonite use Stone edge into Dragon tail!" Lance shouted.
Mega Dragonite smashed his foot into the ground before unleashing a barrage of sharp rocks across the ground right at the colossal Charizard X before he flew forward with his tail glowing violet.
Charizard X already knew what Daniel wanted him to do, via their aura message.
Charizard X smiled before he turned his massive claws violet and held them in front of him. He then violently slashed every stone edge that came at him, crushing them into dust.
When Mega Dragonite reached Charizard X, the massive black dragon caught Mega Dragonite's tail in his claws and hurled him into the ground, snarling as he did it.
"Dragonite use Twister!" Lance shouted.
Mega Dragonite roared as his eyes glowed violet and he unleashed a tornado of Dragon energy into Charizard X, forcing him back a few steps.
Ash and the others watched closely.
Lance and Mega Dragonite through they might have had Charizard X before they saw it. Moments later Charizard X burst out to the twister covered in Dragon energy as he used Dragon rush.
"Dragonite use Outrage!" Lance shouted.
Mega Dragonite roared as he unleashed a furry of dragon energy all around Charizard X. Despite this, using Dragon rush, Charizard X smashed through each burst before he slammed into Mega Dragonite and hurled him across the battlefield.
"Dragonite!" Lance shouted as his pokemon slowly got up.
"He's so amazing!" Brock said with stars in his eyes.
"I know." Clemont said.
Ash and Red had let their own Charizards out to see the battle. Both were big admirers of Daniel's Charizard.
"Dragonite fly up, maybe we can outfly him." Lance said as Mega Dragonite flew into the air.
Charizard X flew up and after him before flying himself directly across from Mega Dragonite .
"Dragonite use Hyperbeam!" Lance shouted as his Mega Dragonite gathered all his remaining energy and unleashed the largest Hyperbeam the group had ever seen.
Daniel's Charizard X looked down at him as Daniel nodded.
Charizard X stared back at Mega Dragonite as his eyes began to glow blue as well as his wings and his stomach.
Charizard X openes his mouth and an indigo ball formed in front of it.
"What move is that?" Clemont asked.
"I have no idea." Red said.
Ash and Red could feel something strange about this move, they could feel its power, like no move they had felt before. Finally an indigo beam was unleashed from the ball and easily tore through the Hyper beam before hitting Mega Dragonite.
As soon as the beam hit, everyone in the stadium felt something strange. The move shoot the stadium as Mega Dragonite cried out before crashing into the ground with swirly eyes and reverting back to his normal form.
"Dragonite!" Lance shouted.
"Dragonite is unable to battle, the winner is Charizard and Daniel." The ref said as the crowd gave an uproar of applause.
Ash and the others couldn't believe what they just saw.
"I've never seen or felt a move like that." Ash said.
"Me either, Daniel's Charizard has never used that move in any matches I've seen him in before. He He must have just taught it to him. But what was it?" Ash asked.
Both brothers' Charizard and Pikachu were equally amazed at the move.
Charizard X landed beside Daniel and gave a proud look.
"We did it, I'm actually amazed it worked. I guess that proves that anything is possible when the creator gives you the proper guidance." Daniel said as his Charizard X nodded.
Elsewhere in the city, Serena was with her mother, Delia, Korrina, Lucy, Shauna, and Bonnie in Tarvel city's most expensive restaurant.
"Geez Korrina this place is so classy, how did you get so many reservations here?" Serena asked.
"I have my ways." Korrina said.
A fancy restaurant like this wasn't Korrina's style, but she knew Serena would love it and it was her party.
"I can't believe tomorrow you're going to be married to Ash." Bonnie said.
"I know." Serena said blushing.
"I'm so excited for you, I've never been a bridesmaid before." Shauna said sounding excited.
Serena turned to her mother and Delia.
"Ma'ma, Delia. Do you have any advice for being married?" Serena asked.
"I'm afraid Grace may be able to help you more than me, Felix's and I's last '20' years of marriage was only really strong the first year and then the last 5 years." Delia said sweat dropping.
"Well, I can say being married is far preferable than single life. Having a life companion that you're truly in love with. Knowing that you will always have them beside you. " Grace said.
"You and Ash will make a great married couple. You've basically been married for the last few years." Korrina said.
"What are you guys going to do after you're married?" Bonnie asked.
"Well we have our honeymoon planned out. After that's done, Ash is going to keep training his pokemon until the Indigo league starts. If he wins that, he might make it into the elite 4." Serena said.
"If Ash makes it into the elite 4 at age 21, he could go a lot of places in the pokemon league. He might even become Champion of Kanto some day." Lucy said.
"I guess he know's what he's doing. But what about you Serena, what are your plans for your future?" Grace asked.
"Well she's getting married. I suspect soon after she'll be having children." Korrina said smiling.
Everyone at the table stared at her and sweat dropped.
"Anyway, I meant in terms of a passion or career?" Grace asked.
"Well, I love performing. I would love to continue doing that some way." Serena said.
"Well now that your a Kanto queen. That opens up a lot of possibilities for you." Lucy said.
"What do you mean?" Serena asked.
"After Aria became a Kalos queen, she told me any event would pay her handsomely for her to perform for them. Now that your a Kanto queen, you could do the same, anywhere in the world. Performance queens are recognized for their skills." Lucy said.
Serena liked the idea Lucy just gave her. Performing for people around the world like Aria.
"That sounds like a good idea. Maybe Aria could tell me how she got started after she became Kalos queen." Serena said.
Elsewhere sitting on top of the gym/guardian guild overlooking the city, were Alex and Felix.
"I don't know how you convinced me to come up here." Alex said.
"Come on, it's nice to see a city from this hight." Felix said.
"If you can climb like a primape maybe. I had to climb 6 flights of stairs." Alex said.
"Well it's good the father of the bride and father of the groom can have some time to talk before the wedding." Felix said.
"I suppose, here I brought some wine." Alex said as he took out a glass bottle.
"Kalos wine, why not." Felix said before Alex poured them each a glass and they began to drink.
"I still can't believe one of my sons is getting married tomorrow." Felix said. Before he noticed Alex have an uncomfortable expression as he drank more wine. Felix could also feel the man's aura was uneasy.
"Is something wrong?" Felix asked.
"I've been dreading this day since Serena was born. The day I lose her to another man." Alex said as he drank more wine.
"She'll still be your daughter. It's not like " Felix started.
"You have no daughters, you don't understand. The thought of tomorrow, the wedding night. When they." Alex started before he drank more wine.
"I see, well I can't say I see it from your perspective. But did you think of Grace's father on your wedding night?" Felix asked.
Alex lowered his glass.
"I know this is hard for you. But try to think of how happy Serena will be." Felix said before Alex sighed.
"Maybe you're right. I suppose I never had any sons, I never got to be happy for them to be in love" Alex said.
"So who was your father, or does he still live?" Felix asked.
"My father was a general in the Kalos army, he passed from cancer just after Serena came into the world. He got to hold her just once."
"He was a soldier too."
"My family has served as officers in the Kalos army since the Kalos revolution against the mad king. My father told me we have ancestors that fought in the free Kalos army." Alex said.
"They would have fought beside my ancestor Vaeron." Felix said.
Alex sighed.
"I'm going to be honest, I am disappointed Serena did not become a soldier like me. I always hoped my family line would keep serving like we had for generations. But as she got older it became clear to me she didn't desire that lifestyle. My wife didn't quite understand that concept when it came to training Serena to be a Rhyhorn racer." Alex said.
"Serena has followed her own path, it's important she does that." Felix said.
"Yes, I'm happy she is doing what she loved. But I know how it works with your kind. When she has children with your son, they will be like you and him. They will be trained and their children will be like them and none will return to Kalos to be soldiers." Alex said as he drank more wine.
"My grandchildren will choose their own path. I didn't make Ash and Red become guardians. They choose to."
"When was the last time someone in your family choose not to be like you?" Alex asked.
"I don't know, but I know one of my guardian ancestors who fought in the Kanto revolution was an officer in the blue army before he became a guardian. Therefore his parents likely weren't" Felix said.
"The Kanto revolution. Merde." Alex said before he took another drink.
Later that night Ash and Serena spelt in different rooms.
Serena couldn't sleep out of excitement. When she was a little girl and had a crush on Ash after meeting him in Oak's camp, she dreamed that they would get married some day. Most little girls dream of falling in love with their first crush. Few end up doing it.
When Ash and Serena started living together it would have been easy for them to start sleeping together and do other things. But they both knew it was better to wait for marriage. Now that day was there.
Tomorrow she and Ash would be man and wife. They would spend the rest of their lives together. Have children together.
Even now she could hardly wait any longer.
Elsewhere in Ash's room, Pikachu was already asleep, but Ash was up staring out the window.
Ash had known he loved Serena for a long time. In many respects he wished he could have married her right after Reduka saved her. He thought he was ready then. But he knew two 15 year olds getting married wasn't a smart idea.
Now he was 21 and Serena was 20. They were grown adults and were ready for marriage.
He took off his hidden blades and got into his bed. Just before he got under the covers, he took out Altair's time flower and tried to connect his aura to it.
However, just like last time he couldn't see Altair's memory.
"What in the name of Reduka is going on?" Ash asked.
He wanted to know what happened with Altair. Still he wasn't too upset knowing what was going on the next day.
He laid down with his head beside Pikachu and fell asleep.
The next morning Ash got out of the shower before wiping his hair with a towel. Still wearing nothing , he walked into his room where Red was sitting in a chair.
"Morning groom." Red said.
"Morning best man." Ash said as he wrapped the towel around his waist.
"The day's finally come. I'd consider asking Korrina to marry me as part of my best man speech, but like I said, she'd have us married by the end of the night. I wouldn't want us to steal the attention from your special day." Red said.
"Thank you for that." Ash said before he put on his boxers and a t shirt.
"How exactly are you going to do your hair little bro, since it's the wedding day she can't see you and obsess how neat it is. I suppose mom will take care of that." Red said.
"Don't remind me." Ash said as he took out the ring case and walked over to Red before handing it to him.
Red opened it and saw the 2 rings inside.
"Geez, that's solid gold and a pure diamond. How much did this cost you?" Red asked.
"I found it in Jake Newlon's treasure." Ash said.
"Oh right, I heard about you guys finding his ship near seafoam. The mentor had the ship kept at seafoam and the treasure brought to the enclave. You guys took some didn't you." Red said smiling.
"Were we wrong to?" Ash asked.
"No." Red said before he put the ring case in his jacket.
"Lucky for me, Korrina likes my hair messy. Though it's not as bad as yours. " Red said smiling.
"I'd rather you try then mom. Or I'll be here for half the day." Ash said.
"I can try, but you know mom. She might do it anyway." Red said.
"At least I don't have to wear tux, those things are so uncomfortable." Ash said as he opened his closet and revealed his guardian jacket robe. This one , however, wasn't his normal one. It seemed to be more tailored for more ceremonial purposes rather than combat.
"I still can't believe you got Mom and Serena to agree to let you wear that and not a tux."
"Serena knows it's tradition for guardians to wear ceremonial robes for such occasions." Ash said.
He put the ceremonial robe on with the hood down.
"Pika!" Pikachu shouted as he climbed onto Ash's shoulder.
Elsewhere Serena was with Korrina, Lucy, and her mother as she put on her wedding dress.
"You look so beautiful Serena." Grace said.
"Thanks ma'am." Serena said blushing.
"So Serena, since this is a aura guardian wedding. Wouldn't it be more fitting for me to wear my guardian robes." Korrina asked.
"I'm not wearing mine." Lucy said.
"You're a bridesmaid Korrina. That means you're in the bride's party and have to match the bridesmaids." Grace said as Korrina sighed and sweat dropped.
Elsewhere Felix wore his aura guardian robe as Delia put on a dress.
"Do you have to wear that to your son's wedding?" Delia asked.
"It's a guardian wedding. Your son getting married is wearing one." Felix said.
Delia sighed.
"Don't remind me." she said.
"Its his heritage. Let him celebrate it. Besides its his wedding." Felix said.
Delia sighed again.
"I suppose." Delia said.
Ash and his party left the house first, making sure the bride and groom didn't see each other.
They made their way to the hidden chapel inside the guardian guild.
The chapel was very large with rows of seats down the aisle and large areas of the side, specifically made for pokemon to watch.
Ash and his groomsmen waited by the end of the aisle. Several guests had already arrived. Guests including, Diantha, Dakota, Aria, professor Sycamore, Brock's parents and his brother Forest, Leaf, Daniel and Serina, Thomas, Paul, Clemont and Bonnie's father, Misty, Professor Oak, and even Gary.
There were also other guardians and trainers Ash had befriended over the years. A few of Grace's friends had also come. Felix and Paul made sure the non guardian guests understood the need to keep it all a secret.
"Ash my boy, congratulations." Oak said.
"Thanks professor, did you bring them?" Ash asked.
"Yes, all yours and Serena's pokemon are here to see you get married." Oak started before he was slammed onto the ground with Muk on top of him.
"Muk!" Mum said smiling as Ash and the others smiled and sweat dropped.
"Come now Muk! I just bought this suit!" Oak shouted.
"So Ashy boy, I still can't believe you're getting married. Before me too." Gary said.
"Who would you marry, you're not even dating anyone." Leaf said.
"Well, those cheerleaders who use to follow follow me around still call me every few days begging me to date one of them. Maybe I'll finally do it." Gary said.
Leaf gave un unapproving look.
"Really, those half wit girls who followed you everywhere. You could do better." Leaf said.
Red and Ash looked at each other for a moment as they saw Leaf and Gary got at it.
Ash made his way to all his other pokemon, who were more than happy to see him.
Ash was almost tackled to the ground as many tried to hug or jump on him.
"It's great to see you guys again." Ash said.
"Hawl!".
"Grouu!".
"Croc!".
"Haunt!"
"Mooo!"
"Groouu!"
"Squawk!"
"Goo!"
"Trev!" His pokemon shouted.
He was soon Joined by the others.
"So these are all of your pokemon. You certainly have a lot." Diana said.
"Kalos and Kanto pokemon, a lot of variety." Dakota said.
"I wanted them all to be here for today."
"This is a pivotal moment of your life. It's good your including all your loved ones in it." Aria said.
Ash's old Kalos pokemon were also conversing with Ash's new time, like his Blastoise and Venusaur.
Also in the Aisles was Alex and Daniel.
"So you were captain Nair?" Alex asked.
"Yes , I was. It was my secret name so I wouldn't be swarmed by my fellow Airmen." Daniel said.
"Nair is just Rian spelled backwards, you could have gotten more creative." Alex said.
"Il m'a aidé à garder une trace de mon nouveau nom facilement." Daniel said.
"Je vois." Alex said.
"So look at you, a brigadier general in just 6 years. Impressive. " Daniel said.
"After the incident at the tower, I was in charge of bringing down the rest of the flare criminals across Kalos. When I did I was promoted to full Colonel, a few years later after several generals retired around the same time they needed some experienced officers to replace them. So I applied, was interviewed by now Lieutenant general Chairon and was given my first star." Alex said.
Delia and Serina were standing beside each other. Delia noticed Serina's stomach was large and swollen.
"How far along are you?" Delia asked.
"7 months, soon Daniel and I will have a child." Serina said blushing.
"Do you know what the gender is?"
"The guardian healers believe it's a boy. We're naming him after Daniel's father, James." Serina said.
"James, that's a good name. " Delia asked.
"Any advice for a first time mother?"
"Don't worry, it will all come naturally to you. It did for me." Delia said.
Moments later an older guardian wearing ceremonial robes walked down the aisle to the alter. Beside him was an older looking Lucario.
"May I see the groom and best man please." He said.
Ash and Red walked over.
"I am regious master Parken. This is my Lucario." The older guardian said.
Regious masters were guardians who devoted their lives to studying the mysteries of the legendary pokemon. Particularly Reduka, they also lead the guardians in religious worship of Reduka. Each one had to also be legally ordained to marry people.
"I will be overseeing the wedding. We will begin shortly. May Reduka bless your union." Regious Master Parken said.
"Thank you Regious master." Ash said.
In a changing room, Serena was waiting with her bridesmaids and her mother.
All of her pokemon , even the ones outside her current team were with her.
"I'm so happy to have all my pokemon here." Serena said as most came around her and tried to embrace her.
"Phox!".
"Oark!"
"Auros!".
"Frou!".
Her pokemon said back to her. When Delphox let go of Serena she noticed Charla staring intensely at her.
"Phox?" She said in confusion.
"Grauu." Charla growled claiming that Charizard was hers and she wouldn't let her near him.
"Phox." Delphox said sweat dropping.
"It's almost time." Lucy said.
Korrina gave an uncomfortable look as she saw herself in a mirror wearing a bridesmaid dress.
"All those guardians out there in their ceremonial robes and me in this." She said sweat dropping.
"I'm so happy for you. My little girl will soon be married." Grace said before she hugged her.
"I'm jealous." Shauna said.
"Wait does that mean you want Clemont to marry you!" Bonnie shouted full of excitement.
"Wait Bonnie." Shauna said before Bonnie ran off.
"Oh no." Shauna said sweat dropping.
"Poor Clemont." Korrina said.
Moments later there was a knock on the door.
Grace opened it and saw Alex in his officer service dress.
"It's time." He said.
"It's time." Serena said almost nervously.
"Well we better get out there." Lucy said as she walked out with the others , leaving just Alex and Serena.
Alex took a deep breath before he walked over and draped her vail over his daughter's face.
"I love you Serena, more than anything. I want you to know that." Alex said.
Serena looked back at her father.
"I know dad. I love you to." Serena said.
Back in the chapel, Ash , Red, and Felix were alone in the entrance area.
"This is it." Ash said.
"I'm so proud of you Ash, this is one of the happiest days of my." Felix started before he felt something.
"Dad?" Red asked as they saw their father's Lucario see someone behind them.
"Grouu." He growled as his eyes widened.
"Well, well , well. I thought I'd see you here." Another voice said.
Felix and his sons slowly turned to see another aura guardian and a massive older looking Charizard standing before them.
This guardian wore ceremonial master robes that looked more ceremonial and like older styles of robes than Ash and Red had ever seen. He was about the same hight as Felix, but maybe a little taller. He had brown eyes and hair shaped like Ash's and Felix's.
It had once clearly been black, but now grey with a goatee around his chin and lip.
He had a serious expression on his face, and a very familiar aura.
"You." Felix said nervously.
"So you've finally decided to be a father to your sons. You should thank Reduka they've allowed you back into their lives boy. " He said in a serious tone.
Felix gave a shamed expression as Ash, Red, and Pikachu were confused.
"Dad, who is this master?" Ash asked.
The man turned to them.
"I am Arthur Ketchum. Felix's father and your grandfather." He said.
"What!?" Ash and Red shouted.
"Pika!".
"Dad, is he telling the truth?" Ash asked.
Felix slowly raise his head.
"Ash, Red, this is your grandfather."
"Wait, why haven't we met you in all these years?" Red asked.
"Your grandfather and I haven't seen eye to eye for many years." Felix said.
"Because you're a failure boy. You always have been!" Arthur shouted.
Ash and Red were stunned by hearing him say this.
"Father I." Felix started.
"Chance after chance I gave you. I spent half my life training you to be the greatest guardian in the brotherhood, someone our ancestors could be proud of. Even after your mother died, I didn't let my mourning stop my devotion to you, my only son. But what did you do with all that devotion. You abused your abilities, you nearly got your brothers killed, you got one killed in the mine and turned his partner into a monster. Then you abandoned your own sons to chase ambition only to abandon that ambition as well."
"I had to make amends to my sons. Redeem myself like Vaeron." Felix started.
"Don't you dare compare yourself to Vaeron the great, boy! You aren't worthy!" Arthur shouted.
"Hold on Arthur, our dad has done bad things. But he's more than redeemed himself." Red said.
"Oh Red, I can understand the instinct to defend your father. But a father knows his son far better than a son knows his father." Arthur said before he turned to Felix.
" My son, the failure to his bloodline!" Arthur shouted before he turned to the entrance to the chapel.
"My grandson is getting married. My position in the brotherhood may have kept me from seeing him and his brother, but I won't miss this." Arthur said as he and his Charizard walked in.
Felix lowered his head in shame.
Ash and Red couldn't believe what they just saw. Their own grandfather talking about his son that way. They knew their father had done bad things in his past, but he wasn't that man anymore. If they could forgive him, why couldn't a father forgive his own son.
"Dad, it's alright." Ash said as Felix looked up.
He hugged both his sons.
"I have the love of my sons, that means more to me than just about anything in this world." Felix said.
Several minutes later, as the rest of the guests took their seats, Felix sat in the front row with Paul to his right and a few guardians down, his father.
"So yer old man came. Any luck with rekindling with him?".
"Not yet."
"That's alright Felix, try to focus on the good thing happening today. Yer son's gettin married, and yer gonna have a daughter." Paul said.
"You're right. This is a great day." Felix said as his Lucario nodded.
On the side of the chapel, all the pokemon stood watching. Delphox saw Charla nuzzling the side of Charizard's face with her face red.
Delphox was glad Charizard had found someone knew. She had always felt bad abut the way things ended between the two of them. She felt a little better now that she knew he found someone else. She also noticed that Charla seemed a bit younger than him.
Moments later several guardian musicians began playing the entrance score as Ash walked with Delia beside him.
They were followed by Red and Korrina locked arm in arm.
Aria and Diana noticed Korrina in her bridesmaids dress and laughed a little.
Red and Korrina were followed by Brock and Lucy who were in term followed by Clemont and Shauna.
Bonnie was sitting beside her father on Serena's side of the chapel. She wished she was old enough to be a bride's maid.
When Ash and his mother reached the alter Delia gave him a kiss on the cheek before sitting beside Felix and Alexa.
The groomsmen then stood beside Ash, who still had pikachu on his shoulder as the bridesmaids stood on the other side of the alter.
All eyes turned to the entrance as Serena slowly walked down the aisle with Alex's arm locked with hers. She had a bouquet of white roses and stared ahead at Ash for the first time that day as he looked back at her.
Serena and Alex were followed by a little girl who was Alexa's niece.
When Alex and Serena reached the alter, he lifted up her vail and teared up before he gave his daughter a kiss on the cheek, then slowly walked over to his wife and sat beside her.
Serena stepped up to the alter and stood right in front of Ash.
They were then joined by a little boy who was Alex's step brother's son. He had a pair of fake rings on a pillow and stood in front of the bride and groom.
Regious master Parken raised his head at the two.
"Friends, family, guardians. We are gathered here on this momentous day , to see the union of Ash Ketchum and Serena Achille. The union of two people, into one. One bond, one love, one marriage before Reduka. In the beginning, the creator intended for his children to mate for life. But when Arceons began to take a separate path. They mated in ceremonies defined by Altair and blessed by Reduka. These were the first marriages."
Parken took a breath.
"Now , thousands of years later we still carry on this grand tradition started by our brotherhood. To see these two young people come together before Reduka. I have married hundreds in my life. Every time I can feel the auras of the wedded, I can feel their love for each other. When I read these twos' auras . I feel so much love and passion for each other. I don't believe, I know they will love and treasure each other every day until they leave this world for the next. Once they both reach it, they will love each other for an eternity." Parken said as Alex and many others started to tear up.
Parker continued with the ceremony.
"The time has now come. May I have the rings." Parken said.
The little boy moved the fake rings closer as Parken took them, while Red took out the real rings and handed them to Parken's Lucario.
When the little boy saw this he stormed off the alter, angry he didn't have the real rings.
Many in the crowd laughed a little at this until his mother picked him up.
Parken took the real rings and handed each to Ash and Serena.
"Now, Ash Ketchum. Before the father Reduka. Do you take Serena Achille to be your beloved wife. Do you swear to love and support her, treasure her every day. Stay faithful, give her children and raise them. From this day until your last?" Master Parken said.
Ash looked deeply into Serena's eyes.
"I do." Ash said.
"Serena Achille. Before the father Reduka. Do you take Ash Ketchum to be your beloved husband. Do you sweat to love and support him, treasure him every day. Stay faithful, bear children with him and raise them. From this day until your last?"
Serena stared back into Ash's eyes as a single tear of joy came from her eyes.
"I do."
"Place the rings upon each other's hands."
Ash placed his ring on Serena's hand as she placed hers on his .
"By the power bestowed upon me by Reduka the creator of life. I pronounce you man and wife. You may kiss your wife." Parken said before Ash quickly sweat Serena off her feet and passionately kissed her as her face turned red.
As Ash did this , Pikachu nearly fell off Ash's shoulders as Serena wrapped her arms around Ash.
The chapel erupted in applause as Ash and Serena walked down the aisle hand's held together.
Just before they left, Serena tossed the bouquet as several girls tried to catch it. However, as if by intention the flowers landed right into Korrina's hand as she turned to Red, who gave a nervous expression.
An hour later, all of the guests and pokemon were in a hotel ball room sitting at the tables.
The bridesmaids and groomsmen walked in together before Red stood in the center of the room.
"Ladies and gentlemen, we've been waiting a long time for this. Now they're here, presenting Ash and Serena Ketchum!" Red shouted before the guests applauded when they saw Ash and Serena walking in hand in hand.
They sat down at the head table before servers came out and placed food before each of the guests and a platter of food before all of the pokemon.
After all the bridesmaids and groomsmen sat down at the head table, Red took a microphone and stood in front of the main table.
"Alright, can everyone here me. I hope so, because I'm giving the speech anyway." Red said as the others started to laugh.
"Alright so first I'd like Serena to put her hand down on the table." Red said before Serena did it.
"Alright now Ash put your's on top." Red said before Ash did it.
"Alright enjoy this Ash because it will be the last time you're on top in the marriage." Red said before everyone started laughing.
"Ok seriously now, Ash is my twin brother. We've been best friends since we entered this world. We first met Serena when we were little boys at professor Oak's camp. One day he came back with a blonde girl who he said he helped her when she was hurt. After that day they spent the rest of summer camp together, holding hands, watching pokemon. I even joked that they were boyfriend and girlfriend." Red said before the crowd laughed again.
"Then 7 years ago we moved to Kalos and ran into a blonde girl who we had met before. It didn't take me long to find out she had a big crush on my brother. Ash , was a little slow though. For some reason he couldn't see the obvious signs she liked him. Then when he finally came to his senses and realized he liked her, I found out he still didn't realize it. I had to uh, knock some sense into him."
Ash gave a somewhat embarrassed look as the others laughed.
"So from that day I was happy to see my brother finally dating the girl everyone wanted him to be with. The two had such a beautiful relationship, I loved seeing them together. I know these two love each other because of all they've done together. All the risks they've taken for each other. How they've defended each other, stayed devoted. Sacrificed for each other. I know that these two were meant for each other, now they're finally joined for the rest of their lives. Let's here it for Ash and Serena!" Red shouted as the crowd applauded.
At one table Gary and Leaf saw several trainers he had never seen before and an Aura guardian.
"So who are you guys exactly?" Gary asked.
"We're friends of Ash from the NPC. They call me DarkraiGal." One said.
"They call me QueenSpeller. I'm also a close friend of Diana and Dakota." Another said.
"I'm Brig Nodrm." Another said.
"I like to be called NinjaFang."
"They call me Smashgunner."
"My NPC call sign is Mad Master Dragon."
"I'm the LucarioMaster."
"I'm a close guardian friend. For a while I kinda made sure Ash didn't do anything stupid. My name is Kurama, Kurama FTW." The guardian said.
After Red sat down Korrina got up and took the Microphone.
"Alright folks, I didn't grow up with any siblings. I lost both my parents when I was young. Then 7 years ago, I met this group. Soon a little girl proposed for me to marry her friend Red. Oddly enough I would fall in love with him. But hey, this isn't about me. I also met Serena that day. A girl who had a lot of differences in personality from me. Even odder, we got along great. We were like sisters, I remember when I taught her how to fight. It was one of the proudest days of my life to see her fight like that." Korrina said before more laughter came.
"Sadly these last 4 years we haven't been able see each other as much as we use to. I missed her so much. But when I found out she was getting married to Ash. I knew there was justice in the world. Ash , Serena may Reduka give you a blessed marriage and let you have lot's and lot's of babies." Korrina said as the others in the audience sweat dropped and slowly clapped.
Alex shook his head and drank some whine.
After Korrina sat down and the group ate their dinners, Red got back up.
"Alright folks, now for their first dance as husband and wife. Ash and Serena!" Red shouted before slow music began to play and Ash walked out to the main dance floor with Serena before they slowly danced together.
They were soon joined by Red and Korrina, then Brock and Lucy, Clemont and Shauna, Felix and Delia, Alex and Grace, and the other couples.
Gary saw so many others up there and nervously looked over to Leaf.
"Well, uh, none of the cheerleaders are here. I wanted to dance, maybe we could uh." He stared before Leaf nervously blushed.
"Well, why not." She said before they slowly went up to the dance floor.
Ash and Serena continued to stare deeply into each other's eyes as they danced in each other's arms.
Several hours passed as a few people and pokemon were now dancing to faster songs.
Ash and Serena were sitting at the head table with Serena's head resting on Ash's shoulders. Ash saw how late it was getting and looked down at Serena.
Before he could say anything she nodded.
Ash and Serena walked out of the hall as Pikachu raced after them. Red saw this and quickly caught Pikachu in his arms.
"Oh no Pikachu, I think tonight you'll be staying with Korrina and I. " Red said as Pikachu gave a confused expression.
Felix noticed this as well an gave a smile before he got up to use the bathroom. As he walked out of the restroom he felt a familiar aura. He turned to see his father standing outside the door.
"What, come to tell me more about what a failure I am?" Felix asked.
"That can wait until later, right now I have something important to tell you." Arthur said.
"Why didn't you tell me earlier?".
"Ash was with us, no need to trouble him with this on his wedding day. It's about the traitor, Kal. Several days ago he infiltrated the grand enclave and knocked out a group of guardians guarding Altair's tomb. Once inside he opened the tomb and stole it."
Felix's eyes widened.
"He stole the Heart of Reduka." Felix said in disbelief.
"From our ancestor's own hands. You know what that device is capable of. You also know Altair was the only one who could wield it without going mad. Now that the traitor has it there's no telling what he'll do next." Arthur said.
Felix gave a serious expression.
"I'm going to find him and make things right. I'm going to bring back the heart to Altair. Then will you finally not see me as a failure?" Felix asked.
"Perhaps, if no guardians or innocents die before you stop him." Arthur said before he walked off and Felix sighed.
When Ash and Serena reached their room, Ash put a do not disturb sign on the knob outside before locking it on the inside.
As he turned around Serena was already there and quickly wrapped her arms around him before passionately kissing him.
The two slowly walked over to the bed before Serena undid Ash's ceremonial robe and undershirt.
Ash laid back on the bed as Serena undid his belt and slowly took his trousers off. She also undid his hidden blades and placed them on the nightstand
Ash pulled Serena onto him as he unzipped the back of her wedding dress and undid the shoulder straps. Serena's wedding dress slowly slid down until it was on the floor and she was in just her black bra and panties.
Serena wrapped her arms around her new husband as he did the same and they continued to kiss before staring deeply into each other's eyes.
"Are you ready?" Ash asked.
"I'm ready." Serena said as Ash moved his arms away.
Serena slowly looked down and put her hands on the waistline of Ash's boxers before slowly pulling them down from there.
When they were off, she dropped them on the floor beside his robes. When she finished, Ash moved his hands onto her back and onto the strap of her bra. Moments later Serena's bra was undone and fell onto Ash's chest.
After he dropped the bra to the floor he moved his hands to the edges of her panties and slid them down to her ankles before she used her feet to toss them to the floor.
The two stared into each other's eyes one more time before Serena closed her eyes and put her hands on Ash's face as she kissed him while moving her tongue into his mouth. Ash she did this Ash moved his hands onto her read end while they both began to move their bodies.
For the rest of the night, Ash and Serena laid together as man and wife for the first time.

Yup the chapter I'm sure most of you were waiting for. Ash and Serena are finally married!
I tried to include lots of guests, including some very special guests who have left a lot of reviews or helped me in other ways, I appreciate all of that.
So with the wedding done the next phase is obvious, honeymoon.
Ash and Serena will do the thing on their honeymoon most newly weds do. As for the details, it will be about the same as the details I gave in this chapter. Sorry if you're name wasn't up there, but I wasn't going to list every name of every person who ever left a review, just the ones I see the most frequently.
I said this a thousand times and I'll say it a thousand more, Storymaker2 don't do lemons.
Also try not to hate Arthur, he's done plenty of good in his life for thousands of innocents.
