A/N sadly this story is coming to an end. I want to thank everyone for reading and following, and reviewing. You all are amazing! Thank you so much for your support! I'm not sure if I will do another Divergent story. I think I might stick to The Hunger Games, or maybe I'll reread the books before I start another. I want to thank B. Loves. Books for helping me plan this story. I hope you enjoyed this story. Also, Merry Christmas!
Tris pov
Months pass without any chaos. It's almost strange that there isn't something going on. Tobias and I have been in a disagreement over the name of the baby. We just can't come to an agreement on the name!
I lay on the couch with my legs over his lap. My hands on my stomach. "We have to decide on something! He could come any day now." I say to him.
"I know, I know, but I don't think we should name him Theo. I don't think it's very fitting."
"I like that name,"I say.
"What about Aaron?"
"May be for his middle name." I say. "What about Tyler?"
"Hmmm... it keeps the T theme to our names. I like it." He says after thinking for a minute.
"So Tyler?"
"Yes."
"Tyler Aaron Eaton."
He smiles at me and brings me closer to him. His hand rests on my humongous stomach. It's so weird, I've always been really small, and now my giant stomach makes me look even tinier in comparison.
He leans down to my stomach and says,"I can't wait to meet you, Tyler." I feel a kick in the direction of his voice. He already knows his father's voice. I smile at my handsome husband and then lean in as much as I can, to kiss him.
"Will you help me up?" I ask him, lifting my arms. I lost the ability to stand up on my own a month ago. Tobias hasn't left my side since. He won't let me do anything on my own anymore.
He stands up and lifts me into his arms.
"I can still walk , you know..." I say annoyed.
"I know, but I like carrying you."
"Aren't I too big to carry now?"
"You'll never be too heavy to carry, Tris,"he says amused.
He sets me down in our bed and climbs in with me. I curl up to his side the best that I can. His hand land on my stomach which is going crazy. He must be doing somersaults in there. I lift my shirt up and reveal the skin beneath. My stomach moves as he pushes against the sides.
"Baby, I'm trying to sleep," I say to my stomach.
Eventually I drift off to sleep. I'm woken up only hours later by a sharp pain in my lower back. I shake Tobias in panic. I can barely gasp his name. "Tobias! Wake up!"
"Tris? What is it?" He asks sleepily.
"I think I'm in labor!"
"What?!" He says shooting up. "Holy shit!"
He scoops me into his arms along with the prepacked bag. I groan in pain as he runs us to the hospital. Tears roll down my checks. We get in right away, considering that we are the fation leaders.
As he carries me into the room, my water breaks.
I lay in pain on the bed with my legs apart.
"You are 3 centimeters, Mrs Eaton."
I groan. I still have a long time.
"Tobias, get him out of me!" I cry.
"I'm sorry love, I wish I could." He says almost painfully.
"You will never come near me again with that cock of yours! I don't want to ever endure this pain again!" I yell at him.
He starts to laugh, a little embarrassed.
I sigh and say,"I'm sorry, I don't mean that. I love you."
"I love you too, Tris."
I groan in more pain. There's a knock on the door. A nurse pops her head in. "I want to inform you that your family is here."
"Can I see them?" I ask.
"Of course," the nurse says,"just let me cover you up."
She walks over and brings the blanket over my spread legs. My hand grips Tobias' as another wave of pain hits me. The door opens, and in comes my family. My mom smiles at me and says,"how do you feel, Beatrice?"
"It's so painful!" I groan.
"I know baby, I know. But it's so worth it. When you hold that baby in your arms, you'll forget about all the pain."
From the room, I hear someone yelling at the nurse,"I need to sew her! Let me through!"
Christina.
"Will you tell them to let Christina through before she explodes?"
"Sure," Caleb says and disappears into the hall.
Soon Caleb returns with Christina.
"Tris! This is so exciting!" She says.
I smile at my best friend. "Try not to antagonize my nurse,"I say with a smile.
"Sorry, but they wouldn't let me through. The others are in the waiting room." She says.
I'm hit with another contraction. This one is the most painful yet. I look over to see worry etched into Tobias' features. I bring my hand up to his face and say,"I'm okay."
He kisses my Palm and says,"I'm sorry you have to go though so much pain, Tris."
"It'll be worth it. But I don't think I want anymore kids for a while." I say.
An hour later, the nurse comes in and asks everyone to leave but Tobias. She checks me and says,"it looks like you're ready, Mrs Eaton."
"You'll push on three." The doctor says.
I nod.
"One..two..three.."
I squeeze Tobias' hand as hard as I can as I push. I grit my teeth and scream in agony.
I am told to stop pushing after 10 seconds. "I can see the head. Would you like to feel, Four?" They ask. He nods. The doctor takes his hand and I hear Tobias gasp as he touches the head.
Ten minutes later I hear,"the heads out!"
I can hear the cries of my baby.
I am told to push again, and again, and again, until finally the baby is out. They ask Tobias to cut the umbilical cord and then they hand the bloody baby to him. Tears roll down both our faces as he hold the red screaming baby.
He brings him to me and sets him on my chest. I cry even more as I hold my baby. I press my lips to his forehead and say,"welcome to the world, Tyler Aaron Eaton."
They take him away from me to clean him up and check him. They bring him back, wrapped up in a blanket. His cries have quieted to a whimper. They hand me him and help me feed him.
When he is done being fed, he is burped, and then rests on my chest. I smile at Tobias as he kisses his head. "I love you so much, Tyler,"he says.
"Do you want to hold him?" I ask.
He nods.
I carefully place the baby in his arms. A powerful feeling that I've never felt before fills my heart as I watch Tobias hold him. The smile on his lips, and the way he looks at the baby warms my heart.
He is so tiny compared to Tobias. His little fist closes around his finger. I reach in the bag and pull out a camera. I take a picture of Tobias holding him while he's not looking. He looks up and smile when he sees what I've done.
There's a knock on the door, and my mom pokes her head in. I smile at my parents as they walk in. Tobias hands the baby to me and I say,"meet Tyler Aaron Eaton."
"He's perfect!"My mom gasps.
"Would you like to hold him?"I ask.
"Of course!" She says and I hand him over to her. I take pictures of each of my family members holding him and then pass the camera to Tobias. My mom happily holds her grandson and talks to Tobias as I drift off to sleep.
When I wake up, we are alone again.
Tobias tells me that each of our friends saw him, and that he got pictures. I hold my baby in my arms and think about how blessed I am to have him and Tobias. I am so thankful that everything is over and my son can be safe. Or as safe as Dauntless is.
I love my family so much. I can't imagine going one day without my husband, and now my child.
As I lay there with Tyler asleep on my chest, Tobias kisses me passionately. "You don't know how much I love you, Tris. Thank you for giving me this beautiful son. I love you."
"I love you too, Tobias."
The End.
