Just to let you all know, there's a time skip from September to the end of October in this chapter. In chapters when there's a time skip, it means that nothing extraordinarily interesting has happened between where it left off and when it starts again, and if something interesting has happened, then it will be explained.
This is a REALLY long chapter because I was really in the mood to write this week:p
Enjoy!
Friday 25th October:
Avalon Brickstone's POV:
Avalon rested her head against Aaron's chest and breathed in deeply. Avalon smiled as she felt his arms rap around her waist. She looked up at him and he smiled at her.
Avalon and Aaron had decided to keep their relationship a secret, just incase it didn't work out. The only person who knew about it was Tayla. They had met behind the school, where no-one ever went, every morning for the last month or so.
"When can we tell people?" Avalon asked.
Aaron took a drag of his cigarette, 'About what?'
Avalon frowned at the blazing cigarette he held in his hands. He'd promised her weeks ago that he'd try to quit.
"About us." Avalon explained.
Aaron exhaled a puff of smoke and threw his cigarette onto the ground before stomping on it. Avalon handed him a piece of gum and he popped it into his mouth.
"Whenever you think we're ready." Aaron said after a while.
"Well, I think we're ready." Avalon said firmly.
Aaron smiled at her and grabbed her hand in his, 'Okay, let's go then.'
Avalon grinned and they walked around to the front of the school and entered. They walked down the halls hand-in-hand. To say they got a few odd looks would be a major understatement. Avalon had seen these looks before. She'd often given them herself. But she got the feeling that they weren't nasty looks exactly, just confused and wary looks.
Avalon and Aaron arrived at her locker.
"I'm gonna go to my locker. I'll meet you here in a few." Aaron said.
Avalon nodded and planted a kiss on his cheek. Aaron walked away and Avalon sighed happily at his retreating figure. Avalon turned around and jumped when she spotted Abby and Lindsay standing in front of her, their arms linked.
Abby turned her head and smiled, 'Aaron Kim, huh?'
Avalon narrowed her eyes at her and nodded slowly.
"Hmm, I like you two together." Lindsay spoke up.
"I agree." Abby chimed in, 'I'm happy for you.'
Avalon smiled, 'Thanks girls.'
"So how's Tayla been?" Lindsay asked.
Avalon knew better than to tell these girls anything.
"Fine." She replied simply.
Abby and Lindsay frowned at her, 'She seems so... lonely lately.'
"Well maybe if you'd take the time to talk to her once in a while, she wouldn't be." Avalon replied.
Abby laughed, 'You know we can't do that. She's not a Cheerio.'
Avalon shook her head disappointedly, wanting desperately to change the subject.
"So how have you girls been?" Avalon asked, shoving books into her bag and closing her locker.
"Great!" They both replied simultaneously.
"Have you decided who you want as co-head Cheerio yet?" Abby asked, taking a small step forward.
Avalon hadn't given a minute of thought to it. Coach Roz had let her decide who would be the next co-head Cheerio, since Tayla had quit.
"I have my eye on a few people." Avalon lied.
Abby and Lindsay squealed with excitement. Just then, Lyssa Carrington walked up to them and smiled broadly. Abby and Lindsay scowled, bid goodbye to Avalon and walked away.
Avalon ignored Lyssa and turned to walk away.
"You know, she had it coming." Lyssa said.
Avalon clenched her fists. When Tayla had told her what Lyssa had done, Avalon wanted nothing more than to give Lyssa a piece of her mind, but Tayla had made her promise that she wouldn't.
Avalon turned around and took a deep breath. She removed her phone from her pocket and texted Lindsay.
Grape, extra large. Pronto x -Avalon.
Avalon looked up at Lyssa and scowled, 'You're a horrible person.'
Lyssa laughed, 'No. Tayla is.'
"Okay, I'll admit that at times Tayla can go too far, but you have no idea what she has to deal with." Avalon replied calmly.
Lyssa's smile faltered for a second, 'Oh, please. She had it all. She was just an ungrateful bitch.'
As if on cue, Lindsay arrived next to Avalon, holding something behind her back. Lyssa didn't notice Avalon talking the cup from Lindsay. Lindsay scooted away a few metres.
"I'm going to give you one chance to take back what you just said." Avalon said through gritted teeth.
Lyssa smirked, 'Nah.'
Avalon had had enough. She removed her hand from behind her back, revealing a huge plastic cup overflowing with purple slushie. Before Lyssa could register what was about to happen, Avalon thrust her arm forward and smirked slightly as the slushie hit Lyssa on-target.
The halls went silent for a moment and Lyssa gasped. Then, everyone erupted into laughter and Lyssa ran into the bathroom, sobbing.
Avalon looked up to see Aaron staring at her, his eyes wide. Avalon motioned for him to come over. She explained to him, in private, what Lyssa had done to Tayla, leaving out the kiss part of the story of course. After she was done, Aaron narrowed his eyes at Lyssa as she emerged from the bathroom, her Cheerios uniform stained purple.
"Nice shot."
Austen Fischer's POV:
Austen arrived in the cafeteria and sat at a table with Ava Flores, Joshua Shapiro and Blake. The Glee Club members had all gotten a bit closer to one another, so it wasn't odd to find them sitting together at lunch. No matter how much Austen pleaded, Blake refused to join Glee Club.
Austen was about to take a bite of his sandwich when Ava nudged him and nodded towards the door. He looked up to see Avalon and Aaron walking towards them, hand-in-hand. Austen's mouth dropped open.
"So the rumours are true?" Austen asked as the couple sat down at the table.
Avalon nodded and leaned her head on Aaron's shoulder. Austen decided not to mention anymore about it.
"Is Tayla sick? Again?" Austen asked.
Avalon nodded sadly. Tayla had missed numerous days of school, and although Austen barely knew her, he was worried about her. Austen didn't have time to say anymore as Lindsay arrived at their table. Austen looked at her curiously.
"I just came over to say," Lindsay started, 'That I'd like to invite you all to my Halloween party next Thursday. The theme is 'sexy'.'
Ava looked up, surprised, 'Even me?'
"Was I talking to you, She-Man?" Lindsay spat.
Ava looked down at the table and Avalon opened her mouth to say something, but Lindsay continued.
"Just to clarify, I'm only inviting Avalon, Austen, Blake and Aaron. Not either of you." Lindsay said, pointing at Joshua and Ava.
Before Austen could protest, Lindsay turned on her heels and walked away.
"I'll text you all the details!" Lindsay called over her shoulder.
Avalon scowled, 'She's a bitch when she wants to be.'
Austen placed a hand over Ava's and looked at Joshua, 'We won't go. We can all do something together.'
Joshua shook his head, 'No. Go. It'll be fun.'
"Yeah. Joshua and I already had something planned anyway." Ava agreed.
Aaron looked at them, 'Are you sure?'
Joshua nodded vigorously, 'Yeah, don't worry about it! I think I left my backpack in History class, will you come with me to get it, Ava?'
Ava nodded and the two left the table.
Austen looked down at his food, 'I'm not sure if I'll go.'
Avalon nodded in agreement, 'Yeah, me neither.'
"Why not? Just come with us." Blake said, nudging Austen.
"Yeah," Aaron chimed in, 'Anyway, Josh and Ava seem pretty excited about whatever they have planned.'
Avalon sighed, 'Alright, I'll go.'
"Me too." Austen said after a while.
Blake fist-pumped the air.
Austen laughed, 'What are you all dressing up as?'
The four of them started discussing their costumes, and when the bell rang, they all went their separate ways.
Eloise Summer's POV:
As Eloise rolled past the bathroom, she heard sobbing from inside. She stopped and listened again, just to be sure. When she heard the sobbing again, she slowly opened the bathroom door and peered inside.
She spotted Ava Flores sitting in a heap in the corner, tears streaming down her face. Eloise rushed over to her.
"Ava? Ava! What's wrong?" She asked.
Ava looked up at her and opened her mouth to say something, but she broke down and hid her head beneath her hands. Eloise placed a hand on Ava's shoulder.
"Did someone say something to you?" Eloise asked.
Ava nodded and she sobbed louder.
"Was it about your... gender?" Eloise asked, choosing her words carefully.
Ava nodded and Eloise sighed.
"Come with me." Eloise said, taking Ava's hand in her own.
Eloise guided Ava to the choir room, where she knew Glee Club would be taking place. She opened the door and Mr. Schuester rushed over to Ava.
"Ava! Are you okay?" Mr. Schuester asked.
Ava didn't answer and he looked at Eloise. She motioned for him to take Ava and sit down. He did so and Eloise whispered something into the pianists ear. He smiled sadly and nodded. Eloise rolled to the middle of the room and took a deep breath.
"This is for you, Ava," Eloise began, 'And just know that your friends are always here for you.'
(Eloise Singing, Eloise and New Directions Singing)
Made a wrong turn once or twice
Dug my way out, blood and fire
Bad decisions, that's alright
Welcome to my silly life
Mistreated, misplaced, misunderstood
Miss 'No way, it's all good'
It didn't slow me down.
Mistaken, always second guessing
Underestimated, look I'm still around
Eloise made her way over to Ava and stopped in front of her. She took Ava's hand in hers and continued.
Pretty, pretty please, don't you ever, ever feel
Like you're less than, less than perfect
Pretty, pretty please, if you ever, ever feel
Like you're nothing, you are perfect to me
You're so mean (so mean) when you talk (when you talk)
About yourself. You were wrong.
Change the voices (change the voices) in your head (in your head)
Make them like you instead.
So complicated,
Look how we all make it.
Filled with so much hatred
Such a tired game
It's enough, I've done all I could think of
Chased down all my demons
I've seen you do the same
Tears start to roll down Ava's face and she forced a weak smile.
Pretty, pretty please, don't you ever, ever feel
Like you're less than, less than perfect
Pretty, pretty please, if you ever, ever feel
Like you're nothing, you are perfect to me
The whole world's scared, so I swallow the fear
The only thing I should be drinking is an ice cold beer
So cool in lying and we try, try, try but we try too hard
And it's a waste of my time.
Done looking for the critics, cause they're everywhere
They don't like my jeans, they don't get my hair
Exchange ourselves and we do it all the time
Why do we do that, why do I do that?
Yeah! Oh!
Oh, pretty, pretty, pretty
Pretty, pretty please, don't you ever, ever feel
Like you're less than, less than perfect
Pretty, pretty please, if you ever, ever feel
Like you're nothing, you are perfect to me
Pretty, pretty please, if you ever, ever feel
Like you're nothing, you are perfect to me.
As the song finished, everyone swarmed around Ava and pulled her into a huge group hug.
Wednesday 30th October:
Tayla Mallory's POV:
Tayla pulled her bed covers over her tightly and shoved another mouthful of ice-cream into her mouth.
"Tayla!" Tayla's mother, Amiya, called up the stairs, 'You have a visitor.'
Tayla sighed, 'Send them up!'
She had expected Avalon to walk in, but she was surprised when Austen Fischer opened her bedroom door and stepped inside.
Tayla scowled at him, 'What do you want?'
Austen sat down beside her, 'I didn't know your moms were lesbians.'
"Barely anyone does," Tayla replied before adding, 'Off.'
Austen stood up and took to kneeling on the floor next to her bed instead.
"I'm here to tell you that Avalon and I got invited to a Halloween party tomorrow." Austen began.
"Well congratulations." Tayla replied sarcastically.
"We want you to come with us." Austen finished.
"Why?" Tayla asked.
"Because," Austen placed a hand on Tayla's, 'We care about you. And we're worried about you.'
Tayla looked away from Austen as tears started to form in her eyes.
"You haven't been in school and Avalon says she hasn't heard anything from you in days." Austen continued.
"Then why are you here and not her." Tayla spat viciosuly.
"Because she said she knows you'd want your space." Austen replied.
Tayla sighed. That girl knew her so damn well.
"Who else is going to the party?" Tayla asked.
"Aaron and Blake are the only other people I know of." Austen replied.
"Whose party is it?" Tayla asked.
"Lindsay's." Austen said.
"I'm not going." Tayla said firmly.
"Why not?" Austen cried.
"Because, she's a bitch." Tayla said.
"Well so are you?" Austen joked.
Tayla looked at him and laughed, 'Alright, fine. What time?'
"We'll pick you up at eight." Austen said, getting up to leave.
Tayla nodded and watched him open the door.
"Oh," Austen said over his shoulder, 'The theme is sexy by the way.'
Tayla groaned, 'That's so cheesy!'
Austen laughed, 'See you tomorrow.'
Tayla smiled to herself as Austen closed the door. She stood up and searched through her closet for something 'sexy' to wear.
Thursday 31st October, Halloween:
Valery Crane's POV:
Valery walked into the homeless shelter and removed her jacket.
"Hello, Valery." An old man greeted her.
Valery smiled politely at him and took her place in the cue. She looked around at the dirty, wizened faces of all of the homeless people. These were her friends. They were the only family she had.
At the age of 15, she became emancipated. Her parents bailed on her and moved to Hawaii, so she spends most nights at homeless shelters. She works at the Lima Bean almost six hours a day to earn enough money for food and clothes. She hasn't ever told anyone this. Well, apart from Kylie.
Valery's eyes stung at the thought of her ex-girlfriend, so she pushed Kylie to the back of her mind and accepted the food that was dumped onto her plate. She turned around and almost dropped her plate when she spotted Santana pushing open the door. Valery dived to the nearest table and hid her head in her hands.
Unfortunately, Santana had already spotted her and was making her way towards Valery, a confused expression on her face.
"Valery?" Santana asked.
Valery turned a deep shade of red and looked up at Santana.
"What are you doing here?" Santana asked.
Valery's eyes darted around the room, as if searching for an excuse.
"I...uh... I volunteer here," Valery lied, and when Santana looked down at her plate, she added, 'I was hungry.'
"Oh," Santana said, taking a seat across from her, 'Some old guy stole my purse and I chased him in here.'
"Did you get him?" Valery asked.
Santana shook her head, 'He can have it. There wasn't anything important in it.'
Valery nodded and stood up, 'I better go... my mom has dinner ready.'
Santana looked between Valery and Valery's food confusedly. Before Santana could say anything, Valery grabbed her jacket, flashed everyone a quick smile and bolted out the door.
*Earlier That Day*
Austen Fischer's POV:
Austen slammed his front door shut behind him and walked to Blake's car which was parked in his driveway. He climbed in and sat down next to Aaron in the back.
"What are you supposed to be?" Avalon asked, admiring Austen's costume from the front seat.
Austen shrugged, 'A sexy Peter Pan.'
Blake laughed, 'Well, it's definitely sexy.'
Austen reached forward and punched Blake's arm, 'What are you anyway?'
"James Bond." Blake replied.
There was a moment of silence.
"James Bond isn't remotely sexy." Avalon said.
Austen and Aaron laughed and Blake frowned.
"Yeah he is!" Blake complained, 'What's Aaron anyway?'
"I'm a police officer." Aaron replied.
"With a very tight shirt." Austen added.
"I think you can all guess what I am." Avalon laughed from the front seat.
"The slutty nurse? Really?" Blake asked.
"Don't you think that's a bit cliché?" Austen asked.
"It's better than Peter Pan!" Avalon teased.
Austen stuck his tongue out at her as Blake pulled up outside Tayla's house.
"I'll go get her." Avalon said, opening the door.
"I'll go too." Austen said.
Austen and Avalon walked up the long drive-way and Austen knocked lightly on the door. A woman in her late forties answered the door. She smiled at Austen and Avalon.
"Avalon! It's so good to see you!" She said, throwing her arms around Avalon.
Avalon hugged her back, 'You too, Amiya.'
Amiya turned to Austen, 'You were here yesterday, weren't you?'
Austen nodded and Amiya smiled at him.
"You better treat my little girl with respect!" She pointed a finger at him.
Avalon burst into laughter and Austen turned bright red, 'I..eh.. nevermind.'
Tayla appeared behind Amiya, donning a sexy vampire costume. She hugged her mother and kissed her cheek.
"Be home before midnight!" Amiya called as the three of them walked down the driveway.
"No promises!" Tayla called over her shoulder as she climbed into the car.
On the drive to Lindsay's house, they all had to explain to Tayla what they were dressed as. After about half an hour, they arrived outside Lindsay's house and they all climbed out. Austen could hear music from outside and bright lights shone through every window.
Tayla linked arms with Austen and they strode up the path to the house. They knocked on the door and Lindsay answered the door, wearing nothing but a pair of very short denim shorts and a bikini. She scowled at Tayla.
"What's she doing here?" Lindsay asked.
"We brought her along. I hope you don't mind." Austen replied politely, feeling Tayla tense up beside him.
Lindsay narrowed her eyes, looked around and then smiled at Tayla.
"No of course not! Come in!" Lindsay exclaimed, opening the door wider.
The five of them stepped in and they all went their separate ways. Avalon and Aaron went straight to the dance floor and started dancing, while Tayla and Blake basically sprinted over to the bar. Austen stood against the wall and looked around for a minute.
After a few minutes, he decided to get a drink. As he arrived at the bar, someone crashed into him and sent him sprawling on the floor. Austen scowled and looked up. His eyes widened when he realised who had knocked him down.
"Oh, I'm so sorry!" The boy said, offering him a hand.
Austen took Ryan's hand and Ryan hauled him up. Austen looked Ryan up and down and noted that he was wearing a set of tight army clothes with big, black combat boots.
Austen didn't know what to say, so he smiled politely and turned to walk away.
"Wait," Ryan said, tapping Austen's shoulder, 'You're that guy from last month, aren't you?'
Austen was surprised that Ryan remembered him, 'Yeah, I am.'
"So you know Lindsay?" Ryan asked, striking up a conversation.
"Yeah, I go to school with her. Do you?" Austen replied.
Ryan nodded, 'We used to date.'
Austen didn't know why, but he suddenly felt disappointed.
"And she invited you to her party?" Austen asked, confused.
Ryan shrugged, 'We're still friends.'
Austen nodded.
"Want a drink?" Ryan asked.
"Yeah, sure." Austen replied.
Ryan reached over the bartender's table and fished around for something to drink. It took all of Austen's might not to look down at Ryan's slightly revealed underwear.
Ryan turned back to Austen and handed him a bottle of beer. Austen looked down at the beer and frowned.
"I actually don't drink." Austen said in a tiny voice.
Austen expected Ryan to laugh and tell him to stop being such a coward.
"Oh," Ryan said, taking Austen's beer from him, 'How about a Coke?'
Austen nodded, surprised. Ryan reached back over the table, and this time Austen couldn't help himself. He looked down and immediately regretted it. His knees went weak and he had to place a hand on the bar table to keep steady.
Ryan handed him a bottle of Coke and he held up his beer, 'Happy Halloween.'
"Happy Halloween." Austen repeated, clinking the two drinks together.
Austen spent about twenty minutes talking to Ryan. As it turns out, they both have a bit in common. They both love Disney. They both love singing. They're both top of their class.
As it turns out, Ryan moved to New York from Lima last year, and then moved back to Lima at the end of summer.
After a while, someone tapped Austen's shoulder and he turned to face a very mischievous-looking Blake.
"Hey, where have you been?" Blake asked.
"I was talking to my friend." Austen replied, pointing at Ryan.
Blake and Ryan looked at eachother for the first time and both of their eyes widened. Austen looked at the two of them confusedly. Blake grabbed Austen's sleeve and pulled him into the crowd.
"Ow! What are you doing?!" Austen complained.
Blake didn't reply. He dragged Austen upstairs and into an empty bedroom.
"I don't know what kind of idea you have of me but I'm not having s-"
"Stay away from him." Blake said firmly.
Austen turned his head. Blake began to pace the room and Austen noticed that he'd gone slightly pale.
"What's wrong?" Austen asked.
Blake didn't answer his question, 'I thought he was gone. I thought he moved.'
"Blake!" Austen screeched, snapping Blake out of his trance, 'What do you mean 'stay away from him'?'
Blake sighed and sat down on the bed. He patted the space beside him and Austen sat down.
"Remember I told you I used to go to Dalton?" Blake asked.
Austen nodded.
"Well, when we were both 12, we were both in the same class in Dalton. We were best friends. We did everything together. He was the nicest, most trustworthy person I knew." Blake explained.
Austen urged him to continue and he sighed, 'Then, I came out to him about being gay. I was expecting him to freak out and that he would want to stop hanging out with me. As it turns out, he was bi-curious. At first, we agreed that we didn't want anything to happen between us. But then, I started to have... feelings for him.'
Blake stopped and Austen noticed that his eyes had gone watery. Austen gripped his hand tightly.
"Go on." Austen urged him.
"One day, when we were both 15, I was over at his house for the holidays and... I kissed him. And he kissed me back. That's when he finally figured himself out, and came out as bi-sexual. We started going out and I was head over heels for him." Blake explained further.
Austen nodded, processing everything that was being said.
"Everything was going great. But then I started to notice that he was changing. He wasn't the same sweet, innocent, kind guy I met when we were 12. Within the span of a year, he'd changed into this snarky, manipulative... well, bully I guess. He'd do anything to get his own way and he had no limits. He was basically like the male version of Tayla." Blake said.
"If you don't want to go on, you don't have to." Austen said.
Blake shook his head and continued, 'I just thought it was hormones or something. But one day, I walked into our dorm room and I caught him with another guy.'
Austen noticed tears falling from Blake's eyes and Austen pulled him in for a hug. Blake pulled back after a while and took a deep breath.
"So, we broke up. I asked my parents to pull me out of Dalton, but they wouldn't. So, I got myself expelled. They kicked me out of the house and I moved in with my uncle. When I heard that he'd moved to New York last year, I was so relieved. I wouldn't have to see him again and I wouldn't be reminded about... all this." Blake finished.
"Oh my god... Blake." Austen said, 'I'm so sorry.'
In the blink of an eye, Blake pulled Austen in for a kiss. At first, Austen was surprised, but eventually he started to kiss Blake back. After a few seconds, Blake broke the kiss.
Blake looked down at the floor, 'Can I be alone please?'
Austen nodded, patted Blake's hand and left the room. Austen bounded down the stairs and began searching for Avalon, Aaron and Tayla. As he entered the kitchen, he crashed into Ryan and Austen scowled at him.
"There you are! I've been looking for you everywhere." Ryan said.
"Stay away from me." Austen said through gritted teeth.
Austen walked away, leaving Ryan standing alone with a confused look on his face. Ryan chased after him and caught Austen's hand.
"Please. Just listen." Ryan said desperately.
Austen narrowed his eyes at him, 'You have five minutes.'
Ryan nodded and pulled Austen into the nearest closet. Ryan began to tell Austen pretty much the same story that Blake had told him moments before. Ryan told him about how him and Blake used to be best friends etc. But the story changed when Ryan was halfway through.
"I was so into him. I thought it was... I dunno, love or something. But, then I started to notice that he was getting a lot of attention from other guys in the school. I started to suspect that he was... fooling around behind my back or something." Ryan explained.
Austen turned his head confusedly, but motioned for Ryan to continue.
"I noticed that all of the guys I thought he was fooling around with were tough, mean people, I guess you could say they were bullies. So, I tried to act like them. After a while, I actually turned into one, just to keep Blake with me. However, Blake and I just kept drifting apart and, one day, I walked into our dorm room, by this stage we were both 16, and I caught him in bed with... my cousin." Ryan said.
Austen's eyes widened. He wasn't sure whether to believe him or not.
"I was absolutely heart-broken. So, when my mom got offered a promotion in New York, I urged her to accept it and I moved there with her, leaving my dad and brother here in Lima. My mom re-located back here at the end of summer and everywhere I went, I prayed that I wouldn't meet him..." Ryan finished.
Ryan's eyes were bloodshot and he'd gone as white as a ghost. Austen didn't buy it for one second. Austen turned and left the closet. He bounded up the stairs and opened the door to the bedroom where he left Blake.
Austen walked in and almost fainted when he saw Blake making out with another guy on the bed. They were both stripped down to their underwear. When Blake spotted Austen, he cursed and pushed the guy away from him.
"Austen... it's not what it looks like!" Blake cried.
Austen shook his head and slammed the door shut. He sprinted down the stairs and out the front door. He collapsed in a heap in the front yard and he felt a hand on his shoulder. He looked up, expecting to see Avalon, Aaron, Tayla or maybe even Blake, but instead, his shiny blue eyes met with Ryan's brilliant blue eyes.
"I'm sorry," Ryan said, sitting down on the grass next to him, 'I followed you upstairs and I saw... him and that guy.'
"I thought he liked me." Austen managed to choke out.
Ryan sighed, 'That's how he operates.'
"You know, he slept with my best friend at the start of September." Austen admitted to Ryan.
Ryan cautiously placed a hand on Austen's shoulder, and when Austen didn't shove his hand off, Ryan wrapped his arm around him. Austen started pulling grass out from the ground.
Ryan and Austen sat there for about ten minutes. They didn't say anything. They didn't do anything. They just sat there.
After a while, Austen spoke up, 'I want to go home.'
"Why don't you?" Ryan asked, pulling his arm off of Austen.
"Blake drove me here." Austen replied.
Ryan nodded, 'I can give you a lift. If you want.'
Austen smiled, 'That'd be great thanks.'
On the car ride home, neither of them spoke a word until they pulled up outside Austen's house.
Austen sat still for a moment, trying to think of something to say.
"Why don't I give you my number?" Austen blurted out.
Ryan looked at him confusedly and Austen mentally kicked himself.
"You know, just incase you ever wanna... hang out or something." Austen said, looking down at the ground.
Ryan grinned and handed Austen his phone. Austen handed Ryan his and they saved their numbers into each other's phones.
Austen climbed out of the car and closed the door.
"Thanks." He smiled through the open window.
Ryan smiled back and drove off.
Avalon Brickstone's POV:
Avalon searched around frantically for one of her friends, but she couldn't find them. She was exhausted and she just wanted to go home. Suddenly, she bumped into Lindsay.
"Avalon! I want you to meet someone. Hang on." Lindsay said, disappearing into the crowd.
A few moments later, Lindsay returned with a short girl with curly blonde hair.
"This is my cousin, McKenna. She transferred here from France and she's starting in McKinley next week." Lindsay announced.
McKenna smiled shyly at Avalon and Avalon smiled back.
"Think she's Cheerios material?" Lindsay asked.
"Yeah definitely," Avalon replied, 'If you'll excuse me, I have to go. It was lovely meeting you McKenna.'
Avalon walked away and continued searching for her friends.
Friday 1st November:
Aaron Kim's POV:
Aaron woke with a pounding headache. He sat up and looked around, he was in his own room. He can't remember the events of last night. As he rubbed his eyes, he felt someone move next to him in the bed. He smiled and turned around, expecting to see Avalon lying beside him. His eyes widened though, when he realised it was Tayla lying beside him in bed!
"Oh my god!" Aaron screeched, jumping out of the bed.
Tayla sat up and looked around. When she saw Aaron standing with a pillow covering his... area, her eyes widened.
"Oh my god... we didn't... did we?" Tayla asked, her hand covering her mouth.
"Well, we're both naked!" Aaron screamed.
"I can't believe this! Where's Avalon?!" Tayla screeched.
Just then, Aaron's phone rang and he jumped.
"Look away." Aaron said.
"Why?" Tayla asked.
"I want to get changed." Aaron replied.
Tayla covered her eyes as Aaron got dressed. When he was dressed, he answered the phone.
"It's Avalon." He said to Tayla.
"Put it on speaker." Tayla whispered.
(Aaron, Avalon, Tayla)
Hello?
Hey! Where did you go last night? I couldn't find you, Tayla or Austen anywhere! Blake and I drove home alone.
Uhm, Tayla felt sick so I walked her home. I was going to go back, but my uncle called and he wasn't feeling great either, so I came home to take care of him. I hope you don't mind?
No, that's fine! How's your uncle?
Good. Where are you now?
In the Lima Bean. I have a raging hangover. Come meet me?
Yeah sure.
Tayla changed back into her costume under the sheets and stood up. She began to walk to the bathroom, but she stubbed her toe and cried out.
Who was that?
Uh, what do you mean?
That sounded like Tayla.
Oh, eh yeah it is. We're skyping.
Really? Hey Tay!
Hey Av!
Come to the Lima Bean?
Uhm, sure.
I'll pick her up.
Great. See you both soon!
Aaron hung up and threw his phone on the bed. Tayla sat down next to him and sighed.
"What are we going to do?" Aaron asked.
"Should we tell her?" Tayla asked.
"Yeah... I think we should." Aaron replied.
Tayla sighed, 'Okay. Drive me home.'
"Why?" Aaron asked.
"I need to get changed out of this." Tayla replied.
After about an hour, Tayla had changed and they both arrived at the Lima Bean. They stepped inside and noticed Avalon sitting in the corner. They both shuffled over to her. Aaron felt like he was going to get sick.
"Hey guys!" Avalon said, wrapping them both in a hug.
"Ehm, Av. We need to talk." Aaron said.
Avalon shrugged and sat down, 'About what?'
Aaron glanced at Tayla and he opened his mouth to say something, but Tayla interrupted him.
"About the party! What did we miss?!" Tayla asked.
Aaron looked at Tayla confusedly. Avalon told them all about what they'd missed at the party, while Aaron's conscience was eating away at him.
Monday 4th November:
Aaron Kim's POV:
Aaron arrived outside the school and walked inside. He made his way to his locker and got the books he needed. Suddenly, his locker was slammed shut and he turned to face Tayla. Her hair was a mess, her make-up was smudged and her eyes were bloodshot.
"What's your problem?" Aaron asked coldly.
Tayla sighed, 'Follow me.'
Aaron reluctantly followed her to an empty classroom. She shut the door behind him and began crying.
"What's wrong?" Aaron asked.
"Well... I noticed on Friday that my... you know... I was late..." Tayla sobbed.
Aaron's eyes widened.
"So, I went to the drug store and..." Tayla collapsed onto the floor.
Aaron kneeled down next to her and rubbed her back, 'Just tell me. What happened?'
Tayla looked up at him and sniffed, 'I'm pregnant.'
Ohhh cliffhanger! Sorry to do that to you guys:p Please review and let me know what you thought of the chapter. I understand that these chapters are based mainly around Avalon, Aaron, Tayla, Lyssa, Blake and Austen, but every character will definitely get a storyline. I promise!
