I'm so glad you all seemed to enjoy the last chapter:) I'm sorry to any of you who liked the idea of Tayla being pregnant, but it was never the intent to actually have her pregnant:p This chapter may start off a bit slow, but I had to use it as a bit of a filler, but I promise that it gets better. Anyway, enjoy the chapter!

Monday 9th November:

Charlotte Hudson's POV:

Charlotte took her seat in the choir room and noticed that two people were missing: Austen and Avalon. That meant that Austen had decided to join the Troubletones.

It wasn't a tough decision for Charlotte. It felt right for her to be with the New Directions. It was what Finn would have wanted.

Mr. Schuester entered the room and didn't seem phased by the fact that Austen and Avalon were missing.

"Okay, we really need to get started on our set list for Sectionals next month," Mr. Schuester announced, 'As I mentioned already, we're definitely doing a duet. Since we've established that Avalon and Aaron aren't going to perform together, I think we should have Charlotte and Ava perform the duet.'

Charlotte blushed and she glanced at Ava. The pair hadn't spoken since the duet. Ava looked reluctant.

Tayla scoffed, 'No way. We're not having mini Alexis Arquette perform a duet at Sectionals.'

"Why not?" Charlotte asked, 'Vocal Adrenaline had a transgender lead singer, and she became all kinds of famous.'

"Did I ask you, Bugs Bunny?" Tayla spat.

Charlotte consciously covered her teeth and glared at Tayla.

"What do you propose then, Tayla?" Mr. Schuester asked.

"We all know that the two hottest bitches in this Glee Club were Avalon and I," Tayla began, 'But since she betrayed us, I'm the only one left. And the only person that can maybe, possibly keep up with my talent and drive is Lyssa.'

Charlotte side-glanced at Lyssa. Her cheeks were burning red and she smiled modestly at the floor.

"We can give you a taste now, if you'd like?" Tayla suggested.

Just then, the bell rang and Mr. Schuester sighed.

"Okay, I'd like Tayla and Lyssa, and Ava and Charlotte to have a duet prepared for Wednesday." Mr. Schuester announced.

Avalon Brickstone's POV:

Avalon had managed to recruit Austen, Abby, Lindsay and another two Cheerios whose names she couldn't remember. The new girl, McKenna Wright, and Eloise Summers had also found their way to the Troubletones rehearsal, followed by Avalon's step-brother-to-be, Roman Tate. That brought the number of members to a convenient ten.

Shelby had booked the auditorium for practice, so everyone sat in a circle on the stage, waiting for her. Shelby arrived five minutes later holding a cup of coffee.

"Welcome, everyone!" Shelby exclaimed.

Everyone turned to look at her.

"We're going to get right into things. Sectionals is next month, and I've entered us into it." Shelby explained, 'Are there any questions?'

Austen raised his hand, 'Who are our competition.'

"Uhm... one second," Shelby muttered, searching through a pink folder with a star on the front, 'Ah, here it is. You'll be competing against the New Directions and the Dalton Academy Warblers.'

Austen's head dropped, 'We're screwed.'

"That's not the spirit!" Shelby said, pulling some sheets out of her bag, 'Alright, stand up. I'd like to get a feel of who the best singers here are.'

*Several Hours of Rehearsal Later*

Austen Fischer's POV:

Austen bid farewell to Avalon and climbed into his car. He made the half hour drive to Dalton Academy and walked inside.

Austen arrived outside of Ryan's dorm room and knocked on the door three times. Ryan had explained that he stayed at Dalton sometimes if he was there late with the Warblers.

Ryan answered the door wearing a pair of sweat-pants and a white vest. Ryan motioned for Austen to come in.

Austen strolled inside, toed off his shoes and collapsed onto the bed.

"Tired?" Ryan asked.

Austen nodded and Ryan laughed.

"I found out who we're up against for Sectionals." Austen groaned.

"Who?" Ryan asked.

"You... and the New Directions." Austen replied.

Austen had already explained the whole Troubletones thing to Ryan. Actually, Ryan was the one who convinced him to switch.

"Hmm, it's weird to think that only one of us will win, isn't it?" Ryan said.

Austen nodded and Ryan sat down next to him. Austen snuggled into him and Ryan smiled.

"You act as if we're a couple." Ryan laughed.

"Aren't we?" Austen asked.

Ryan's face dropped and he stood up. Austen sat up confusedly.

"What's wrong?" Austen asked.

"Uhm... look. You're great and everything... but I have a lot on my plate right now. Between college applications, school, the Warblers, Lacrosse... I don't think I have time for a relationship right now." Ryan explained.

Austen nodded understandingly, 'I know what you mean. I have something I'd like to propose.'

Ryan looked at him and pulled on a hoodie.

"What if we do all the couple stuff," Austen explained, 'But we aren't actually dating. But we don't do anything with anyone else.'

Ryan turned his head, 'So like... friends with benefits?'

Austen nodded, 'If you want to call it that.'

Ryan looked down at the floor and Austen got up and stood behind him. Austen wrapped his arms around him and lay his head on his shoulder.

"I'm not gonna lie, I want a relationship between us. But, if this is the best we can do, then I'm willing to live with it." Austen said.

"Can I think about it?" Ryan asked.

Austen nodded and shoved his shoes on, 'Text me.'

Austen closed the door behind him and sighed. He removed his phone from his pocket and rang Zachary.

Austen had rang him after Ryan left on Thursday. He'd apologised for everything, and Austen forgave him. They'd spent hours talking on the phone and Austen had asked him for advice on what to do about Ryan.

(Austen Zachary)

How did it go?

It went how you said it would.

I told you! I have a knowledge for these kinda things.

Yeah, yeah. I played it cool though.

What did you say?

I told him that I wanted to be with him, but I'll settle for whatever. And then he asked if he could think about it.

Continue.

I nodded and said 'text me'. Then I left.

Ohhh, nice!

Thanks. I better go, I'll talk to you tomorrow.

Charlotte Hudson's POV:

Charlotte arrived at the cemetery and opened the rusting gate. She walked along the long line of graves until she arrived at a polished tombstone that read 'RIP Finn Hudson', among other things.

Charlotte sat down on the grass beside the tombstone and brushed her hair behind her ears. She always came here when things were stressful, and now that it was definite that her parent's weren't returning, she had a house and two children to take care of.

"Hey Finn," Charlotte began, 'I know it's been a while... but everything's been a bit much lately. Mom and Dad still haven't come home, and I think Champ is coming down with something. My grades haven't been the best either.'

Charlotte looked down at the grass and wiped away a stray tear before continuing, 'I miss you so much. I miss not having you around to make fun of. And I miss your voice telling me off for doing stupid things. I miss that look you always used to get on your face when you didn't understand something.'

Charlotte thought she heard someone behind her. She turned around, and when she didn't see anyone, she continued, 'I've been in contact with Kurt... and Rachel. They said they'd visit soon. Santana is good. She doesn't really like me though. I can't say I blame her. I must remind her of you, and I know how much you meant to her.'

Charlotte couldn't contain the tears that were now streaming down her face uncontrollably, 'Every day I wake up and cry when I realise that you're not here anymore... I know it's been a few years now... but... it's hard. Mr. Schuester... I mean Will, has really been looking out for me. I can tell he misses you.'

Charlotte heard someone sniff and whipped her head around. She narrowed her eyes at Puck and Quinn as they emerged from behind a tree. She stood up and crossed her arms. She'd only talked to Puck once or twice, so she hasn't gotten to know him very well. Same with Quinn.

"How long have you two been standing there?" Charlotte asked.

Puck looked down at the ground and Quinn had an apologetic look on her face.

"From the start." She admitted.

"I don't like people eavesdropping on me." Charlotte said.

"I know, we're sorry." Puck said.

Charlotte's face softened and she uncrossed her arms, 'Is there anyone else hiding behind there?'

Quinn laughed, 'No.'

"How are you doing, Charles?" Puck asked.

Charlotte smiled slightly at the nickname and looked up at him. Charlotte noticed that he had his left arm wrapped tightly around Quinn's waist.

"Fine, thanks." Charlotte lied.

Quinn looked at her, 'Puck, I think I left my purse in the car, could you grab it?'

Puck opened his mouth to protest, but one look from Quinn and he was already half-way back to the car. Quinn took a step towards Charlotte.

"Charles-"

"Charlotte."

Quinn frowned, 'Charlotte, I'm an expert at bottling up my emotions. I can tell when people are lying. What's going on?'

Charlotte's eyes began to water, 'Nothing.'

"Charlotte, please."

"I said nothing!" Charlotte screamed.

Quinn looked taken aback. Charlotte shoved past her and ignored Puck as she exited the cemetery and ran home.

Wednesday 11th November:

Austen Fischer's POV:

Austen glanced at his phone as Avalon sat down beside him in the cafeteria.

"He still hasn't contacted you?" She asked.

Austen sighed and shook his head.

"Well, then he isn't worth it in my opinion," Avalon admitted, taking an orange out of her bag, 'It's been two days. He's had long enough to think.'

Austen looked up at her, but he didn't reply.

"I think you and Blake were kinda cute together." Avalon said.

"I already told you what happened," Austen replied, 'Anyway, you haven't even seen Ryan.'

"From your description of him, he sounds like trouble." Avalon said, popping an orange segment into her mouth.

"How?" Austen asked.

"Well, he sounds perfect. Or, at least that's how you described him," Avalon said, 'And from my experience, people who seem perfect never are.'

"And how does that make him trouble?"

Avalon shrugged, 'He could be just like Blake.'

"He's not." Austen said firmly.

"How do you know?" Avalon said, 'He could be with someone right now for all you know.'

"He's not like that, Av." Austen sighed.

Avalon and Austen had grown extremely close, and after what happened with her and Aaron, she'd become a lot more wary of who she trusted.

Avalon just shrugged and continued eating her orange. Abby and Lindsay arrived at their table and sat down across from them.

"Hey girls." Avalon greeted them.

Ever since Lindsay had told everyone about Tayla and Aaron, Avalon seemed to become a lot closer to her. Abby had apparently been demoted to side-kick ever since Lindsay's rise to popularity.

Abby and Lindsay nodded at the two of them and removed their lunch from their bag.

Lindsay turned to Austen, 'So how are things with Ryan?'

Surprisingly, Lindsay had been okay with Austen having feelings for Ryan.

"Good." Austen replied.

"Have you had sex yet?" Abby asked.

Lindsay punched her arm, 'Oh my god, Abby. You can't just ask him if they've had sex yet!'

Abby scowled and rubbed her arm.

"I need to talk to you two." Lindsay said.

She turned to Abby and Abby left the table.

"Okay, the Prom Committee met yesterday and we've just put the finalisations onto the Christmas Dance." Lindsay squealed.

Avalon screeched with excitement and Austen laughed.

"Anyway, guess who just asked me to go with him." Lindsay said.

Austen zoned out of the rest of the conversation and thought about what Avalon had said about Ryan. He decided he'd done enough waiting. He politely excused himself from the table, grabbed his phone and his bag and left the cafeteria.

He dialed Ryan's number and prayed that he'd answer.

(Ryan Austen)

Hello?

Hey, it's Austen.

Oh, hey!

So have you thought about that... thing?

I have. Sorry I haven't gotten back to you! I've been really busy.

It's fine.

Anyway, I decided that... yeah, I'd like what you suggested.

Austen jumped with joy and grinned.

Great! I mean.. cool... yeah. Wanna come over tonight?

I can't. I have Warbler's practice. How about Friday?

Sounds good! See you then.

Austen hung up the phone and smiled to himself.

"You don't know what you're getting yourself into."

Austen spun around and glared at Blake as he walked towards Austen.

"I'd appreciate if you didn't spy on me." Austen spat.

"I'm just looking out for you," Blake replied, 'Ryan's trouble.'

"Why does everyone keep saying that?"

"Because it's true! He wants one thing and one thing only, Austen." Blake tried.

Austen scoffed, 'That's rich coming from you.'

"He's a Senior, Austen." Blake said.

"And?"

"He's going to college next year, and I know Ryan well enough to know that he wants to get out of Lima." Blake said, 'He'll leave you here all alone.'

Austen looked down at the floor.

"Whereas, I'll be here for you." Blake said, putting a hand on Austen's arm.

Austen shoved his hand off and began to walk away. Blake didn't try to stop him.

Aaron Kim's POV:

"Avalon, wait!"

Aaron chased after Avalon as she sped down the halls.

"What?!" She screeched after a while.

"Can we please just talk?" Aaron begged.

Avalon scowled, 'No.'

"Please, Avalon," Aaron said, 'I love you.'

Avalon sighed, 'You cheated on me...'

"I was drunk, Avalon! I'm sorry, it'll never happen again." Aaron said.

"It shouldn't have happened in the first place." Avalon said firmly.

Aaron got down on his knees and begged, 'Please, Avalon.'

Avalon laughed, 'Stand up, you look pathetic.'

Aaron stood up, 'I love you...'

"You mentioned that." Avalon said before turning on her heels and continuing towards her History class.

*Later on that day*

Joshua Shapiro's POV:

Joshua caressed Zachary's face as he continued to make out with him. The pair had been a couple since late October, but they'd kept it to themselves.

"Zach?" Joshua asked after they'd finished.

"Yeah?" Zachary said, wrapping an arm around Joshua as they watched America's Next Top Model.

"When are we gonna tell people... about us?" Joshua asked.

Zachary muted the TV and turned to face Joshua, 'I don't think I'm ready yet.'

"Well, when will you be? I mean, everyone already knows your gay." Joshua said.

"I'll make a deal with you," Zachary said, 'How about we go to the Christmas Dance together, and we make it official then?'

Joshua smiled and buried his face into Zachary's chest, 'Okay.'

Zachary un-muted the TV and ran his hand down Joshua's back as Joshua dozed off.

Thursday 12th November:

Valery Crane's POV:

Valery arrived outside the choir room an hour before she was meant to be in class. She walked inside and grinned when she spotted Santana sitting in the corner of the room on her phone.

Valery walked up to her and planted a kiss on her cheek. Santana smiled.

"You're late." Santana teased.

"Well, maybe I wouldn't have to come in so early if you weren't afraid of people finding out about us." Valery replied, sitting down next to Santana.

Santana smiled as Valery lay her head on her shoulder, 'I just want to take things slow. I came out of a serious relationship earlier this year.'

"You mean with that dumb blonde?"

"Do I sense a hint of jealousy?" Santana laughed.

Valery smirked, 'I don't know what you're talking about.'

"So, are you going to the Christmas Dance?" Santana asked, shoving her phone in her pocket.

"I will if you come with me." Valery said.

"It's strictly for students, Val."

Valery groaned.

"You should go without me," Santana said, 'It'll be fun.'

Just then, the choir room door opened and a tall, beautiful girl with blonde hair walked inside. Santana shrieked and jumped up from her seat.

"Quinn!" Santana wrapped the girl in a huge hug, 'Why didn't you tell me you were coming?'

"I thought I'd surprise you!" Quinn said, 'It feels so good having the Unholy Trinity together again, doesn't it?'

Santana's face fell, 'What do you mean?'

The door burst open and, to Valery's dismay, Brittany S. Pierce walked in.

"Ahhhh!" She screamed running towards Quinn and Santana.

Santana narrowly avoided being wrapped into a huge group hug and sat back down next to Valery.

"Who's this?" Brittany asked, scowling at Valery.

"My friend-"

"Girlfriend." Valery added.

Quinn smiled at the pair and Brittany narrowed her eyes at Valery.

"What's your problem?" Valery asked.

"Val." Santana warned.

Valery sighed and stood up, 'I better go. It was nice meeting you, Quinn.'

Valery made sure to shove Brittany on her way out.

So I've given a lot more attention to Valery, Zachary, Joshua and Charlotte in this chapter. I'm really trying to get every character involved, but it's not easy!

I hope you enjoyed! Leave a review if you have the time:)
