After competing in the Unova League Ash Ketchum is invited to the greatest competition the Pokemon world has ever seen. Now with the help of his friends Ash will train harder then every before to face old allies, new challenges, and greater battles then he every has before. Pokémon: The Prism League Chapter 12: Princesses of The Prism League

The morning sunlight shinned through the curtains of Ash hotel room, the Pallet Town trainer had opted to take a much needed day off from training and was falling back into his old habit of sleeping in while Pikachu laid snoring curled up next to his trainer. Sitting atop the sheets was Riolu who appeared to be meditating but was in fact sleeping, Riolu had taken to sitting near Ash when he slept in order to help strengthen their aura connection just as he was doing now. Each of the room's occupants were in a peaceful slumber until.

"ASH GET UP!" Brock shouted bursting into Ash's room causing Pikachu and Riolu to cry out in fright as they were awakened from their dreams and fell off the bed while Ash merely groaned. "Ash come on we've got to go!" Brock said frantically.

"Brock I'm taking the day off remember." Ash grumbled turning to the other side of his bed away from the breeder.

"Ash do you know what today is?" Brock asked with urgency.

"No, and if it's not the day the Prism League starts I don't care." Ash said pulling a pillow over his head.

"Then take a look!" Brock grabbed the calendar Ash had been keeping on his nightstand to keep track of the days left until the Prism League then took the pillow from Ash's head and shoved the calendar in his face.

Ash's eyes were less then half way open and blurry from sleep but he still managed to find the day marked as today and looked at the date. "WHAT! Ash's eyes shot open. "Why didn't you tell me that in the first place!" Ash jumped out of bed and began throwing on his cloths as fast as he could.

"I tried to tell you!" Brock defended himself.

"Alright we got to go now!" Ash returned in such a rush that it was a surprise he had remembered to put his pants on. Ash scooped up Pikachu and Riolu and was out the door with Brock.

Out in the hallway Ash found many of his friends in just as much of a rush as he had been in. Max came from his room not wearing his glasses and not stopping to take them from his pocket. Barry was frantically looking down both sides of the hall trying to think of the fastest way out. Sparky was bouncing atop Ritchie's shoulder as said trainer hoped down the hall on one foot trying to put his shoe on the other. Cilan burst from his room fumbling to tie his bowtie.

"Ash, Brock we gotta get out of here!" Tracy said running up to the trainer and breeder.

"Tell us something we don't know!" Brock replied.

Ash, Brock, Max, Cilan, Tracy, Ritchie and Barry made a brake for the stairs running into Gary, Stephan and Luke on the next floor and Virgil, Morrison, Rafe and Sid on the fallowing floor. On the way down the group ran into a once again uninformed Cameron who only needed to be told the date to understand the urgent need to leave.

The boys reached the lobby and made a mad dash for the door. "Almost home free." Ash said as the doors slid open. The boys made it outside only to find there path blocked by Misty, May, Dawn, Iris, Molly, Bianca(Johto), Zoey, Bianca(Unova), Casey, Audrey, Kathryn and Rebecca.

"Ahhhhhhh!"

"Morning boys." Misty said extra cheery.

"We thought we were going to have to get you all out of bed." Said May.

"Yeah but it looks like your all ready to go." Said Dawn.

The boys slowly backed away from the girls as if they were hungry predators. "We head inside then go out the back." Brock said in a hushed tone.

"Right." the rest of the guys nodded. once they were close enough they turned to the door as it slide open but this time in their way was Mrs. Ketchum.

"Mom!" Ash said shocked being reminded that his mother and Professor Oak had arrived on the island last week.

"Good morning kids." Delia said brightly.

"Good morning Mrs. Ketchum." The girls replied happily while the guys said it nervously.

"So what do you all have planned for today?" Delia asked.

"We were all going into town to do some shopping." Misty informed.

"I think that's a wonderful idea, Ash why don't you and your friends go with them." Delia looked to the boys.

"Well Mom we're actually going."

"Now Ash I know you fine young men wouldn't leave these ladies to do all their shopping by themselves." Delia said smiling warmly but giving off a frightening aura.

"Master your mother's aura has taken a very dramatic change." Riolu relayed to Ash.

"Thanks Riolu I hadn't noticed." Ash said clearly frightened by his mother just as the rest of the guys were. "Alright Mom, we'll go with them." Ash said shaking.

"Great, then you kids have fun today." Delia wished the teens well.

"Oh we will!" Misty said dragging Ash and Brock by their arms.

"Thanks Mrs. Ketchum!" Iris said pulling Cilan.

"Well be back later." Bianca(Johto) said as she pulled Tracy along.

"Hope you boys are ready." May said with Ritchie and Gary in her grip. Followed by Dawn dragging Barry, Molly pulling Max, Casey pushing Morrison along, Bianca(Unova) pulling Virgil and Cameron, Zoey bringing Stephan and Luke while Audrey and Kathryn pulled their brother and Rebecca shoving Sid.

A look of utter hopelessness was plastered on each of the guys faces. "The worst day of the year just had to be today." Ash whined. "It's the."

"PRINSESS FESTIVAL!" The girls cheered shooting the fists to the sky. "TODAY THE WOMAN RULE!"

The Princess Festival a holiday celebrating girls and women everywhere. During the festival every store become a bargaining dream with all kind of cloths and toy for sale with drastic discounts, if your a woman, as for men, you get to carry the bags. The very situation Ash and his friends found themselves in.

Ash, the guys and even Pikachu, Riolu, Sparky and Piplup. stood with looks of total agony on their faces. Their arms were filled with bags, boxes and what ever else the girls could get their hands into.

"I'll take some of these." Misty said coming past the guys and put two more boxes on the pile in Brock's arms.

"Be careful with this." May advised as she placed more bags on Max's shoulders.

"Hold on to this for me." Zoey said giving Gary another bag.

"I'll buy this for sure." Iris said then threw another box to Cilan.

"This is the best." Molly said with glee giving Ash two more bags.

"I can't believe these discounts." Bianca(Johto) said sliding another bag on to Cameron's arm.

"It's a shopper's paradise." Dawn said and gave Tracy another bag.

"We'll take two of these." Audrey and Kathryn said adding two boxes to Rafe's arms.

"I could do this forever." Bianca(Unova) said giving more boxes to Virgil.

"Me to." Casey agreed said throwing a bag to Stephan.

"Hang in there boys we've got a lot of stores to go." Rebecca advised giving Sid her next package.

After leaving one store the group returned to the streets with the girls looking to find what store they wanted to go to next while the guys discussed their misfortune.

"Of all the days it had to be the day we were surrounded by girls." Ash whined both from his annoyance and the pain in his arms from the countless bags and boxes he carried. "Today's the one day that tomboys like Misty and Zoey actually act girly."

"It was bad enough when it was just my sister." Max groaned.

"I know what you mean." Rafe agreed.

"I can't belive how much shopping one girl can do, let alone twelve." Said Ritchie.

"All of them together should be declared a threat to male safety." Said Brock who was to tired to even try and flirt with any of the other girls filling the streets.

"This makes me glad I never had a sister." Gary said annoyed.

"Me to." Barry grumbled.

"This is getting ridicules." Stephan referred to the mountain of packages each male carried.

"We passed ridicules when Ash called out Torterra." Tracy said looking over his shoulder to the large grass type following the group with its shell covered in bags some even hanging from its tree and a look of exhaustion on it's face.

"Tyson, Nando and Harrison were the smart ones to leave earlier." Morrison said envying the other three trainers.

"Yeah no surprise Trip, Conway and Paul were gone to." Ash grumbled.

"They must have gotten up at dawn to have left before the girls woke up." Said Cameron.

"Complaining about it won't do any good so lets just try and make it through this in one piece." Said Luke.

"That could be a challenge on its own." Said Virgil.

"Lets go boys we found another sale." Dawn called to the guys who all groaned in agony.

"We're done for." Sid sighed.

After hours of shopping the group stopped for lunch with everyone sitting at one giant table, the girl's side was filled to the edges with sweets, deserts and other assorted foods while the guy's side had little more then drinks.

"Is that all you guys are having?" Molly asked helping herself to a sundae.

"Guys have to pay double since girls don't pay at all." Max informed them a little bitterly.

"Oh yeah sorry." Molly apologized then returned to her desert.

"Man how much can you girls eat?" Barry asked rhetorically.

"Well when we get to eat for free plenty." Dawn replied.

"I wish every day could be Princess Festival Day." Misty said with sparkles in her eyes as she was enjoying a piece of strawberry cake.

"That'd be like a dream come true." Said May fantasizing the idea.

"For girls maybe, for guys it'd be their worst nightmare come to life." Ash complained.

"Ash your such a kid." Said Iris.

"Iris, Ash thinking that doesn't makes him a kid it makes him a guy." Brock pointed out agreeing with Ash's statement.

"I must agree, while this holiday does seem sweet to females, it does leave men with a more bitter taste." Said Cilan.

"You guys just don't understand how great this holiday is." Said Bianca(Unova).

"Bianca(Unova) the reasons why this holiday is great for girls are all the reasons guys don't like it." Stephan explained.

"I don't get it." Bianca(Unova) tilted her head in confusion.

"Well I say after we eat then get back to more Shopping." Dawn suggested.

"Yeah!" All the girls agreed.

"Oh no." Every male groaned.

"Fascinating." Riolu thought.

"What is it Riolu?" Ash asked the aura using Pokémon.

"All the females in the vicinity are generation an abnormally happy aura while all the males are feeling great anguish and hoplessness, it's as though the females have taken the male's positive energy." Riolu explained his interest.

"That's one way to put it." Ash sighed.

The next sale proved to be the most vicious yet. All throughout the store women crowed around piles of cloths doing anything and everything they had to in order to get what they wanted. While the girls were in a battle royal for cloths the guys were out of the action waiting on a bench.

"This is insane." Ash said watching the mayhem.

"This is ridicules." Gary said seeing the same sight.

"This is bargain shopping." Brock said simply.

"No this is bargain shopping with girls." Tracy corrected.

"They all sound the same to me." Said Max.

"I've never seen such ferocious drive in the simplicity of shopping." Cilan said watching the girls continue to battle over cloths.

"Your not kidding, battles are competitive but shopping is blood thirsty." Morrison stated.

"If the prize for winning the Prism League was a shopping spree there wouldn't be a single guy left by the time the first round was over." Ritchie thought aloud.

"OH MAN I'M GONNA FINE WHOEVER CAME UP WITH THIS DUMB HOLIDAY!" Barry proclaimed.

"Oh man I'm going to need a doctor after carrying all these bags." Stephan said cracking his stiff neck.

"My arms are gonna fall of before today's over." Cameron said rubbing his throbbing arms.

"I should make a documentary on the dangers of the Princess Festival." Luke sighed.

"There's plenty of them, guys straining themselves carrying bags, fights in stores over cloths and guys staving cause the girls get all the good food." Sid listed off the cons of the festival.

"In short it's one big disaster." Rafe crossed his arms.

"I've seen plenty of disasters but even I can't handle this." Said Vergil before all the guys gave one last sigh of hopelessness.

The girls fought tooth and nail grabbing every piece of clothing that caught their eye blouses, skirts, dresses, shoes and anything else they could grab. "Hey this is perfect." Misty said seeing a white blouse with a blue pokeball symbol on it. As Misty's hand made contact with the blouse a dozen others met hers. May, Dawn, Iris, Bianca(Johto), Molly, Bianca(Unova), Zoey, Casey, Rebecca Audrey and Kathryn had grabbed ahold of the blouse along the seemingly out of nowhere Georgia and Burgundy. A look of intense focus could be seen in every girl's eyes as they a looked to one another. The guys saw the standoff and each of their stomachs dropped as they knew what was about to happen.

"I SAW IT FIRST!" Each of the girls began pulling the end of the desired clothing they held fighting for ownership.

"I saw it first!" Misty shouted.

"No you didn't I did!" May shot back.

"Well I grabbed it first!" Said Zoey.

"Molly why do you want it, it wouldn't even fit you?" Dawn asked the younger girl.

"I'll grow in to it!" Molly defended herself.

"Drop it you two there's no why it would fit over those oversized hairdos of yours!" Georgia remarked.

"Well it would never fit over your giant ego!" Iris and Bianca(Johto) retaliated together.

"This is ridicules I was here first! Rebecca argued.

"No WE were!" Audrey and Kathryn said from both sides of Rebecca.

"Casey I thought you only liked things with stripes." Bianca(Unova) said to the Electabuzz fan.

"Doesn't mean I can't have some change ups in my wardrobe." Said Casey.

"I think not, clothing this fine is suited only for moi!" Burgundy interrupted.

As the girls fought for the blouse the guys watched with looks of shock, confusion and fear. "This is getting real ugly real fast." Ash said urgently.

"I agree Master I do sense something very dangerous in all the females aura." Riolu told his trainer.

"Thanks Riolu I hadn't noticed that." Ash said sarcastically as all the girls were surrounded by a fiery aura clear to even none aura users. "Lets get out of here!" With no objections and the girls distracted the guys made a break for the door rushing outside away from what could be imminent doom.

"Man that was close." Barry said breathing heavily as the guys waited just outside the store.

"I never thought I'd die because of shopping." Cameron groaned.

"With my sister I've always known shopping would get me killed." Max said pushing his glasses up.

"Mine to." Rafe agreed.

"This whole holiday is gonna get us killed." Ash said leaning against Torterra who had been waiting outside. "I'd give anything for this day to end."

"Couldn't agree more." Said a familiar voice.

"Paul." The group said turning to see one of the few guys absent this morning.

"Looks like you guys have had it ruff." Paul said sympathetically.

"Thanks for noticing." Gary said sarcastically.

"Yeah you try being a bag boy for a bunch of girls." Said Stephan.

"No thanks I've seen enough of that today." Paul declined.

"Well if you hadn't left as early as you did then you'd be living it with us." Brock warned.

"Glad I did then." Paul replied.

"You might be the one guy who hasn't had to deal with this Princess Festival stuff." Said Tracy.

"I wouldn't say that, I went to the Battle Club here in town and it turns out guys aren't allowed to battle today

"Why's that?" Ash asked.

Paul was about to answer when a chime was heard over the city wide PA system. "That's why."

"Attention, registration for the Prism Princess competition is about to begin, all who wish to participate please report to the Battle Club." As the announcement ended a herd of woman flooded out of the store trampling the guys with the exception of Paul who stepped out of the way at the last second.

The guys groaned pulling themselves up from the ground. "I'm not sure how much more of this I can take." Ash hissed in pain.

"Alright guys let's get a move on." Misty said coming out of the store with the rest of the girls then shoved their bags and boxes back into the guy's arms.

"Is this ever going to end!" Cameron whined.

"Well I'll see you guys around." Paul turned to leave but was blocked by the girls.

"Perfect timing Paul." Dawn said then put a few boxes in Paul's arms.

"Yeah, the guys couldn't carry much more." May said giving Paul her bags.

"We were worried that we'd have carry them ourselves." Zoey said adding to Paul's load.

"It sure was nice of you to help out." Molly gave Paul a few more bags leaving no more room for Paul to carry anything.

Paul stood with a look of shock and confusion at what had just happened. The rest of the guys couldn't help but snicker at how the normally forceful teen had been swiftly overwhelmed by the girls just as they had been. Paul face changed to total annoyance as the situation had finally hit him. "HOW DID I GET DRAGGED INTO THIS!"

At the local Battle Club stadium hundreds of fans were filling the stands while outside the girls were registering. "This is gonna be awesome." Misty said enthusiastically as she handed in her entry form.

"You got that right." May agreed handing hers in.

"I can't wait to get started!" Said Bianca(Unova).

"Me nether this is going to be my first official battle ever!" Molly said with unrivaled excitement.

"Well I'm ready to go right now." Zoey said eagerly.

"Me to, I'm ready for anything." Said Dawn.

"I hope your ready to be humiliated." Said a voice that sent a cold feeling down Dawn's spine and a sickening feeling through Zoey's stomach.

"Oh no, tell me that's not who I think it is." Dawn groaned.

"Piplup Pip Pip Lup." (Don't let it be her.) Piplup said from Dawn's arms.

"I wish I could but I can't." Zoey and Dawn both looked behind them and found a girl with peach-colored hair wearing a turquoise dress and a white sweater. "Ursula!"

"Nice to see you haven't forgotten me." Ursula said smugly.

"What are you doing here?" Dawn asked.

"Clueless as always Dawn, how could this battle be called the Prism Princess competition if a true princess wasn't here." Ursula said then laughed confidently while the other girls looked at her bewildered and annoyed. "But then I found you here and thought why not ruin Dawn's day while I'm at it."

"You haven't changed at all." Zoey said as her patience for the other girl was growing thinner.

"Why change something that's already perfect." Ursula stated more then asked.

"We've got different ideas of perfect." Dawn spoke up.

"I wouldn't expect you to know perfection, not with your contest routines." Ursula smirked.

"Well last time I cheeked my routines beat yours ever time!" Dawn shot back.

A scowl covered Ursula's face as she lost her cool. "You made the clock work for you and had some dumb luck, but there's no time limit to save you this time."

"We'll see about that." Dawn defended.

"Lup Piplip." (That's right.) Piplup said starring down Ursula with his trainer.

"I guess we will." Ursula said smugly as she turned to leave.

"She's defiantly no princess, more like a witch." Zoey said with contempt for the arrogant girl.

"Who was that?" Iris asked.

"That was Ursula, my pain in the neck." Dawn answered.

"I guess everyone has that one rival they're never happy to see." Iris said quickly understanding it was not a friendly rivalry.

"Don't worry about her, we've got more important things to do." Misty advised.

"Right." Dawn agreed before the girls entered the stadium.

Waiting in the stands Ash sat with Pikachu and Riolu excited for the break from shopping and seeing some good battles. Along with Ash and his friends sat a pouting Bianca(Johto). "Come on Bianca it's not that bad."

"It's completely unfair that Latias and Latios aren't allowed in this competition." Bianca(Johto) replied upset that the pokemon she had planned to use were not permitted.

Ash gave his friend a sympathetic smile when he noticed the girls heading out on to the field. "Here they come."

The girls entered to find the stands filled with hundreds of cheering spectators. At the center of the field stood two people the first was the manager of the Battle Club Don George. "Welcome ladies and gentlemen to todays main event the Prism Princess competition, I'm your host Don George and joining me is the sponsor for this event, the Queen of Battle herself the lovely miss Cynthia!" Beside Don George stood the Sinnoh Champion dressed in her casual attire as appose to her usual Champion outfit.

"Oh Cynthia my dear how I've missed you!" Brock shouted from up in the stands. "The title Queen of Battle does you no justice for you're the Queen of my hearahhh!" Brock's declaration of love was silenced by a Poison Jab from Crogunk who this time left his trainer slumped over the railing of the stands.

"How does he keep getting up after that?" Cameron asked astonished seeing the breeder take another Poison Jab.

"Beats me, I wonder why he never sees it coming." Stephan told his friend.

Back on the field Cynthia had now taken the mic. "Welcome everyone to what is sure to be a spectacular event, today's winner will be crowned the Prism Princess and receive a collection of evolutionary items consisting of a Firestone, Waterstone, Thunderstone, Leafstone, Moonstone, Sunstone, Shinystone, Duskstone, Dawnstone, Ovalstone and Everstone." Up on the stadium's big screen was a display of all the items Cynthia had listed.

"Wow it'd be awesome to win that." May said staring at the screen.

"Yeah now I really want to win." Dawn agreed.

"Me to." Said Casey.

"Well I want to get started." Misty said eagerly.

"And now without further delay let us begin!" Cynthia announced before the arena erupted with cheering.

"Now our sixteen lovely competitors will face off in our first round matchups." Don George informed the crowd as the pictures of all sixteen girls appeared on the big screen. The pictures began to shuffle on then screen then showed each individual match.

"The first battle is Zoey VS Georgia!"

"Looks like I'll have to save that Dragon Master loser Iris for later." Georgia huffed.

"You have to get by me first." Zoey said confidently.

"The second battle will be Lena VS Bianca(Unova)!"

"So my opponent's Lena." Said Bianca.

"The third battle will be Molly VS Burgundy!"

"Alright I finally get to battle!" Molly cheered.

"How bland, facing someone so unrefined as to take evaluations from Cilan." Burgundy smirked while Molly pouted at the comment.

"We'll see who's unrefined." Molly told the older girl.

"Match number four is Misty VS Dawn!"

"I hope your ready for one tough battle Misty." Dawn told her friend.

"Always ready." Misty replied.

"Battle five will be Casey VS May!"

"Best of luck Casey." May turned to the Electabuzz fan.

"You to May, lets make the fifth inning a game changer." Casey replied using a baseball analogy.

"The sixth match will be Iris VS Rebecca!"

"I'm looking forward to a good battle Iris." Rebecca informed her opponent.

"So am I." The Unova trainer replied.

"Match seven is Kathryn VS Audrey!"

Both girls looked to one another shocked to think they would be battling one another which then changed to a look of eager anticipation while up in the stands Rafe could only face-palm. "This can't end well."

"And battle eight will be Melisa VS Ursula!"

Both girls looked at one another before turning away with a huff.

"The first round will begin shortly, trainers prepare your Pokémon!" Don George announced.

The girls left the field moving to the trainers seats to find the guys there waiting for them. "Looks like we've got some interesting matchups." Said Brock.

"You bet we do, I'm psyched to be battling Misty." Dawn was the first to reply.

"So am I, but don't think I'm going to hold back." Misty warned playfully.

"I wouldn't want it any other way." Dawn said confidently.

"Same goes for you May, lets give it our all." Said Casey.

"You don't have to tell me twice." May agree.

"And you better give it everything you got to Iris, I don't need you losing before we battle." Georgia ordered her rival.

"Why don't you worry about your own opponent first." Iris sighed.

"That's right cause your can't battle Iris unless you beat me and that's not happening." Zoey cut in.

"I couldn't care less about a Coordinator, I want a Dragon Master." Georgia demanded.

While the girls we're locked in pre battle dialog Ash was checking in with Molly. "How you feeling Molly?"

"I'm so excited, I finally get to battle for real!" Molly told Ash. "I couldn't be more ready!"

"That's what I like to hear, you just keep that confidence Molly and you've got this." Ash praised the girl's eagerness.

"Pika Pika Pi Pikachu!" (Go for it Molly!)

"Right."

"Tre disappointing that my opening performance will be wasted on someone so green." Burgundy interrupted Ash and Molly who both turned to shot her a glare.

"Well you'll be really disappointed when you lose." Molly responded not taking kindly to being written-off.

"My finely polished abilities could never lose to someone who suffers from such inexperience." Burgundy huffed while Molly pouted.

"I must disagree with you Burgundy." Cilan stepped in.

"Why am I not surprised you'd disregard a superior Connoisseur." The purple-haired girl accused.

"I'm not disregarding you, it's just that where you see inexperience I see potential for growth, and Molly's potential has been well nurtured under Ash's instruction." Cilan evaluated.

"That's right." Molly agreed backing up Cilan's evaluation and Ash's skills.

"I see so Ash taught her the recipes for battle." Burgundy gathered.

"Yep, if I wasn't training I was working with Molly every chance I got and I know she's got what it takes to win." Ash said surly bring a smile to Molly's face as she received further praise from her older brother figure.

Burgundy smirked hearing Ash's words. "Then this is the perfect chance to prove my evaluation of you as well Ash." Burgundy said confusing the Kanto teen. "Cilan you've praised both Ash and Molly in your evaluation while I've called their faults, if Molly has learned from Ash her skills in battle should be an extension of his."

"What are you purposing Burgundy?" Cilan asked.

"Should I win my battle both Molly and Ash are to exchange all of their Pokémon." Burgundy said catching everyone's attention leaving Ash and Molly in Shock. "If I defeat Molly then that will prove that my evaluation of them was right and yours was wrong."

"That's crazy." Dawn spoke up.

"Yeah no way Ash and Molly would give up their Pokémon." May said knowing both to love their Pokémon dearly.

"And just because you think they need to change their Pokémon is hardly a good reason." Brock reprimanded.

"Quite an interesting challenge Burgundy we accept." Cilan said confidently.

"What!" Everyone said in shock.

"Tre bien, I will finally prove to you that I am a greater Connoisseur than you'll ever be." Burgundy proclaimed.

"We'll certainly see." Cilan said before Burgundy walked off.

"Cilan why did you do that?" Iris was the first to come out of shock.

"I'm never one to turn down a challenge least of all from another Connoisseur." Cilan replied being grabbed by a furious Misty.

"IS YOUR BOWTIE TO TIGHT, YOUR RISKING OTHER PEOPLE'S POKEMON JUST TO HUMOR SOME BIGMOUTH WITH AN EGO!" Misty roared as she shook Cilan senselessly.

"Come on Misty take it easy." Tracy said as he and Brock pried Misty off of Cilan and held her back.

"Misty does have a point though you are risking Ash and Molly's Pokémon." Max agreed with the still growling redhead.

"I see little risk to be had in this battle." Cilan replied as he straightened his bowtie.

"Cilan's right we've got nothing to worry about." Ash said surprising everyone.

"Ash how could you not be worried?" Cameron asked shocked.

"Yeah you've spent the last sixteen months getting your team ready for the Prism League and now you could loss all of them before it even starts." Stephan reminded his friend.

"And in case you forgotten some of us wanted to battle you at you best not your worst." Paul added.

"While I trust your decision Master I do agree with you friends and would rather not be expelled from your team." Riolu told Ash through his aura.

"I'm not worried because I know Molly can beat Burgundy no problem, right?" Ash looked to Molly but saw the girl who moments before was bursting with energy now seem troubled.

"Competitors for the first match please take you places." Don George's voice rang through the stadium.

"Your up Zoey." Dawn told her friend.

"Start us out strong." Said May.

"You got it." Zoey winked to her friends before taking her position on the field.

"Now let us begin the first match." Don George said from the announcers table joined by Cynthia. "First we have the self-proclaimed one and only Dragon Buster Georgia!"

"Hey Iris, Bianca(Johto) hope you're ready to watch me win this." Georgia smirked while Iris and Bianca(Johto) scowled in anger at the Dragon Buster.

"And her opponent a Top Coordinator with passion as fiery as her hair, Zoey!" Don George announced pointing to the confident Snowpoint City Coordinator.

"Zoey best of luck." Dawn called to her fellow coordinator.

"Wipe the floor with her!" Bianca(Johto) demanded.

"No mercy Zoey, finish her quick." Iris said angrily.

"Nice to see you two supporting a friend." Max said sarcastically.

Zoey and Georgia took their places and released their Pokémon. "Glameow curtain!" Zoey called releasing her partner Pokémon a grey feline with a crescent shaped head with two white-tipped ears and a white muzzle with a spring-shaped tail that had white fluff on the tip.

"Who's that Pokémon?" Bianca asked taking out her pokedex to scan Zoey's Pokémon."Glameow, the Catty Pokémon, Glameow hides its spiteful tendency of hooking its claws into the nose of its Trainer if it isn't fed."

Georgia gave a slight hmph at Zoey's choice. "Lets see how you handle my Beartic!" from Georgia's pokeball came a bear that stood on its hind legs reaching eight feet tall with bluish white fur and giant forepaws with black claws.

"Wow that Pokémon's huge!" Ritchie said surprised as he and the others not familiar with the Unova Pokémon stared in aw of its size then took out his pokedex. "Beartic the Freezing Pokémon, Beartic freezes its breath to creat fangs and claws to fight with, cold northern areas are its habitat."

"Sounds scary." Said Casey.

"Yeah it's looks like this could be a tough battle for Zoey." Stephan observed.

Brock gave a slight chuckle. "I wouldn't be to worried."

"Yeah Zoey's got this one." Ash agreed.

"Really?" Stephan asked then looked to the field and saw Zoey had not even batted her eyes at the large Pokémon before her and Glamoew.

The referee took his place between both Pokémon. "Trainers ready, and begin!"

"Alright Beartic use Hidden Power!" Georgia commanded right away. Beartic form an orb of light green energy then fired it at Glameow fallowed by three more.

"Glameow dodge it." Zoey ordered. Glamoew charged ahead sidestepping the first three attack then jump over the last one in to the air.

"Beartic use Slash!" Beartic's claws began glowing white as it prepared to strike the still airborne feline.

"Double Team!" As Beartic's claw was about to hit Glameow's body flashed then split in two confusing Beartic, Gleameow continued to multiply around it's opponent until ten Glameows surrounded Beartic.

The large ice type looked from one Glameow to another in an attempt to find the real one. "Get it together Beartic and use Blizzard!" Georgia ordered. "Beartic opened its mouth and unleashed a powerful snow storm that blew across the field sweeping away the fake Glameow. "What!" Georgia cried as their were no more Glameow on the field.

"Now Shadow Claw!" Hearing Zoey's order Georgia scanned the field looking for their opponent when above Beartic she noticed the Coordinator's Pokémon coming down with its paws incased in shadows.

"Beartic above you!" Beartic looked up just in time to see Glameow take a swipe with its Shadow Claw landing a direct hit across Beartic's face. The ice type toppled over while Glameow landed gracefully on its feet.

"Wow that was awesome!" Cameron said in aw of Zoey's counter.

"Yeah it was, she countered every move Georgia made until she could attack." Said Vergil.

"She also had Glameow use its tail like a spring to dodge that blizzard, a smart strategy." Said Brock.

"There you have it folks Georgia starts out with back to back attacks but Zoey was ready for each of them." Don George commentated on.

"Yes an important lesson in battle is to hold off your attack until you find an opening, just as we saw Zoey demonstrate." Said Cynthia.

"Lets see how you like this, Beartic use Ice Beam!" Beartic opened its mouth and fired a beam of blue energy.

"Dodge that Glameow." Zoey advised her Pokémon. Glameow easy slipped by the attack that left a large chunk of ice were it had hit.

"I don't think so, keep up the pressure!" Georgia told her Pokémon who then fired another Ice Beam but this time fallowed Glameow with it leaving a trail of ice where it hit. As the beam closed in Glameow once again jumped into the air dodging it. "Now Icicle Crash!" Beartic took in a deep breath and releases a wind with light blue sparkles in it from its mouth into the air then small clumps of ice form in the wind and grow longer and larger, forming into sharp icicles that began raining down on Glamoew.

"Glameow!" Zoey cried out as the ice continued to fall on her partner Pokémon.

"And Georgia's attack land dead on this could be trouble for Zoey." Said Don George.

"Finally got you." Georgia smirked.

"Oh no you don't, Glamoew Fury Swipes!" Glameow reared up on its hind legs as its claws extended and began to glow white then with blinding speed shattering the icicles to bits with its claws leaving nothing but a mist of blue sparkles when through the mist came Beartic.

"Now Rock Smash!" Georgia ordered. Beartic's entire right arm glowed orange as it prepared to deliver a powerful punch.

"Iron Tail!" Glameow's tail became coated in metal but instead of unraveling it remanded coiled. As Beartic attacked Glamoew caught the punch with its tail which then shot it back like a spring throwing the larger Pokémon back and off balance. Glameow then unraveled its tail and dealt Beartic a powerful Iron Tail knocking it to its back.

"Using Glameow spring-like tail and Iron Tail as a defense was an ingénues idea clearly the mark of a excellent coordinator." Cynthia praised.

"Ingenues nothing, Beartic Ice Beam!" Georgia ordered angrily.

Glameow use Shadow Claw." Glameow's paws became covered in dark shadows which then shot forward through the Ice Beam striking Beartic.

"Seems like anything Georgia sends at her Zoey know how to send it right back." Misty said enticed by the battle.

"She sure does." Tracy agreed.

"There's no need to worry about Zoey." Said Dawn.

"This is getting really annoying, guess I'll have to end this." Georgia said to herself.

"You ready to go again?" Zoey asked across the field.

"Sure, you ready to lose?" Georgia smirked. "Beartic Superpower!"

"What?" Zoey gasped as the audience did.

A blue aura surrounded Beartic as it seemed to grow stronger then with a quick burst of speed caught Glamoew off guard then with one hand pick it up and through Glameow across the field.

"Glameow are you alright?" Zoey called to her Pokémon as she watched Glameow slowly pick itself up.

"Wow that did a lot of damage." Casey observed.

"Superpower is an extremely powerful attack and it's a fighting type move so against a normal type like Glameow it's even more effective." Brock explained.

"So Zoey could be in some real trouble now." May said a little worried.

"Yeah one more hit like that could end this battle." Ash stated.

Back on the field Zoey and Glameow stared attentively at the still glowing Beartic. "You ready Glameow?" Zoey asked her partner who gave meow of agreement.

"Alright Beartic finish this with one more Superpower!" Georgia commanded eagerly. Beartic glowed began glowing blue and charged Glameow. Beartic began swing swiping trying anything to strike Glameow who was dodging every attack.

"And Beartic goes on the offensive with its Superpower attack, Glameow is moving well out there but one slip and it could be all over." Don George continued to commentate.

"Is running the only trick you've got left?" Georgia smirked at Zoey.

"You'll just have to find out for yourself" Zoey shot a smirk of her own at the Dragon Buster.

"Fine then Beartic end this!" Beartic prepared for one last assault on Glameow who was now backed against a wall. Glameow stood its ground As Beartic closed in.

"This could be it." Dawn cried in worry as she and the others watched from the sideline.

Zoey smirked now seeing her chance "Glameow use Thunderbolt!" Glameow's body became surrounded in yellow sparks then fired a powerful bolt of yellow electricity from its body at Beartic hitting dead stopping Beartic in its tracks.

"No way!" Georgia said seeing her Pokémon's unmoving state.

"Ok Glameow lets finish this up with Thunder Shadow Claw." Zoey ordered. Glameow's paws became covered in shadows while its body was surrounded in yellow sparks which then transferred to the shadows extending them further with electricity. Glameow leapt at Beartic and gave two quick slashes with its electrified shadow encased claws then landed graceful while Beartic toppled over defeated.

"Beartic is unable to battle, Glameow is the winner and the match goes to Zoey!" The referee declared.

The crowd burst into applause at the Coordinators victory while Glameow rushed over to its trainer. "Glameow you where wonderful." Zoey said as she gave her partner Pokémon an affectionately pet.

Across the field Georgia was returning Beartic to its pokeball with a scowl which then turned to halfhearted smirk. "So what, it's not like I lost to a dragon type."

"There you have it Folks our first winner of round one is Zoey." Don George announced. "Cynthia your thoughts on the battle?"

"While Georgia's Beartic showed impressive strength Zoey's Glameow had greater agility and perfect timing allowing for quick and precise attacks." Cynthia explained.

"Zoey was awesome out there." Dawn cheered for her friend.

"Yeah she was, her moves were pretty impressive." Said Misty.

"That's Zoey for you, she gets the job done and gets it done with style." Brock praised.

"She certainly does her own zest to battle." Cilan evaluated.

"I'll say, that was a great show." Luke said from behind his camera.

"That actually wasn't a half bad battle." Paul admitted.

"I'm kind of glad we won't have to face her in the Prism League." Barry said relieved.

"She'd definitely be one tough competitor." Said Ritchie.

"Well I for one wouldn't mind battling her." Rafe admitted.

"Me to." Sid agreed.

As Zoey return to her friends the first to greet her was May. "Way to start us out strong Zoey."

"Way to go Zoey you put that big mouth in her place!" Said both Iris and Bianca(Johto) as they hugged Zoey.

"Thanks guys." Zoey replied while trying to breath in the bone crushing hug.

"After that battle the rest of use had better give it our all." Misty stated.

"Yep and I'm up next!" Bianca(Unova) announced.

"Good luck Bianca(Unova)." Said Ash.

"You've got this for sure." Stephan encouraged.

"Alright I'm ready." Bianca(Unova) said heading out on to the field.

"The next match is about to begin, first we have the energetic trainer Bianca and her Opponent Lena." Bianca's battle was settled quickly with her Emboar easily overpowering Lena's Aggron."

"Alright Molly your up next." Ash looked to Molly who had been unusually silent for the first two matches. "Hey is something wrong?"

"I don't think I can battle." Molly said solemnly.

"What!" everyone said surprised.

"Molly you've been dying to battle." May reminded.

"Yeah this is your chance to finally get out there." Said Dawn.

"I just don't think I can."

"Come on Molly what's the matter?" Ash questioned.

"Ash I can't do it, if I lose you and I will lose all of our Pokémon." Molly finally admitted.

"That's what this is about." Ash now understood.

"Cilan you see what excepting that stupid bet did, it's got Molly to nervous to battle now!" Misty growled once again about to strangle the Connoisseur.

"I'm sorry Misty, I simply thought that it would be a interesting Challenge." Cilan try to defend himself while in the water Pokémon Trainer's death grip.

"Molly just try to forget about that bet and focus on the battle." Iris suggested.

"I can't, if I lose it'll be all my fault that Ash and I lose our Pokémon." Molly said on the verge of tears.

"Then you've got nothing to worry about then." Ash said kneeling down to Molly's level placing his hand on her shoulders.

"Why?" Molly asked.

"Because all you have to do is win." Ash said simply.

"Besides if it's anyone's fault it's Cilan's!" Misty said still shaking the Connoisseur.

"But I don't know if I can win." Molly looked down not able to look Ash in the eye.

"Molly I've taught you everything you need to know about battling and your Pokémon have been training hard, all that you need now is to tell yourself that you can win."

"Chu Pika Pii Pii Chu." (You've got this for sure.) Pikachu added.

"I'm just so worried about losing our Pokémon." Molly admitted.

"I'm not, with you out there I know our Pokémon aren't going anywhere cause I know your gonna win." Ash encouraged.

Molly suddenly felt a new surge confidence hearing Ash's trust and belief. "You really mean that Ash?"

"Of course I do." Ash replied sincerely.

A bright smile return to Molly face. "Ok then, I'll go out there and win for the both of us."

"That's what I like to hear." Ash said before Molly went to take her place on the field.

"Ash you sure are calm about this." Barry stated.

"Yeah, your whole team is on the line." Morrison said frantically.

"It's like I said I've got no reason to be worried." Ash told his friends.

"Your putting a lot of faith in the kid." Paul said unconvinced.

"Sometimes putting your faith in someone is all it takes to make a big difference." Ash replied.

"I hope your right about that." Paul said turning to the field along with the others.

"Now for the third match, to my right is the Empress of evaluation and Pokémon Connoisseur Burgundy!"

"Finally I'll prove that arrogant fool Cilan wrong once and for all." Burgundy proclaimed.

"This girl sure likes to hear herself talk." Morrison said recalling his first encounter with Burgundy.

"Empress of annoying is more like it." Misty grumbled.

"She must not know what arrogant means." Ritchie suspected.

"And her opponent our youngest competitor Molly!"

After Don George finished their introductions both girl released their Pokémon. "Go Phanpy!" Molly called releasing a small blue elephant with two red pads on each of its ears and one across the bridge of its very long nose.

"How cute!" Bianca fawned at Molly's Pokémon before taking out her pokedex to scan it. "Phanpy the Long Nose Pokémon, Phanpy is strong despite its compact size and can easily pick up and carry an adult human on its back."

"Stand Dewott plu veet!" Burgundy released her Pokémon a blue bipedal otter-like Pokémon with small black ears, a pointed crest at the back of its head, a red nose, and long white whiskers forming tilted V-shapes, Around its waist is a large, dark blue fringed arrangement of fur, with two scalchops on the thighs.

"I wonder what that Pokémon is? Barry said to himself as he was about to use his pokedex. "Dewott the Discipline Pokémon, scalchop techniques differ from one Dewott to another and it will never neglect maintaining its scalchops."

"This could be a problem." Brock said grimly.

"It's Molly's ground type vs. Burgundy's water type." Tracy said understanding the Breeder's worries.

"That could be some real trouble." Stephan added.

"Alor, it is evaluating time s'il vous plait!" Burgundy declared in a bad French accent. "The compatibility between Dewott and myself is a dish served to perfection, while you and your Phanpy are nothing more than a appetizer without the slightest zest." Burgundy laughed triumphantly while Molly and Phanpy stared daggers at her.

"I must disagree with you Burgundy." Cilan interrupted Burgundy's laughter.

"How typical you'd believe my evaluation to be wrong!" Burgundy growled.

"Molly and Phanpy are an ideal match, both have room to grow allowing for great potential and underneath their endearing appearances lay a powerful desire to engage in battle." Cilan evaluated.

"Do Pokémon Connoisseurs ever just say what they mean?" Zoey asked confused.

"We've been wondering that for sixteen months now but I think the answer is no." Said May.

"Well I maintain that Molly is far to green and knows little of Pokémon." Burgundy replied to Cilan.

"I know that an S-class Connoisseur's evaluation is a lot better than a B-class Connoisseur's." Molly said pleased with herself when Burgundy became infuriated.

"Insolent brat, I'll simply have to show you why I'm superior to Cilan!"

"Trainers ready, and begin!"

"Share Dewott Ice Beam!" Burgundy ordered. Dewott jumped up then fired a beam of blue freezing energy.

"Dodge it Phanpy and use Take Down!" Molly called. Phanpy ducked under Dewott's attack then as its opponent landed Phanpy smashed into Dewott knocking the Discipline Pokémon off its feet. "Now use Defense Curl!" Phanpy then curled itself into a ball and became outline in a yellow aura. "Great that raised your defense."

"We'll see how well that defense hold up Dewott Fury Cutter!" Burgundy commanded then Dewott charged ran up to Phanpy who was still in a Defence Curl then with the tips of its claws glowing blue Dewott repeatedly slashes Phanpy with them, one after the other but seem to have no effect.

"Phanpy use Rollout!" Phanpy began spinning rapidly still curled up then shot forward knocking Dewott into the air. "Alright, now one more time!" Phanpy rolled around the field then just as Dewott was about to come down hit it with another Rollout.

"Dewott we can not allow ourselves to be beaten by these armatures, use Water Pulse!" Burgundy said as Dewott rose to its feet then A light blue orb of energy appears in front of its mouth and fired it at Phanpy.

"Quick use Defense Curl again!" Molly warned seeing the attack coming. Phanpy once again curled itself up raising it defense but took the attack head on knocking it back and out of it Defense Curl. "Phanpy are you ok?" Molly asked here pokemon who rose up showing no signs of slowing and gave a quick nod. "Great!"

"This battle is off to an impressive start, Dewott is showing some strong attacks out there but Phanpy is definitely no pushover." Don George commented.

"It was a smart move for Molly to have Phanpy use Defense Curl otherwise that Water Pulse would have done a lot more damage." Brock observed."

"Yeah so far Molly's doing good." May added.

"I told you guys there's nothing to worry about." Ash said surly.

"Things are looking good for your star student Ash." Gary admitted.

"lets just hope she can keep this up." Said Max.

"Now Dewott use Razor Shell!" Burgundy ordered. Dewott took both scalchops from its legs and both started to glow yellow and a light blue aura appears around them. The aura then stretched and hardened, forming into two curved blades of energy. Dewott then charge at Phanpy while swing its scalchops.

"Dodge them Phanpy!" Molly warned. Phanpy began moving back ducking and dipping to avoid the Razor Shells while Dewott chase after it continuing its attack.

"Your Phanpy is about to be served up as the main dish to your defeat by chief Dewott." Burgundy laughed.

"I don't think so, use Earthquake!" As Dewott was about to land a hit Phanpy jumped back landing on its hind leg then brought down its front legs with such force it shook the entire battlefield throwing Dewott off balance.

"I knew it'd be a good idea to teach Phanpy Earthquake." Ash said as he and the other felt the field shake.

"Now use Takedown!" Molly ordered. Phanpy charged the still shaky Dewott hitting it with a dead-on takedown.

Burgundy growled in frustration as Dewott was once again bested "I certainly do detect the same stale taste as in Ash's battle recipe." Burgundy huffed.

"Well Ash did teach me everything I know and that's why I know I'm gonna win!" Molly said with confidence matching said teacher.

"You tell her Molly." Misty encouraged.

"It seems I'll have to show you just how wrong you are!" Burgundy stated.

"Phanpy use Take Down!" Molly commanded.

"Dewott Revenge now!" Dewott became surrounded in an orange aura then unleashes a burst of orange energy from its body stopping Phanpy's Take Down and blowing it away.

"Phanpy!" Molly gasped.

"Oh man not Revenge!" Stephan said as the whole groups anxiety grew.

"What's Revenge?" Casey asked not being familiar with the attack.

"Revenge is an attack that doubles after the user takes a hit from its opponent." Brock explained.

"That's not good for Molly." Bianca(Unova) said worried.

"Molly if you loss this and cost Ash his Pokémon I'm gonna fine yoooo." Barry tried to say only to have Dawn cover his mouth."

That's the last she needs right now Barry!" Dawn scolded.

"Don't worry guys she'll be alright." Ash said with his confidence in Molly holding strong.

"Phanpy are you alright?" Molly asked as the ground type slowly picked itself up.

"You really should give up now." Burgundy said smugly.

"It'll take a lot more then that to make us quite." Molly proclaimed as Phanpy gave a growl of agreement.

"Very well then that's your mistake, Dewott Razor Shell." Burgundy said confidently.

"Phanpy use Rollout!" Phanpy curled itself into a ball and rolled towards Dewott with incredible speed while Dewott charged in with both its Razor Shells. Both Pokémon collided with Dewott crossing its blades in an x to try and push Phanpy back while Phanpy continued to roll on trying to overpower Dewott.

"Impossible how can you still match Dewott's strength after taking a direct hit from Revenge?" Burgundy said frustrated.

"Because Ash taught use sometimes all you have to do is tough it out, GO Phanpy!" Molly commanded. Phanpy began rolling faster pushing Dewott back more. The Discipline Pokémon pushed with all its strength in an attempt to stop Phanpy but continued to lose ground until its Razor Shell gave out allowing Phanpy to roll right into Dewott. "Way to go Phanpy!" Molly cheered.

"I think not, Dewott Water Gun!" Burgundy called her attack. With Phanpy still rolling Dewott fired a powerful stream of water from its mouth blasting Phanpy away. It would seem your roll is at an end." Burgundy baldy quipped as Dewott stood breathing heavily.

Ok Phanpy use Rock Tomb!" Phanpy rose up on its hind legs then came down on its front legs which then caused a small tremor around Dewott then a large rock erupted from underneath the water type knocking it into the air. "Now Take Down!" Phanpy then charged across the field to where Dewott would land.

"Dewott stop those losers in their tracks with Water Pulse!" While still in the air Dewott began rapidly firing Water Pulse attacks at Phanpy who continued to dodge each one until Dewott landed back on the field and dealt a powerful Take Down. "Use Ice Beam!" Dewott quickly retaliated and fired another beam of freezing energy scoring a direct hit on its opponent.

"Phanpy!" Molly gasped.

"Ice type attacks are super effective on ground types like Phanpy." Dawn stated very worried.

"I believe this has gone on long enough Dewott Ice Beam!" Burgundy commanded before Dewott once again fired its beam attack.

"Quick Phanpy dodge it!" Molly warned. Phanpy quickly moved out of the beam attack only to have Dewott fire another beam narrowly dodge that. Dewott continued with the ice barrage missing Phanpy each time until Dewott finally stopped. "Great job Phanpy they didn't hit you once." Molly praised her Pokémon.

"You don't seem to realize that this battle is as good as mine now." Burgundy said smugly.

"What?" Molly said confused.

"What's she talking about?" Ritchie asked.

"Yeah Phanpy dodged every Ice Beam she fired. Bianca(Johto) pointed out.

"OH NO!" Cilan gasped. Look at the Field."

Looking to the field everyone gasped in horror as they now notice that walls of ice behind Phanpy and on both of its sides and leaving no room to dodge and the only way out in the front guarded by Dewott. "You now see your trapped, this is the end, Dewott Hydro Pump!" Burgundy ordered confidently.

"This isn't good, if Hydro Pump hits Phanpy's done for." Misty said frantically.

Dewott glowed blue putting its hands together and a blue ball of water formed between them, the ball of water flattened and turned into a circle the a powerful jet of water fired from the circle right at Phanpy. Everyone watch with a look of fright as the attack that could end the match was about to hit.

"Phanpy use Defense Curl then Rollout!" Molly ordered. Phanpy curled itself into a ball and began rolling at high speeds by remained in its spot. As the attack hit the water was diverted to Phanpy's sides.

"What!" Burgundy said in shock. Phanpy suddenly shot forward through the water jet then smashed into Dewott escaping the ice walls.

"What just happened?" Iris asked watching wide-eyed.

"I get it, Molly Had Phanpy use Defence Curl to strengthen its defense then use Rollout so that Phanpy could burst through that Hydro Pump and attack." Brock said impressed.

"Attacking and defending, then that means." Danw began.

"Molly used her very own Counter Shield!" Ash cheered with pride.

"This can't be happening!" Burgundy stated angrily while Dewott struggled to its feet.

"Yes it can and now its our turn, Phanpy use Hidden Power!" Molly stated proudly. A white aura outlined Phanpy's body then two rings of white orbs circled it in an X formation then disappeared as Phanpy fired a beam of white energy. Dewott was swept away by the blast sending it into the wall when the attack ended Dewott lay unconscious and beaten.

"Impossible." Burgundy said utterly shocked.

"Dewott is unable to battle Phanpy is the winner and the match goes to Molly!" The referee announced.

"The crowed roared with applause while Molly stood stunned until the events of the battle finally hit her. "We just won... we just WON!" Molly finally cheered. Phanpy rushed to its trainer's side with excitement. "Phanpy you were great!" Molly said hugging the tiny ground type.

"I can't belive I was beaten by a little kid!" Burgundy roared angrily.

"Now that was quite an upset wasn't it, an excellent battle." Don George commentated.

"Yes one would assume that Burgundy had the advantage over a much younger trainer but Molly was able to keep calm under pressure, showed great use of strategies, and was able to make split second decisions, all marks of an excellent trainer." Cynthia stated.

"She really did it!" Dawn cheered with excitement and relief.

"Looks like Ash gets to hold on to his Pokémon after all." Paul said with relief as well.

"I told you guys Molly had this battle." Ash reminded everyone.

"She really did do a great job out there." May agreed.

"Excellent training and determination make for a powerful combination." Cilan evaluated.

"And betting other people's Pokémon makes for a bad idea!" Misty growled holding Cilan by his bowtie.

"Understood." Cilan yelped before Misty released him.

Molly ran from the field to rejoin her friends immediately rushed to Ash throwing her arms around him in a tight hug. "Ash I did it, I did it, I did it!"

"Yeah you did and you were awesome." Ash praised kneeling down to return the hug.

"You had some great moves out there." Said Brock.

"And you and Phanpy were totally in sync." Zoey applauded.

"Burgundy didn't know what hit her." Ritchie added.

"Thanks everybody but I couldn't have done it without Ash." Molly stated.

"Aw come on Molly your the one who deserves the credit, you won and kept us from having to exchange our Pokémon."

"Better take it Molly, Ash never gives credit to someone else." Misty advised with a smirk causing Ash to face fault.

"The forth battle is about to begin trainers take your positions." Don George announced.

"Alright Dawn you and me are up." Misty told the coordinator.

"Alright, after Molly's battle we've got to put on a real show." Dawn said confidently.

"Sounds good to me." Misty agreed.

"Do your best you two." Said Brock.

"Yeah give it everything you got." Said Ash.

Once the girls were in place Don George came over the loudspeaker once again. "And now we have the forth match, first is the Gym Leader of Cerulean City she know water Pokémon like no other and can swim circles around any athlete its Misty!" The crowd roared with applause as Don George introduced the competitors. "And the Top Coordinator who's style and flare is know all over the Contest scene its Dawn!"

"This should be interesting to see a Coordinator and Gym Leader do battle." Said Cilan.

"Hard to tell who will take this one." Said Ritchie.

"Yeah two really strong trainers with different styles going at it." Stephan stated eagerly.

"Misty calls Corsola!" Misty threw a lureball releasing a small, pink, roundish Pokémon with branch-like growths on its back, a white underside with four stubby legs and a pair of pink stubby arms.

"Cool I've never seen that Pokémon before." Cameron said taking out his pokedex to scan Corsola. "Corsola the Coral Pokémon, Corsola's branches glitter very beautifully in seven colors when they catch sunlight. If any branch breaks off, this Pokémon grows it back in just one night."

"Alright Piplup spotlight!" Dawn told her partner Pokémon the small blue penguin-like Pokémon perched on her.

"A very interesting match up." Cynthia stated.

"Yes indeed, both Corsola and Piplup are water types but Corsola is also a rock type and that secondary type could make a big impact on this battle." Don George explained.

"Both Trainers ready, and begin!"

"We've got the first move, Corsola Bubblebeam!" Misty started things off. A blue ball formed in Corsola's mouth and release blue energized bubbles.

"Piplup show them your Bubblebeam!" Dawn ordered. Piplup opened its beak and released its own stream of energized bubbles. The two attacks collided in the middle of the field with both sides fighting hard to prevail over the other until both beams canceled each other out. "Now Drill peck!" Piplup's beak glowed white and became elongated then shot forward at Corsola spinning rapidly.

Corsola jump to the side narrowly missing the attack. "Ok Corsola use Ancient Power!" Corsola's body glowed white and the glow then formed into a silver ball at the end of Corsola's horns before being fired at the still spinning Penguin Pokémon making solid contact.

"Piplup are you alright?" Dawn asked the tiny water type who quickly stood up confidently. "Great now lets use Whirlpool!" Piplup's body glowed a blue and white as it raised its arms and beak to the air then opened its beak creating a huge whirlpool above Piplup that the Penguin Pokémon then threw at Corsola sweeping it up in the water.

Piplup help the swirling vortex over its head while Corsola spun helplessly in the water. "Corsola, aim Water Pulse into the center of the Whirlpool." An orb of blue energy appeared in front of Corsola then launched into the center of the vortex. The energy of the Water Pulse added power to the already large Whirlpool which grew larger. Piplup struggled to maintain its attack because of the power burst until the Water Pulse came down exploding in Piplup's face destroying the Whirlpool freeing Corsola and leaving Piplup swaying in confusion.

"Oh no, Piplup." Dawn gasped watching her Pokémon stumble back and forth in a daze.

"There it is folks the added effect of Water Pulse that can leave the opponent confused, this could be trouble for Piplup." Don George informed the crowd.

"Now Corsola, Spike Cannon!" Misty ordered. Corsola turned its horns toward the still loopy Piplup the glowed white and began firing a barrage of white spikes. The spikes hit head on covering Piplup in smoke and continued until nothing could be seen. Suddenly a white light cut through the dust cloud. The smoke cleared to revealed Piplup no longer confused outlined in white enduring the Spike Cannon.

"Wow what's that?" Molly asked

"It's Bide a move that absorbs the energy of an opponents attack and then sends it back at them." Max explained.

"Alight Piplup do it!" Dawn ordered then Piplup fired all of the stored up energy in its body in a white beam at Corsola.

Corsola was swept up by the beam and sent flying into the wall. "Corsola!" Misty said with worry. The water and rock type Pokémon quickly shook off the last attack and hopped back on to the field. "Alright time for another Bublebeam!" Corsola once again fired a fluffy of energized bubbles.

"Piplup use peck!" Piplup charged forward with it beak elongated glowing white then with amazing speed popped every bubble that stood in its why then charged Corsola.

"Now use Power Gem!" Misty commanded with confidence. Just before Piplup's attack hit Corsola's horns glowed red then fired a pale pink beam with white energy surrounding it catching Piplup off guard blasting it away.

"This battle is really heating up, every time one side makes a move the other retaliates nether of these ladies are ready to give an inch without taking it back." Don George announced.

"They're both matching up really well." Brock observed.

"This will be a close one for sure." Tracy pointed out.

"Alright Piplup time for Hydro Pump!" Danw ordered. Piplup opened its beak and released a powerful stream of water with white ring of water surrounding it at Corsola.

The attack hit but Corsola stood its ground as best it could while still getting pushed back. "Corsola use Mirror Coat!" Misty advised urgently. Corsola glowed orange as Piplup's Hydro Pump could no longer reach and was then sent back at Piplup with greater force. "Your not the only one who has an attack that can send damage back." Misty said to dawn.

"I've never seen that attack before." Cameron admitted.

"Me nether, it looked kind of like Bide but did way more damage."Said Stephan.

"That's because Mirror Coat sends back your opponents attack but it doubles the damage." May informed the Unova Trainers.

"Ouch, so any attack Piplup uses against Mirror Coat will basically be like attacking itself twice." Stephan added up.

"Yep but it only works on special moves, physical moves aren't affected." May elaborated.

"Corsola, Water Pulse!" Misty commanded going back offence. Corsola formed another blue orb of energy and fired it at Piplup.

"Use Drill Peck Piplup!" Piplup's beak glowed white and became elongated then shot forward spinning rapidly this time making contact with the Water Pulse and easily drilling through it before smashing into Corsola. "Now use Ice Beam!" Piplup opened its beak and fired a beam of freezing energy.

"Quick Corsola use Ancient Power!" Corsola's body glowed white and the glow then formed into a silver ball at the end of Corsola's horns then launched it meeting the Ice Beam before both attack exploded leaving a cloud of smoke on the field.

"Bubblebeam!" Both trainers ordered. Corsola and Piplup fired a flurry of energized bubbles at each other, the bubbles collided with one another ending in another stalemate.

"What a match we have here, both sides seemed to be evenly match with nether of them being able to hold an edge on the other for very long." Don George commented.

"We'll see about that. Piplup Hydro Pump!" Dawn commanded. Piplup jumped into the air then fired another powerful stream of water at Corsola.

"Nice try Dawn, Corsola use Mirror Coat!" Corsola glowed orange and stopped Hydro Pump from hitting.

"Now use Drill Peck!" Piplup's beak became elongated while still firing Hydro Pump, Piplup then began spinning headed straight for Corsola striking the water and rock type before it could send the attack back at Piplup.

"What was that?" Bianca(Unova) asked in aw.

"Dawn used a combination, she had Piplup use Hydro Pump first knowing Misty would block it with Mirror Coat then fallowed up with Drill Peck because it wouldn't be affected by Mirror Coat leaving Corsola open to attack." Zoey explained after picking up on her friends idea.

"That was pretty good Dawn but it'll take more then that to keep me down." Misty said looking across the field to Dawn.

"I know that for sure Misty, now Piplup use Ice Beam!"

"Power Gem Corsola!"

Piplup fired a beam of freezing energy while Corsola fired pale pink beam with white energy from its horns. The attacks collided in an explosion then threw the smoke came a storm of glowing white needles that bombarded piplup. "Use Peck!" Piplup's beak glowed as the Penguin Pokémon began knocking down the needles with its beak. "Now use Drill Peck!" Piplup shot forward at Corsola spinning rapidly.

"Corsola use Water Pulse!" Misty order. then Corsola fired a blue orb of energy.

"Use Ice Beam!" Piplup fired an Ice Beam while still spinning canceling out Corsola's Water Pulse then struck with another Drill Peak.

"Hang in there Corsola and use Power Gem!" Misty encouraged. Corsola's horns glowed red then fired a pale pink beam with white energy scoring a hit as Piplup stopped spinning.

Piplup rose to its feet and both Pokémon stood breathing heavily.

"Piplup's getting tired." Dawn thought to herself.

"Corsola can't keep this up for much longer." Misty said in her head.

"Then I better make these next attacks count!" Both girl thought determinedly.

"Piplup use Bubblebeam!"

Corsola use Spike Cannon!"

Both Pokémon charged at each other Piplup fired energized Bubbles while Corsola shot energized needles. the needles easily popped the bubbles but were easily dodged by Piplup.

"Corsola use Power Gem!"

"Hydro Pump Piplup!"

Corsola fired another pink beam of energy and Piplup use another power stream of water. The attack connected with one another and canceled out.

"Ice Beam!" Dawn commanded.

"Water Pulse!" Misty ordered.

Piplup fired its ice attack and Corsola fired its water attack. The attack met in a stalemate for a moment until Piplup's Ice Beam won bursting through the Water Pulse but was dodged by Corsola.

"Now use Bubblebeam!" Misty called out her next attack and Corsola fired a beam of bubbles.

"Jump Piplup!" Dawn advised. Piplup continued to charge forward then jumped over the attack. "Now Drill Peck!" Piplup was now hurtling toward Corsola with its beak spinning and glowing.

"Corsola Use Ancient Power!" Corsola's body glowed white and the glow then formed into a silver ball at the end of Corsola's horns.

Piplup attack was about to hit when Corsola brought up it's Ancient Power attack to defend while still in its horns. The attcks met and a large explosion covered both Pokémon. The entire stadium watched from the edge of their seats to see the outcome. The smoke slowly cleared to reveal Corsola had taken damage but was standing while Piplup was passed out with swirls in its eyes.

"Piplup!" Dawn gasped.

"Piplup is unable to battle the winner is Corsola and the match goes to Misty!" The referee declared.

"Alright way to go Corsola!" Misty cheered holding her arms to welcoming Corsola into a hug.

Across the field Dawn picked up her now conscious and disappointed looking partner. "Pip Piplup." (Sorry Dawn.)

"Don't be down Piplup, that was a really awesome battle and you were awesome to." Dawn said smiling proudly.

"Piplup lup pip lup." (I was pretty cool.) Piplup said having his confidence restored.

"Dawn that was a great battle we had." Misty said coming over to Dawn.

"Yeah it was but don't think your gonna beat me next time." Dawn proclaimed with a smile.

"I'm looking forward to it." Misty said as she and Dawn shook hands.

"Wonderful, there is no better outcome to such an impressive battle then with friendships growing stronger." Cynthia said proud of both girls.

"Man they were awesome." Ash said still taking in the events of the battle.

"Yeah, it really could have gone either way." Said Gary.

"Your not kidding that battle was so back and forth I couldn't tell who was in control." Virgil admitted.

Misty and Dawn returned to their friends both smiling brightly "That was quite a battle." Said Cilan.

"You two rocked out there." Zoey praised.

"I couldn't take my eyes away from the battlefield." Said Bianca(Johto).

"You both did an amazing job." Brock encouraged.

"Dawn amazing there's a good laugh." Said a snide voice that made Dawn cringe.

"Oh no." Dawn groaned as she turned around to find Ursula.

"To bad you didn't have the clock to save you this time." Ursula laughed.

"She didn't need a clock, it was a close battle and Dawn did a great job." Misty defended her friend.

"So what, all that means is your not that much stronger then her and that's not saying much at all." Ursula continued.

"What was that!" Misty said her anger growing.

"How dare you, Misty's a great trainer!" Dawn said being more provoked by her friend being insulted.

"More like second rate and that makes you third rate Dawn." Ursula taunted. Both Misty and Dawn furrowed their brows in anger at the arrogant girl.

"Dawn and Misty had a great battle and both of them did a amazing job, for you to call them second rate is just wrong." Zoey scolded.

"We have different ideas of what's amazing." Ursula said matter-of-factly.

"No argument there." Misty growled.

"Winning this competition is going to be easier than I thought." Ursula said to herself before walking off with Zoey Dawn and Misty glaring at her back.

"What's her problem?" May asked

"SHE is her problem." Dawn answered.

"If I get to battle her I'll shut that big mouth of hers but good." Zoey sated.

"Sounds like a good idea." Misty agreed.

"It is now time to begin the fifth battle, trainers take your positions." Don George announced.

"That's us Casey." May informed.

"Alright time to step up to the plate." Casey said excitedly.

"Our first Trainer is as feisty as the team she roots for, Number One Electabuzz Fan in the world its Casey!"

"Hey all you Electabuzz Fans out there hope you already to see a great game!" Casey told the crowd.

"And our Second Trainer is a Top Coordinator who knows how to bring the heat of battle to the Contest stage its May!"

"Yo May I'm rooting for you babe!" Sid called out.

"Great." May said hafe-heartedly.

"Alright May lets get this started, Your up Electabuzz!" Casey threw her pokeball like she was pitching a baseball and released a humanoid pokemon with feline traits that was covered in yellow fur with black stripes a large stripe on its chest is shaped like a lightning bolt. It had a long tail and three clawed toes on both of its feet; two in front and one in back, while it has five fingers on each hand as well as two sharp fangs and a pair of antennae with bulbous ends.

"So that's an Electabuzz." Bianca(Unova) said finally seeing the Pokémon Casey's favorite baseball team was named after then took out her pokedex to scan it. "Electabuzz the Electric Pokémon and the evolved form of Elekid, Electabuzz windmills its arms to slightly boost the power of it punches but foes have been known to escape in the meantime."

"Venusaur take the stage!" May called out a large dinosaur-like Pokémon with bumpy, bluish green skin. It had small, circular red eyes, two pointed teeth on its upper jaw, and four pointed teeth on its lower jaw, three clawed toes on each foot. On its back was a large pink, white-spotted flower. The flower was supported by a thick, brown trunk surrounded by green fronds and at the center of the flower was a seed indicating May's was a female.

"A Venusaur." Virgil said taking out his pokedex."Venusaur the Seed Pokémon and the final evolved form of Bulbasaur, After a rainy day the flower on Venusaur's back smells stronger which attracts other Pokémon and uses its petals to capture sunlight and transform it into energy."

"Now Trainers ready, and begin!"

Electabuzz use Thunder Punch!" Casey ordered right away. Electabuzz began swinging its arm in a circle while electricity sparked from it before Electabuzz charge Venusaur.

"Razor Leaf, Venusaur!" May commanded her grass type. A barrage of razor sharp leaves shot from Venusaur's back. Electabuzz continued forward dodging the leafs then delivered its electrified punch to Venusaur's face.

"Use Vine Wipe!" May advised. Two large vines came from Venusaur's back the wrapped around Electabuzz's arm that was still connected to her cheek then lifted it off the ground before spinning it several time then released the vines sending Electabuzz crashing back down into the field.

"That won't stop us, Electabuzz use Thunder Punch again!" Electabuzz once again rushed the large Pokémon with a electrical powered punch.

"Venusaur Vine Wipe one more time!" May commanded. Venusaur's vines once again shot out and wrapped around Electabuzz's arm.

"Got you now, Thunderbolt!" Casey smirked. Electabuzz's body became electrified, the electricity then flowed into it arm then through the vines going back to Venusaur shocking her appearing to do a decent amount of damage.

"How's Thunderbolt that effective on a grass type?" Dawn asked shocked.

"At long distance it wouldn't do much but being directly connected to Elecctabuzz like that is causing more damage." Ritchie explained.

"Venusaur dig your vines into the ground!" May advised. Venusaur unleashed four more vines from her back then dug them into the ground diverting the electricity from her and grounding it out.

"Uh oh!" Casey gasped as she saw Electabuzz was now caught.

"Now use Petal Dance!" Venusaur released a storm of pink petals from the flower on her back hitting Electabuzz at pointblank range.

"A quick recovery by May gives her the opening to score a big hit with Petal Dance!' Don George Commentated.

"That was pretty good May, but lets see how you handle this, Swift attack!" Casey ordered.

"Razor Leaf!" May countered

Elecctabuzz began swinging its arm this time firing star-shaped energy rays while Venusaur shot another burst of Razor Leaf. The attacks collided canceling each other out kicking up a dust cloud. Suddenly a ball of electric energy shot through the cloud hitting Venusaur dead on.

"What!" May gasped.

"Hope you liked Elecctabuzz's Electro Ball, or in our case electro fast ball." Casey said confidently. Elecctabuzz formed another Electro Ball between its hands then threw it like a baseball scoring another attack on Venusaur.

Venusaur roared in pain as the second Electro Ball hit. "Venusaur hang in there!" May encouraged.

"Alright Electabuzz use Brick Break!" Electabuzz jump high above Venusaur then came down with a karate chop.

"Use Grass Pledge Venusaur!" Venusaur raised it foot then slammed it down then a pillar of leaves erupted from the field underneath Electabuzz in the middle of its decent trapping it in the storm of green.

"Use discharge!" Casey countered. Electabuzz crossed its arms over its chest then unleashed another electric attack with this one firing in every direction breaking Electabuzz from of the leaves.

"Petal Dance!" May called the next attack

"Thunderbolt!" Casey called her counter.

Venusaur released another blast of pink petals from the flower on her back while Electabuzz fired a bolt of lighting from its body. Both attack met in the center of the field with both attack putting more energy into their attack to win the stalemate while one second Petal Dance was pushing forward Thunderbolt would then gain ground on the Petal Dance before losing it again.

"Dig deep Electabuzz!" Casey encouraged

"You can do it Venasaur!" May cheered.

Finally Venusaur gave her attack one last boost and pushed back the Thunderbolt into Electabuzz who took the brunt of both attacks.

"Electabuzz!" Casey gasped seeing her Pokémon take the hit.

"That was quite the blow Electabuzz took another one like that could mean the end of this battle." Don George gave his input.

"That's right Electabuzz took way to much damage, so we need to score a big attack of our own we just need the right opportunity." Casey thought to herself.

"Ok Venusaur lets wrap this up with Solarbeam!" May announced. Venusaur gave a loud roar then began drawing the sun's energy into the flower on her back.

"And there it is, ELectabuzz use Thunder!" Casey ordered. Electabuzz's body began glowing yellow as a massive amount of energy was built up the all at once Electabuzz released that energy into the sky before a bolt of lightning descended heading right for Venusaur.

"Frenzy Plant!" May called out shocking everyone. Venusaur's body became outlined in a green light she then stopped her foot causing giant roots with spikes on them to burst up from the ground all of the vines then moved over Venusaur creating a canopy blocking the thunder bolt.

"No way!" Casey said in shock.

"Now fire the Solarbeam!" Doing as her Trainer said Venusaur unleashed all of the energy she had collected in a single beam of energy right at Electabuzz knocking it right off its feet. After the attack the roots from Venusaur's Frenzy Plant sunk back into the ground leaving the large grass type very exhausted

"Electabuzz!" Casey gasped once she saw her partner knocked out.

"Electabuzz is unable to battle the winner is Venusaur and the victory goes to May!" The referee declared.

The crowed cheered as yet another exiting battle had come to an end.

"That was awesome Venusaur." May congratulated her still weaken Pokémon.

"Electabuzz that was a great inning you earned a good rest." Casey said returning her Electabuzz to its pokeball. "May that was a really great battle." Casey said walking over to her opponent.

"Yeah well have to have a rematch sometime." The brunette suggested.

"Sounds like a plan, no Electabuzz fan over turns down another game!" Casey laughed.

"Another show of good sportsmanship, Cynthia your thoughts?" Don George asked.

"A very interesting battle both trainers showed impressive skill I was most amazed by Venusaur being able use Frenzy Plant while at the same time gather energy for a Solarbeam a testament to how well May has trained it." Cynthia stated.

As both girls returned to the trainer's seat they were approached by Sid. "May you we totally awesome out there!" Sid said trying to hug the coordinator but missed as she sidestepped him then face planted only to have Audrey and Kathryn laugh at his mishap.

"You were both great out there." Brock congratulated the returning teens.

"Thanks Brock, but in this game its one strike and I'm out." Casey laughed and shrugged.

"Don't worry about it, you still had an excellent battle." Said Zoey.

"Yeah and you have the Prism League to look forward to." Bianca(Unova) pointed out.

"I know, and next time I step up I'm hitting one out of the park!" Casey proclaimed.

"Sometime I can't tell who's harder to understand Casey or Cilan." Misty said raising an eyebrow.

"Good question." Dawn agreed.

After a few quick words the next match got under way once both girls took the spots. "First we have the energetic wield child, nurtured by nature Iris!"

"Hey Iris the little kid, just cause your not gonna battle me doesn't give you an excuse to lose to anyone else!" George said returning from out of now where.

"Do you ever give it a rest!" Bianca(Johto) roared at the Dargon Buster.

"And her opponent a computer wiz with brains and beauty."

"I'LL SAY!" Brock interrupted.

"It's Rebecca!"

"I wonder how these two will stack up against each other?" Ash asked no one in particular.

"I can tell you Ash, Rebecca is definitely the stronger of those two." Rafe stepped in.

"What makes you say that?" Molly asked curiously.

"Rebecca's not only strong she's smart she's probably one of the best strategists entered in the Prism League." Rafe explained.

"Yeah if she's not recording a battle with her laptop she's watching another battle." Said Audrey.

"She's always coming up with new different strategies for different opponents to." Said Kathryn.

"Just watch." Rafe advised.

Alright Metagross come on out!" Rebecca threw her pokeball unleashing what looked to be a four legged tank-like Pokémon. Its turquoise-colored, discus-shaped main body appears to be its head at the center point where its legs branch out to give the impression of a mechanized arachnid and had a metallic cross adorning its face formed by its tusks crossing diagonally between its two red eyes, often viewed as the letter "X".

"Hey awesome Metagross." Morrison said seeing the Pokémon he himself also used.

"A Metagross?" Dawn said taking grabbing her pokedex. "Metagross the Iron Leg Pokémon and the evolved form of Metang, Metagross has four brains that are join by a complex neural network. As a result of integration this Pokémon than a supercomputer." The pokedex analyzed. "Wow even her Pokémon are super smart."

"Ok Excadrill let go!" Iris released a large Mole with a dark brown body with diagonal, red splotches. Three markings are on its front, with two under each arm, and two on its back. It has short legs with small, narrow feet, each containing three toes. Its small white face is long and thin, tipped by its pink nose. A large blade roughly twice as large as its face extends from its forehead. The top of the blade contains two smaller blades, resembling fins. Its arms were thick and had three large blades instead of fingers, with two smaller blades on top of the middle ones.

"Never seen that Pokémon before." Casey looked at Excadrill confused then took out her pokedex. "Excadrill the Subterrene Pokémon, Forming a drill with its steel claws and head, it can bore through a steel plate, no matter how thick it is."

"That sounds like it could be trouble for a steel type like Metagross." Ritchie stated.

"Not with Rebecca out there." Sid said surly.

"Trainers ready, and begin!"

"Lets go Excadrill, use Drill Run!" Iris said starting thing off. Excadrill put its arms up to its head and formed its body into a drill then jumped into the air rotating its body while charging at Metagross.

"Use Reflect." Rebecca said calmly. The X on Metagross's face glowed blue and another X was created in front of it. The copy began to spin then turned into a large barrier that blocked Excadrill's attack.

"What?" Iris gasped.

"Now use Bullet Punch." Metagross lifted its legs up and began floating then dropped the barrier before its arms started to glow red and began spinning on its side hitting Ecxcadrill repeatedly knocking it across the field.

"Excadrill are you ok?" Iris asked as Excadrill stood up. "Lets use Metal Claw!"

"Metagross use Metal Claw." Rebecca ordered. Both Pokémon's claws flashed white then turned into iron. Both Excadrill and Metagross Metal Claws collided in a stalemate. "Now Meteor Mash." A silhouette of a golden meteor appeared around Metagross's free hand before driving a punch into Excadrill.

Rebecca set the pace for the remained of the match quickly overpowering Iris and Excadrill. The first round continued on with Audrey and Kathryn battling evenly matched until Audrey and her Volbeat gained the upper hand on Kathryn and her Illumise. In the last match Ursula and her Gabite defeated her opponent Melisa and her Tynamo.

"There it is ladies and gentlemen that concludes the first round and the eight trainers moving on to round two will be Zoey, Bianca(Unova), Molly, Misty, May, Rebecca, Audrey and Ursula!" Don George announced as all eight winners stood in the center of the field.

"To bad we're not out there." Iris shrugged with a laugh.

"Aw there's always the next competition." Dawn said brightly.

"That's the spirit, you win some you lose some." Casey agreed when suddenly she noticed the dark aura of the scowling Georgia and Burgundy.

"And for some people you lose some and lose some more." Iris smirked at the irritated Trainers.

"You're one to talk you lost to!" Georgia growled.

"Yeah but you don't see me moping about it!" Iris shot back.

"I was so close to finally proving that miserable fool Cilan wrong until that brat ruined my plans for revenge!" Burgundy reiterated her defeat.

"She really doesn't take losses well." Dawn sweat dropped.

"Pip Lup Piplup." (She sure doesn't.) Piplup agreed.

"Its time to see who will faceoff in the next round!" The eight remaining competitors pictures appeared on the big screen and were then shuffled randomly until each Trainer was matched up to another. The pairing showed Bianca(Unova) would face Molly, Misty would face May, Rebecca would battle Zoey and Audrey would go up against Ursula. "Which of these lovely ladies will win and clam the title of Prism Princess?"

"What kind of a question is that of course it will be me." Ursula said smugly earning dagger sharp glares from the other seven girls.

"We'll see about that." Zoey said irked.

"Yeah you'll all see me win this whole thing." Ursula said before leaving the field.

"Lets all make sure no matter what, that she doesn't win." May suggested.

"Agreed." The girls replied.

The girls left the field leaving only Bianca (Unova) and Molly who's match was about to begin. "Ok gooooo Liligant!" Bianca was the first to call out her Pokémon what looked to be a living flower in a dress of leaves and petals.

"One of Bianca's new Pokémon." Ash said about to scan the Pokémon. "Liligant the Flowering Pokémon, the fragrance of the garland on Liligant's head has a relaxing effect but is difficult to bloom even for veteran Trainers."

"A grass Pokémon, then I'll go with Magby!" Molly threw her pokeball releasing a small bipedal Pokémon that had a red body with a yellow, flame-shaped marking on its stomach. Its head was covered with large lumps, and it had a rounded, yellow beak. There was a single spike on its back and a tapered tail. Its short arms had three clawed fingers, while its feet had only two clawed toes.

"Awww what a cutie." Bianca sighed then grabbed her pokedex wanting to know more. "Magby, the Live Coal Pokémon, If a Magby is spouting yellow flames from its mouth, it is in good health. When it is fatigued, black smoke will be mixed in with the flames." Bianca sigh once more. "Oh It's hard enough battling a cute Pokémon like Magby but its really tough when a Pokémon and their Trainer look so adorable together." Bianca said to herself having trouble getting past Molly and Magby's cute appearances.

"Both Trainers ready, now begin!"

"Magby use Fire Spin!" Molly was the first to attack. Magby shot a vortex of fire from its mouth at Liligant.

Bianca was brought out of her daze by Magby's attack. "Quick Liligant dodge it!" Liligant flailed frantically before ducking out of the way. "Ok they maybe cute but they're still our opponents." Bianca reminded herself. "Liligant use Energy ball!" Liligant formed an orb of light green energy then fired it a Magby.

"Magby send it back with Fire Punch!" Magby's fist became covered in flames then punched the incoming Energy Ball sending it back covered in fire. Liligant dodged the returning attack while Magby charged in with another punch ready.

"Liligant use Magical Leaf!" Liligant raised its hands and unleashed multiple glowing green leaves that honed in on Magby and scored a direct hit.

"Magby!" Molly gasped.

"Now use petal Dance!" Bianca ordered. Liligant released a spiral of pink petals from all around its body at Magby.

"Quick Magby use Flamethrower!" Magby unleashed a powerful blast of fire from its mouth that easily burned the petals and hit Liligant. "Now Flame Burst!" Magby shot a stream of fire from its mouth into the air. The flames form a ball which then burst and rained multiple streaks of fire down on Liligant.

"Liligant use Magical Leaf again." Liligant raised its hands and unleashed multiple glowing green leaves.

"Magby use Flame Charge!" magby stomped both of its feet kicking up dust. Its body then became surrounded by an orb of fire then jumped head on into the glowing leaves burning them on contact then charge toward Liligant and smashing into it.

"Oh no Liligant are you ok?" Bianca asked her Pokémon as was knocked back after the last attack.

"Molly's doing pretty good." Ritchie observed.

"In her last match she had the type disadvantage, but this time around she has the advantage so she's being more aggressive." Brock explained.

"She's really getting the hang of battling." Cameron agreed.

"Of course, she's a natural." Ash praised

"Ok Magby Fire Punch!" Magby's fist was once again covered in fire before rushing Liligant.

"Use Leech Seed!" Bianca ordered. Liligant released a giant seed from its head. As the seed neared magby it exploded into a mass of vines that quickly wrapped around Magby which then glowed red as they drained the fire types energy and transfer it to Liligant. "Fallow up with Mega Drain!" Liligant fired a green beam from its hands at the still tangled Magby draining of even more energy.

"Magby shoot your Flamethrower down at the ground!" Molly told her struggling Pokémon. Magby fired its attack at the ground which caused the flames to surround it burning off the vines freeing it of Leech Seed.

"Looks like Magby took some real damage." Dawn stated.

Bianca came up with that combo during our training, Leech Seed stalls her opponent while leaving it open for a Mega Drain." Stephan informed.

"Well on there own Leech seed and Mega Drain wouldn't do much against a fire type but together its a different story and both attacks restored a bit of Liligant's energy." Zoey pointed out.

"Magical Leaf!" Bianca ordered.

"Lava Plume!" Molly countered.

liligant unleashed multiple glowing green leaves while Magby stomped its foot causing an explosion around it creating a mix of smog and fire to cover the area burning the Magical Leaf and hitting Liligant with flames.

"Hang on Liligant and use Petal Dance!" Liligant retaliated hitting Magby with a blast of pink petals ending the Lava Plume.

"Magby use Fire Spin!" Magby shot a spiral of fire from its mouth.

"Petal Dance again!" Liligant unleashed more petals to meet the Fire Spin with both attacks evenly matched. "Now Energy Ball!" Liligant formed an orb of light green energy.

"Smokescreen!" Molly advised. Magby unleashed a thick black smoke around itself and liliagant blocking them both from sight when liligant's Energy Ball came flying out of the cloud of smoke. Both Trainers ceased their attack as the smoke hung around the battlefield. Slowly visibility returned Showing Liligant but no Magby.

"Where'd it go." Bianca searched what she could see of the field that was not obscured by smoke.

"Go Magby Fire Punch!" Molly finally called her next move. Magby jumped from the cloud of smoke behind Liligant then delivered a swift fire powered punch to the grass type.

"An excellent exaction using smokescreen to dodge Energy Ball and give Magby the element of surprise to counter back with Fire Punch." Don George stated.

"Looks like I'll have to go big, Liligant use Sunny Day!" Bianca commanded. Liligant released a beam of white light from the flower on its head at the sun making the sunny light much brighter and harsher. "Now Synthesis!" Liligant's whole body glowed white and became surrounded by white sparkles as it drew in the sunlight.

"Magby quick use Flamethrower!" Magby unleashed a powerful blast of fire from its mouth.

"Liligant use Solar Beam!" Liligant ceased its glowing then with the power of the strengthened sunlight quickly formed a ball of energy and fired it.

Both attacks flew across the field about to collide, when they did the Flamethrower shot straight through the Solarbeam and hit Liligant." The Flowering Pokémon stood for only a moment long before falling back knocked out.

"Liligant!" Bianca gasped.

"Liligant is unable to battle, the winner is Magby and the match goes to molly."

"Yeah we did I Magby!" Molly cheered as she embraced Magby.

"A very impressive battle to say least don't you think Cynthia."

"Yes an excellent display of two Trainer's skills in battle." Cynthia replied.

"Wait I don't get it, why didn't Synthesis work and how did Flamethrower beat Solarbeam so easily?" Cameron asked holding is head in total confusion.

"Synthesis didn't work because Bianca interrupted it by using Solarbeam, Synthesis only works if it has enough time to absorb energy." Ritchie explained.

"But then what happened with Solarbeam?" Cameron asked again.

"It was because of the Sunny Day, while it does make Solarbeam faster it also makes fire type attacks stronger which is how Flamethrower beat the Solarbeam." Virgil answered this time.

After returning Liligant to its pokeball Bianca walked across the field over to Molly. "That was an awesome battle Molly we should battle again sometime. Bianca said brightly.

"That sounds great." Molly agreed.

"It is now time for the second match of round two." Don George announced.

"May, Misty you guys are up." Brock told the girls.

"Give the crowd a real show." Zoey encouraged.

"You got it." Both Misty and May answered.

Once both girls took their place they released their Pokémon. "Misty calls Starmie!" Misty released a violet sea star-like Pokémon with a gold formation on its front and a red jewel at its center that gave a feminine 'Hoh' cry.

What's that?" Stephan said reaching for his pokedex. "Starmie the Mysterious Pokémon, Starmie's center section glows brightly in seven colors. Because of its luminous nature, this Pokémon has been given the nickname "the gem of the sea."

"Leave it to a girl to battle with Jewelry." Said Barry.

"Now Munchlax take the Stage!" May called out a Pokémon that resembled a small bear with teal-colored body a round head, round eyes and large pointy ears. It had five-fingered hands and cream-colored feet with three clawed toes.

"Lets check it out." Ritchie said pulling out his pokedex. "Munchlax the Big Eater Pokémon, Munchlax wolfs down its weight in food once a day, swallowing food whole with almost no chewing."

"So this battle will be between Misty's water type Starmie against May's normal type Munchlax, an intesting matchup." Said Don George.

"The attacks they chose will play a large role in this battle." Cynthia added.

"Both Trainers ready and begin!"

"Ok let start thing off with Water Gun Starmie!" Starmie fired a spiral of water from it uppermost limb.

"Dodge that Munchlax, and use Ice Beam!" Munchlax sidestepped the in coming water stream and fired a beam of icy energy.

Starmie to the ice attack dead on but quickly shook it off and ready itself for Misty's next order. "Alright starmie use Rapid Spin!" Starmie began spinning like a saw blade and charged at Muchlax who jump out of its path.

"Use Focus Punch!" Munchlax focus its energy it its right fist and prepared itself as Starmie came back around for another Rapid Spin. As Starmie was about to hit Munchlax threw its punch hitting Starmie's still spinning body before both Pokémon were blown back by the force of their attacks.

"Starmie use Bubblebeam!" Misty ordered seeing Starmie had recovered first. Starmie fired energized bubbles from its red jewel center bombarding Munchlax.

"Munchlax use Metronome!" Munchlax raised its hands and waved its fingertips back and forth until they began glowing white then a huge blast of wind came from its fingers blowing away the bubbles and knocked Starmie into the air.

"That was a Gust attack." Max said recognizing the attack.

"Leave it to May to make a move like Metronome work." Brock laughed.

"Now Munchlax use Focus Punch!" Munchlax got a running start before it jumped into the air hit Starmie with another energized punch knocking it back to the ground. "Fallow up with Body Slam!" Munchlax let gravity take over and allowed itself to drop down right on the Starmie.

"An excellent combination by May and Munchlax, you certainly don't want to take a Body Slam from the Big Eater Pokémon." Don George commentated.

Munchlax was suddenly launch off of Starmie by a stream of water shot the Mysterious Pokémon who quickly stood up and shook off the last attack. "that was a good attack May."

"Thanks but that's not even close to my best." May replied confidently.

"Well that's even better, Starmie use Swift!" Starmie fired star-shaped rays from its center jewel.

"Munchlax use Metronome again." Munchlax once again raised its hands and waved its fingertips back and forth until they began glowing white this time a storm of green glowing leafs appeared colliding with the stars. "That was Magical Leaf perfect, now use Tackle Munchlax!" Munchlax rushed the star-shaped Pokémon then smashed into it with all its weight.

"Hydro Pump!" Misty advised. Starmie blasted Munchlax away with powerful stream of water shot from the gem at its center.

"Ice Beam!" May retaliated.

"Rapid Spin!" Misty ordered.

"Munchlax fired its freezing beam missing the spinning star. Starmie moved in and scored a clean hit on Munchlax with its Rapid Spin. Starmie spun around in the air came back and hit Munchlax again. As Starmie prepared to come around for a third attack Munchlax rose to its feet.

"Munchlax use Strength!" May said thinking quickly then Munchlax's body became surrounded by a red aura. As the attack was about to hit Munchlax caught Starmie between its hand causing everyone to gasp. "Now seed Starmie flying!" Munchlax kept a firm hold on Starmie then spun several time before releasing sending Starmie into the wall.

"Starmie!" Misty gasped as the star-shaped Pokémon slid down the wall.

"That was a well timed attack on May's part." Said Zoey.

"And powerful to." Casey added.

"Starmie you ok?" Misty asked then received a nod and a Hoh of agreement. "Great!"

"How can she tell its ok it doesn't even have a face?" Barry asked perplexed.

"You ready for the another round Misty?" May as eagerly.

"Always, Starmie use Swift!" Misty replied. Starmie unleashed another storm of energy stars.

"Munchlax get in close and use Focus Punch!" Munchlax charge through the falling stars with its fist glowing bright.

"Now use Psychic!" Misty ordered surprising everyone. Starmie's gem went from red to glowing blue and Munchlax was suddenly lifted into the air.

"No way!" may gasped. Starmie then used Psychic to redirect its Swift attack to converge on the immobile Munchlax then all at once the surrounding stars struck Munchlax before it was dropped back down to the battlefield.

"How did Starmie use a Psychic attack I thought it was a water type?" Bianca asked.

"It is a water type but it's also a psychic type." Tracy informed.

"Munchlax are you ok?" may asked as she watch the normal type stand up and give a nod. "Good, lets use Ice beam!"

"Hydro Pump Starmie!"

Munchlax fired its beam while Starmie unleashed another powerful stream of water. The attack collided with great force seemingly even until both gave out ending the struggle. Munchlax stood breathing heavily while Starmie's upper half moved up and down seeming to be it own way of breathing hard.

"Alright Munchlax use Metronome!" Munchlax raised its hands and waved its fingertips back and forth until they began glowing white which then fired a silver beam of energy. "That's Flash Cannon

"Hydro Pump Starmie!" Starmie fired a high pressure blast of water from the jewel at its center. As both attack met an explosion of smoke swept over the returned reviling a Munchlax rushing Starmie while wielding Focus Power. "Starmie dodge it!" Misty warned of the incoming attack. Starmie leapt into the air just as Munchlax was about to deliver its punch. "Now use Swift!" From high above the field Starmie rained down star-shaped rays on it's opponent.

"Munchlax use Solarbeam!" As the stars rained down Munchlax gathered white streaks of energy in its mouth then fired a white beam cutting through the stars and narrowly missing Starmie.

"Use Rapid Spin!" Misty ordered. Starmie began spinning like a saw blade and prepared to dropped down on Munchlax.

"Knock it away with Focus Punch!" As Starmie came down Munchlax gathered its energy in its fist then struck the spinning Pokémon with an uppercut sending it back into the air. "Now Body Slam!" Munchlax jump over the Mysterious Pokémon and allowed it body weight to drop down smashing into Starmie.

"Another powerful combination of Focus Punch and Body Slam by Munchlax, both of these Trainers are giving it their all and so are their Pokémon I can't tell who will take this match." Don George commented.

"Starmie use Psychic!" Starmie's gem went from red to glowing blue then fired a beam of blue energy."

"Munchlax use Ice beam!" Munchlax fired its own beam meeting Starmie's Psychic, both attack bent and twisted as they tried to push the other back with tremendous force causing them to explode. "Metronome!" As Munchlax's finger glowed a turquoise ball of energy appeared between its hands then fired it at Starmie.

"Dodge it Starmie and use Water Gun!" Starmie spun of out the path of the energy attack then began firing quick blasts of water.

Munchlax duck and dodged each shot of water that was fired. "Ok Munchlax use Solarbeam!" Munchlax fired another white energy beam.

"Dodge it with Rapid Spin!" Starmie dodge the beam and spun along its path going back to Munchlax hitting square as Munchlax stopped its attack .

Starmie quickly spun around readying itself for another strike. "Knock it away with Focus Punch!" Munchlax quickly readied it punch waiting for Starmie to come into reach. As Starmie drew close Munchlax threw its punch only to have Starmie spin over top of its and land behind it.

"Hydro Pump!" Misty commanded quickly.

Starmie fired a high pressure blast of water from it gem into Munchlax's back sending it flying across the field.

Munchlax stood up clearly having taken a good amount of damage. "Ready Munchlax Focus Punch one more time!" Munchlax focused all of its energy into its fist then charge across the field at Starmie.

"Water Gun!" Misty ordered then Starmie began firing rapid shots of water at the incoming normal type with each shot being dodged.

"Do it Munchlax!" May called out as her Pokémon closed in.

"Starmie use Psychic!" Just a Munchlax's punch was about to hit, Starmie's jewel glowed blue and released a pulse psychic energy just as Muchlax's Focus Punch connected with the gem resulting in a blast that blew both Pokémon away. Both Pokémon lay cringing on their backs, both taken a large amount of damage.

"Munchlax!"

"Starmie!"

Hearing their Trainers call the Pokémon attempted to stand struggling with every movement.

"Stand up Munchlax I know you can do it." May encouraged the Big Eater pokemon.

"Hang on Starmie I believe in you!" Misty cheered on the star-shaped water type.

Finally Starmie and Munchlax stood staring one another down, both breathing heavy and feeling great strain until finally Munchlax strength gave out and dropped forward completely exhausted.

"Munchlax is unable to battle, the winner is Starmie and the match goes to Misty!" The referee declared.

The crowd let out a round a cheers and applause as yet another intense battle came to its end.

"You were great Starmie!" Misty cheered as she hugged the sea star to her body.

"Munchlax you did awesome today." May told the normal type as she sat it up against her lap.

"Munch Lax Lax Munch Lax Munchlax Munch Lax Munch?" (Thanks so can I have something to eat now?) The Big Eater Pokémon asked hopeful for a big meal.

"Sure thing." May happily agreed.

"Man that was one heck of a battle." Ash exclaimed.

"Yeah Misty and May were both totally amazing." Dawn praised the older teens.

"And yet another excellent battle that showcases the power of battle with the style of a contest." Don George commented.

"I agree both Trainer let their skills as well as their Pokémon's skills shine through in this battle." Cynthia gave her input.

"Now it's time for the third match of the second round." Don George announced.

In the third match Zoey and her Gallade faced Rebecca and her Flygon. The battle was long with both trainers giving it their all. Zoey's contest skills giving Rebecca a different challenge then what she normally face and Rebecca's strategic ability gave each Trainer their own edge. The battle was brought to its end by both sides firing a Hyper Beam leaving both Pokémon on their last legs with Gallade being the first to fall.

The last battle was Ursula against Audrey. Audrey had use her Masquerain while Ursula used her Mawile. Audrey had proven to be the stronger of the two in a straight forward battle but was overpowered by Ursula's use of combination.

"It's now time for the third round where our four remaining competitors will battle to see who will move on to the final battle." Don George announced as Misty, Rebecca, Molly and Ursula's pictures appeared on the big screen. The four pictures were shuffled for several seconds until the stopped reveling Misty's picture next to Molly's and Ursula's next to Rebecca's.

"I'm battling Misty!" Molly said surprised looking to the older girl.

"You said you wanted to battle Molly, so I hope you ready for a real battle this time." Misty told the younger Trainer.

Molly took a moment to consider Misty offer before a surge of excitement overcame her. "Yeah lets have a match to remember!"

"Sound good to me." Misty replied.

"Do you best to win Misty I don't want to have deal with another pipsqueak." Ursula said smugly earning her the glares of not only Misty, Molly and Rebecca but also the other girls sitting with the boys.

"Don't worry about who wins their match when I'm your opponent." Rebecca warned.

"Oh I'm not worried, I just want my last victory of the day to be against a half decent Trainer and not someone who should be in the kiddy division." Ursula replied.

"Kiddy division!" Molly repeated angrily.

"Lets see if you can keep talking when you lose." Misty stated.

"Like I said before you'll all see me win." Ursula said her tone laced with arrogance.

"Sorry I must have toned you out." Misty replied with a smile.

A scowl formed on Ursula's face at the thought of being ignored. "Whatever!" Ursula huffed as she left the field.

"I'll deal with her, you two just focus on your battle." Rebecca told her friends.

"You got it." Both Misty and Molly agreed.

With the field now clear Molly and Misty called out their Pokémon. "Misty calls Politoad!" A green, frog-like Pokémon with yellow hands, belly, throat, and toes appeared. It had a long, curled hair on top of its head and pink cheek spots

"A Politoad." Stephan said pulling out his pokedex. "Politoad the Fron Pokémon, The curled hair on Politoed's head is proof of its status as a king. It is said that the longer and more curled the hair, the more respect this Pokémon earns from its peers."

"Go Teddiursa!" Molly released a small Pokémon resembling a bear cub that had short, orange-brown fur that covers its body, except for its mouth and the crescent moon marking on its heads, which were a light tan. It had a small, round body with short limbs and a short, puffy tail.

"Awwww Molly has the cutest Pokémon ever!" Bianca fawned over the tiny bear and prepared to use her Pokedex. "Teddiursa the Little Bear Pokémon, Teddiursa licks its palms that are sweetened by being soaked in honey and makes its own honey by blending fruits and pollen collected by Beedrill."

"Does she have any Pokémon other then these cutesy one?" Paul asked raising his eyebrow quizzically.

"What do expect her to use, a Magmortor and Ursaring?" Ash said jokingly.

"This will be a tough battle for Molly." Dawn stated.

"Yeah but Molly isn't gonna just give Misty a win." Ash replied.

Both Misty and Molly stood with confident smiles are they were about start. "Both Trainer ready, now begin!" The referee declared.

"Lets go Teddiursa use Swift attack!" Molly started the battle. The crescent moon on teddiursa's forehead glowed then released energized shooting stars.

"Politoad use Water Gun rapid fire!" Misty commanded then Politoad began shooting down the stars with its countless blasts of water. "Now Bubblebeam!" Politoad fired a flurry of energized bubbles.

"Use Slash Teddiursa!" Teddiursa's claws glowed white and extended, Teddiursa ran into the oncoming bubbles quickly slashing them clearing a path straight to Politoad then struck the Frog Pokémon with it its strengthened claws.

Politoad quickly recovered from the attack and prepared to retaliate "Politoad."

"Teddiursa."

"Use Headbutt!" Both girls ordered.

Politoad and Teddiursa reared their heads back then threw them forward colliding with a painfully load thud. Both Pokémon stood with their heads still lock before stumbling back holding their heads in a daze.

"Ouch, talk about a headache." May cringed.

"I don't think I've seen Headbutt used that way before." Max said watching as the Pokémon tried to steady themselves.

"Teddiursa are you ok?" Molly asked the Little Bear Pokémon who finally shook off the Headbutt.

"Ursa!" (Yeah)

"Great, now use Focus Punch!" Teddiursa gather its energy into its tiny fist until it began to glow then charged in and hit the still disoriented Politoad in the stomach.

"Quick use Hydro Pump!" Misty commanded. With Teddiursa's fist still in its gut Politoad shot a high pressure blast of water from its mouth blowing Teddiursa away.

"And there's a excellent counter from Politoad showing this toad has both power and guts." Don George commentated.

"Teddiursa's attacks aren't strong enough." Molly realized. "So well just have to get stronger, Teddiursa use Bulk Up!" Teddiursa began flexing its arms and was surrounded by a crimson aura as its muscles began strengthen.

"AWWWWWWW SO CUTE!" Every girl in the stadium cried seeing Teddiursa flexing.

"Not the reaction you'd expect from seeing a Pokémon use Bulk UP." Stephan sweat dropped.

"What are you talking about, that was one of the cutest things I've ever seen!" Bianca(Unova) giggled.

"It was also really smart, Bulk Up increases a Pokémon's attack and defense." "Brock revealed the move's actual purpose.

"Now Teddiursa use Shadow Claw!" Teddursa's claw became surrounded in a shadow that stretched across the field then slashed Politoad.

"Politoad use Bubblebeam!" Politoad recovered then fired a beam of energized bubbles that burst through the stretched shadow.

Teddiursa dodge the incoming bubbles then rushed the Frog Pokémon. "Use Focus Punch!" Molly ordered before tiursa's fist glowed with energy.

"Politoad use Focus Blast!" Politoad put its hands together and formed a blue ball of energy then threw it at the tiny normal type.

"Send it back!" Molly advised. Teddiursa stopped its charge and stood its ground as the energy ball closed in then swung its arm hitting the ball. The Focus blast remained intack and began pushing Teddiursa. The Small Bear Pokémon used all its might to keep itself on the ground as it was slowly moving back. "Hang on Teddiursa, I know you can do it." Hearing its Trainer's encouragement Teddiursa felt a new serge of power then drove its fist further into the Focus Blast sending back at Politoad but veered of to the side just missing the shocked water type. "Now use Bulk Up again!" Teddiursa once again began flexing as a red aura surrounded it.

"Let's go Politoad, use Water Gun!" Politoad fired a stream of water from its mouth that was dodged by the tiny bear.

"Use Swift!" The crescent moon on teddiursa's forehead glowed then released rays in the shape of shooting stars that bombarded Politoad.

"Hang in there Politoad use Double Slap!" Politoad stood and took the Swift attack until it saw an opening then rushed in catching Teddiursa off guard then picked up the Little Bear Pokémon and dealt slap after slap to its face.

"Teddiursa use Dynamic Punch!" As Politoad continued its slaps a ball of light formed around Teddiursa's paw the smaller Pokémon raised its fist and Struck Politoad in the face causing a burst of light. Teddiursa now free of its opponent's hold saw Politoad had been left dazed by its Dynamic Punch.

"Oh no Politoad's confused!" Misty realized.

Alright Teddiursa it's time for Thunder Punch!" Molly said confidently. Teddiursa's paw became surrounded by yellow sparks then charging in it hit the oblivious Frog Pokémon with an electrically charged punch.

"Politoad!" Misty gasped as her Pokémon hit the floor.

"That was a smart call holding off on Thunder Punch until she had a better chance of scoring a hit with it." Brock said rather impressed.

"Holding back a secret ingredient until the time is right, a very Ash-like tactic." Cilan evaluated.

"That was pretty impressive Molly, you caught me off guard." The water type Trainer admitted.

"Thanks Misty." Molly said smiling at the compliment.

"Now lets see how you handle this, Politoad use Hyper Voice!" Politoad took a deep breath then let out a thunderous shout. As it shouted the inside of its mouth glowed white and a beam of wind with turquoise rings came from Politoad's mouth which then surrounded Teddiursa forcing it to hold down its ears in pain.

"Oh no teddiursa!" Molly gasped as she saw the sound waves surround her Pokémon. "Try using Swift!" Molly called out. Teddiursa's crescent moon glowed but failed to fire any stars still overwhelmed by the power of Politoad's Hyper Voice.

"It seem that Politoad's attack has got teddiursa pinned down with no means of countering back, could this be it for the feisty little Pokémon?" Don George commented.

"Ok Teddiursa you use your Hyper Voice!" Molly advised coming up with an idea. Doing just as its opponent had Teddiursa took in a deep breath a unleash a powerful shout. The inside of its mouth glowed white and a beam of wind with turquoise rings came from Teddiursa's mouth pushing back Politoad's Hyper Voice freeing Teddiursa.

Both Pokémon voices echoed all throughout the arena causing everyone to hold their heads in an attempt to block the painful sounds of the Hyper Voice attacks.

"My ears feel like they're gonna blow!" Ash yelled in frustration and pain.

"Pika Pi!" (Mine To!)

"No wonder that moves called Hyper Voice!" May cringed and yelled.

Everyone held their ears suffering from the sound-based attack those who had been watching the battle closely such as Stephan, Cameron and Morrison had to step back from the railing further themselves from the ear-piercing noise. Rebecca had shut her laptop for risk of it breaking and Luke had left his position from behind his camera having to protect his ears.

While the entire crowd was suffering from the attack Misty and Molly stood focused on their battle feeling no effect. Suddenly Politoad's Hyper Voice stopped Politoad itself had disappeared from the field prompting Teddiursa to stop as well causing everyone to sigh in relief that the battle of Hyper Voices had ended.

"Now Bounce Politoad!" Misty ordered. Molly quickly looked up and saw politoad falling from the air then land heavily on Teddiursa then bounce off it again. "Now Mega Punch!" Politoad rushed in with is fist glowing white as Teddiursa lifted itself up.

"Teddiursa use Dynamic Punch!" Teddiursa gathered light in its paw then countered Politoad's Mega Punch with its own punch. "Now use Bulk Up one more time." Molly ordered as the two Pokémon brock apart then Teddiursa flexed its muscles as it was surrounded by a dark red aura.

"Ok Politoad Use Mega Punch!" Misty commanded confidently.

"Thunder Punch Teddiursa!" Molly order matching Misty's determination.

"Both the Little Bear and Frog Pokémon rushed one another and then began dealing punch after punch, Politoad with its energy charged flippers and Teddiursa with its electrically charged paws. Both Pokémon took each strike then countered back with its own nether side giving an inch.

"GO!" Both Trainers cried out.

"Politoad and Teddiursa moved in to throw what would be their last punch and connected with each others faces. Both Pokémon stood shakily as they had their opponent's fist lodged in their face using what little energy they had left to keep themselves standing until one finally fell.

"Politoad is unable to battle, the winner is Teddiursa and the match goes to Molly!"

Molly stood speechless as she heard the referee declare the winner of their match. "We won... Teddiursa we did it!" Molly cheered as the reality of the battle hit her then held her arms out to her Pokémon who rushed to hug it trainer.

"Politoad you did great out there." Misty said hugging her exhausted Frog Pokémon.

"Wow who would've guessed Molly would beat Misty." Dawn said in amazement.

"Yeah she really has come a long way since she started training with Ash." Tracy agreed.

"It took more then just Ash's training to beat Misty, Molly is starting to get a feel for her own style from what Ash taught her." Brock pointed out.

"Brock's right, she's really getting good." Ash said proudly.

"A very impressive battle to say the least, and a very surprising outcome, your thoughts Cynthia." Don George announced.

"Both Trainer gave their all resulting in a battle that helped both grow even stronger." The Sinnoh Champion weighed in.

As Molly hugged her Teddiursa tight Misty walked across the field to talk to her. "You were pretty good Molly."

"Thanks, but I think it was that last Bulk Up that made the difference." Molly admitted.

"Even if it did that was a really great battle."

"Yeah it was so much fun, I hope we get to battle like that again sometime." Molly proposed.

"I'd like that to, but there's no way I'll lose again." Misty warned playfully.

"Well nether will I." Molly replied back then both girls broke out in laughter.

With Misty and Molly's battle over the second match got underway. Ursula and her Vespiquen faced Rebecca and her Tyranitar. After her battle with Zoey Rebecca had gain a good deal of incite on the basis of how Coordinators battle and putting to good use in this battle. Try as she mite Ursula was having no luck in taking control of the battle, being easily overpowered.

"Now Tyranitar use Flamethrower!" Rebecca called out her next attack. Tyranitar unleashed a stream of fire from its mouth on Ursula's Pokémon.

"Vespiquen use Air Slash!" Ursula demanded in frustration. Vespiquen form a ball of wind in its hand then released it cutting through the fire and sent it towards Tyranitar.

"Dodge that and use Dragon Claw!" Rebecca ordered staying much more composed then her opponent. Contrary to its size Tyranitar quickly dodged the sphere of wind then with both it claws glowing blue rushed in and hit Vespiquen with two powerful strikes.

"Man Rebecca's had control of the whole match." Ash said watching in astonishment.

"Like we told you she's a master strategist and once she gets a feel for her opponents style she can take the battle with ease." Rafe explained.

"That's showin her who's boss!" Sid cheered.

"Go Rebecca go!" Audrey and Kathryn chanted.

"Use Poison Sting!" Ursula ordered. Vespiquen then fired a shower of purple glowing poison needles.

"Tyranitar, Stone Edge!" Two rings of white light formed around Tyranitar then changed into sharp pointed stones which were then fired smashing through the Poison Sting and into Vespiquen knocking it to the ground.

"Another powerhouse hit from Tyranitar, looks like this could be it for Vespiquen." Don George observed.

"Rebecca's got this for sure." Dawn stated.

"Looks like Ursula gonna be eating her words soon." Said Zoey.

"Yeah her big mouth can't save her now." Misty said excitedly.

Ursula growled in frustration at her losing situation when she was struck with an idea and her scowl turned into a smirk.

"Tyranitar use Hyper Beam!"

"Destiny Bond Vespiquen!" Vespiquen's eyes glowed purple then an image of its eyes appeared and hit Tyranitar but seemed to have no effect leaving it to fire a powerful beam of concentrated energy at Vespiquen scoring a direct hit seeming to defeat it. Suddenly Venspiquen's swirling eyes glowed purple and Tyranitar's body was surrounded by a purple aura then simple fainted.

"What!" Rebecca gasped just as everyone in the arena did while Ursula smiled confidently, very pleased with herself.

"No Way!" Audrey and Kathryn exclaimed seeing their friend's Pokémon go down.

"They're both knocked out! Sid said in shock.

"And this is a one on one battle." Rafe reminded everyone.

"Quite an interesting turn of events we have here, both Pokémon have fallen but this being a single battle means another Pokémon can not take its place which means the final decision goes to the referee." Don George explained.

"Because Destiny Bond was the first attack to hit and the last attack to take effect the winner of the battle is Vespiquen and the match goes to Ursula!" The referee declared.

This match did not end with the cheering of fans and a round of applause but with a wave of booing and a sounds of protest. All throughout the stadium the decision to give the match to Ursula was poorly received but more aggravating to the spectators was Ursula herself who stood with a confident smirk on her face. "Looks like I I'll be the one moving on." Ursula said to Rebecca snidely.

"It's my own fault I lost, I should have expected a desperate move from a desperate opponent." Rebecca replied calmly causing Ursula to scowl once again.

"I can't believe this." Rafe growled angrily feeling his friend had been cheated.

"Rebecca had control the whole match and they say she lost." Sid reiterated is disbelief and frustration.

"What a dirty underhanded move." Said Iris.

"That's Ursula for you." Dawn said bitterly.

"It's one thing to use Destiny Bond in a full battle, but in a single battle like this its just a desperate thing to do. Said Ritchie.

"Right, she knew she was done for so she use that move hoping it might get her the win, only problem is it did." Stephan stated.

"A win like that is a hallow victory, she won the match but she knows she lost to the superior trainer." Said Paul.

"With an ego as big as hers I don't think she really cares." Said May.

As Rebecca returned to the others looking little more then annoyed the first to greet her was Brock. "My dear Rebecca, how cruel it is that someone as beautiful and as talented as yourself must face defeat because of a minor rule, please allow me to be your comforting shoulder to cry ahhhhh!" Brock was silenced by his faithful handler Crogunk.

"She just dealt with one pain in the neck she doesn't need another." Max and Misty said dragging the breeder away by his ears.

"To bad about your Battle Rebecca." Sid said sympathetically.

"Yeah and losing to her of all people." Said Audrey.

"It isn't fair, you had her totally beat." Said Kathryn.

"Thanks guys but there's no point in worrying about it, she won with a cheap trick, there's no way I'm letting that get to me." Rebecca told her friends surly.

"There's the Rebecca I know." Rafe said not surprised at all by her reaction.

"Although I would have liked to knock her out of this competition." Rebecca admitted.

"Well now its just down to Ursula and Molly." Dawn reminded the group.

"Then Ursula is as good as gone." Ash proclaimed. "Right?"

"Right, no way I'm losing to her." Molly replied confidently.

"We're all counting on you Molly." Misty told the little girl.

"Yeah we can't let someone like her win this." May added.

"Get out their and show her what a real trainer can do." Said Zoey.

"Wipe that smirk right off her face." Dawn suggested.

"And be sure to give her few extra hits for me." Rebecca asked.

"Me to." Said Audrey.

"Thanks everybody, I'll beat her for sure." Molly told the group before she went to take her place on the field.

"Ladies and Gentlemen its time for the final match, first is the Coordinator who's show she'll do what ever it take for the win, Ursula!" The crowd booed at the girl while she had her arrogant smile still in place.

"And her opponent the little Trainer who's been on a big winning streak, Molly!" This time the crowed let out roaring encouraging the younger girl to take the battle. While those cheering hardest were her friends who moments ago she had promised a win.

"Now for this final match both trainers will use two Pokémon in a double battle." Don George explained.

"A double battle?" Molly said surprised.

"What's the matter they didn't cover double battles in preschool today?" Ursula mocked.

Molly stared daggers at her opponent before taking a deep breath remembering one of Ash's rules to battling was to keep calm and keep focused. "A double battle it is then."

"Fine then Flareon, Vaporeon lets go!" Ursula called two quadruped Pokémon one was red with and long ears, dark eyes, and a small black nose. Its body was covered in reddish-orange fur with a bushy tail, fluffy collar, and a tuft of fur on its head were yellow. The second was light blue with dark blue ridge around its head and has a ridge down its back and a split tailfin. It also had a white ruff around its neck, and three fins around its head made of cream-colored webbing.

"Who are those Pokémon?" Barry wondered taking out his pokedex to scan them both."Flareon the Flame Pokémon and the evolved form of Eevee,Flareon's fluffy fur has a functional purpose - it releases heat into the air so that its body does not get excessively hot. This Pokémon's body temperature can rise to a maximum of 1,650 degrees. Barry then moved to the second"Vaporeon the Bubble Jet Pokémon and the evolved form of Eevee, Vaporeon underwent a spontaneous mutation and grew fins and gills that allow it to live underwater. This Pokémon has the ability to freely control water as well as melt into water itself."

She's made a good chose, Flareon and Vaporeon are exact opposites which in this case make them a good match." Virgil stated knowing about the Pokémon he himself used.

"Hope Molly has something that can handle those two." Max thought aloud.

"She does." Ash said knowingly.

"Now go Eevee, Pichu!" Molly called out her two Pokémon, the first was a small fox Pokémon with brown fur a busy tail and a cream-colored collar of fur around its neck. the second was small rodent Pokémon with pale yellow fur and its eartips, collar, and tail are black and angular with two pink cheeks.

"Cool an Eevee and a Pichu." Casey said about use her Pokedex. "Eevee the Evolution Pokémon, Eevee has an unstable genetic makeup that suddenly mutates due to the environment in which it lives. Radiation from various stones causes this Pokémon to evolve." Casey then scanned the second Pokémon. "Pichu the Tiny Mouse Pokémon, despite its size, Pichu release bursts of electricity that can shock even humans. However, Pichu are unskilled at controlling their electricity, and sometimes release it by accident when surprised, or when laughing and shock themselves."

"A very interesting matchup Eevee facing two members of its evolutionary family backed up by Pichu." Don George Commented.

"It looks like Molly has the advantage with Pichu being an electric type and Vaporeon being a water type." Dawn said with a hint of relief.

"With type maybe but Molly's never face a Coordinator before and this being a double battle sets Ursula up for using her Pokémon's combination attacks." Brock said grimly.

"Brock your worrying to much, Molly's seen May and Dawn battle plenty of time she's seen Ursula's matches to and I taught her everything there is to know about double battles." Ash said confidently.

"Ash my have a point Brock, Molly does has a good chance of beating Ursula." Said Misty.

"I agree Ashy-boy's little star student just mite have this." Gary threw in.

"Well we're about to find out." May said getting everyone's attention back on the field.

"Both Trainers ready, now begin!"

"Flareon, Vaporeon use Quick Attack!" Both Pokémon shot forward at blinding speeds leaving a silver trail behind them while crisscrossing each others back and forth then Flareon attack Pichu and Vaporeon attacked Eevee.

"Wow that was fast!" Molly gasped.

"Now use Iron Tail!" Both Vaporeon and Flareon's tails became coated in metal which they used to strike both of their opponents.

"A quick and powerful start from Ursula showing her Pokémon's teamwork, will molly be able to hold her own." Don George wondered.

"Pichu use Thunder Shock on Vaporeon, Eevee use Shadow Ball on Flareon!" Pichu unleash a small strem of electricity from its body while Eevee form a ball of dark energy in front of its mouth and fired it.

Both Vaporeon and Flareon leapt over the incoming attacks in perfect sync. "Use Hidden Power!" Blue orbs of light form around Vaporeon and red orbs formed around Flareon which then began raining down on Eevee and Pichu who moved frantically to dodge them.

"Quick you two get out of there!" Molly advised as the orbs continued to fall around her Pokémon. Pichu and Eevee moved evasively through the falling orb reaching a safe spot to counter from. "Alright Eevee use Take Down on Flareon and Pichu you use Iron Tail on Vaporeon!" Eevee charged in toward the fire type while Pichu began swinging it metal coat tail at the water type. Pichu swung back and forth trying to land a hit but Vaporeon gracefully dodge each attack as if it were dancing. Pichu then leapt in for another swing only to have Vaporeon jump over it and then slammed into its own partner Eevee who had be baited in the trap by Flareon.

"Flareon use Fire Spin, and Vaporeon use Water Pulse !" High above its opponents Flareon opened its mouth and released a spiral of fire downward that captured Pichu and Eevee in its vortex but failed to make contact on them. Then Vaporeon form a blue ball of energized water and fired it into the center of the Fire Spin were Pichu and Eevee were trapped. Once the Water Pulse hit the Fire Spin was destroyed revealing Molly's Pokémon to have taken another hit.

"Pichu Eevee are you both alright!" Molly asked her Pokémon as the stood to their feet.

"This is going to be easier than I thought." Ursula said smugly. "Use Quick Attack!" Once again both Pokémon moved with amazing speed moving in formation toward Molly's Pokémon.

"Eevee quick use dig!" Eevee jumped at the ground and began digging a hole into the field. "Pichu follow Eevee!" Pichu then jumped into the hole after its partner leaving Flareon and Vaporeon with no targets.

"What, where'd they go!" Ursula wondered while her Pokémon scanned the field looking for any sign of the missing Pokémon. Suddenly from behind them came up Pichu. "Hah, there you are." Ursula laughed as Flareon and Vaporeon prepared to attack until from under Flareon Eevee burst up tackling the fire Pokémon.

Vaporeon who had been surprised by the sudden attack on its partner failed to relies that Pichu was still in front of it. "Ok Pichu use Thunderbolt and Eevee use Shadow Ball!" Pichu unleashed a powerful bolt of lightning from its body shocking Vaporeon while Eevee fire an orb of dark energy into the still stunned Flareon. "Alright great job you two!" Molly praised her team.

"A well timed Dig combined with Thunderbolt and Shadow Ball puts Molly back in this battle." Don George Commentated.

"One lucky move isn't going to change anything." Ursula hissed. "Flareon use Flame Charge and Vaporeon use Aqua Jet!" Both Pokémon charged across the field with Flareon becoming surrounded by fire and Vaporeon by water before lifting off the ground then launching at their opponents and spiraling around one another before making contact with Flareon hitting Pichu and Vaporeon hitting Eevee. "Like I said one lucky move won't change anything." Ursula said snidely as Molly's Pokémon got back up panting heavily.

"This is bad, I have to figure out a way to break up their teamwork." Molly thought to herself. "As long as Flareon and Vaporeon can work together thet'll keep hitting use with combination attacks, if this were a contest I probably would have lost already, her moves are way better suited for contest battles." Molly then though of each of the attack Ursula had launched. "Wait that's it!"

"Now Quick Attack!" Ursula ordered. Both Pokémon began moving at high speeds using their crisscrossing pattern.

"Pichu, Eevee fire your attacks down the center of their paths!" Eevee fired another Shadow Ball then landed right between Flareon and Vaporeon just as they were about to cross each other's path stopping them then Pichu fired a bolt of electricity between them driving them further apart then redirected it to hit Vaporeon.

"Flareon quick, help Vaporeon!"

"Eevee use Take Down!" As Flareon rushed to help the Bubble Jet Pokémon it was struck in its side by Eevee and sent flying into Vaporeon. "Yeah!"

"Don't let them get away with that, use Water Pulse and Fire Spin!" Ursula demanded. Both Pokémon began charging up for their attack and prepared to attack in combination.

"Pichu use Charge Beam, Eevee use Hidden Power!" A yellow aura surrounded Pichu as an orb of electric energy formed between its hands then unleash a concentrated yellow beam. A white aura outlined Eevee's body then two rings of white orbs circled it in an X formation then disappeared as Eevee fired a beam of white energy. Both Pokémon fired their beams at Ursula's team who were still charging their attack hitting them dead on before they could finish.

Ursula growled in frustration as she saw her attack interrupted and prepared her next. "Both of you use iron Tail!" Vaporeon and Flareon ran side by side with their tails incased in a metal coating.

"Pichu use Thunderbolt and Eevee use Shadow ball on Flareon!" Pichu fired a bolt of lighting and Eevee fired a ball of dark energy. Flareon and Vaporeon were about to jump into the air when the attack hit Flareon knocking it back and keeping it grounded. Vaporeon jumped into the air doing a flip bring down its iron coated tail. "Both of you use Iron Tail!" Eevee and Pichu jumped up and crossed their tails meeting Vaporeon's Iron Tail with their own. With their combined power Molly's Pokémon deflected Vaporeon's iron Tail the struck the Bubble Jet Pokémon with their own.

"How is she doing this!" Ursula asked herself growing more furious by the second.

"Still can't figure it out yet?" Molly asked with a confident smile.

"Figure what out?" Ursula growled.

"That you contest moves aren't going to work anymore." Molly replied.

"What!" Ursula gasped.

"She finally got it." Ash said proudly.

"Got what?" May asked.

"The trick to beating someone like Ursula." Ash elaborated.

"There's a trick to beating her?" May repeated.

"Sort of, Ursula might be skilled in contest battles but she doesn't have any background with regular battling so even in a regular battle she battles like its a contest." Brock jumped in to explain.

"Because of that her moves are more telegraphed and drawn out, in a contest her opponent's attacks would be to, but against someone who's use to normal battling would attack straight away without trying to make their attacks look flashy." Rebecca joined in the breakdown knowing of the tactic herself.

"And that's Molly's chance to attack Vaporeon and Flareon to brake up their teamwork and then deal the real damage to them." Ash finished.

"I get it, when she tries some big contest combination all Molly has to do is time it right and she'll stop the attack and score a big hit on Ursula to." Misty reiterated.

"Right, against Coordinators like May, Dawn and Zoey it wouldn't work because they know how to add regular battling into thier contest styles, but Ursula only has contest moves." Ash add the final detail.

"There's no way a pipsqueak like you is gonna beat me, Flareon, Vaporeon use Quick Attack!" Flareon and Vaporeon charged forward once again in formation.

"Pichu spin and use Thunderbolt!" Molly ordered. Eevee jumped off the field while Pichu dropped to its back and began spinning and used Thunderbolt to wipe the electricity across the battlefield stopping both Vaporeon and Flareon in their tracks. Then while still in the air Eevee fired to Shadow Balls at each of its evolutionary opponents scoring a clean hit on both. "Now use Dig Eevee!" Eevee dropped from the air and into the ground digging a hole into the field with Pichu fallowing.

"Not this again!" Ursula growled. Flareon and Vaporen looked frantically around the field trying to find where Eevee would come up. Suddenly Vaperon was shot up into the air by a Shadow ball from underneath it and from out of the hole came Pichu who then dealt Flareon a powerful Thunderbolt at point blank range.

"Great job you two." Molly encouraged her team as they fell back to wait for their next order.

"You annoying little pest I through with you, Vaporeon use Water Pulse and Flareon use Scary Face!" Vaporeon fire a sphere of water at the ground that exploded into a massive wave then Flareon's eyes glowed red and a large image of its face appeared then fired into the wave. In the front of the wave Flareon Scary Face burst through in the water creating a frightening image.

"Ahhhhhh, what is that!" Barry screamed hugging the person closest to him who happened to be Morrison.

"Why are you asking me!" Morrison shouted.

"Ursula used that combination before at the Grand Festival." Dawn stated remembering the move.

Eevee and Pichu stood frozen with fear at the sight of the Scary Face and were swept up in the wave.

"Now use Flame Charge and Aqua Jet!" Ursula ordered. Flareon became surrounded by fire and Vaporeon by water before lifting off the ground then launching at their opponents, Flareon struck Pichu while Vaporeon hit Pichu. "Flareon use Fire Spin, Vaporeon use Aqua Tail." Flareon opened its mouth and released a spiral of fire then Vaporeon unleashed a spiral of Water from it tail smashing Eevee and Pichu between both attacks. "Finish with Hidden Power!" Blue orbs of light form around Vaporeon and red orbs formed around Flareon which were then fired at their opponents in an explosion of purple.

"Eevee, Pichu!" Molly gasped.

"This looks bad." Dawn said worried.

"Pichu and Eevee took a lot of damage." Iris stated.

"That attack was vicious." Brock said grimly.

"All that just cause Molly had the edge on her for bit." Stephan said in disbelief.

"Now do you see that it doesn't matter if you get a lucky break, you can't beat me." Ursula said regaining her smug tone.

Molly looked up from her injured Pokémon to glare at the other girl. "All I see is that you're as sore as losers get."

"What, you really think you can beat me now?" Ursula said annoyed.

"I know I can!" Molly proclaimed just as Pichu and Eevee rose up ready to continue. "See, Eevee and Pichu aren't ready to give up either, so I know that we're gonna win this battle!" Eevee and Pichu were suddenly engulfed by a bright light.

The entire arena gasped at the sight. Both Pokémon began growing larger, their shapes and forms changing altogether until the light faded reveling two Pokémon.

"Espe!" Said the first, a quadruped Pokémon with slender legs and dainty paws. covered in fine lilac fur with large ears and purple eyes.

"Pika!" Cried the second, a small rodent Pokémon covered in yellow fur with pointed ears and short limbs with a tail resembling a thunderbolt but unlike Ash's partner Pokémon this one had a V-shaped notch at the end of its tail.

"Espeon and Pikachu you both evolved!" Molly cheered with excitement.

"Wow awesome." Ritchie said taking out his pokedex. "Espeon, the Sun Pokémon, Espeon is extremely loyal to any trainer it considers to be worthy. It is said to have developed precognitive powers to protect its trainer from harm by reading air currents."

"Now Molly has a Pikachu to." Bianca said readying her pokedex. "Pikachu, The Mouse Pokémon, It stores electricity in the electric sacs on its cheeks. When it releases pent-up energy in a burst, the electric power is equal to a lightning bolt. The females are distinguishable by a V-shaped notch at the end of its tail"

"Talk about good timing." Said Misty.

"Good timing is right." May agreed.

"Timing had nothing to do with it, Molly believed in her Pokémon, that's what did it!" Ash corrected. "Pika Pika Chu!" (Yeah it did!)

"Yes the bonds between the female and her Pokémon reached its peak in this moment allowing them to evolve." Riolu agreed.

"Are you both ready to win this?" Molly asked her new Pokémon.

"Pika!" (Yeah!)

"Espe!" (Totally!)

"I don't think so, Use Hidden Power!" Ursula ordered.

"Espeon use Psychic!"

Flareon and Vaporeon unleashed another barrage of orbs that were stopped inches from their target as Espeon took control of them as its eyes and the red jewel on its forehead glowed. "Ok Pikachu show them your Volt Tackle!" Pikachu ran forward and became surrounded by golden electricity.

"Use Fire Spin and Aqua Tail!" Ursula demanded.

"Espeon use the Hidden Power to protect Pikachu." Molly advised.

Flareon opened its mouth and released a spiral of fire then Vaporeon unleashed a spiral of Water from it tail. As the attack was about to hit Espeon used Psychic to cover Pikachu in their opponents last Hidden Power attack blocking the spirals of fire and water allowing Pikachu to continue it charge smashing into Flareon sending it into Vaporeon causing them both damage.

"Ash did you help Molly teach Pichu Volt Tackle?" Dawn asked amazed.

"No Pichu already knew Volt Tackle, Pikachu and I just gave them some pointers." Ash replied still glued to the battle.

"I'm not losing to some little pest, Flareon use Flamethrower and Vaporeon use Hydro Pump!" Ursula said her furry growing. Flareon unleashed a stream of fire from its mouth while Vaporeon fired a high pressure blast of water.

"Espeon use Pysbeam and Pikachu use Thunderbolt!" Espeon fired a multicolored beam from the jewel on its forehead and Pikachu fired a bolt of electricity from its four attack collided with intense power but Psybeam and Thunderbolt quickly cut through Flamethrower and Hydro Pump and hit Flareon and Vaporeon.

"No way!" Ursula gasped seeing her team go down.

"Alright now lets win this, Pikachu use Electro Ball and Espeon use Psybeam!" Molly ordered. Pikachu became surrounded by electricity that was then condensed into her tail and formed a ball of electricity. She then jumped up doing a front flip and threw the orb off her tail. Espeon then fired another beam from the jewel on its head hitting the Electro ball covering it in multicolored sparks the orb then flew across the field and connected with Flareon and Vaporeon resulting in a large explosion. When the smoke finally clear both the fire type and water type were laid out defeated.

"This can't be!" Ursula said in total shock.

"Flareon and Vaporeon are unable to battle, the winners are Pikachu and Espeon, the winner of the final match is Molly!"

The stadium exploded in cheers at the declaration of victory. "We did it!" Molly cheered as Pikachu and Espeon rushed to her side joining in the excitement.

"And there you have it folks in a battle full of twist and turns we have a winner the young miss Molly." Don George announced.

"A truly excellent job by a gifted trainer." Cynthia added.

"She did it!" Ash and his friends cheered.

"Molly wiped the battlefield with that bigmouth." Misty cheered.

"She showed just how much her training has paid off." Said Tracy.

"A wonderful sight to behold, the growth of new talent." Cilan evaluated.

"The kid's not bad I'll give her that." Paul said truthfully.

"Not bad, she was awesome." Ritchie gave his opinion.

"It could have been a lot of fun to battle with her." Rebecca pondered.

"Yeah we should have a double battle with her sometime." Said both Audrey and Kathryn.

"Man I wish I could have battled like that when I was her age." Casey admitted.

"Yeah, a few more years and we'll have to watch out for her." Said Stephan. "You really did a great job with her Ash."

"I just helped her a little." Ash laughed rubbing the back of his head. "Everything else was all her."

Molly now stood in the center of the field on a platform with all five of her Pokémon waiting to be presented with her prizes. Don George stepped up holding a case with the evolutionary items while Cynthia stood infront of Molly holding a trophy topped with a prism pokeball. Molly gulped nervously standing before the strongest female in the Pokémon world with her nerves only furthered by the simple fact of the older blond towered over her.

Cynthia stepped forward then knelt down to Molly's height and gave her a bright smile. "That was quite an impressive display for someone so young." The Sinnoh champ then hand her the trophy. "I hope that someday you and I might have a battle."

Molly's heart sored hearing the Champion praise her. "Thank you Cynthia, I'd really love that to."

Cynthia smiled once again as she stood and turned to the crowd. "The winner of the competition, Prism Princess Molly!" Cynthia announced before the crowd broke out in applause. Molly and her Pokémon waved to the crowd almost at a loss for words, ALMOST.

"I just won the Prism Princess Competition!" Molly cheered joined by her Pokémon.

After the competition's end Molly rushed to rejoin her friend immediately hugging Ash with all her might. "Ash thank you so much, if it wasn't for everything taught me I would have never been able to win."

"I saw you using a few moves I defiantly didn't teach you, in the end it was all you Molly.' Ash said ruffling her hair.

"Ash your a great teacher but you an even better big brother." Molly said hugging him tighter.

"So Molly what are you going to do with all the stones?" May asked.

"Yeah, it's a bummer your Eevee evolved before you got them but you could still use the thunder stone for your Pikachu." Dawn brought up.

"Oh yeah, well I wanted Eevee to evolve into Espeon anyway and I don't think Pikachu wants to evolve that much, as for the stones I'm sharing them with the girls." Molly said opening the box of stones Don George had given her.

"Share them." Everyone said in surprise.

"Yeah we all competed so we should all take one, all I want is the Everstone for Teddiursa." Molly said taking out the stone used to stop evolution.

"Cool, I call dibs on the Waterstone!" Misty jumped in quickly.

"I'll take the Thunderstone!" Casey said taking her pick.

"I pick the Moonstone." May decided.

"What better stone for me then the Dawnstone." Dawn joked taking her stone.

"I want the Shinystone." Said Audrey

"And I want the Duskstone. Said Kathryn.

"I'm good with the Firestone." Zoey said choosing her stone.

"I'll take the Sunstone." Said Iris.

"And I'll take the Ovalstone." Bianca (Unova) said excitedly.

"And the Leafstone works for me." Rebecca made her chose.

The group's examining of their prizes was cut shot by the reappearance of one very loathed Coordinator. "Did you forget I was here already." Ursula said causing everyone's mood to drop.

"We were trying to." Misty groaned.

"What do want now Ursula?" Dawn asked wanting to be through with the other Coordinator.

"Oh don't worry Dawn I didn't come here to see you, I came to see the little shrimp Molly." Ursula replied. "And I came to tell her that we're going to battle again so I can prove she won on nothing but luck and that I'm looking forward to my chance to humiliate her."

"You'll be waiting a long time." Molly shot back earning a scowl from Ursula before she turned to leave.

"Oh and Dawn don't think this lets you off the hook either so be ready." Ursula said before finally leaving.

Dawn sighed while the whole group stared at the departing girl with looks of confusion and annoyance. "Why can't she just drop it?" Ash wondered.

"People who carry a big ego never drop a small grudge." Zoey answered.

"That makes a lot of sense." May agreed.

"Speaking of people that hold a grudge, look." Stephan pointed to Burgundy and Georgia who had show up behind the group.

"Oh great." Iris sighed.

"Alright Iris, lets get something straight after I win the Prism League I'm coming for another battle with you so you better get stronger, you got that!" Georgia demanded.

"Fine, but there is no way your gonna win!" Iris shot back.

"Says someone who wasn't even invited!" Georgia growled.

"And you Cilan I will prove without a doubt I am the superior Connoisseur before the Prism League's end, do you hear me!" Burgundy proclaimed.

"Yes and I most certainly look forward to it." Cilan replied sincerely only annoying Burgundy more.

"I can't stand when you pretend to be nice!" Burgundy said before stomping off with Georgia not far behind her.

"Well the crazy girls with vendettas aside today wasn't to bad." Said Gary.

"Yeah seeing all those great matches really did save today from turning into a total pain." Ash reminded the males.

"And we still have a few hours left to shop!" All the girls cheered.

"What!" the boys asked horrified.

"You heard us boys the sales aren't done and nether are we." Misty said as the girls retrieved their shopping bag seemingly from out of nowhere and refilled the boys arms.

"You've got to be kidding me." Ash whined as he and his friends were dragged back to the shopping district by the girls. "Master it feels as though the females have once again taken your positive energy." Riolu stated as he followed the girls. "No duh." Ash groaned.

"Pi Pika Pi Pi Pikachu." (Just hang in there Ash.) Pikachu said following along.

As the girls marched along happily imaging the many sales they would soon find the boys were dragged behind the girls their arms full of bags with no hope of escaping their nightmare. The girls gave one last cheer for their favorite holiday.

"THERE"S NO DAY LIKE PRISSCESS FESTIVAL DAY!"

I decided to do this chapter because I liked the Princess Festival episode from the anime and since the Prism League is up next we'll really only be seeing Ash and his opponents battle so I thought this would be a good chance to get a few different battles in before that. I know some people might not like who beat who in the competition but this is the way I wanted to do this chapter so if you didn't like certain parts then you don't have to read that part that's all I'm saying. But I hope everyone had at least one battle they really liked in this chapter.
