I posted a short chapter early last week, so if you missed it, I recommend you check it out.

I am so sorry for the huge gaps between chapters... life's been a bit hectic lately! But uploading will be normal from this week on:)

There'll be two more chapters after this one before Season One ends:)

IMPORTANT: I have a few ideas for Season Two:

1) Do a time skip and finish Season One with Graduation and have Season Two take place during summer (I don't mean have everyone graduate, only the current Seniors)

2) Finish Season One with Graduation and begin Season Two with a new school year.

3) Don't do a time skip and have Season Two take place straight after the end of Season One.

There's a poll open on my profile, so please vote if you have the time:)

Anyway, enjoy!

Tuesday 23rd December:

Charlotte Hudson's POV:

Charlotte awoke in a room she didn't recognize. Her head was throbbing and her throat was dry. She sat up and looked around. There were four other people sprawled out across the floor. She didn't recognize any of them.

Charlotte left the room and walked out the front door of the house. She sat down on the porch outside and removed her phone from her pocket. She cursed when it didn't turn on.

She couldn't remember much from the night before. The last thing she could remember was leaving the restaurant with Roman, Jonas and Lyssa. Everything after that was a blur. Charlotte buried her face in her hands and tried with all of her might not to scream.

"Charlotte?"

Charlotte looked up and blew a sigh of relief when her eyes landed upon Jonas. His hair was a mess and his scars were clearly visible. Charlotte made sure not to stare.

"Hey... any idea where we are?" Charlotte asked.

Jonas shook his head, 'I think Roman brought us here. There was a party last night or something.'

Charlotte stood up, 'We should probably find Lyssa... and Roman.'

"They're gone," Jonas said, leaning against the house, 'They woke up two hours ago. I gave Roman my car keys and volunteered to stay here until you were up.'

"Why didn't you just wake me?" Charlotte asked.

"Oh, we tried," Jonas laughed.

Charlotte blushed, 'Why did you stay?'

"Hmm?"

"Sorry... It's just... I would have expected Lyssa to wait for me."

Jonas shrugged, 'She was in pretty bad shape.'

"Oh... okay."

"So, where do you live?" Jonas asked.

Charlotte looked around and spotted a street sign. She recognized the name.

"About twenty minutes that way." Charlotte replied, pointing to the left.

"I'm heading in that direction too... Let me walk you."

After about ten minutes of walking and talking, the conversation came to Lyssa.

"So... what's your deal with her?" Charlotte asked, 'Do you like her... do you feel sorry for her...?'

Jonas sighed, 'I thought I liked her... That summer I spent with her... was amazing, even though I spent the entire time feeling guilty about Eloise.'

Charlotte nodded, 'What changed?'

"She did... and I did, I guess." Jonas replied, 'She used to be so pure... and so innocent and independent. Nowadays... she just seems... different.'

"People change." Charlotte replied.

"Yeah... yeah I know."

"Well, here's my house." Charlotte said, pointing to a small, white house.

"Alright... I'll see you later," Jonas smiled, 'Oh, wait. Are you coming to that rave tonight?'

"What rave?"

"The one in the warehouse at the edge of town... They put it on every year." Jonas explained.

"Hmm, would I know anyone going?"

"Lyssa, Roman and I are going. Roman's step-sister, Avalon, and her boyfriend got back from Korea this morning, so they might be going. I heard that Austen, Zachary, Joshua, Tayla, Lindsay and her cousin McKenna, and Blake are going too. I think we're all going as one big group." Jonas said.

Charlotte thought for a moment, 'I have to mind my brothers..."

"Can't your parents?"

Charlotte's face dropped, 'No.'

"Why not?"

"It doesn't matter... Look, I'll talk to you later. Bye." Charlotte said quickly before turning around and entering her house.

Avalon Brickstone's POV:

Avalon climbed into the taxi after Aaron. She clenched his hand and turned to face him.

"Aaron... why are you being so distant? Your mom's going to be fine... The doctors said she'd make a full recovery."

Aaron didn't reply. He kept his gaze fixed upon the back of the car seat in front of him.

"Aaron..." Avalon pleaded.

"Let's get married." Aaron said.

Avalon's eyes widened, 'What?'

Aaron turned to face her, 'Marry me.'

The taxi driver turned around and smiled, 'Congratulations!'

"Shut up." Avalon snapped, 'Aaron... where is this coming from?'

"My dad... he wants me to move back to Korea... I can't do that. I have enough money saved in the bank for two tickets to New York. We can move there... start a new life. You can go to culinary school and I can go to NYU... It'll be perfect."

"Aaron... we can't just pack up and leave... We have friends here... and school... and family. You can't run away from your problems... stand up to your dad."

"It's not that easy, Av." Aaron said, 'He's stubborn. He won't change his mind. At least promise me you'll think about it?'

Avalon bit her bottom lip, 'Fine. I'll think about it.'

Charlotte Hudson's POV:

Charlotte arrived outside her Uncle and Aunt's house with her younger twin-brothers, Champion and Chandler.

"Now, listen you two," Charlotte said, kneeling down to face them, 'Don't say anything about Mom or Dad, okay?'

"When are they coming back?" Champion asked.

Charlotte's eyes watered, 'Soon, Champ.'

Charlotte took her brother's hands and walked up to the front door. The door opened and Carole wrapped her arms around Charlotte.

"Charlotte! It's so good to see you!" Carole beamed before kneeling down to Champion and Chandler, 'You two have grown so much!'

Burt arrived at the doorframe and Chandler and Champion ran to him.

"Where are you parents Charlotte?" Carole asked.

Charlotte panicked. Had Carole somehow figured out her situation?

"Uh..."

"You said they'd be here with you." Carole said.

"Oh, yeah! Sorry, they couldn't make it... They have food poisoning." Charlotte replied.

Carole nodded sadly and beckoned for Charlotte to come in.

After dinner, the boys gathered in the sitting room with Burt while Charlotte helped Carole clean up.

"So, have you got any plans for tonight?" Carole asked while drying a plate.

"No... Well... I was invited to a rave, but I have to mind the boys." Charlotte replied, sighing.

"Nonsense! We can take care of them here. They love spending the night." Carole insisted.

"Are you sure? I don't want to put you under any pressure."

"I'm positive! Things have been quiet around here since... Finn..." Carole trailed off, 'And Kurt is coming home for Christmas tonight. Chandler will be delighted!'

Charlotte smiled and wrapped Carole in a hug, 'Thank you so much, Carole.'

Carole smiled and walked to the sitting room. Charlotte took her phone out of her pocket and texted Jonas.

Hey, could u pick me up from my house? For the rave? -Charlotte

Sure, we're all meeting at the school first. What made u change ur mind? -Jonas

My Aunt offered to mind my brothers -Charlotte

Great, see u at 9 -Jonas

Charlotte smiled to herself and thought about what she was going to wear.

Tayla Mallory's POV:

Tayla climbed out of Avalon's car and leaned against the hood of the car. She looked around at everyone who had arrived.

Joshua and Zachary were making out inside of Zachary's car while Blake and Austen stood outside, chatting. Lyssa and Roman sat side-by-side on the hood of Jonas' car. Jonas and Charlotte were in the car, talking. Lindsay ran over to Avalon and tackled her into a hug before turning and giving Tayla a dirty look. Aaron joined Austen and Blake's conversation.

Tayla noticed McKenna approaching her and she looked away.

"Tayla? Can we talk, please?" McKenna asked.

Tayla wanted to shake her head and walk away, but she nodded anyway and followed McKenna over to a spot in the parking lot where they couldn't be heard.

"I'm... I'm sorry. It's just... I'm having trouble coming to terms with my feelings and stuff." McKenna mumbled, her eyes fixed on the ground.

Tayla sighed, 'It's okay... We can just forget it ever happened.'

McKenna looked up at her and smiled, 'So, is this everyone?'

Tayla turned around and looked at her classmates, 'Yeah, I think so.'

Everyone entered their respective cars and began the drive to the warehouse. Tayla sat in the back of Avalon's car with Lindsay and McKenna.

Upon arriving at the warehouse, everyone gathered into a circle. There were already people heading inside. Jonas held out five small tubs and passed them around.

"It's glow-in-the-dark paint. It's going to be pretty dark in there, so I thought it'd be fun." Jonas explained.

Everyone seemed to like the idea and they began painting themselves. When everyone was ready, the group headed in.

The inside of the warehouse was huge and very loud. Everyone else was wearing glow-in-the-dark paint too. Upon entering, the group was immediately split up. Austen grabbed hold of Tayla's hand and dragged her over to the bar.

"Hey, Tay!" Austen yelled over the music as he wrapped Tayla in a hug, 'I haven't gotten a chance to thank you for helping out with that whole Ryan thing.'

Tayla shook her head, 'Don't mention it. He wasn't worth it. You'll find someone better.'

Austen smiled and ordered two drinks.

"So... is anything going on between you and McKenna?" Austen asked.

Tayla's eyes widened, 'Ugh... I- I don't know what you're talking about...'

Austen laughed, 'I spent most of my life in the closet, I have awesome gaydar.'

Tayla sighed, 'I don't know... We had this moment in the choir room-'

"Oh my god, that's-"

"...but she ran away and called me a dyke."

"Oh..." Austen looked down at the floor.

"It doesn't matter. I haven't had much look with relationships this year, so maybe it's a sign."

Austen took a sip of his drink, 'Yeah... maybe.'

Charlotte Hudson's POV:

Charlotte sat down on the make-shift couch in the corner of the warehouse. She almost jumped when Jonas sat down beside her.

"Having fun?" Jonas asked, taking a sip of his Coke.

Charlotte nodded, 'Shouldn't you be with Lyssa?'

Jonas furrowed his eyebrow, 'Should I be?'

Charlotte shrugged her shoulders, 'She likes you... You like her... I think... I just assumed you'd be together tonight.'

Jonas shrugged, 'Alright, I'll go find her.'

Jonas got up and walked back towards the dance floor. Charlotte cursed under her breath and leaned back in her chair.

She can't be falling for him... She can't be...

"Charlotte!"

Charlotte jumped and turned around. Lyssa tackled her into a hug and sat down next to her.

"Have you seen Jonas anywhere?" Lyssa asked.

Charlotte nodded in the direction he'd gone, 'He went that way.'

Lyssa nodded, 'Charlotte... I think I'm falling for him... He's just so sweet and nice and...'

Lyssa trailed off and stared down at Charlotte's hands, which were clenched into fists.

"Is everything okay?" Lyssa asked.

Charlotte unclenched her fists and her face softened, 'Sorry... yeah. I'm fine. Go find Jonas.'

Lyssa nodded reluctantly and disappeared into the crowd. Charlotte buried her face in her hands and sighed heavily.

"What are you getting yourself into?" She said aloud.

Avalon Brickstone's POV:

Avalon ducked behind a crowd of people as Aaron walked past. She noticed Zachary and Joshua in the corner and ran over to them. She tapped Joshua on the shoulder and he detached himself from Zachary.

"Hey, Av! Aaron was looking for you! I'll tell him-"

"No, no!" Avalon shouted.

Joshua raised his eyebrows and glanced at Zachary, who looked just as confused.

"Sorry... I just need time to myself. Promise me you won't tell him you saw me?" Avalon pleaded.

Joshua sighed and the pair nodded.

"Thank you," Avalon smiled, 'Have you seen Tayla or Austen anywhere?'

"Tayla went into the toilets a second ago," Joshua said.

"I think I saw Austen with Blake at the bar." Zachary added.

Avalon nodded, 'Thanks so much, guys!'

Avalon headed for the toilets first. She barged in and stopped in her tracks. Tayla and McKenna were making out against the wall. McKenna noticed her and her eyes widened. Tayla turned around and gasped.

"Avalon, I-"

"I don't have time to ask questions," Avalon said, grabbing Tayla's hand, 'We have to talk, come on.'

Tayla shouted an apology to McKenna over her shoulder and Avalon dragged her to the bar, where Austen and Blake were talking.

Austen noticed the girls approaching and smiled at them. Blake turned around and grinned.

"Hey ladies-" Blake began.

"Shag off." Avalon said as politely as she could.

Blake took the hint and left the three of them alone.

"What's so important that you had to drag me all the way here?" Tayla asked, rubbing her wrist.

"Aaron proposed." Avalon said.

Tayla's jaw dropped and Austen dropped his glass. The two stared in shock at her before looking at each-other.

"When?" Austen asked.

"This morning... he says he has enough money for tickets to New York..." Avalon explained, 'He said I could go to Culinary School and he could go to NYU.'

Austen and Tayla exchanged nervous glances.

"I...I need both of your advice." Avalon muttered.

"I say go for it." Austen said.

Tayla looked at him with shock and Avalon motioned for him to continue.

"I mean... you two are basically the perfect couple. You two clearly love each-other... so why not?" Austen said.

"...'Why not?'... They're 17! They're both too young!" Tayla screeched, 'Avalon... neither of you have enough experience of the outside world...'

Avalon chewed on her bottom lip and glanced from Tayla to Austen.

"If it's true love-" Austen began.

"This isn't one of your stupid Disney movies, Austen!" Tayla snapped, 'This is real life! People get hurt!'

"Not everyone is as emotionally damaged as you are, Tayla!" Austen shouted back.

Avalon's eyes widened. It was very unlike Austen to say something so nasty.

"Excuse me?" Tayla asked, offended.

"You've had a pretty shitty year so far... You're just taking everything out on everyone else because you're angry at yourself!" Austen replied.

"Oh, please!" Tayla spat, 'At least I wasn't played by someone! I don't let everyone walk all over me!'

Avalon had heard enough. She turned around and walked away from her two supposedly best-friends. They continued arguing and didn't even notice her leave.

Wednesday 24th December, Christmas Eve

Zachary Peterson's POV:

Zachary woke up and looked around him. He was in his room. He looked down and grinned at Joshua, who was leaning against him with his head on Zachary's chest.

Joshua's eyes fluttered open and he stared up at Zachary.

"Were you watching me sleep again?" Joshua asked, sitting up and rubbing his eyes, 'Because you know I think that's creepy.'

Zachary laughed, 'Maybe...'

Joshua pushed Zachary and laughed. The pair stared into each-other's eyes and Zachary planted a kiss on Joshua's cheek.

"I'm so lucky to have you..." Zachary whispered.

"Yeah, you are." Joshua grinned.

"No, seriously," Zachary said, 'I love you... You're everything to me.'

Joshua smiled, 'You're so cringy.'

Zachary laughed and the pair lay in bed for an hour or so, talking, before Joshua's phone rang. He picked it up and put it to his ear. Joshua's eyes widened.

"Okay... we'll be there in twenty minutes!" Joshua shouted down the phone.

Joshua jumped up and got dressed. Zachary did the same.

"What's going on?" Zachary asked.

Joshua frowned, 'Avalon's missing.'
